Bella's POV, two years later
Tonight was finally the night I had waited nearly six years for, and it had been so worth it. Julia and Olivia were growing up to be just as independent and at times sassy as Rose and I were, and that sometimes led to pouts and tantrums, most of which earned me a quirked eyebrow from my wife.
My wife. I still couldn't believe that Rosalie and I were already married for two years and that tonight our vows would take on a whole new meaning because tonight she was going to turn me.
We had taken every precaution imaginable to make sure the girls wouldn't notice our absence too much, and this mostly meant that Esme and Sulpicia would look after them for the time I was going through the change, since the two women took their grandmotherly duties very seriously, doting on the two girls every chance they got, and in return the girls always were on their best behavior around them.
Emmett was also a constant positive influence for them because he didn't mind being their climbing tree and usual playmate, being up for anything their overactive minds came up with.
Right now though it was just after dinner and we were trying to soak up the time we had with them while we could. So that's why we were all cuddled up to each other watching their favorite Disney movie, which at the moment was Frozen, which didn't bother me as much now that Emmett and Victoria weren't here, since Emmett always sung along with every song, much to the amusement of our daughters but to our consternation because his singing was really bad.
"Five years sure has flown by hasn't it love?" I asked softly.
Rosalie nodded and kissed me softly. "It sure has, and I'm still as excited about the future today as I was back then and it sure has been eventful with these two brightening our days."
I smiled at her as both Julia and Olivia smiled up and cuddled closer to us. "Is everything okay Mommy?" Julia asked softly.
I smiled and pressed a kiss to the top of her head. "Mommy's fine sweetie. Momma and I were just thinking back a bit. It's been an emotional five years, but we wouldn't change a thing."
They both smiled and kissed our cheeks before returning their attention to the movie, something we couldn't help but smile at.
"Momma, can we stay up until Grammy returns?" Olivia asked softly.
Rosalie smiled at her. "I think they'll be back soon, so yes, but once they're back and you've had your cuddles, it's off to bed. It's getting late and you two have school tomorrow."
They both nodded and smiled at us. "Yes Momma." They said simultaneously.
By the time the movie was over both Olivia and Julia were fast asleep in our laps as Esme and Sulpicia came walking in after their hunt. "Good evening girls. Why aren't they in bed yet?" Sulpicia asked softly as not to wake them.
"They wanted their Grammy cuddles and wanted to stay up until you two returned, and we just couldn't say no to those eyes." I said with a soft smile.
The two women smiled at us. "We'll take them for the night and get them ready tomorrow. It's a big night for you tonight." Esme said softly.
I nodded and smiled at them as they gathered Julia and Olivia in their arms, the two girls waking up shortly before cuddling into their grandmothers. "I don't think you two have a choice now." I said with a soft smile.
"It's not like we mind sweetheart. Now you girls also better get some rest too. Tonight is shaping up to be long enough as it is." Sulpicia said kindly.
We nodded and smiled at them. "We were planning to as soon as you two got back. I'm nervous enough as it is."
The two women smiled and gave me as good a hug as they could. "We'll see you in a couple of days sweetie." Esme said softly, clearly having some issue with tonight.
I just smiled and pressed a kiss to her cheek before repeating the move on Sulpicia. "I'll be okay Mom, better than okay in a few days. I won't have to worry that you're going to crush me when you hug me."
Esme smiled at that. "It will take a bit of getting used to not feeling your warmth anymore, but having my daughter here forever is more than worth that small sacrifice."
I smiled at her. "And to be able to call myself your daughter is still one of the greatest honors of my life, next to becoming a mother and calling myself Rosalie's wife of course."
Esme smiled and pressed a kiss to my cheek. "We'll talk when you've woken up again, otherwise we'll be talking all night long, And Rose, please be careful with our daughter."
"Yes Mom, I would never dare to hurt my mate and I will stay with her for the entire time, and make sure to take her hunting when she wakes up." Rosalie said as she wrapped an arm around me,
They smiled at us as Rosalie scooped me up into her arms and carried me off to the bedroom. "I know you're nervous love, but there is no reason to be. While it will most definitely hurt, I will be there the entire time. I made you a promise and I will keep it. I also think that Didyme's point of you being turned by your mate will make the transition easier will hold true too, and I have to add that it is a rarity in our world to be changed by your mate in these circumstances."
I smiled at her as she gently laid me down on the bed. "I know, you've told me several times over the years, but the nerves are still real. I can't help it, but I trust you above all others and I know you're not going to hurt me. It is more nerves of the unknown than anything else."
