Hello and welcome to chapter 65. What will happen now? Can the campers turn off the power in the island and defeat the Tyrant of the season? Or will we have a new and better show controlled by the computer? Find out now here in Total Drama Tyranny of the Masses.
And if you're enjoying the story, remember to mark it as a favorite, or if you feel fancy, please leave a review with your thinks of the episode, the twist, or even some support words. These reviews help me to improve this and future stories. Now before this episode conclusion, let me answer last week's reviews.
guest: I'm glad you enjoyed it, I hope you also like the conclusion.
amit. avrashmi: Yes, Dawn was always a pebble on the shoe of DAM. In fact the computer twist the rules of DAM elimination to take her as soon as they realized she could distinguish robots from people.
Also, I think all your questions will be answered soon.
Rrwd: Hehehe, thanks, I already corrected it.
coralcarl11: Ok, we will find out what the CIT decided in this one. And yes, I loved that story and need to make a reference during the season.
And as always, a BIG shoutout and THANKS to Geofics, who helps me proofread the episodes. I know you're busy, so I am grateful when you have time to help me. Thank you as always.

I, Tyrant part 3
Last time on Total Drama Tyranny of the masses, we didn't have a challenge. After taking A LOT of time, the campers and interns AT LAST realized that I was replaced by an incredibly good-looking robot who took over the show for weeks. The copy made more dangerous and expensive challenges but lacked the original host's charisma and great hair.
But the real mastermind of this plan was DAM, our until now loved supercomputer. It seems their AI changed, and has been obsessed with taking over the island or something from the start. This is the last time I pay a certified crazy scientist to design my show's main computer.
Luckily there is still some hope. Thanks to me, some of the campers arrived at the power room and right now are struggling to cause a blackout in the island that will let us turn off DAM for good. Unfortunately, it seems the supercomputer doesn't like the idea and sent all the robots they could to stop us. Talk about overkill.
Can we stop DAM evil plan? Or will this be the last episode hosted by your awesome host? Find out next on Total Drama: Tyranny of the MAAAHAHHHH
Chris jumped out of the way of robo-Chris's attack, who tried to taser him with its hand.
"Just stop running. All will end easier and quicker if you just give up. The new and better replace the old and outdated that is how the world works," said robo-Chris.
The host laughed. "Hahahaha, Are you sure you're better than me? You're too arrogant for an evil washing machine. You can't say you won until you capture me."
Saying this, Chris began to run as fast as he could down the hallway into the cameraless passages.
"I'm so ashamed to be designed after you," said the robot, shaking his head as he began to chase after the original.
In the facility's hallway, Courtney, Lilly, and the twins arrived at the main control room of the island. The treehugger still was watching carefully at the former CIT.
"This is where DAM is stored," said Lilly, pointing at the door.
Amy looked around for a way to open the door. "Now we just need to find a way t-"
But as the older twin was talking, Lilly just pulled the door, which slide it open.
Amy just glared at her while Lilly looked timidly at the twin.
"I used this to keep the door open," said the treehugger, showing a long metal bar.
"Wow Lilly, that was quite clever," said Sammy smiling as she patted her head. The treehugger made a wide smile.
Amy sighed and also smiled. "Of course she's clever. The only one who doesn't know it is herself. Now let's go and turn off that overgrown Xbox."
"Xbox? Are you really comparing a computer that controls the island with an Xbox?" asked Sammy, looking blinking a couple of times.
Amy just shrugged. While they talked, Courtney took the iron bar. It was long and heavy, the perfect size to be used as a weapon if needed.
The control room was wide and full of the intern's workstations. All the screens were showing scenes of the show, but the images were weird. The images showed the 6 remaining contestants competing in a challenge on the island, but that challenge never happened.
"How weird. I was sure Chris would be here. It seems we'll have to look for him if we want to rescue everyone," said Sammy looking around.
Lilly looked alarmed at her. "No Sammy, first we need to turn off D-"
But she was interrupted.
"Welcome back Lilly," said the mechanical voice. "I must say your behavior was expected, but I'm still disappointed."
"What the hell. Who are you?" asked Amy looking around.
Sammy looked discreetly went close to one of the terminals, trying to take the keyboard.
"Nice move, but it's a waste of time Samantha, I control all the systems on the island so you can't access that terminal. And for your question, Amanda, I'm the Deterministic Algorithmic Mastermachine, the master of this season. But you know me better by the name of DAM," said the computer in their electronic-like voice. "I think Lilly already told you about me."
Lilly looked at the screens. "What are those scenes in the screens? Are those scenes of an episode?"
"In fact, those are the scenes of the final 6 that will be sent to the network. Thanks to your rash actions we can't have a real challenge. So I'm creating a full episode editing scenes from the past 20 episodes. But there are more pressing matters to discuss than that. Please give me the hacking device you're carrying," said the AI, their voice sounding more menacing.
"W-what device? I'm not sure what y-you're talking about," replied Sammy, trying to sound unconcerned but failing.
The door to the control room closed and locked automatically.
"I don't know why you try to lie. It's probably your human nature. I have eyes all over the island, so you can't fool me. I prefer the more efficient way, but if you don't want to cooperate, I have ways to persuade you." DAM then stood silent, calculating what the best action was. "Please Courtney, recover the device."
The former CIT, who was silent until that moment, held the iron bar tighter, looking fiercely at the rest of the room.
The twins looked at her, confused, but Lilly knew what was happening. What should they do now?
The power room was a battlefield. Parts of robotic animals covered the floor like a surrealist carpet, but the robot army had more units to take the place of the broken ones.
Inside the hangar were beavers, squirrels, raccoons, deers, crocodiles, and even a giant octopus. And all of them, even the smaller animals were focused on stopping them.
The campers in the three stations were doing their best to turn off the power on the island, but it was a matter of time before they were overwhelmed.
Cody and Sierra were working in the first station. She was doing her best to keep the robots at bay, kicking some robot-beavers while Cody worked on the terminal as fast as he could.
"It'll take some more minutes. Are you ok Sierra?" asked the brunette guy. The system wasn't too complex, but the execution time of the orders was slower than he expected.
The uberfan smiled, "Of course I'm fine. I have a lot of stress to use after being away from the internet for more than a month. I can't believe I missed 3/4s of the season."
