Disclaimer: I do not own Miraculous Ladybug or Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. I don't know how law works so bear with me.

In the criminal justice system, sexually-based offenses are considered especially heinous.

In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit.

These are their stories.

"Do I know you?"

Lila almost had a heart attack when an American student named Jess asked her that.

"N-No. I'm just a simple girl from Paris."

The Native American girl who questioned her just squinted her hawk-like eyes at her. "I know I recognise you from somewhere…"

Alya swooped in, always happy to brag about Lila. "Oh, you must've heard of her! She saved Jagged Stone's kitten from a moving airplane!"

Jess shook her head. "No, that's not it. And Jagged Stone is allergic to cats."

"That's not true!"

"Yes, it is. Look it up, French fry. Now why are you so familiar?"

"I can do a facial recognition for you." Aeon offered.

"Facial recognition?" Alya questioned.

"Uh, she's just kidding!" Jess quickly covered up. She leaned in near Aeon's ear and hissed. "Remember, Aeon, you're not an android here, you're just a normal human girl."

Aeon nodded in understanding.

Alya scoffed. "You guys are so weird. Let's go, Lila."

"Lila?" Jess said.

Lila gulped.

"Oh my god, you're Lila Rossi!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

Aeon blinked, her eyes flashing blue for a moment. "It is 100% her unless she had plastic surgery."

"Everyone, Lila Rossi is back!" Jess cried.

The American kids gasped. Some boys even screamed and hid behind some girls.

"It's her!"

"She's back!"

"Why?"

"How stupid is this girl?"

"Someone, call the police!"

Lila was a narcissist and loved attention whenever she can snatch it. But this attention, she didn't like.

Not one bit.

So, like a scaredy cat, she ran away.

"Lila!"

Her classmates (except for Mairnette and Adrien) followed her to her room, where she was (fake) crying on the bed.

"Lila, what's wrong?"

Lila sniffled before explaining in a tear-filled voice. "I used to live in New York, before I came to Paris. I…I…"

"What?"

"I was raped!""

"You were raped?

"Yes, and everyone bullied me for it, like it was my fault a guy took advantage of me, so I fled to Paris! It was just awful!"

Before anyone could utter a comforting word to help Lila, Mr Damocles opened the door, looking alarmed.

"Does anyone want to explain why the police is here to arrest Lila?" He asked, before pushed aside by a woman, holding out a gold police badge in a black leather wallet.

"Captain Olivia Benson of SVU. We're here to arrest Lila Rossi. Fin, Rollins, Carisi."

Three detectives moved from behind her to surround Lila, pulling her up from the bed and putting silver handcuffs on her wrists.

"You're not taking her." Kim said, stomping over to save Lila but one of the detectives, an older black man, stopped him with a single stare.

"Interfere, and you're getting in a jail cell with her." He said huskily.

"You can't arrest her! She's only a minor!" Mr Damocles shouted.

Olivia held up a sheet of paper in his face. "We have a court order that says we can try her as an adult and a fugitive, since she fled before a trial was set and her crime isn't so minor."

"You're not gonna slip away this time, Lila." One detective gloated in a cocky Brooklyn accent.

"Let's go, missy." The third detective, a blonde woman, said as she and her fellow detectives forced Lila to walk.

"I'm innocent!" Lila cried.

"Yeah, yeah, and I'm Mickey Mouse." The black man retorted.

Alya jumped in front of the detective, holding out her phone, doing a livestream in order to help Lila. "LadyBloggers, my best friend Lila Rossi is getting arrested for getting raped! This is an example of slut-shaming and injustice!"

The detective pulled looks of disbelief.

"Raped?"

"Injustice?"

"Slut shaming?"

"Are these kids high on something?"

"Honey," Olivia said gently, getting the kids's attention. "Lila wasn't raped. She was the rapist."

"What?"

"That's not true!"

"But she's a girl!"

"Girls don't rape!"

"Men are just as vulnerable to rape as women. If you don't believe me, look up 'Rapist Princess of Queens'. It has all the proof you need. Let's go."