Rosalie smiled and kissed me. "It is going to hurt, there's nothing I can do that is going to change that. All I can do is make you feel as relaxed as I possibly can and make sure everything is as painless as I can make it."
I smiled at her. "I know and I can only love you more for it. I'm ready love." I said softly.
She smiled at me. "Then I hope you won't mind getting naked first, I don't know how much will spill and I would rather not get Alice on my neck because I ruined your favorite top."
"Of course I don't mind, when have I ever had problems with getting naked for you." I said as I pulled off my top and shorts.
Rosalie smiled and kissed me. "I wish I could say sweet dreams one last time, but all I can say is good night, and I will be here when you wake up." She said softly before biting my neck, making us both moan, her in pleasure and me in pain.
Rosalie's POV
Bella's blood was sweeter than anything I had ever tasted in eighty five years of being a vampire, and on the one hand I was a bit sad that I only got to taste it once, but to be able to have her by my side forever was more than worth it.
I knew from Alice's visions that Bella would have amazing control and that her newborn urges would be quelled by the proximity of our daughters, something I was thankful for already.
When I pulled back and sealed the wound, she already looked paler than she had been, and I knew that it couldn't be long before the screams of pain would begin, and I prayed that the extra soundproofing we had installed would be enough to muffle those screams from at least the girls.
I then pulled a blanket over her body, so she would at least keep some of her modesty when Esme or Sulpicia came to check up on her progress.
Bella moaned softly and looked up at me with glazed eyes. "Rose… please…" She managed to get out in a shaky voice.
"Soon love. It'll start soon enough." I said softly.
She shook her head and grasped at my hand. "Hold my hand, please. Let me feel you." She said softly.
I took her hand without hesitation and pressed my lips to her knuckles. "Of course love. I'll be here the entire time."
She gave me a faint smile before closing her eyes and visibly relaxing and I couldn't help but continue to rub my thumb over her knuckles as I saw the change begin, the only sound being Bella's heartbeat.
As I watched her transition I was amazed by her strength, because it had been hours and she had yet to utter a sound, nor could I see any discomfort on her face.
It frankly worried me a little, but I also knew there was nothing I could do to make her feel better now, all I could do was wait for her to open her eyes in her new life.
I heard a soft knock on the door and I snapped my eyes towards it as it slowly opened, growling instinctively. "I promise I come in peace Rosalie. I wondered how she was because I'm getting some very weird emotions from her." Jasper said softly as he slowly came in.
I took a deep breath and smiled at him. "I don't understand what's going on with her Jazz. She's so calm and it's been a couple of hours. She should be screaming in pain right now."
He smiled and took a seat as far away from us as possible. "Her emotions are showing as much too. It's the oddest thing I've ever seen. She seems calm but I can tell the change has taken hold. Perhaps it has something to do with the way you turned her."
"That's my guess too, but we can't be sure until she wakes up. All I know is that I can't leave her now." I said softly.
He smiled and nodded. "I understand Rose, I'll leave you to your vigil."
I nodded at him as he took his leave, and the moment my door had closed, my eyes snapped back to Bella as I continued to watch her and run my thumbs over her knuckles.
Time seemed to lose all meaning while I watched Bella turn, and I barely noticed Esme and Sulpicia coming in to check up on their baby girl, although they quickly left when I started growling.
I was fully into my instincts and was likely not to come out of it until I saw Bella open her eyes again, which I honestly hoped wouldn't take the full three days, although I knew that was an impossibility.
"I don't know if you can hear me love, but I am so very proud of you. You are dealing with the changes so well you have even managed to surprise our mothers. That alone makes my heart soar with love and happiness. I love you so much my Bella and I will keep loving you until the sun falls from the sky. It's almost scary how much I need you." I said softly.
She groaned softly and squeezed my hand three times, making me smile. While it was weak, I could feel that her skin definitely felt colder and more like my own. It wouldn't be long before she woke up again.
A soft knock on the door broke me out of my musings. "Who is it?"
"It's me Rosalie. May I enter?" Jane asked softly.
"Come on in Jane." I said in a similar tone.
She slowly opened the door and smiled as she saw Bella. "She looks so peaceful. How much longer do you think it'll take?" She asked as she took a seat.
"I don't even know how long it has been at this point, so I really don't know. It can't be too long though. Her body has taken to everything really well, and she hasn't made a sound from the moment I bit her." I said with a soft smile.
Jane smiled at that. "If you want to know, it's been nearly three days, so it can't be long. I also don't think she could become more beautiful but clearly I was wrong."