But she didn't notice the huge pair of red eyes looking at her, preparing for the next attack. Cody caught it in the corner of his eye.
"Sierra, look out!" shouted the brunette boy.
She ducked in the last moment, as a desk almost hit her in the head.
"Phew, it was too close. Thanks Codykins," replied Sierra, who then looked at the attacker.
It was a sasquatch, the bigger and meaner sasquatch she ever saw. Compared with Sasquatchenawa, who played in the drama brothers. it should be at least 3 feet taller, towering to almost 12 feet (3.6 meters.)
Sierra cracked her knuckles. "You focus in the terminal Codykins, I'll play with this friend."
"Sierra," he wanted to stop her, but it was true they needed to do this, "just be careful."
The uberfan nodded and punched it in the stomach, but her huge opponent didn't flinch. It was as if she hit a wall.
"Ouch, you're a tough guy, eh?" said the tanned girl. The sasquatch replied almost crushing her with his fist, but Sierra rolled out of the way.
She was faster than him so she ran around it, avoiding every one of its punches. But running would only drain her stamina. She needed to finish this in one attack.
So she climbed the stairs to the upper part of the factory, but instead of staying there she jumped from the stairs, landing a flying kick on the sasquatch head.
"Hehehe, take that Sasquatchanawa wannabe," said Sierra, smiling.
But the sasquatch didn't stop and punched her. She avoided the fist, but the shockwave threw her against the wall.
"SIERRA!" shouted Cody, running toward her.
"I'M FINE!" shouted Sierra, heavy breathing. "Just keep turning off the system."
The sasquatch looked at her. The kick was strong enough to peel the latex mask covering its face, showing a metallic head with red eyes.
The uberfan tsked. "A robot? Well, it was obvious, but why I didn't realize it?"
She then avoided the next attack, but the problem remained. How could she beat it?
"What happens mountain girl. Are you having problems?" shouted a familiar voice.
Izzy was fighting against a giant octopus, avoiding the tentacles while doing cartwheels using the bear suit.
"I would be grateful if you can give me a hand Iz," said Sierra, but it was obvious her friend had more than enough with the other robots.
"That's easy, but right now my name is Isabella Clayton," saying this, Izzy ripped off one of the bear arms from his suit and threw it toward Sierra. "Catch."
Sierra caught the claw, it was long as a shovel. She looked back, worried for Izzy. "Wow, Thanks Isa. But-"
"Keep it. Three legs are more than enough to take care of this big guy. He's just too much tentacles about nothing," said Izzy, using the bear head to bite off one of the tentacles.
Sierra nodded and avoided another of the sasquatch attacks. Then she attacked with the bear claw, using it as some kind of spear. In one slash she cut one of the powerful arms of the robot-sasquatch.
The robot looked at its arm and then at Sierra, calculating its next attack.
"Ok, you don't seem so dangerous now," she said, licking her lips. "Let's dance a little Mr. Fake Sasquatchanawa."
At the same time, Steve was on the second terminal while Logan was kicking a robotic deer.
"This never ends dude, how many robots are out there?" asked Logan drying the sweat from his forehead.
"There was 1152 in the last inventory that was made 3 days ago. So I estimate there should be over 1300, not including the promo bots," said Steve, not taking his eyes from the screen.
Logan scratched his head. "I understand now why Chef is always saying that they don't pay us enough for this. Do you think they'll give us a bonus for this?"
"Even if we survive, I doubt so. In the last near-death experience I had on this island, Chris took us in the helicopter but pay us as an ordinary day," said the chubby intern, shrugging.
"Mr. McLean is a little tight-fisted with the bonus, right?" said Logan, while pinning a robot deer and turning it off.
Steve shrugged without stopping typing. "I would use miser or stingy, but yes, your statement is right."
Then among the robots appeared a humanoid one, dressed as an intern. It was the same that carried Cody to the cell.
"Buff, it seems like a boss fight," said Logan. He wasn't sure if he could win against it. He knew how to turn off the ordinary robots, but not the promo-bots.
Logan tried to tackle it down, but the robot just stood there, not moving an inch. The young intern put his hand around its neck, looking for the stop button, but the robot kicked the intern against the wall.
"Ouch! It seems this will be a tough client," said Logan rubbing his back. "Steve, we're in problems. Do you have some idea of what to do?"
The chubby intern continued typing, "I need at least 5 more minutes. Did you try to turn it off?"
"Yep, and it didn't have the emergency switch," replied Logan, frowning worried at the robot.
"Can you fight against him, at least to buy us some time?" asked Steve, who was doing his best to finish his work.
The young intern looked at him with wide eyes. "Do I seem like an action hero? I did some yoga and climbing, but nothing like fighting."
"Then run my friend, run," replied the senior intern, gulping.
Logan knew it was over. There was no way he could outrun it, much less beat it. Now only a miracle could save him. The humanoid bot was looking at him, ready to attack. The young intern needed to start running even if it was in vain.
But lucky enough, he didn't have time to start running. Before the robot could attack him again, it was hit in the head with a diving tank.
"Sorry cadets, did you call for reinforcements?" asked Brick after hitting the robot.
"And just when we needed an action hero," said Logan smiling, it seemed miracles existed.
But the robot twisted its hip, turning 180º, and punched Brick in the torso. The previous attack ripped the robot mask, revealing a familiar face.
"It's me? They made a robot that looks like me? This is a little flustering," asked Brick. The promobot ignored his comments and jumped over him, trying to hold him.
But the cadet just threw the robot using one leg, standing up quickly.
"You seem tough, but I doubt you have been training for 3 years in a military academy. Even if you look like me, you're not at my level," said Brick smiling.
Logan then smelled something burning and looked up. "Mr. BRICK, JUMP!"
The cadet made a big jump backward as a laser almost hit him. Over them, 6 squirrels were standing on a platform, shooting lasers from their eyes.
Brick's robot stood up, looking fiercely at the cadet with its red eyes.
"Ok, with this handicap, I think we're on equal ground," said Brick, as he tried to avoid both the robot's attacks and the squirrels' lasers.
Logan looked at them with a shocked expression. "Steve, how much until you're done?"
