"You do not find a happy life, you make it."
Wool's Orphanage, a perfectly normal orphanage, with normal children playing around even though they had lost their parents. There was no need for extra funds, as there were several people who gave donations. There were kids from the age of 2 to 15.
The director of the Orphanage did his best to educate the children with the best knowledge so that their futures could become bright, a perfectly normal orphanage that was never short of any resource.
But, the kid living in Room Number 13 was not normal. The kid, who was more like a man had brilliant silky untameable hairs, pale skin, and bright emerald-green orbs. He was 10 years old, almost eleven, but was quite tall for his age, had a well-chiseled body which could only be achieved by a lot of physical activity, he had perfect eye-sight, and was genius in his studies. Now, you would ask that what was not normal with him?
Being a genius was no problem! The fact was
that kid was overly genius, and currently, he was reading a book on the subject called 'Quantum Physics.' You would assume it a joke, right? But no! It was not a joke. Almost at the age of eleven, he was planning to go to University, with the age of 4, he started skipping classes, and now he was so advance that he was bored in his studies.
Another proof of his abnormality, that he could levitate things on his will, he could talk to snakes, and sometimes when he was angry he could change the color of his teacher's hair.
The child was a little anti-social but apart from it, he was kind-hearted and was like a big brother to the whole Orphanage.
He had helped the Orphanage many times by winning various Martial Arts tournaments, some Quiz competitions, and many more, so he had a solid reputation.
He was also a very pragmatic kid and preferred logical thinking, but quite rude at times, and was bored. Everything came easy to him, and 'when everything comes easy it is boring' as quoted.
A voice interrupted him from the book he was reading, the voice came from his window, he stood around to see a beautiful Barn Owl with a letter in its mouth. He opened the window and began reading it.
Mr. H. J. Potter,
Yup, that was his name, Harry James Potter.
Room 13,
Wool's Orphanage,
London
This was his address before moving to University. He took out the paper in there and began reading it, which had been written in very elegant writing.
Dear Mister Potter,
We have been delighted to inform you, that you have been accepted at Hogwarts Witchcraft and Wizardry.
He ended reading after the first line, who the hell would send him a Joke letter? He took the rest of the letter, tore it into pieces, and continued reading his book on Quantum Physics.
{SCENE BREAK}
Minerva McGonagall was a woman, of 50-60 years. She was teaching in Hogwarts as a Transfiguration teacher, a very difficult field of Magic. She was also the Deputy Headmistress so sending letters to the new students which were accepted into Hogwarts was her work too. All the letters had been replied, leaving muggle-borns, except one, Harry James Potter.
Everybody knew the history of the relationship of Minerva McGonagall and James Potter, she thought of James as her son and was in trauma when she heard about the death of James and Lily Potter, her two favorite students, and she graciously wrote the letter of Harry James Potter, so here she was, at the address mentioned in the letter to personally look for The Potter Child, in front of the fate of Wool's Orphanage.
She entered the gates of the Orphanage and saw the large fields in front of the big Orphanage, which were enough for a person to play. She entered the very large Orphanage, she noted. A cloth woman came into her vision, and soon as she saw her, she came to her, she greeted her with a smile, "I am Sister Helena, who are you? And for who are you here for?"
"I am Professor Minerva McGonagall, Sister Helena, and I am here for Harry James Potter as he has been accepted into our school." She said, greeting her with the same smile. She decided not to give much information about Hogwarts and take it as confidential as possible
Helena's face brightened at the mere mention of the child, "Come, come! I would take you to his room." She said gesturing towards the hallway. This gave McGonagall a good feeling that Harry was a good boy.
A moment of silence passed between them when McGonagall decided to gain more information about Harry for the upcoming interaction between them, "Sister Helena, do you mind telling how Harry is? Like his behavior or something?" She asked.
The sister immediately beamed with pride, "He is a very bright child and kind-hearted child, though he could be rude at times, he is absolutely a genius in studies." She told the Scottish Professor.
"I see..."
Soon, they arrived outside room 13, and Minerva took a deep breath, for the upcoming confrontation, "I would leave you alone." Sister Helena stated as she left. Taking another deep breath, McGonagall opened the door, she saw the same messy hairs, a child laying on the floors reading a book.
He looked replica of James Potter, she coughed to make her presence known. The boy turned around stood up and adjusted himself.
He said in a soft voice, "Yes?" She was on verge of tears, seeing the child but composed herself.