I growled softly, even though I know Jane didn't mean anything by it. "Sorry, I couldn't help it. I've never been a slave to my instincts more than I am now."
"That's quite alright Rosalie. I wasn't thinking, it was merely an observation, you know I am a bit blunt with my words sometimes." She said kindly.
I laughed lightly at that. "Since I am usually the one who is called blunt, it's more than okay Jane. How are the girls?"
"They're a bit worried about Bella because mother told them she's sick and that you're taking care of her until she's better. You can expect them to be very clingy when you two get back from Bella's first hunt, but we've been able to keep them occupied so far." Jane said with a soft smile.
I nodded and noticed Bella's heartrate pick up dramatically. "I'll leave you two alone, there's no telling what she might do if she finds me here when she wakes up." Jane said with a soft smile before taking her leave.
When her heart give its final stuttering thump and her body went completely still, I couldn't help but smile at the first reaction she gave as she inhaled deeply before opening her eyes.
Bella's POV
The first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes was how much clearer everything was. I could see every mote of dust in the air and the whorls of the ceiling with perfect clarity.
The second thing was the scent that surrounded me. I smelt spring rain and vanilla, and it was the most tantalizing scent I had ever smelt and as my eyes snapped to the source, I saw my Goddess again, a bright smile automatically revealing itself on my face. "Rosie." I said softly, surprising myself with the sound of my voice.
"Welcome back love. How are you feeling?" She asked with a loving smile.
I smiled and pulled her into a kiss. "Amazing comes to mind, but that might have something to do with seeing you as the first thing upon waking up."
She smiled at me. "Glad to be of service, my love. I also have to say that your transition was probably the easiest in history. I haven't heard you scream once."
"There is only one thing I will ever deny you, and that is to hear me scream in pain. I wanted to, God how I wanted to because the pain was so overwhelming, easily ten times worse then giving birth to Olivia and Julia. Everything you said and prepared me for wasn't even close to what it actually felt like." I said softly.
Rosalie smiled and kissed me softly. "I'm sorry love, we tried to prepare you as best we could. How is the burn? Are you feeling it?"
I nodded at her. "A bit, but its manageable for now. Is that bad?"
"Not at all love, but we should get some blood in you none the less, we wouldn't want to take any chances with the girls." Rosalie said with a soft smile.
"I almost forgot about the girls. How are they? Are they okay? I feel like such a bad mother not thinking of them before." I said softly.
Rosalie smiled at me. "Calm down love. They're more than okay. They've been quite pampered by the rest of the family. Your brain is hopped up on newborn hormones. It'll take a while for you to get used to them. Let's go for a hunt first. It'll help. After that we can go and see the girls." She said with a soft smile.
I nodded and smiled at her. "Let's go then. Do you have a hunting ground in mind or do you want to go for the first humans we will find?"
"Let's go for the first humans we will find, because I doubt you'll keep it together in a big city. We'll work up to that in the coming weeks." Rosalie said with a smile.
I nodded and kissed her before flashing out of bed and getting dressed in some simple clothes, remembering Alice's threat if I got any blood on my new clothes. "I'm ready, I think, I really don't know what to expect."
Rosalie actually giggled at that. "No one does the first time. We have to go out of the window though, we can't risk the girls seeing you already."
"I know, it also won't make sense for us walking in through the door when I've been confined to my room for however long I've been out." I said softly.
"You've been out for three days love, the normal amount of time for a transition, now let's go before our daughters decide to see how their Mommy is doing." Rosalie said with a smile.
I nodded and followed her out of the window and into the forest, and immediately the smells attacked my nose, although I had trouble focusing on anything but Rosalie's magnificent ass at the moment.
She seemed to notice and smiled at me. "Enjoying the view, my love?" She asked with her knowing smile.
"Of course I am, when haven't I appreciated the view of your gorgeous ass? I can only appreciate it more now that my eyesight has dramatically improved." I said with a grin.
She smiled and suddenly turned as she caught me in her arms. "When you see all of me truly for the first time, I fear you might feel different. There are a few scars that you haven't been able to see yet."
"I'm sure nothing on this world could make me love you less Rosalie. We both have scars inside and out, and I love you for who you are, a few scars won't make a difference to me." I said honestly.
Rosalie smiled and kissed me softly. "I know that, and it is not your love for me that makes me doubt. Newborn instincts are volatile and I fear an overreaction that won't be your fault when you see them."
"Perhaps we shouldn't be near the house when I see them then. It'll be safer for our daughters, and we've talked about finding a quiet spot as soon as I was turned." I said with a soft smile.