Olivia turned and walked away. The detectives followed their captain, dragging Lila. Alya ran after them, her phone still recording. When she got outside, she stopped.

There were crowding the police and Lila, shouting and holding out papers with #MeToo scribbled on, giving hard glares to Lila as she was shoved into the police car and drove off.

And Alya got it all on her livestream, for all of her viewers to see.

SUPREME COURT

TRIAL PART 11

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26

"Mr Gilbert Damocles…" ADA Rafael Barba said to the French principal on the stand. "Are you aware that one of your students is a convicted sex offender?"

"No, I was not aware." Mr Damocles answered.

"Did you read her file? It was marked for her crime in rape on it since it was transferred from New York to Paris."

Mr Damocles turned red in embarrassment. "But she's just a child and a daughter of a diplomat…"

"So, you ignore protocols because she offers you a bribe?"

"No!"

"That is the only explanation, unless you neglected to so do out of laziness."

"I am a good principal! People entrusted me with their children every day!"

"You allow a sex offender enter your school, a public school where prominent people leave their children to you. You also allow said sex offender to skip several weeks of absent due to her 'travels', her 'disabilities and illnesses'. Either she provided you a falsified file or you just never read her file. You're greedy or neglectful, take your pick."

"Objection!" The lawyer assigned to Lila shouted.

"Sustain." The judge simply said. "Answer the question, Mr Damocles."

Mr Damocles glared at Barba who revealed cool.

"No. I never read her file."

Barba smirked. "No comment."

"Ms Cesaire, you run the LadyBlog?"

Alya frowned at the ADA, her arms crossed over her chest. "Yes, I do."

"Your blog is dedicated to the French superhero, Ladybug, yet it also keeps up to everyday issues?"

"Yes."

"And on April 3rd, you posted a live video of Lila claiming she is Ladybug's best friend?"

"Yes, I did."

"Now, there wasn't any sources, but Lila and Ladybug hasn't even confirmed that Ms Rossi is her best friend."

"She is!" Alya shouted, slamming her hand on the stand for extra dramatic measure.

"Order!" The judge demanded, but Alya ignored her.

"I post the truth!"

"Mr Damocles, control your student!" The judge ordered.

"Exhibit A…"

A PowerPoint presentation appeared in the court, showing a page of Alya's blog.

"Since posting that interview, your ratings have dropped by 30% and you got a number of bad reviews. RedUrHeartOut said Is this 4 real? This blog is bogus. It posts trash. #FakeNews #Don't read ladybug. SoftKitty66 said Free all, Free all! LadyBlabber takes anyone who talks about Ladybug, even the wannabes! #Lie-laNobodi #LadyBlabber. HueyDewyLouie said How much did Lie-la pa mins of fame? #FakeNews #Cheap #LadyBlabber. Are you aware that your utter trust in Ms Rossi is affecting your life's work?"

Alya glared. "She's my best friend, she would never do that. She would never lie to me."

Marinette felt her heart broke.

"She just did." Babra retorted. "No comment."

"Exhibit B…"

The PowerPoint presentation now showed a picture of Adrien and Lila modelling in swimsuits.

"This is a photo from a shoot between Ms Rossi and Mr Agreste. Note how she has her hand on Mr Agreste's arm and hip. Like a tiger digging its claws into its prey. Mr Agreste, was ms Rossi aggressive with you?"

"She's just a very affectionate person." Adrien answered.

Olivia and Fin shared a look of disbelief.

"The kid's naiver than a shut-in schoolgirl." Fin hissed.

"Well, he was home-schooled until last year." Olivia whispered. "It definitely delayed his brain and behaviour development."

"His daddy can buy South America but not fees for a boarding school at least."

Barba had the same thought as the police unit, just as baffled and disgusted at the boy's treatment. "Adrien, Lila was clearly manhandling you. Do you want her to touch you at all?"

"I…. Well…it is permitted."

"Says who?"

"Everyone. My friends, my father, Lila…"

"They're not the ones who have a girl, a rapist, dig her nails into your skin. Adrien, do you know that what she is doing to you is sexual harassment?"