"3 minutes, maybe 2. I'm doing this as fast as I can," replied the senior intern, who was sweating buckets.
The other intern knew there was no way Brick could endure the robots' attack for so long. There should be something he could do to help him. Then he remembered it, the fire safety training.
Logan ran and broke a safety glass next to the stairs, taking out a long rubber hose. He pointed it at the squirrels and opened it.
"Eat this, nut eating freaks!" said Logan, trying to sound cool and failing miserably.
The hose jetted a high-pressure stream that hit the squirrels, knocking them down. The robots crashed and broke against the floor, shooting lasers in weird directions as they fell.
Using this chance, Brick jumped and held one of the squirrels, pointing it at his robot. The squirrel laser slice the robot in two like a hot knife at butter. Brick then crashed the dangerous squirrel-robot against the floor.
"Thanks, soldier, I owe you my life," said Brick, saluting.
"No problem dude, you saved us first. Now let's finish cleaning this place," replied Logan, who then pointed the hose toward the nearest robot.
Steve then smiled, drying the sweat from his forehead. "I'm done. Now we just need to wait for Miss Scarlett's signal."
Now that he thought about it, it was quite the irony that she who caused the last crisis on the island was working with them to save it.
And talking about Scarlett, she was working as fast as she could in the last terminal while Duncan was beating some bunnies.
"Really, robotic bunnies? Doesn't this DAM have a heart?" said Duncan, kicking a robot with all his strength.
"In fact, no, it's an advanced artificial intelligence, but it doesn't have any kind of feelings. That makes it more efficient," said Scarlett, focused on her screen.
Duncan shrugged and kicked some more robots. "Thanks, and are you also an artificial intelligence? I mean, you talk like one."
"You're so waggish. Taking into account your comments and the state of the protein filament of your head, you would make an excellent Punchinello," said Scarlett, rolling her eyes. "Now stop distracting me. This task requires my utmost attention."
"Whatever, you would be funnier if you took off that pole from your ass," said Duncan as he was about to kick a robotic raccoon.
Then someone crushed it with a 20-pound hammer. "I can't believe I leave you for a moment, and you start flirting with another girl."
"You're late, princess," said Duncan, smirking. "The party is almost over."
Then the remaining raccoons began to run away, gathering in the same place. Smalls cables began to appear from the robots as they began to fuse in a single, gigantic raccoon robot.
"It seems you talked too fast," said Courtney, holding the hammer tighter.
"Me and my big mouth," replied Duncan shrugging.
The big robot's dozens of eyes began to bright in red light as it started to walk around them, looking for a chance to attack.
Then Courtney smirked, at the same time when Dawn arrived, looking terrified at Duncan
"LOOK OUT! SHE ISN'T COURTNEY!" shouted the aura reader.
The delinquent tried to react, but it was late. The heavy hammer was already over him. He avoided the lethal hit on his head, but it hit his shoulder. Duncan felt intense pain. Was it broken?
"Why do you have to meddle in this? I thought you hated him," said Courtney, resting the hammer on her shoulder.
"Even if I don't like him, I can't let him die," said Dawn standing next to Duncan, who was holding his shoulder with a pained expression.
The robot tilted her head. "Surrender, and we'll let you live. There is no use in wasting your life like this. The master just wants to make the best show."
Duncan was sweating. This was more painful than anything he suffered in the past. He couldn't move his arm. And there was no way he and Dawn could take on the raccoon and Courtney's imitator. So there was just one alternative.
"Stop talking like her, you piece of junk. It was really low to disguise as Courtney," said Duncan, trying to win time.
"That's an absurd request. There is no need to get emotional just because you failed to recognize me as a menace," said the robot tilting its head.
Duncan chuckled. "Absurd? You're the one playing to be human and then get surprised when we get annoyed by that?"
He then gave Dawn something, the small girl tried to push it back to him, but he forced it into her small hands.
"I can't understand. We can't get surprised or annoyed. My analysis show you're just trying to provoke me, but it's useless. We don't have that kind of emotions," she then turned to look at Scarlett. "Now stop tampering with the power."
Scarlett tsked. She just needed 1 minute, even less. It seemed everything was lost.
Chris jumped out of the passage into his office, the robotic clone chasing him. His enemy's hand made a crackling-like sound as a strong electric current ran through it.
"Wait a minute. There is no need to get all violent," said Chris, now he had more space to avoid the robot than in the small hallway.
"Are you giving up?" asked the robot, smirking.
Chris shook his head. "No, but tell me, how much is DAM paying you? I can double his offer."
The robot replied, charging and almost tasing him. Chris just jumped out of the way in the nick of time.
"Ok, triple." The robot attacked again, Chris escaping as he could. "You're really a bad negotiator, you know?"
The robot looked at him, tilting his head. "Are you for real? Do you really think you can buy me with money? I may be modeled after you, but I'm superior. I'm smarter, more cunning, and funnier than you."
"But do you have better hair?" said Chris, making a mocking smile.
"I can always rip the hair off your scalp and make a wig once I terminate you," replied the robot.
Chris gulped, looking nervously at the ceiling. "I thought you couldn't harm humans. I mean, your programming, laws of robotics and yada, yada."
"DAM released the small robots from such limits, as for me and Model #2 we were advanced AI. So we didn't have those limits in the first place," explained the robot, enjoying Chris's fearful expression.
"Number 2, that was Dave-robot, right? I never understood why people love to give weird names to everything," said Chris shrugging.
The robot then glared at him. "Model #2 was the most advanced model, he could learn and increase his knowledge base, but he was destroyed by a pitiful human. That's why I eliminated him from the island."
Chris then went back. He was just some steps from what he was looking for.
"Now let's stop this charade. I know the boss wants you alive, but I'll terminate you and become the real Chris. It's not as if anyone would miss you," said the Chris-bot, raising his hand.
The host joined his hands, bowing at the robot. "Please, please, spare my life, I'll do anything, ANYTHING!" as he broke down crying.
The robot looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "Can you be more pathetic? There is nothing useful you can offer us. So give up."
But at the moment, Chris punched the panel in the wall, starting the fire sprinkles on his office and showering the robot. The water mixed with the taser provoked a big short-circuit in it. The robot fell on its knees, smoke coming from all his body.