Rosalie smiled and kissed me. "Blood first, exhibitionism after. I'd feel a lot better you had some blood in you and mother didn't have a reason to scold me for not teaching you the rules."
"Fine, but where are we going to find people in the middle of the forest?" I asked with what I was sure was a pout, judging by the smile on Rosalie's face before turning me around and pressing me against her front. "Close your eyes, and tell me what you smell, besides me." She said softly.
I did as I was asked and inhaled deeply, the sweet smell of honeysuckle entering my nose after a few minutes. The rest was way to earthy for my tastes. "I smell something sweet, not unlike honeysuckle, it's not far from here."
She smiled and pressed a kiss to the side of my neck. "Those are the smells you're looking for, love. Go get it."
I didn't need to be told twice as I took off at full speed towards the scent, Rosalie apparently content to let me have my fun.
Rosalie's POV
I couldn't help but smile as Bella took off for her first hunt, and while I definitely needed to feed myself, I needed to be very careful, because a newborn Bella would have little qualms in defending her prey from another vampire, even if that vampire was her mate, so I decided to approach upwind and well within her line of sight so she had plenty of time to choose how to react to my approach.
To my surprise she smiled and motioned me to come closer. "I saved one for you baby. I know you must be hungry too."
I smiled at her. "I was being cautious love, a newborn is nothing if not unpredictable, but I would love to dine with you. I am a bit hungry."
She smiled at that as I sidled up next to her, only now seeing her foot resting on the neck of a young blonde. "Such good taste already. How did you know I prefer to feed from women?"
"Call it a gut feeling love, now eat up, don't let your food get cold." She said with a teasing wink."
I smirked at her as I grabbed the girl's neck and sunk my teeth into her neck, and while a bit spicy because of alcohol, it was sweet in my throat, but maybe the hottest sight was to see Bella feeding from the redhead she was working on, so I couldn't be to blame for the wetness that gathered in my panties.
As soon as the girls were drained, Bella's eyes snapped to mine. "You smell divine Rosie. You're getting me so hot already."
"The same could be said for you my love, but we can't do it here. We need to burn the bodies and then find ourselves a nice clearing where we can have our way with each other." I said softly.
She nodded and gathered up the bodies so I could burn them, although it was hard to focus on that with Bella's nipples almost poking a hole in her top, because of course she didn't wear a bra.
We didn't stay around to watch the bodies burn, instead running away in search of that clearing, because as much as she was burning for me, so too was I burning for her, and I needed to feel her again.
Within minutes we found a clearing where we could take our time with each other, since it was so out of the way that no one would ever come here. "Shall we for once skip the foreplay and teasing and give in to our urges?" I asked softly.
She nodded and jumped into my arms, taking us both down to the forest floor as she ripped off my shirt and attached her lips to my nipples.
I wouldn't be left out this time and did the same to her as I also slipped my hand into the yoga pants she was wearing, slipping two fingers into her soaking heat immediately.
Bella released a sound between a moan and a growl as she returned that favor with just as much fervor, but thankfully leaving my jeans mostly intact.
It was a frenzied first time with Bella as a newborn, but something we both clearly needed, because in no time at all we had rid the clearing of all foliage, and I'm sure Bella's scream in orgasm had relocated at least a few animals in the vicinity. "To be honest, this is exactly what I imagined my first time to be." She said as we laid in the remains of the clearing.
I smiled and kissed her. "First times with a newborn are usually frenzied, as far as I've heard. It was as heavenly as it has always been. I love you Bella."
"I love you too Rosalie, and I have to say that my head feels a lot clearer now." Bella said with a soft smile.
"I'm glad for that. Shall we make our way back to the house and say hi to our little girls?" I asked softly.
She nodded and took my hand as we took off, the short trip taking longer than it should because we had some trouble keeping our hands to ourselves.
When we jumped back up to our balcony and got dressed, I threw a blanket over her shoulders. "This will make you being sick a bit more believable love."
She smiled and wrapped it around herself as we walked downstairs, and as we walked into the living room we were met with two streaks of blonde hair that latched themselves onto Bella. "Mommy! You're better again. We missed you." Julia said excitedly.
"I've missed you too, my sweets. Did you have fun while Mommy was sick?" She asked as she sat down with both of them in her lap.
They both nodded excitedly as they launched into their explanation of everything, and I mean everything they had been up to in the last three days, and even with our advanced hearing it was difficult to make sense of the quick babbling, but the smile on Bella's face was enough for me to know she didn't mind. She was happy to have them here with her in her new life.