"Objection!" Lila's lawyer cried. "My client has not been convicted of any crime yet!"

"Order!" The judge demanded. "Continue, Mr Barba."

"Thank you, your honour. Adrien, I'm not asking if your friends say it is ok, or your father our even her. I'm asking you. Do you want her to touch you?"

"Objection!"

"Sustain. Answer the question, Mr Agreste."

"…No. I do not want Lila to touch me at all."

"Mr Agreste…"

With arms crossed, Barba smirked as he faced every lawyer's nightmare: the intimidating Gabriel Agreste. But to him, the fashion designer was just a challenge to get overdue justice for a poor victim.

"Were you aware that one of your models is a rapist and a fugitive?"

Gabriel took a minute of silence to answer. "No."

"You must've bodied a background check on her since she's one of your employees.

"No, she gave me back the contract with her mother's consent, although now I suspect she forged her mother's signature. And she's not one of models anymore. I fired her."

"So, you knew of her crime?"

"No!"

"You did know of her crime and still let her near your son, who is the same age as the boy she raped?

"No!"

"There has to be explanation as to why you never research Lila Rossi. Are you secretly running a ring of child pornography?"

"WE HAD A DEAL!" Gabriel roared, taking everyone aback in the courtroom, even the judge.

Barba reminded unfazed. "What deal?"

Gabriel pressed his lips tightly together, remaining silent.

"What deal, Mr Agreste?" Barba pressed.

Gabriel sighed in defeat. "She came to me, saying my son was surrounded by bad influences at school. I was concerned and she seemed genuine, so we made a deal that she would look out for my son at school, and she would be a model at my company."

"So, Lila Rossi, a rapist, told you that your son's friends are bad influences?"

"Yes."

"And in exchange, you made her a model alongside your son?"

"Yes. Though now, I admit I acted to fast but what parent doesn't when their child is in danger?"

Rollins dropped her jaw. "That's how she took an overprotective parent like Gabriel freaking Agreste into her web. She used his son."

Across the room, Barba shared the same thought. "The only danger he is in was the one you gave him. Have you ever asked your own son how he feels about modelling with Ms Rossi, after he testified, she sexual harassed him on a daily basis and he felt uncomfortable with her?"

Again, Gabriel went quiet, refusing to say anything.

"Mr Agreste, answer the question." The judge ordered.

Gabriel glared at the lawyer. "He understood the business."

"So, you turned your son into a sacrificial lamb. No love lost."

"Objection!" Gabriel's team of lawyers exclaimed.

"Yes, I admit, Lila and I fled to Paris." Lila's mother confessed.

"Why?"

"We needed a fresh start."

"Because France has no extradition laws concerning citizens from the United States?"

"No! The Parisian-Italian ambassador is an old friend of mine and he offered sanctuary."

"You're not an ambassador yourself?"

"Not anymore. I was fired last year."

"Due to the scandal?"

"Yes."

"Lila had told her school you were still an ambassador."

"She must've felt embarrassed to tell the truth."

Barba scoffed on his disgust. "She was embarrassed? Embarrassed that she wasn't rich and powerful anymore? Embarrassed that she was convicted of rape? Embarrassed that she was a fugitive?"

"Objection!"

"Sustain."

"Mrs Rossi, was it Lila's suggestion that the two of you flee to Paris?"

"…I had to protect my daughter."

"No, you had to protect yourself. She was protecting herself too."

"Objection!"

"Sustain. Carry on, Mr Barba."

"Ms Rossi, your daughter also told her school that she has a vast number of disabilities, illnesses and famous friends and takes world trips, and she uses those 'facts' as excuses to skip school."

"She told me the school was closed due to Ladybug taking weeks to purify one Akuma!"

He shook his head, actually not surprised. "No comment."

"It's ok. Take your time."

Michael Avery was shaking in his chair, looking down on his hands, avoiding all eyes set on him and all ears listening. He took deep and heavy breaths, slowly gathering the strength to talk.