"Mister Potter, I am Professor McGonagall, I am here because you did not respond to our letter."
The boy looked confused, "Which letter? Oxford? Cambridge? Considering you are a professor, so you are some teacher in a University," He asked confusedly.
She frowned slightly at the boy's behavior, she simply took out the acceptance letter, she had brought with her. She gave the letter to the boy, the boy took the letter and as soon as he saw that, "So, you are the one who is sending that joke letter!" He said flatly.
McGonagall's frowned deepen at the boy's statement, "Mister Potter, this is no joke," She said.
The boy's face went blank, "How this not a joke? Anything but Wizardry? Don't tell me children's story!" He told her, forcefully.
McGonagall's simply just sighed, and took out something stick-like, Harry took his fighting stance, ready to ponce at her if she attacked him. She waved the stick pointing to the study desk, muttering something under her breath, and by a second later, the small desk turned into a large Mahogany study desk.
Harry's eyes widened from shock, he turned around to see her smiling, he nodded to her, "You have my attention!"
{SCENE BREAK}
An hour later, Harry found himself walking out of the Orphanage, his conversation with McGonagall was eye-opening.
Firstly, yes. A magical world exists. He got to know that both of his parents were magical and he was a half-blood, his father was Pureblood, and his mother a Muggleborn.
A Pureblood wizard was someone whose ancestry claimed having no Muggles and Muggleborns in their family tree. A half-blood referred to someone who has a Pureblood parent, and a Muggle or Muggleborn 50 percent of the Wizarding population was a half-blood. And lastly, Muggleborns who are born from muggles, a term for a non-magical person.
Harry found these things stupid and nonsense, and seriously of no reason, but he was determined that he would learn more about Wizarding World.
After leaving the Orphanage, McGonagall asked for his hand, firstly he thought she was being a pedophile, but she told him they were going to Apparate, a means of transport for the Wizarding world.
As soon as he gave her his hand, he felt being forcefully shoved inside a tube, and then the next blink, he barely managed to stop the vomiting, and Wow! They were in a different place.
They entered the pub which was known as the Leaky Cauldron, and by the fact, only a magical person could see it. There was a bar and many people were drinking and smoking in it, ignoring it all, the Scottish Professor moved forward, they came in front of Brick Wall, and she began to tap at certain it with the same stick, which was known as a Wand.
The bricks began to move, making it passable through it, and the magical world got exposed to Harry. It was HUGE alley to say, with people wearing colorful robes with pointy hats on their heads, walking without a single care of the rest of the world.
After reading the list, he realized that he needed money, McGonagall told them that they were going to Gringotts, some sort of Wizard's bank. His family was one of the richest families in the country, as far as she had said.
They came in front of Gringotts, and it was massive, the whole building was covered with white marble, with the large and intimidating doors. In front of the doors, on the two sides, two guards were standing, they were short creatures with pale skin and long hooked nose. They had unusually long fingers which wrapped around a very sharp ax.
These were Goblins. As far as the Professor told him, or more like warned him, a warrior-like race which was fond of gold and riches, but short-tempers. Whilst the sore relationship between them and wizards had not been extinct, yet, they were the ones who managed the whole banking system of Wizarding World, and were given a lot of freedom to do so.
They entered the very busy bank because it was afternoon, and people were out for their works. There were several of those creatures wearing spectacles and doing paperwork. As they went to the center goblin who was sitting on a large throne, his face more wrinkly and scruffy than those he had seen at the back, so probably he was old enough.
The voice of guide- wait, guide? Nevermind- broke his thoughts, she said something about withdrawal which he ignored he just wanted some money, to buy books and the wand, they say so that he could learn magic.
The Goblin's voice was surprisingly deep, "But, Mister Potter needs to take inheritance test."
With the look, she gave to Goblin, Harry concluded that she already knew it, she sighed, "Very well... Mister Potter, please follow Chief Ragnok, for the inheritance test."
Shrugging his shoulders, he followed the goblin without a second thought. They entered a large room, which was probably Director's Cabin, and moved along, the room itself was a wonder, from outside the chamber looked rather small, when they entered it was vast, various shelves had various files. He moved along, the Goblin gestured him to sit which he did.
The Goblin began to take out some piece of paper, which he realized called Parchment in wizarding word, he gave him a knife which was a dagger, to cut himself so that some blood could be spilled on the parchment, he assured him that the blood clotting would stop, not that he minded if his blood dropped. As soon as the parchment received blood it started glowing gold.