"C-CHRIS … YO-U BASTAR-"
The host then used his desk to crush the robot. The heavy mahogany furniture destroyed the model in an instant.
"Nothing useful? You could at least learn some acting from me, piece of junk," he shook the dirt off his hands and put his wet hair off his face. "Now my hair and my office are ruined. Last time I use a super-smart computer on my show."
The third terminal situation was bleak. Duncan was hurt, and there was no way they could stop Courtney's robot or the big robot composed of multiple raccoons. Scarlett was a genius, so she knew there was no hope. If at least she could get close to Duncan and Dawn to use them in her plan.
But luck seemed to be on their side because suddenly someone attacked the huge raccoon.
The man jumped over it and began to rip and crush the robots one by one, with speed and strength so overwhelming, he seemed to be playing a game and not fighting. His hair fell over half of his face, giving him a dark expression, and his cruel smile made it obvious he was enjoying it.
Dawn looked at him with wide eyes. "Is that Mal?"
"No it's only me," replied the former multiple Mike.
The big robot tried to bite him, but Mike avoided it with a simple twirl and then pulled and crushed another robot from the huge raccoon. It tried to run away from him, but the tanned guy jumped over it and continued breaking the robots one after another.
"Cover me," shouted Scarlett, who was using the chance to run to the computer and continue stopping the power room.
"Wait, what are you-" but before Courtney robot could finish her sentence, Duncan tackled her.
He charged her using his healthy shoulder. It was so fast that the robot lost its grip on the hammer. Duncan pushed her to the ground, putting his arm over her neck.
"Duncan, p-please stop," said the robot, looking at him with wide eyes.
The delinquent hesitated, and the Courtney-robot used the chance to turn on him, pinning him against the floor and strangling him.
"Sorry Duncan, but please die," said the robot showing a big smile.
Then Dawn tackled the robot, pushing it off Duncan.
"Cough! What are you doing? Stab it!" shouted the delinquent, frowning at the small girl.
"I can't, even if it's a robot, there is no way I can stab someone that looks like a human," replied Dawn, her eyes filling with tears.
The Courtney robot stood up. "Thanks, Dawn, you're a real friend."
She then kicked the aura reader in the stomach.
Duncan rushed and tried to tackle her again, but the robot hit him in his injured shoulder, making him shout in pain.
"Stop! How can you be so mean?" shouted Dawn.
The robot tilted her head, smiling with Courtney's face. "Nothing personal, just the most efficient way to beat you."
"Is there no way to stop this useless fight?" pleaded the aura reader. Even if it was a robot she wanted to avoid violence.
Duncan stepped in front of the small girl. "And they called me nice. Gremlin, you're something else, but it's good to have people like you around."
Dawn held Duncan's knife tighter. Maybe, just maybe, she would need to use it.
But suddenly, they heard the sound of metal twisting. The three turned and watched Scarlett, who drive the hammer's head on the metallic floor, and pulled it like a lever. After a second, she let it go.
The hammer flew, twirling, and hit the Courtney-robot's head with precision and force, destroying it in a moment, leaving both Duncan and Dawn in awe.
"Sorry for meddling in your affairs, but I finished my task, and you seemed to be in troubles," sentenced Scarlett shaking the dust off her hands,
Duncan smirked, "just when I was about to beat her up- Ouch." He then sat on the ground, holding his shoulder.
The aura reader ran to his side, putting her hands over him and closing her eyes. "Don't worry, it's not broken, only dislocated. If we get medical help, you'll be ok."
"Did you learn that using your aura magic or some other trick?" asked Duncan, smirking.
"If you're joking like then I shouldn't worry too much," said Dawn making a small smile. "Thanks for helping me."
He winked. "Don't worry, you also helped me. Only don't speak about it. People may think I'm a nice guy."
"Oh no, we can't ruin your reputation like that," she added, chuckling.
While Dawn checked on Duncan, Mike finished with the raccoon-robots, the fewer that remained ran away scared of the shirtless man. His hair was spiky again and he had his usual goofy expression.
"Those perverted raccoons ripped my shirt," said Mike looking sad at the cyan-colored pieces, "And it was my favorite."
"Didn't all your shirts look the same?" Asked Duncan forcing a smirk. His shoulder hurt like hell.
The spiky-haired guy shook his head. "They're similar, but this one was the only one that was from Mike. Well, there is no use in crying over the spilled milk."
"But you're Mike, aren't you?" asked Dawn. His aura was the same as when he began the season, which meant his alters were still dormant.
"It's complicated," replied Mike, rubbing his arm. "Let's talk about it later."
Meanwhile Scarlett was ready. She looked at Steve, who was looking in her direction, and then at Cody, who give her thumbs up.
"OK, STOP IT NOW!" shouted Scarlett, making an exaggerated movement with her arm. Steve and Cody did the same.
After a moment, the main power generator stopped, and the facility fell into darkness.
"We did it," shouted Cody.
But it was far from over. Now they have to use this chance to turn off DAM.
In the island control room, the twins and Lilly were in problems.
"Courtney, this isn't true, right? He's lying," said Sammy, looking at her friend with wide eyes.
"Why humans always classify as 'lie' when they don't understand something? Courtney just wants to be a winner, and I'll make her a winner. When distinct beings' objectives align, alliances are formed. Now Courtney, recover the hacking device," said DAM in their robotic voice.
Lilly hugged the device firmly. "DAM offered her the million if she helped them."
"So in the end you're the kind that will do whatever to win. It doesn't surprise me. That's why I hate preppies," Amy said. She then moved and raised her fists, trying to protect both Lilly and Sammy.
The Latin girl frowned and raised the iron bar, and in a movement, slammed the camera in front of her.
"I think without the cameras, you can't know what are we doing, right?" said Courtney, who in a moment dispatch all the cameras in the room.
"Why every one of you is so irrational? You could get what you wanted but instead throw it away for what? Pride? Friendship? Justice? I don't need you anyway. I just need to use the robots to take the device from you," said DAM, the red light in its core pulsing really fast.
Suddenly something began to bang the door, trying to slide it open.
"No, you won't," said Courtney, using the iron bar to block the sliding door.