"She was the popular new girl. Everyone liked her. She had…a way with words. She said she danced with Beyoncé, sang with Rihanna, went to Japan for a ball with the emperor…She even said she single-handedly climbed Mount Everest wearing nothing but a bikini. Silly but everyone believed her, especially when the boys."

"When did the assault start?" Barba gently asked.

"It started…when she asked me out. I wasn't interested in dating at all, so I said no. She has every other boy in school drooling over her, but she wanted me because I was considered the most handsome and richest because my parents own a string of restaurants. She kept asking and asking and all I said was no. She wouldn't take no for an answer. She couldn't. It's like she never even heard 'no' before."

"Did she rape you at first?"

"No. First she spread ugly rumours about me. My friends turned their backs on me because she told them I harassed her, and I spread a rumour that she's a prostitute, but she actually started it to frame me. I got kicked off the basketball team and maths team because she said I was cheating and taking steroids. Then I confronted her…or she confronted me. it was hard to tell. She was waiting for me. She said she can make it go away if I just 'confess my love for her.' But I told her no. I won't go out with her if she was the last girl on the planet. Not after what she did to me. That's when she…she…"

Michael stopped talking to take sharp intake of air.

"She jumped at me. Pushed me down. Hit me in the face over and over until I lost consciousness. Eventually I woke up…I was tied up. She got handcuffs from Joey McJohn. His dad is a cop. She was on top of me, ripping off my clothes. She mocked me, saying she was gonna have me one way or another, saying I would remember her as the first and only girl to have sex with, that she would be my one and only. She took off her skirt and…"

The details of the rape were horrific. The French kids were shocked at what they heard. Marinette looked at Michael softly, her hand placed on her heart.

"When I didn't come home, my parents called the police. The SVU searched for whoever raped me. They found Lila, she tried to lie that I rape her, but the SVU knew I wasn't faking my trauma, they knew she was responsible. But the next day, she was gone. She ran away to France and the law couldn't get her back. It was like a wall crashing down on me."

Michael started to cry.

"Everyone was blaming me for raping her and now everyone was blaming me for getting raped by a girl. She ruined my life!"

And then he broke down crying.

The French kids felt so sorry for him. For years, they heard stories of young girls getting raped, but never have they heard of a boy just their age having been raped. And worst of all, he was violated by someone they trusted.

They looked over to Lila. She was glaring at her rape victim, actually furious that he described her as a villain, not the slightest remorseful of what she had done to him.

It was that moment, the French kids (except for Marinette and maybe Adrien) that they realised she was a villain.

The worst kind.

"I knew Lila was lying from the moment I ever heard of her."

Marinette sat up straight, hands settled on her lap. Even with everyone's eyes on her, she maintained a confident pose.

"She had everyone under her spell. She said she worked with Prince Ali, toured with Clara Nightingale, saved someone wearing glasses from their eyes gorged out by a napkin. She even claimed she rescued Jagged Stone's kitten from a moving airplane and got tinnitus and a song in dedication to her. Most of the time, she wasn't even in school. I don't know where she is, but I believe she found a way to have free days and doesn't get in trouble for it."

As Marinette spoke the truth, she had Lila's deadly glare on her.

"Her lies were so ridiculous but everyone believes her, and I tried to tell them the truth, they said I'm only jealous and demanded proof. I wasn't jealous she had everyone under her thumb, but I was jealous that she was flirting with Adrien. I was jealous because I have the biggest, craziest crush on Adrien."

In the crowd Aly and Adrien dropped their jaws.

"She knows I'm not one of her followers. She knows I'm a threat to her new life. And since then, she has been turning my friends against me and putting me into trouble. She even framed me for stealing test answers and pushing her down the stairs and got expelled without a fair trial and then said she has a lying disorder to put me back in school for some reason all in one day. She's crazy. Lila will do anything to get her way. Anything."

Barba smiled at the bravery of Marinette. "Thank you, ms Dupain-Cheng."

Marinette smiled back.

"Has the jury reached a verdict?"