Status:

Most Ancient and Noble House Of Black
Most Ancient and Noble House Of Peverell
Magical Abilities:

Wandless Magic
Ignoring the first section of the parchment, the section of Status, he directly came to the second and third section, he looked up to Goblin for the explanation. Ragnok explained to him about Ancient and Noble Houses, the other two being exempt, the House Of Peverell attracted his attention a lot.
Ragnok explained, then, about his magical abilities Parseltonge meant that he was able to talk to snakes. Occlumency meant to protect one's mind and organize it more efficiently, there was also a counterpart of this ability, Legilimency, which was the ability to look into a person's mind.
And the last Wandless Magic which meant to do magic without a wand. Ragnok gave him three rings of Potter, Peverell, and Black.
The Potter ring had was made up of Gold and Silver, with pure red ruby on the top. It had some small initials in Latin 'Natus Vincere.' Being fluent in the language, Harry was quickly able to comprehend that it was written 'Born To Conquer.'
As he entered the ring, a familiar feeling delve inside his body, he felt a weird hot sensation, but it was suppressed by the rest of the magic.
He took another ring, it was very dark, its body was made from purple and black metal, with an Amethyst on the top. As he wore that ring, he felt a little dark, and grumpy, the feeling was frequent yet very slow. It had also some Latin initials carved 'Pura Semper.' Again, he was able to read it, it was 'Always Pure.'
Then, he came to the last ring, it was silver, and gray, with one triangle which had a circle touching the Triangle's border, and a perpendicular line going through its greatest angle's opposite. Same as the other two it had some initials too, they were 'Novissima Autem Inimica Destruetur Mors:', which was Translated to 'The Last Enemy To Be Destroyed Is Death.'
As Harry wore the ring, that he was intrigued by the most, he felt a calm sensation, he felt confident, he felt something familiar feeling rushing through his entire body, he felt freedom!
By the end of the who scenario, he realized that he has been sweating and panting furiously. Ragnok congratulated him something along with the lines, 'Heir Harry James Potter-Peverell-Black,' which annoyed him, but he did love the sound of Heir Peverell.
The rings disappeared, to his shock. Ragnok told him that they disappear when you did not need them, and would come back when he needed them.
"Now, can you please give me my damn money!" He yelled, annoyed. The Goblin chuckled at him and gave him some pouch. He explained that this was a 'Moleskin Pouch.' It was directly connected to his trust vault, and he could take as much money as he wanted. He thanked him and left.
He came back to the main corridor, only to found McGonagall who now had a small pouch on her waist, but Harry decided to ignore it,
They re-entered the Alley for their school supplies. The next two hours were used from wandering from one shop to another for the school supplies. They brought potion supplies which was rather a smelly shop, he decided to come and check later for more supplies of other years. He also was going back to Flourish Blotts, as these would be finished in a day or two.
The Trunk Shop was another shop, which he was going to come back to later, to take a look at more advanced ones. The only two shops were left were the Pet and the Wands.
They entered the pet shop, which was owned by a lady with silver hair and baby blue eyes. She was quite old and had various scratches and marks on her skin. The shop was very small but was packed with pets, there were toads, cats, a hawk, and various owls.
"Caw!"
He heard a sound from the back of the shop, it was almost shady at the end of the shop, he moved around and began going there. Losing the track of path, he looked around, to think where that sound was coming when he heard it again.
"Caw!"
He went more inside to the shop, where he saw a Raven. It was a Raven but was quite large. Usually, a Raven is 21 to 26 inches in size with its wingspan from 115 to 150 centimeters. But it was like 30 inches, though it looked young, with its wingspan from 175 to 190 centimeters. Its whole body was inky, with black eyes, but this was not that weird, the weird thing was that he felt a connection to that Raven, like they were the same.
A voice broke his thoughts, "If I were you I would not go around her, lad. She has got wicked temper, sharp beak to add."
He turned around to see the familiar lady, The Shop Owner. "Would you give me her outside?" He asked the Lady.
The lady looked skeptical, she narrowed her eyes slightly, before warning, "It is up to you, the previous who touched had gone bitten by her."
As she finished her sentence, Harry opened the cage, and took out the bird, he carefully ran his fingers to her soft feathers, as she trilled. The woman looked shocked, but as soon as she desired to the bird, she was nearly bitten by it, "Bloody Bird!" She exclaimed, "Five galleons with cage, and she is yours, lad!" She bet.