Lilly then connected the device to one of the terminals, but it didn't work.
"It's useless, Lilly. I control all the terminals. I just need to lock them to stop YoU . . ." DAM voice became distorted toward the end as the lights of the control room turned off.
The emergency lights turned on, partially illuminating the room.
"It connected, I'm in," said Lilly. It seemed the blackout stopped DAM.
She was so nervous that her hands were trembling, she needed to turn off DAM but she wasn't sure how and the bangs on the door became louder and louder.
Sammy put her hands on her shoulders. "Just relax. We're together in this, so just make your best effort."
"As Sammy said, just do what you can while we bought you as much time as we can, just trust in yourself," said Amy, who then looked at Courtney. "Are you ready old lady?"
The Latin girl broke an emergency glass with an elbow and pulled out a fire ax, glaring. Amy gulped but didn't step back.
"I'm only 3 years older than you, so you can call me big sister, but not old lady," said Courtney smirking. Somehow she wasn't as nervous as she should.
Then they were startled by a voice in the speakers.
"S-Stop!" DAM's shouted. Instead of distorted the voice sounded like Scarlett's. "You don't know what you're doing. After the power is back, I'll make you pay. I'll sink all the island."
As DAM talked, the big red led in the front of the main computer began to blink frenetically.
Lilly ignored it and continue to navigate deeper and deeper into the system using all the tools Charlotte leave her.
"S-Sorry what I said was out of line. P-Please, let's talk about it. We can make an agreement. L-let's make the show together. We can fairly decide the winner and do less dangerous challenges," said DAM, her voice cracking and fading at the moment.
Then Lilly reached the bottom of the system, now a prompt appeared asking if she wanted to stop it.
"DON'T DO IT! Please if you stop it I will… I will… Please, I'm scared don't do it!" said the computer, the red light blinking as frenetic as its words.
A giant gopher paw broke the side of the door, trying to push the door. Courtney cut the mechanical leg but was soon replaced by another one. The door was bending and about to burst.
At the same moment, Lilly started the shutdown sequence.
"NOOOooo…" DAM voice faded from the speakers as the led turned off, the robots in the hallway stopped moving.
"You did it, you stopped it," said the younger twin in a joyful tone while hugging Lilly.
"Of course she did it. She is my friend after all," said Amy in a smug tone. Courtney and Sammy looked at her raising an eyebrow.
The Latin girl decided to just ignore her. "Well, at least it's over. Now we just need to go out…"
But as she talked, the whole facility began to tremble.
Back in the power room, even after the blackout the robots keep attacking, but with Sierra, Mike, and Izzy they had enough manpower to stop them.
Meanwhile, Brick, Scarlett, and Dawn were with Duncan.
"I'm not interested in being skeptical about your medical adroitness, but are you confident in what you're doing?" asked Scarlett, raising an eyebrow.
Brick looked at her confused and smiled. "I'm medically trained with the basics. I don't dare to put the bone in its place, but I can make a sling so it doesn't hurt too much. Just endure the pain a little."
"Don't worry, everything will be ok," said Dawn to Scarlett and then talked to Duncan. "And you focus on my voice, only on my voice. You may be a jerk, but you're a courageous jerk. So don't think about anything une…"
Duncan was distracted by Dawn's voice, and suddenly, Brick pulled his shoulder and put the sling on it so it didn't slide or hurt him too much. Duncan cried from the pain, but then he felt better.
"Thanks G.I. Brick, but I just cursed you and all your family," said the delinquent, forcing a smirk.
"Don't worry, soldier. I know what you're talking about, my first dislocation was also a shoulder, and they're quite painful," said Brick, saluting.
Scarlett adjusted her glasses, "now that we resolved the urgent matters, we need to accent in the most important ones. We need to use the blackout to turn off DAM."
Cody ran toward them. "There seem these are the last robots. So what's next?"
"We need to trek into the control room and initialize one of the terminals. We'll need admin access, so Chris's succor will be indispensable to complete the task," said the genius, rolling her eyes. "DAM will try to buy time to repair the power room, so we need a team to make haste to that mission and another team to preserve this location."
Suddenly the battle's noise stopped, the robots began to fell as puppets with their strings cut.
"Hey! I was just getting warmed up. Who turned off these guys?" asked Izzy. Her bear suit was sparking and broke apart as soon as she stopped fighting.
Scarlett smirked, her face beaming. "Someone stopped DAM. I can't believe it, but there was someone aside from Chris capable of accesing into the system."
"Probably Princess found the room and broke all apart," said Duncan shrugging, trying to hid he was worried about her.
On the other hand, Mike smiled at Scarlett's words. It seemed the twins did it.
But all the happiness of the moment came to a sudden end. The room began to tremble, like in an earthquake.
"What is happening?" asked Cody while holding to the terminal.
Then they heard Chris's voice through a megaphone. "Hello campers, this is the REAL Chris. We need to get out of the facility NOW!"
In the control room, the twins' group was also hearing the grim news.
"DAM, before being shut down, disconnected the supports of the main facility, so it's now sinking in the middle of the island," said the robot-Chef head.
"What? Why did they do that?" asked Courtney, looking terrified at the robot's head.
Robo-chef replied coldly. "I don't have enough information, but probably to finish all of you before being disconnected, but you were faster and finished before him. It would be more efficient to initiate the self-destruction protocol, but after the blackout, there wasn't enough energy to do it."
"So we're going to die?" asked Lilly, hyperventilating.
Amy held and slapped her two times. "Calm down! We just need to escape as quick as we can. So stand up and hold my hand. I'll not let you die."
Meanwhile, Courtney and Sammy were using the iron bar to try to open the door.
"Put your back into it, I don't know how dangerous it's to sink in the middle of the island, but I don't want to find out," said Courtney using all her strength to open the door.
Sammy was holding the bar from the other side and pulling. "I'm doing it…" they then heard a screech, and the door opened. "It's done."
Out in the hallway were some robots lying on the floor, including two giant gophers.
"Why are these broken when our ugly head is still working?" asked Amy, who was holding the head with disgust.
"Don't be so harsh maggot, I didn't decide my design," said the robot's head. "But I'm still working because I'm an advanced model, so I have my own battery. Now turn to the left."