"We have, your honour. We find the defendant…"

The courtroom was filled with tension, waiting for the final word.

"…guilty."

There were cheers from the crowd, happy that Michael got his justice.

"What?" Lila cried. "No, no, no, this can't be! I'm a minor!"

"If you have bothered to listen to your own trial, you would know that you no longer have age-based privileges due to the fact you committed a crime worthy of an adult." Carisi told her snidely.

Lila turned to her lawyer. "I'm not paying you to screw me over like this!"

But even her lawyer was fed up with her attitude. "You're not paying me at all. I was assigned to you by the law. I did the best I could, but don't you realise everyone hates you now, even your friends? Even the jury!"

"Order!" The judge demanded, slamming her gavel. Everyone went silent. "Lila Rossi is sentenced to juvie until she is 18 and transferred to Rikers for 25 years." The judge glared hard at Lila across the hall. "And this time, just sure she doesn't escape."

"Mama, don't let them do this to me! I didn't do anything!" Lila cried as police officer grabbed her.

But her mother turned away, hiding her face leaking with tears.

"You deserve this, you witch!" Michael Avery's mother screamed at Lila. Her husband held her back. "You killed my baby boy! I hope you rot in hell!"

Lila realised that she was surrounded by disgusted glowers. In her delusional desperation to grasp on any short string of power, she eventually found it in the form of her latest scapegoat.

Marinette.

"You! You did this to me! You set me up!"

But Marinette didn't flinch. "I didn't rape anyone or fled the country. You brought this on yourself. I only said what you did to me."

"You're just jealous do me because all of your stupid, dumb friends liked me better than you! Even Adrien is in love with me! You just can't stand anyone else in the spotlight!"

"No. You can't stand anyone who says no to you. You're a danger to everyone."

"You…you…."

Lila was pumping with fury. Her anger granted her the strength to break from the guards to flee at Marinette, the two girls crashing down to the ground, and Lila's bony hands around Mairnette's neck, cutting off her air supply. Lila laughed cruelly as Marinette was choking by her own hands.

"Get off her!"

Finn, Rollins and Carisi all pried Lila off Marinette. Olivia swooped in, helping the Chinese-French girl up.

"Are you ok, sweetie?" The captain asked softly.

Marinette nodded but she was gasping heavily for air and there were scratches leaking blood on her neck.

"I need a paramedic here!" Olivia shouted.

"I DID NOT RAPE ANYONE! HE WANTED IT!"

The captain hugged Marinette protectively as Lila was dragged away screaming.

"EVERYONE WANTS ME! ME! ME! YOU'RE JUST JEALOUS OF ME! YOU'RE ALL JEALOUS OF ME! YOU DID THIS TO ME!"

"Justice is served." Jess said. Aeon nodded.

Lila's and Marinette's class stared on.

"She really is a monster." Nino said quietly. His friends nodded I'm numb agreement.

16TH PRECINCT

NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT

NEW YORK, MANHATTAN

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 12

"Somebody get that picture out of my face."

Per Finn's request, Carisi took down the picture of a smirking Lila from their whiteboard.

"This girl is ugly as sin." Carisi noted.

"And she's got a soul to match." Rollins adding, holding out a bun for him to drop the picture in it. "Hopefully, she wouldn't be duping anymore suckers."

"And with the assault she did on Marinette, her sentence got bunched up a notch."

"There's one thing I don't get. Why did she come back to New York if she knew she would get caught?"

"Well, I can't tell if she's intelligent or dumb, just plain evil and ugly." Fin said.

"Both." Olivia announced as she walked in. "She's smart enough to charm everyone she meets but her lust for control and power overwhelms her logic. Her class was going on a field trip here. She needed to be with them to keep her hold on them or else they would sober up from being drunk on her lies."

"So, we got lucky."

"Luck had nothing to do with it. It was instinct for a sociopath and narcissist like Lila." Olivia turned her head, glancing to one of the waiting rooms. "But it was lucky one of Lila's punching bags punch back."