Harry bargained, "Three galleons but without the cage." The owner looked cautious but nodded, Harry handed her three galleons and began retrieving them from the shop.
The Scottish Professor was waiting outside for the child, she raised an eyebrow when he saw the boy coming with a Raven.
"Very odd choice, you have Mister Potter. What is his name?" She commented when the child came near to her. He merely shrugged and nodded.
"She is a female, Professor, and I was thinking of name her Mavis, do you like that name?" He asked the last to the Raven, which rubbed her head to affectionately and trilled, which Harry took the sign that she liked it.
McGonagall stopped, before saying, "Well, Mister Potter, I need to do some school work, but your wand is left, so I was hoping that you could take it by yourself." The Professor stated calculatedly.
Harry nodded, "I would do that, Professor that is not a problem." Internally he was screaming with joy, that he could have some free time alone so that he could do some of his shopping, the extra one.
"Very well, but where would you stay? Would you go back to the Orphanage? Or would you stay in Leaky Cauldron?" She asked skeptically.
"I would take a room in Leaky Cauldron, Thanks!" He nodded, whilst petting Mavis. "Good day to you, Mister Potter." She said before she apparated away.
Hadrian decided to take wand first, and revisit the Alley the next morning, so he went to Ollivanders which were supposedly makers of the finest wands since 382 B.C.
He entered the shop, the shop was very old and dusty, there were large old shelves, suddenly he heard Mavis squawking. He turned around to see a man, creeping him out!
The man was very old, with shoulder-length curly grey hairs, and a very wrinkled face. His hands were boney and his eyes were milky blue, which made him wonder if he was blind. He was proved wrong when he decided to pet Mavis but barely managed to bite. Mavis was continuously sitting on his shoulder after McGonagall had gone.
"She is a very smart bird, Mister Potter." His eyes rose when he heard his name from the man's mouth.
"So, you know, who am I?" Harry asked the man. The man chuckled at his vague curiosity.
"I remember every wand, I have sold Mister Potter, including your parents' wand too..." Harry's eyebrows rose significantly, I mean, it was not every day we met a man who remembered everything he had sold.
"Okay, so I need to select a wand." The man while going to the counter, answered, "Mister Potter, you do not choose a wand, but a wand chooses you!" Harry found himself nodding in understanding.
"I see...So if no wand accepted you, then you won't get one."
"Hmm, you won't get one? I believe not, there must be a wand that would choose you, but there has yet to be a spell capable of matching a wizard and a wand."
Ollivander departed to take several boxes, as he ended those. Over an hour, they tried different wands for him, some felt too hot, some felt too cold, and some jumped out of its hand. During this time, the giddiness of Ollivander increased immensely, and Harry became annoyed immensely.
"Well, Mister Potter, it has not happened with me in years, but I wonder..."
His sentence was trailed off, as Mavis flew from Harry's shoulder, its perch, and went to deep inside the shop, "Caw!"
Ollivander gave Harry a questioning look who merely shrugged. Ollivander went inside the shop following Mavis, it was a few minutes later, when Ollivander came with a box, with Mavis perched upon it.
There was a look of surprise and confusion on Ollivander's face, as Harry managed to judge it, Mavis flew, and once again, perched upon his shoulder Ollivander came with Dark Wooden Box.
There was a Horse-like creature with wings engraved in the box. Then, there was the symbol that Harry recognized, it was the same symbol that happened to engrave in his Heirship ring of House Of Peverell. Then the same words, 'The Last Enemy To Be Destroyed Is Death.'
Ollivander started to mutter something, which Harry ignored, he opened the box gingerly, there was long wood, with a cluster of Elder Berries running down its length.
He took out the wand, ignoring Ollivander, a warm feeling began flooding inside his body, he felt a part of him had been reattached, the tip of the wand glowed brightly, bright enough to make anyone blind, they both had to cover their eyes.
Finally, when Harry was back from the pool of his thoughts, he found himself panting, and sweat pouring down his body. He looked up to Ollivander, the Old Wandmaker had a disbelieving look, he muttered, "15 inches, Elder Wood, The tail hair of Thestral...the only wand here which is not manufactured by my family."
"So, who made this?" He asked when he listened to Ollivander out of curiosity. Ollivander smirked at him, "This," He started, "Mister Potter, is something you would have to find out."