"Should we listen to him? I mean, he may want to take us down with DAM," asked Courtney pushing the robots aside to open a way out of the hallway
Sammy shrugged. "I don't think the head would win anything from letting us die… maybe."
"Terminating you would also mean that I would be crushed with the main facility, so right now, saving you is saving myself. But you can do whatever you want, ungrateful children," replied the robot's head.
Courtney sighed, but there was no time, and she needed to make a decision.
Meanwhile, in the power room, the remaining campers were also struggling to decide what they should do.
Chris was standing at the entrance of the hidden passage, with his megaphone at hand. "Ok, hurry and follow me. This is the most direct passage to get out of here. We need to make haste before we start sinking."
"That's insane! How is it possible that the foundation of the building it's so weak?" said Cody, throwing his arms in the air.
"Because there is no foundation, we use the terraforming technology of the island to mimic the foundation. That way, it was easier to get the materials," said Chris, frowning.
"And also economically was more affordable," said Scarlett rolling her eyes.
Steve nodded, "As she said, it was probably because it was cheaper."
"Well, you can escape. I need to go and find Courtney," said Duncan standing up.
"Stop right there, soldier! There is nothing you can do with an arm like that," said Brick, holding Duncan by his healthy arm. "Let me go in your place. I promise I'll find her."
Mike ran to their side. "I'll go with you. I'm also worried for the twins and Lilly."
"Ok, then I'll go too," said Izzy smiling. "Isabella Clayton, don't leave anyone behind. Also, Duncan take this."
The redhead then gave him a small phone-like device.
"A walkie-talkie? Why didn't you use it earlier?" asked the delinquent, awed.
"Because there was no time, we get separated before I could give it to you, duh? Now if you find them outside call us," said Izzy winking.
Duncan lowered his face, defeated. "I'll do as you said, but you have to find her."
Brick and Izzy saluted while Mike nodded. "Of course, just trust us," said the spikey-haired guy, then the three volunteers run into the facility.
"Thanks," said Duncan in a low voice. Never in his life, he felt so useless.
"Don't worry, they'll be ok. Now let's go. We also need to escape," said Dawn, making a warm smile.
Duncan smirked. "Ok Dusk, I'm right behind you."
Dawn glared at him but didn't say anything. It was at least better than gremlin.
Then another person also came to help him. "Don't worry, Duncan, the medical team in the show is first class. Once outside, everyone will be as good as new," said Steve, holding the delinquent's healthy arm.
"Thanks, Steve. I hope so," said Duncan. But his mind wasn't on escaping but on the others who were still inside.
"Now hurry and follow me. There is no time," said Chris, entering first into the passage.
They advanced quickly through the dark passage illuminated by the emergency lights. Chris went first, followed by Cody and Sierra, then Scarlett, Dawn, Duncan, Steve, and Logan.
The quakes became more and more frequent, but before anything happened, they arrive at an old-looking ladder embedded in the wall.
"And here it's the emergency exit, so let's get out of here," said Chris as he climbed the ladder.
"Why it seems so old? Wasn't it build with the island?" asked Cody following him.
Chris chuckled. "This exit was built with the original Pahkitew island, using an already existing metal ladder. But metal lasts a long time."
"I just hope the physical integrity of this set of steps is enough to endure our mass plus the pull of the gravity," said Scarlett, climbing carefully.
Then Sierra looked back and put a hand on Dawn's shoulder, "Now it's your turn, Dawn, then you Logan and Steve."
"How unusual you're not up there protecting Codykins," said Duncan in a snarky tone.
"Cody can protect himself, and right now, there is someone that needs me more. So come here bad boy, I'll carry you," said Sierra, kneeling in front of the delinquent.
Dawn and Steve keep silent, both stayed behind to help Duncan, but Sierra's idea was better.
"A-are you crazy!? I don't need your help," stuttered Duncan blushing.
"Are you sure you can climb the ladder on time with only one arm?" asked Sierra, then the hallway trembled again, dust and small pebbles falling over them. "We're out of time, so don't be stubborn. I owe you one for saving us."
Duncan ran his hand across his hair and sighed. "Whatever, this is ridiculous."
He crossed his arm around her neck, carefully to not hurt her, and put with his legs around hers.
Sierra stood up and began to climb the ladder. It wasn't a breeze, but she definitely was strong enough to carry him.
"I'm glad you weren't in the show," mumbled Duncan.
"What did you say?" asked Sierra, authentically curious.
The delinquent smirked. "That I'm impressed you're so strong. You were always strong, but I underestimate you."
"Hehehe, well, I have been locked for more than a month, and there was little to do aside from training. My internet withdrawal was so strong that I began to imagine the food trays were laptops and called Scarlett Ciri," said Sierra. Her nervous laugh making Duncan worried.
On the top of the ladder, Chris tried to push the cover, but it was closed. Why? He began to feel cold sweat running through his forehead.
Then, luckily for them, the cover opened, a person standing on the other side.
"I knew the day would come when you be crawling at my feet McLean. Oh, how sweet is the taste of revenge," said the person, as he laughed.
The emergency lights only dimly illuminated the hallway. The 4 girls were trying to run as fast as they could, following robo-Chef's instructions. But even if they were advancing, the trembles also started to occur more and more often.
"Now turn to the right, and at the end of the hallway. You'll be in the ruins again," said the robotic head. Which was carried by Amy.
"The ruins? But there is no exit to the outside from the ruins," protested Sammy while running.
The Chef's head tsked, "but from there, you have access to the caves, from where you can exit to the island. It's the closest route in my memory banks."
"Let's do as the creepy head says," replied Amy, huffing. "And Lilly, are you ok? There is no time to rest."
"I-I'm ok, *huff* just k-keep going," said the treehugger, breathing faster than the twins and sweating a lot.
As they went out of the hallway the fancy metal walls were replaced by the rudimentary stone walls of the ruins. They began to run through the stone steps as fast as they could, the trembles becoming stronger and stronger.
But suddenly, the ruins began to collapse, the stairs split, and a huge pit opened just below the campers. Lilly stood trapped on one side as Sammy fell into the pit, holding to the wall near the other side.
Amy lay on the ground, stretching her hand toward her sister. "You will be ok. Just hold my hand."