Behind the glass windows, Marinette was talking to Michael, and to Olivia's surprise, he was talking back, smiling even. Ever since the incident, Michael had been terrified of girls. But Marinette's gentleness and bravery was a breath of fresh new air for him. She approached him timidly, offering him homemade macaroons and small talk. She understood pain and betrayal, even if she wasn't raped. The both of them were hurt by Lila.

To give Olivia even more surprise, Michael reached out and grasped Marinette's hand.

"She's strong. Most teenage girls would go great lengths to hide their crush on someone."

"God, I did." Carisi said. "In seventh grade, my friends made me sign a Valentine's Day card and put it in the locker of a girl I liked, so I pulled the fire alarm to distract everyone and bashed her locker with a hammer to get the card back."

Rollins looked at him. "And for some reason, you became a cop and decided to share this story with cops."

"I was 12!"

Olivia was amused. "Well, Marinette didn't solve her problem with a hammer. Her testimony put that Rapist princess away for good. Marinette chose to sacrifice her biggest secret to help nail Lila down once and for all."

"Captain," A young police officer approached Olivia and her detective, followed by a group of teenagers.

"There's some kids here to talk to you."

It was the French class.

"Can I help you?" Olivia asked, her voice soft with caution.

Alya stepped forward. "Madam, I wish to apologize for my horrible behaviour at the trial. I shouldn't lose my temper. I thought Lila was my friend and she had been convicted wrongly, but she was guilty."

"Next time, check your sources." Olivia simply told her.

"I can't believe Mari would blurt put her crush on Adrien like that. She's so crazy about protecting her secret crush on Adrien. She once stole his phone to delete a voicemail she left."

"She what?" Adrien uttered.

"Well, she did. She sacrificed so much in order to see what kind of girl Lila is. No one her age has the guts to do that. They're too busy hiding their secrets. Am I right?"

The class all glanced to their feet, guilty and ashamed.

Adrien looked up. "Madam, we were told Marinette was here. Can I speak with her?"

Finn, Carisi and Rollins glanced knowingly to each other.

"Sure. Wait here."

Olivia left, and in a minute later, she came back with Marinette and Michael.

"Adrien? What are you doing here?" Marinette asked. She blushed when Adrien approached her.

"Marinette, I-"

A gasp interrupted them. The couple turned around. Michael was standing froze with a face of fear.

"Michael?" Marinette asked gently.

Adrien reached out for Michael, hand out for a shake. "Bonjour, Mr Av-"

Michael flinched.

"Dude, he was saying hello!" Alya scolded, her quick temper forcing her to leap forward towards Michael, who stumbled back.
"Alya, stop!" Marinette snapped.

"What's wrong with you, man?" Alix asked.

Soon enough, the whole class was approaching Michael, despite Marinette's pleads to get back. And Michael released a series of shrill screams.

"Back off, punks!" Finn shouted. He and his fellow detectives stepped in, pushing the kids away from Michael.

"Marinette, you and Michael go back to the room." Olivia ordered.

Marinette ran to Michael, put her arms around and helped him move to the safety of their room.

"What is wrong with him?" Chloe asked in her typical rude manner.

Olivia glared at the kids hard. "You. All of you."

"What?" Rose gasped.

"We didn't hurt him!" Ivan exclaimed.

"You did. By standing aside Lila. Until halfway through the trial, you all stood by Lila's side. Alya and Adrien, you went on the stand and defended Lila. Marinette was the only one who knew she was a con and defended her case."

"But we know the truth now!" Mylene begged. "She tricked us!"

"It doesn't matter now. He sees you as his rapist's army who would attack him for her. To him, you're just as bad as the girl who ruined his life. If you really want to help him, let him heal. Leave him alone. And leave him with Marinette."

Olivia walked away, leaving the kids stunned by the recent events.

"New York was supposed to be fun…" Juleka whimpered.

Adrien stared ahead. Marinette and Michael back in their little glass-protected room, hugging each other tightly, the boy crying on the girl's shoulder.

Adrien tried to push away the jealous away for sympathy.
