The sound of rain was pouring down, every drop making a whisper as it fell. A young boy was deep into his slumber as the weather seemed to soothe his dire needs. He was heavily wrapped up within his blankets, clutching on a second pillow as if it were a teddy bear. As he continued sleeping, the sound of footsteps began to synthesize with one another. The sound got louder as the door began to slowly open as a figure moved their hand towards the light switch. Eventually the lights would be turned on as the boy quickly groaned and turn the other way.

"Marth, it's time to get up silly. You don't want to be late for your first day of school, right?" spoke the figure.

The boy known as Marth would slowly get up and look towards the figure. His vision was a hazy as he placed his right hand on the desk near his bed, looking for his glasses. After a few minutes, the azure haired boy would find them, quickly putting them on to see his older sister at the door. A soft smile would form on his lips as he responded to her with a nod.

Elice would return a smile back before heading out to the kitchen. Marth would stumble off his bed, tripping on his on blanket and fell onto the maroon carpet. He'd get up, opening his closet and grabbing his school uniform and other bodily necessities before heading over to the bathroom to do his daily routine. Afterwards, the teen would quickly head downstairs with his belongings to meet his sister in the kitchen.

"Aren't you excited to be a junior this year?" asked Elice.

He'd once again respond with a nod as his sister didn't seem to mind. After all, she was the only family he had left. Their parents died a couple years ago in a car accident and ever since then, Elice was taking care of him.

A few moments later, the two finished eating breakfast as Elice handed him some lunch money before sending him off. She'd told him to be good, kissing him on the cheek as he walked out the door. The school was only a few blocks away from him. The bluenette would open up his umbrella and begin strolling through his neighborhood. He'd look around, admiring the different varieties of front yards as he'd begin to space out. Eventually, Marth would get back into reality and make his way towards the crosswalk.

As he was about to cross, a speeding car could be heard, interrupting the peaceful nature of the rain. It'd slow down and inch up close to him near the side walk, breaking as a window was being rolled down. Marth winced right away when he saw the driver along with the passenger.

Douglas Falcon, otherwise dubbed Captain Falcon, would smirk along with his pal Donkey Kong. Both of them wore jersey jacket's, indicating that they were part of the school's football team.

"Hey dweeb, where you going?" taunted Douglas. DK would laugh along, making Marth tense up.

He refused to answer them, knowing where this was bound to go anyways. Marth had to go through this every year since the day he's started middle school. The boy knew how much it would pained Elice to hear about his constant bully problems, so he always managed to pull on through with a smile.

The football player would make a face, obviously getting frustrated. Heavily sighing, he'd once again ask Marth where he was going. They were demanding an answer as he tensed up even more.

"S-school…." he answered. The two football players would look to each other as they exchanged faces in laugh. DK was about to speak until he was interrupted by a girl's voice.

"HEY!" she shouted. "LEAVE HIM ALONE YOU JERKS!" The girl would quickly run towards Marth, glaring at the two jocks.

DK would sing-song in a mocking voice. "Oh no, it's Caeda. Run for you lives everyone!"

Rolling his eyes, Douglas would just give in and sigh.

"You heard the woman dude. We should get going anyways." Before they'd leave, he'd decide to drive his car near the curb, wetting Marth before driving off, laughing.

"Goodbye losers!"

The car would disappear from their sight as the girl looked to Marth. She'd open her schoolbag, taking out a change of clothes wrapped in a bag as she handed it to the bluenette. "Here, I brought this just in case those jerks pulled off something like this." He'd take it, thanking her as they'd continue their way towards the school.

Marth really owed Caeda big time. After all, she was his best friend. She was the one who was always defending him from his bullies, even going as far as to start a fight. He really didn't know how he could have gone on without her. The two would arrive at the school, heading inside as Marth would head over to the boy's bathroom to change into the spare clothe's his friend offered him.

Afterwards, he'd come back out, thanking her once again.

" It's no problem." she said, ruffling his hair. " Anyways," she murmured " How was your summer vacation? Did you do anything exciting this year?"

He'd take a moment to think first. Shaking his head, he'd replied " No, not really. Unless of course you count going to the museum as something interesting." Marth would chuckle nervously, his face giving off a tint of red. Caeda would give him a puzzled look at first then gave off a mischievous grin.

" Hey Marth, what's wrong? My, you're getting redder than a tomato!" she teased.

" Oh, it's nothing. Just a funny thought I had."

" Would a funny thought make your face tint red?" The blue haired girl always playfully teased him. He knew she didn't mean any harm anyways. Marth would change the subject as the color of his face returned back to normal.

" Are you taking AP classes this year?" he asked curiously.

" Of course!" she answered back, smiling. Before he could respond, the bluenette would fly across the floor, hitting the ground.

Anyways, that's the end of chapter 1. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Oh yeah, I should mention this now, this is a leisure story just written for fun so I'm not going to care about the grammar errors and whatnot.

I'm also open to suggestions and ideas for the next chapters, so if you got any, don't feel afraid to tell me. You may never know, but I'll probably take your suggestion if I like it.

Also two easy questions. Feel free to answer these as well.

1. Who else should be on the football team?
2. Any suggestions of who should be popular?
3. If any, should Marth have any other friends besides Caeda? If so, who?