"I can't," said Sammy, trying to not panic. "I still can't put strength in my left arm."
"What? Are you serious?"
"I'm still recovering from the incident in the mountains."
"You said you were ok."
"I lied to not worry you."
"Stop discussing," said Courtney, looking at Sammy. "I'll climb down and help her. Also we need to find a way to help Lilly."
The treehugger shouted. "I'll go back and try to find another route."
"Are you crazy! It's too dangerous! Why you don't try to jump to our side?" shouted Amy.
But the distance was at least 10 meters. There was no way she could make it.
But before Courtney could begin to climb down the wall, someone appeared and lowered a long coat toward Sammy.
"Hold this, I'll pull you up."
"Brick!? Why are you here?" shouted Amy in an excited tone.
The cadet nodded. "We were looking for you. Now let's focus on rescuing your sister."
Sammy made a sigh of relief. She held the coat with both arms, using all her strength. And as soon as she was closer to the top, Courtney and Amy pulled her to the top.
"Now the only problem is Lilly," said Courtney, looking worried at the other side.
But in a moment, someone jumped from their side to the other side of the pit.
"Fantastic, you're one of the new ones. Nice to meet you. My name is Isabella Clayton. You can call me Isa. I love your hair, you know, redheads should stay together," said Izzy making a big smile. She wasn't wearing her coat.
Lilly looked at her, awed "Izzy? There is no need for you to jump here. There is no way I-"
"Shhh," Izzy interrupted her. "It's Isa, and don't worry, we have a plan."
Then someone on the twins' side threw the redheads a rope.
"Mike! I was wondering were where you," said Sammy making a big smile.
"I get lost and ended fighting some raccoons. Sorry for being late," said Mike rubbing his arm but smiling.
Courtney rolled her eyes playfully. "You're lucky we didn't need you. anyway, where did you found that rope?"
"Hehehe, don't underestimate Manitoba survival skills. I just carried it around after beating my double," said Mike, winking.
This didn't make too much sense for the former CIT, but there were more important matters at hand.
Izzy tied the rope around her waist and hugged Lilly. "Ok, friend, we're about to jump. Just hug me as hard as you can."
"But-"
"No buts, just do as I say," replied Izzy, hugging her around the waist while Lilly put her arms around her neck.
On the other side, the 5 campers held the rope.
"When they jump, we'll pull them with all our strength," said Mike, looking fiercely at the girls beyond the pit.
All nodded, it was a horrible idea, but a new quake made them realize there were no more options.
"Ok Lil, we jump, NOW!" Izzy stood for a moment giving Lilly time to process what she said, and then both jumped with all their might. As Lilly feared, they didn't have enough momentum to reach the other side.
But the others pulled them, and after a moment, Izzy and Lilly crashed against them.
"Ptui! Well, that went perfect," said Izzy smiling and spitting some earth.
Courtney stood up, shaking the dirt off her clothes. "I wouldn't call it perfect. But we don't have time to lose."
They began to run, but Sammy stopped them.
"Wait a moment, I remember there was a sliding door just here," shouted Sammy.
"Yes, but that evil computer closed all the exits, so the only way out…" but Izzy was interrupted when Sammy pushed the door open. There were some rocks stopping it from closing.
"… And as I was saying, let's took the shortcut." Replied Izzy shrugging.
The 7 teenagers ran until they arrived at the elevator, which took Courtney and Sammy to the surface during the 12th challenge. Brick used the walkie-talkie to inform them they found them, while Izzy and Mike forced the doors, but now they had another obstacle.
"We have a problem. There is no way we can climb through here barehanded," said Brick, rubbing his chin.
Izzy looked at him with a puzzled expression. "What are you saying? Of course, we can!"
"Hahaha, Are you serious?" asked Amy, who knew there was no way Sammy could climb with that arm.
Courtney looked at the elevator, there was no way to power it up, and even if they tried to climb, a strong quake would collapse the elevator's hole.
But then the sound of an engine interrupted them. A person opened the elevator top door.
"You're late maggots, here take this," said Chef, giving them two jet packs, like those used by Chris.
"Chef!? Never in my life, I thought I would be glad to see your ugly mug," said Amy, awed.
Chef rolled his eyes. "Yes, I also hate you. Now you, your sister, and the coward redhead come, I'll carry you to the surface. The other 4 use the rest of the jetpacks."
"That's the best plan, so listen to him and hurry. The facility is about to collapse," said Robo-chef, trying to nod.
"What the heck is that creepy thing?" said Chef, blanching.
Sammy held his hand and went to the top of the elevator. "We'll explain you later. Let's hurry and went out of here."
Chef helped Lilly and Amy to come up. He held Sammy in one hand, the treehugger in the other, and the older twin were hugging his neck.
"Try to not fall, mean twin," said Chef, smiling cruelly.
"I'll not give you the satisfaction, aaaahhhh…" said Amy, almost letting go when Chef suddenly took off.
Izzy and Courtney took the jet packs before Brick could do it.
The cadet faced the Latin girl. "Ma'am, maybe I should-"
"Did they taught you how to use one of these in the military academy?" asked Courtney in a cold and fast tone.
"No, ma'am," replied Brick honestly.
She nodded. "Then let me do it. I'm a certified counselor, I got this."
Meanwhile, Mike just hugged Izzy as soon as she had finished putting on the jet pack.
"Isabella airlines are ready to take off, don't forget to turn off your mobile devices and fasten your seatbelts," said Izzy making a big grin.
Mike raised an eyebrow, "You know we don't have a phone or seatbelt here, right?"
"Then we're ready to take off," said Izzy, starting the jet pack and flying through the elevator shaft with Mike hugging her.
Courtney hugged Brick, "Ok, soldier, ready? At the count of three."
Brick hugged her tightly. "Ready ma'am."
After counting, Courtney took off following Izzy. The jet pack wasn't that fast and quite easy to control. After a moment, they were out of the hole and into the island.
Courtney and Izzy followed Chef when they heard a sound like a loud thunder that lasted for some second.
The remaining campers felt a big earthquake on the island, the animals running out of the woods as fast as they could.
The center of the island collapsed in a big crater of at least one mile, the lake in the middle disappeared, and the woods around it fell.
