Family of Two.

Chapter 318: The Parrot menace.

(July 25. Great Lakes City.)

Sunday, and the Louds, along with Michelle and her daughter, Delilah have arrived, and even Sam is with them. Her brother Simon on the other hand wanted to stay home and have a talk with his friends from the gamers club, so they're the ones who are coming here.

Lincoln looks to the building. "Well, I'm gonna go and…"

"Lincoln!" They look up and spot Ronnie Anne, along with Sid on the roof. "Hold onto this, and hang on tight!" Ronnie Anne and Sid lower a rope.

Lincoln sees this and then looks towards Luna. "Go ahead. We trust them, but trusting the rest of the familia is not an easy stick to pull."

Lincoln holds onto the rope, but he goes back and he hugs Luna and Sam and they place a kiss on his forehead, and then they let him be, and Lincoln is pulled up so fast and he lands on the mattress on the roof. He then looks to Luna and the others and he gives them a thumbs up.

They all clap, and then Luna yells. "Wait, how did you guys pull him up there?"

Sid then responds. "Lalo is up here, and he's the one who did it. We're gonna be fine up here, you guys go and do what you guys do."

Luna smiles, and then she looks towards Sam and the others. "Alright, so Sam and I are gonna go and see the whole ordeal from what happened the other day, and talk to Abuela Rosa about her crisis when it comes to folks commenting about her food being better than any other cooking."

"So, where are you guys off to?" asked Sam.

Michelle then speaks. "Headed to the Mercado and get what's on the list Harriet gave me. They do have products there that could help with cooking and other stuff."

They then loon towards Delilah. "I will be looking into the karate dojo here. My sensei wants me to check this place out and see if we can help improve it. So, I'm gonna do my part and be the representative for the dojo in our town to the Great Lakes City only dojo."

"Alright, so let's all meet back here later when we're all done" said Luna. They all split up and go and do what they wanted to do, but they are unaware of the parrot who is flying back to the apartment and is not looking too easy with himself.

"Rawrk, all I wanted was some peace, and pampering from my own family, and was that so wrong. They make me do their bidding? How ridiculous. At least today's pigeon party was able to make me feel…. Hmm, the louds are here?"

Sergio spots Lincoln, Ronnie Anne and Sid talking to each other on the roof top and so he flies close to see what this is all about, and he spots Lalo going back into the apartment.

"So, when are you and Jordan gonna be going on a date and where the heck is she?" asked Ronnie Anne. "We were hoping we'd have a double date. Me with Sid, and you with Jordan."

Sid nods, then she has an idea. "Or, maybe a triple date. You're mom and Sam can tag along too."

Lincoln thinks about this as he eats a tamale with the two girls. "Hmm, well I will need to speak with her, along with my mom and Sam about this, and right now, Jordan is busy with something back home. Something about getting ready for the beach day we're gonna have next month."

"Oh awesome!" said Ronnie Anne. "So, any chances we can tag along?"

Lincoln smirks. "Well, that does sound like a good idea. We're gonna have to be cautious and make sure nothing bad goes wrong. You guys know how some of your familia members can be troublesome."

"Yeah, I know." Ronnie Anne sighs with some shame about those memories. "Also, the other issue is my Abuelo, I mean chances he wouldn't wanna go on vacation unless he feels like closing the Mercado. That rarely happens. Another one is Bobby, and chances he might go into life guard mode."

Lincoln recalls. "Right, the one you told me about the ordeal with Carl and trying to swim, right?"

Ronnie Anne nods. "Yeah, and Bobby had to teach him. Though, he did acted all strict being the lifeguard when we were there. There was already a lifeguard and he acts all strict on us. This isn't Royal Woods anymore, and yet he feels like it is."

Sid then hands her another tamales and a soda. "Yeah, but he has changed, sorta. I mean, sure he's dating Carol Pingrey, and he sometimes calls her. But, at least it's not an all the time texting like he did with Lori right?"

Lincoln chuckles. "Yeah, also Lori is doing well being in juvie and she's doing whatever it takes to make a change. She has this plan, where she won't leave the place until she finishes her task, and that task is to see as many inmates there walk away changed and ready for a second chance in life."

This makes Ronnie Anne and Sid smile. "Yup, Lori is changing. Leni and Luan doing alright?"

"They are" replied Lincoln. "Luan has passed her summer classes, which means her freshmen times of High School are done and now she can be a sophomore or upperclassman. Whatever that role is called, and then there's Leni, the not so dumb one anymore is gonna be in her senior years."

"They've all changed, and become better folks around town. A lot of the people who knew the old versions of them are happy to see them change and are gonna trust them with whatever new kind of thing they have. Leni is gonna be doing part-time jobs to make some cash and Luan is partaking in many clubs to use her skills, skills that she didn't know could be useful."

"Which ones?" asked Ronnie Anne. "Last I checked, pranking was her thing."

He then tells them the many other things they never knew about Luan, and this makes Sergio bored. "Rawrk, this is boring and not worth the gossip. This parrot is out." But then he hears something.

Sid asks. "So, you're mom's birthday is two months away right?"

Lincoln nods. "September, and I plan to make sure this birthday party gift is a surprise and I don't want any bad things to happen when I do show her the surprise. I mean, the last surprise gift was a bust because I had to tell her what I had planned, and that kinda hurt for me to admit to her the truth."

"But she was okay with it, and she waited. But I really want it to be a surprise, and I got tons of cash to make this gift a possibility, and a gift for Sam too. Sam has been an awesome mother figure as my mom, Luna and I wanna make them both feel super special."

"Wow. Awesome dude" said Sid. "What's the gift? Oh wait, no don't tell us. We don't wanna know, we don't wanna have to accidently blurt it out."

Lincoln chuckles. "Yeah, I don't think I plan to tell anyone. This is a surprise, and I don't want things to be ruined. Heck, I don't even know what I would do if something happened when my mom does find out. The whole thing has to be perfect, and all for my mom and Sam."

Sergio thinks about this. 'Hmm, they are rich and that kid might be an easy pick for me to get whatever I want. This might work.' Then he hears something else from them.

"So, the guys who plan to train you. What about them?" asked Ronnie Anne. "Can we come and see them?"

"Yeah, my mom and I, and even Sam talked about this last night" replied Lincoln. "We'll only let you girls come along, but no one else. No one else has to come and see who'll be training us for self-defense training. The folks are gonna be high ranked front line heroes from FutureTech."

"Some of our friends are also allowed to see them, but no one else. This is for the best, we don't want anyone else. Because they're powerful, resourceful and pretty much dangerous, but we're uncertain about who'll be coming to help us, and I am pretty excited."

Ronnie Anne and Sid nod. "Alright then. We'll come along and see them, and we're gonna make sure the others don't know, but can Adelaide come?" asked Sid.

"Sure, she can be trusted" said Lincoln. He then eats another tamales. "We're gonna have a blast with whoever are gonna come, I can't wait for them to arrive. But we have to wait for the call, and then the whole thing will be underway."

They continue to talk and eat some delicious tamales, but Sergio snickers. 'Oh, big score. Now I know what to do, so I can get what I want. Trip to Fiji, here I come! This kid will be easy, now all I need is his number and then it's gonna be all about me.'

'Since the others won't help me get the cool stuff I want, then this kid will be my ticket! I can even get a new stereo, and some new bling.' Sergio then flies off and he flies to rally his pals, the pigeons on what he has planned.

To be continued…
