A former thief who is currently getting his just deserts in Hell tells his audience what his life is like. He hasn't learned a thing and actually enjoys the punishment that he shall receive forever. The thief tells how he is restrained from moving by countless snakes and then bitten in the jugular vein. He simualtaneously bursts into flames at this point and turns into burnt ashes only to reform sometime later in order for the punishment to go on again and again. A direct allusion to Dante's Inferno.
Constantly I always bragged
Of my thieving conquests.
Now I have naught a rag.
Bound naked in the circle most despised,
While others of my kind scream in fury
Never have I cried.
I twist and moan in eternal bliss.
The irony is this is hell.
I am a masochist
The punishment may seem cruel
But my beloveds enchant me
To the point I drool
Serpents bound my hands
And slither round my thighs
Then creep slowly, about my Netherlands
My love is not returned
And they hiss at me in malice
Yet the feel of their scales makes my heart churn
A leap forward. A vicious bite.
Adam chokes on the forbidden fruit
While blood rockets out, quite a sight.
Now I am Ra
If not for a moment
Shining bright, aflame I'm burned raw
Ring around the rosey
We all fall down
I'm all but cozy
The only part I truly dread
is the end of this ordeal.
The floor is now my bed
Not too long though my fears end.
For the process to be eternal as it must.
Forever I am born again.