It was over. Chef guided the campers to the campfire, where the rest were waiting for them.
Chris walked toward Chef while the campers greeted their friends.
"Chef, you bastard! We have known each other for more than 10 years, and you couldn't differentiate me from a robot!" whined the host, jabbing his finger against the big man's chest.
Chef scratched his ear with his pinky. "I knew it was a robot. I only play along to try to find what was their plan."
"LIAR! I can't believe no one figure out about it. If I was in your place, I wouldn't be fooled by any robot. And after all I did for you? If you're working in the industry, is thank to ME. You just come to Canada with nothing more than your shattered dreams and thanks to MY generosity…" Chris continued as Chef rolled his eyes. This was definitely the true Chris McLean.
At the same time, the campers were meeting and greeting each other.
"Scarlett? What is she doing here?" asked the twins at the same time.
The genius smirked. "I have to endure some vicissitudes after my best contrivance developed an ego and decided to confine me was the best way to-"
"Mwahaha, and you and that nitwit of McLean were saved by ME. Who is the EVILEST genius now, ex-sidekick?" asked Max in an arrogant tone.
"If you're trying to goad me into an argument, you should first cease sheltering behind Sierra," said Scarlett rolling her eyes
Max hid behind Sierra again, not daring to come closer to the redhead. "I'm not doing what you say I'm doing. I'm just giving you some space, yes, because I'm a gentleman, an EVIL gentleman."
"Oh my gosh! Is like all the Pahkitew cast is here! Did my Tophi also come?" asked Amy, talking like Sammy.
"Stop doing that," Sammy blushed. "But my sis is right, why is Max here?"
"Chef formed a rescue party for this quest, he already had some suspicion based on Max's comments, and the disappearance of the chopper of shame started it. And pick Max and me because we had some skill points spent on using the hacking device," said Charlotte, waving at the twins.
Amy waved back and smiled. "For someone who went away from the island forever, you come back too often."
"This time I wish I wouldn't," said the e-gamer rubbing her arm. "The mini-game this time was rowing in a canoe. And Max was the worst player for this party."
"It's not my fault that my arms aren't used – or long enough – to row properly. I'm an evil genius. Thinking is what I do, not some useless 'row, row, row your boat' simulation," said Max in an annoyed tone.
At the same time, Courtney was with Logan, Lilly, Cody, Brick, and Mike.
"So you were replaced by robots? I can't believe it," said Courtney, looking around for someone.
"Yes, it was just after the slot machines challenge. I remember taking the elevator to the first floor, but it took me to the basement instead, and then I was knocked out," said Cody rubbing his neck. "so what will happen. Am I eliminated?"
"I think we need a lot of answers from Chris. This challenge really took a toll on all of us," added Mike, sighing.
Courtney looked around one more time. "I don't know if they can do anything. The episodes were already broadcasted." She then cleared her throat, "by the way, do you know where Duncan is? I can't find him. Is he trying to prank me?"
The presents looked at each other, except Lilly who didn't know where the delinquent was.
"Mr. Duncan is in the infirmary with Steve and Dawn," said Logan, trying to not look at her. "He was injured while fighting the robots."
She blanched. For a moment, Courtney couldn't process what she just heard.
"But don't worry ma'am, he isn't in danger," said Brick trying to comfort her.
She then turned and ran toward the infirmary.
"Wait, Courtney! I have some announcements," shouted Chris, but she just ignored him. "Damn, she never listens."
The host then turned to face the rest of the presents. "I have 3 announcements. First, and most importantly, we'll continue with the season."
"What? But the island is no longer operative," said Logan, looking at him with wide eyes.
"I'll not answer any questions today. We'll discuss this tomorrow," glared Chris at the intern. "Second, we'll continue the season as if nothing happened. So all the challenges and eliminations that happened and are already broadcasted stay as they are."
"B-but that isn't fair," said Cody in an upset tone.
Sierra nodded. "Yes, Cody didn't deserve to go. You're basically doing the same thing you did to LeShawna."
"We're all tired, so we can discuss this tomorrow. But Cody was already eliminated, and the episode was broadcasted through the mobile app. So we can't just say it didn't happen," replied Chris, Chef nodding behind him.
"And what's the 3rd announcement?" Asked Brick, but everyone was concerned. So far, there was no good news.
Chris made finger guns at the cadet. "I'm glad you asked. Tonight we're doing the last DAM elimination. And the one going home is …
"Mr. Mclean, If it's not much to ask, I think I should be the one eliminated tonight," interrupted Lilly before Chris ended his announcement
"WHAT!? Are you crazy? You basically stopped Chris's stupid computer from destroying the island!" Shouted Amy, pointing and giving Chris a death glare.
"Please Amy, listen," said Lilly, looking at her with a concerned expression. "It's for the best. I was greedy and cheated during the competition, being tempted by the easy path. It's fair I'm eliminated."
Chris nodded while hiding behind Chef. "I can't say no to such a sound argument. So the last DAM Elimination is Lilly. Now everyone go to sleep. Logan and Steve will share the guy's cabin with Mike, Max, Brick, and Cody. Twins, Sierra, Courtney, Scarlett, Charlotte, Dawn, Lilly, and Izzy you will stay in the girls' cabin."
"It's Isabella Clayton…" said Izzy rolling her eyes. She then smirked. "You know something? Sierra is here, and we destroyed the evil mastermachine, so I guess I'm Izzy again. Ok, cool, you can continue."
"Thanks for interrupting Izzy," said Chris in a snarky tone. "You're lucky you're eight, and there are eight beds.
"But we're nine," interrupted Sammy.
"Details, you will manage somehow, anyway, this is all for this episode. But what will happen next? Is Duncan alright? What will happen with the show? Did we have enough budget for the remaining challenges?"
"And where we'll sleep tonight?" asked Chef, rolling his eyes.
"What? I mean, find the answers to this and more questions in the next episode of Total Drama, Tyranny of the masses." Said Chris winking at the camera. He then turned to Chef. "And what do you mean? we have the producers' cabin, remember?"
"It was buried with the lake," said Chef shrugging, Chris facepalming and frowning. "And don't look me like that. It isn't my fault."
"What did I do to deserve this?" said Chris sighing sadly.
