AN: LegionHK47, best droid btw, I definitely felt that Diary lost the original point and transformed too much into an actual story. That is part of the reason I've avoided a ton of dialog when I do use it, as well as not bogging the Journal down or padding the count. Zoop definitely has my anti-social self beat with interpersonal relations however.

Day 51

I finally had the chance to visit Thunder Bluff! Taliaa and I caught some wyverns and swiftly went on our way though a few of the sights surprised me. For example, I have yet to hear back from Greentitan, but I have definitely noticed his work. An entire forest was sprouting across the bridge from Bloodhoof Village and while none of the saplings had reached my height the growth was shocking. Dozens of trees were appearing and I noted with amusement that the goblin camp had be so thoroughly wiped out that only scorch marks remained visible from the air.

Journal, I have to admit to my fanboy moment. When we landed upon the giant totem I dragged Taliaa to the High Rise (ha!) to pay homage to Cairne Bloodhoof. I'm not going to write down just how just how it went because I sounded very silly, but I think it was appreciated. Or at least amusing judging by the deep laughter from the High Chieftain and his guards. I tend to put my foot in my mouth a lot so that reaction is kind of expected.

Anyway once we began exploring I had an absolute blast! I didn't even have to fear falling from the rope bridges, mostly because if they could support the tauren they damn well could hold me. Though the several hundred foot drop wouldn't be fun and Taliaa intentionally shaking the bridge was just mean. Pretty sure the Peacebloom being burned in those giant pipes constantly is what keeps the tauren from conflict inside the city though I do wonder how they work. Thankfully the airflow meant I could pass them by without being too messed up to walk even if Taliaa made a comment about Silvermoon parties. Those sound fun.

Elder Rise was an interesting experience, avoiding Magatha Grimtotem of course, and I managed to have a few short conversations with some of the druids. We didn't stay there long but apparently news (and likely the view) of Greentitan's project had spread around. The reaction to his choice of location was mixed but most seemed to agree that testing it before trying in a harsh environment like the Barrens was a good idea.

We took the second bridge off the Elder Rise to the Middle Rise, and yes I'll keep the capitals because I do for Orgrimmar, and bought some fruit to snack on while we explored. Side note, the apples were fresh and delicious. There were a lot of profession shops here along with some housing but nothing of true interest to either Taliaa or myself so we eventually wandered up to the Spirit Rise.

I stopped at the Spiritual Healing shop to buy some bandages and other first aid items while on the Spirit Rise before we went to the Hall of Spirits. The peaceful atmosphere had Taliaa convince me to do some meditation and I rather enjoyed it. Quietly enjoying the beauty of nature mixing with the distant hustle of the city was far better than standing guard over the dusty plains of the Barrens.

A trip to the Pools of Vision revealed that the one known as Lo'Gosh had cleansed a powerful earth elemental from the pools a few months ago. Yep, Varian Wrynn indeed made his way through here. Good to know things weren't going wacky regarding major events. Anyway I can't channel any energy and Taliaa had no interest in attempting it so we bid the Forsaken there a good day and went to the Lower Rise.

Compared to the peace of most of the city the Lower Rise truly showed Thunder Bluff as a racial capital. Various Horde races moved through the area while the sounds of blacksmithing and auctioneers jabbering filled the air. It was almost dangerous to stand still and if the tauren weren't so careful around us weaker people I'm sure more than a few feet would be broken. That didn't stop Taliaa and I from enjoying the sights however and we split up for a short while to explore more of the shopping.

I made a stop at Thunder Bluff Civic Information, yes that is the name, and talked to the guild master named Krumn. I came to learn that adventurers weren't the only ones to create guilds but the vast majority of other folk had no interest in such things. I obviously purchased a guild charter from the man. I may not get much time to actual gather my guildmates together for things while I'm serving in the military but the sense of inclusion would be great. Taliaa even became the first signature when we reconnected. Woot!

Hunter Rise has a lot of Thunderhorn and Ragetotem tribe members practicing warrior and hunter skills. I happily joined in on the spars and finally got to witness someone simply overpowering Taliaa. Sark Ragetotem laughed his furry behind off and gave her a lesson about proper leverage against larger opponents. That is great but I'm kind of scared by Taliaa being a better fighter, I need to up my training again.

Since we were done exploring and it was getting late in the afternoon we decided to depart. Flying over the budding forest once again I couldn't help but giving a happy smile. Truly healing the world was the goal for many tauren, and more than a few remorseful orcs, and the possibilities being opened were amazing. One day I hope that the Barrens are a lush green plain for the tauren to enjoy.