Nodding to himself, Harry asked the price, "So, how much do I have to pay you?" He asked the Old Man. Ollivander laughed, "You don't have to pay me anything, my child, but...I strongly advise you to learn the art of Occlumency."
Harry wanted to tell the man that he is natural in that art but decided to leave, "Is there any particular equipment to keep Wand?"
The Old man smiled, "Yes, there are Wand Holster, would you like one?" Getting a nod as the answer, the man went back to shop, he came with A Pure Black Wand Holster, "This is Wand Holster made from Hebridean Black's hide, this would be five galleons."
Harry gave him the asked Galleons and began retrieving from the shop, at the back of the shop, he was not able to see Ollivander's amused face, "My, My Mister Potter, in my whole carrier as a wandmaker, I never had expected anyone to be chosen by that wand. I can only expect great things from you...great things..."
{SCENE BREAK}
Harry checked in a room in the Leaky Cauldron. The next day, he ate breakfast, he also asked some meet for Mavis, he took out his pressed the bricks, and the entrance to Leaky Cauldon opened, with Mavis perched on his shoulder. Today, he needed to do some of his shoppings.
He, firstly, went to the Trunk shop, where he had brought that trunk, he was going to look for some more advanced ones, he entered the shop, the same man was sitting on the counter, he was quite young from most of the people, Harry had seen in Diagon Alley, that man had short brown hair, and with average built and grey eyes.
Harry observed that the man's grin widened when he saw the Moleskin pouch with Harry, he also noticed the Raven which was sitting on his shoulder but ignored it.
"Do you need any help?" The man asked. Harry looked up, "Ah, yes I was looking for a new trunk, but I know very little about it." Harry replied the man.
"There are five different classes of Trunk." Showing his clueless face Harry asked the Shop Owner, "Can you please elaborate?"
"Of course, Class 1 is just a normal, average trunk with a feather-weight charm, which makes it quite easier to carry, then there is Class 2 has also a minor expansion charm which gives some extra space. Then, there is Class 3 which has three different compartments inside the trunk, which could only be unlocked by a key. Class 4 comes with an actual sized room, adding the three other, you would have four spaces. The last, Class 5 has seven compartments, all are full-sized rooms, with an optional Statis room, for potion ingredients of course. It also has the strongest security system, and you would be able to set a different password for different rooms."
He looked to the class 5 trunk, it was made from Mahogony wood, with steelwork in its border, and it was also beautifully carved. "How much for Class five?" He asked the Shop Owner.
That man did some mental calculation before saying, "The trunk is 675 galleons, but if you give us more 225 galleons, we would be able to add furniture and the utensils, plus the Password to enter I will tell you later if you purchase?"
Nodding to himself, "Add the extra charms, I need a Bedroom, Potion Lab, A Magical training room, a study, a Library, a Statis Room, and would I be allowed to do magic outside the school?"
"Until you are inside the Trunk, you can do, the protecting charms would protect you, also tell me your name for the order, it shall be done by the evening."
"Harry Potter, I would take the trunk in the evening." As he returned from the shop, Mavis flying up to his head, whilst giving a Caw.
Harry found himself in Flourish and Blotts for books, he was taking books from Grade 2 to Grade 7, leaving Grade 1 as he already had those. He also found a book known as Ancient Runes: The Language Of Magic, there were four books written on it by the same writer, he took them all.
He found a book, 'Arthimacy,' it also had four parts, he took them, he then looked for the book on the subject, Ollivander had said to practice, he found the book 'Occlumency: Organising And Protecting Mind.' There were three parts to that book from 'Beginner to Intermediate to Expert', he purchased them all. There was also its counterpart 'Legilimecy: Learning And Reading Thoughts.' It also had three parts, he purchased them all.
There was also a section on a boy name 'Neville Longbottom,' he also took one book on him. As he entered the counter, he saw a bemused face of the owner, "You do know that these will cost a lot?" She asked him.
Shrugging his shoulders, he asked the price, "How much this all will cost?"
"These will cost 769 galleons 16 sickles!" She exclaimed, Harry just took out 770 Galleons gave them to her. After paying the sum, he went to Apothecary, for extra supplies.
Finally, his shopping was over!
Author's Note- Yup, there we are done with Diagon Alley, the next chapter the Train Ride, and Sorted.
The Warrior's Way would be the one on which I would be uploading the Chapter.
