I could feel my head pounding as I tried to sit up from the pure white ground.

Wait...

{Welcome Gamer!}

The floating blue box that appeared in front of me got my attention pretty fast,

"So, I'm the Gamer now?" I asked scratching the back of my head,

{First of all, would you like to change your race?}

I blinked, change my race? Like a monster, or an elf?

{More like changing it to something that can help you out in the long run instead of being a boring old' human.}

In that case, can I become a half-devil? Like Dante from Devil May Cry?

{If you so wish. Your race will change to 'Half-Devil' Is that what you want?}

"What are the pros and cons?" I asked

{As a Half-Devil you will be immune to things such as impalement and falling and be physically stronger. Surprisingly, there aren't any cons, so long as you're talking about the Devil May Cry devils.}

In that case, I'll become a Half-Devil. After all, If you could become an overpowered half-demon and The Gamer, any sane person would do it. Besides, the Game will probably either nerf me or overpower the enemies.

{Wonderful! Would you like to take the tutorial?}

{Yes/No}

I shrugged and pressed 'Yes'

{Excellent! Now commands can either be spoken aloud or thought let's start with a simple one, 'Status'.}

'Status.' I thought better get used to thinking the commands, don't want any bad guys knowing what I can do.

{For using logic and planning ahead you have gained 1 INT and 1 WIS!}

Eh, I'll take it.

[Zac Conners]

[Race: Cambion]

[Title: The Gamer]

[Level: 1] [0/100]

[HP: 100/100] [HPR: 1/MIN]

[MP: 100/100] [MPR: 1/MIN]

[Str: 6]

[Vit: 6]

[Dex: 6]

[Int: 7]

[Wis: 7]

[Luc: 6]

[Stat Points: 0]

[Money: 0?]

Next to my name was a picture of me, I had brown hair slightly swept to the right, and light blue eyes, I had a slightly tan complexion with no blemishes (to me at least), I was wearing a midnight blue shirt underneath a black hooded jacket, and a pair of dark blue jeans with a pair of brown hiking boots on my feet.

'Wait… don't new gamers start with all their stats at five why are all my of mine one point higher?'

{I'm glad you asked Gamer! But before we get to that let's make those stats stand out a bit more, hmm? Here's 5 SP.}

Since I don't where I'm going to be sent I'll have to think about this a little carefully...O.K.

I'll put one into Str, Vit, Dex, and Luc bringing them all up to seven, leaving me with one extra point, I'll put that into Vit, just in case I bit off a little more than I can chew.

{For thinking ahead you have gained 1 Wis!}

My new stats were…

[Str: 7]

[Vit: 8]

[Dex: 7]

[Int: 7]

[Wis: 8]

[Luc: 7]

There, that should give me a little bit of a better chance in… wherever it is I'm being sent. Along with my new devil-hood.

{All done? Perfect! Now then Let's check out all your mad skills!}

I took a guess

'Skills.'

{For making an accurate guess your Luc has increased by 1!}

Should I be worried about all the SP I'm earning?

Nah…

[Gamer's Mind: MAX: As a Gamer, you are able to think clearly in the midst of events that would break most mortals.]

[Gamer's Body: MAX: As a Gamer, you never need to rest or eat to survive, but keep in mind resting will ALWAYS restore HP, MP, and remove negative effects.}

[Blood of The Devil: MAX: Active: the ability to take on a more demonic form, +100% DMG dealt -50% taken when transformed, Duration: 1MP = 1 second. Passive: All senses are enhanced.]

[Observe: Lvl 1/10: The ability to understand what you're looking at.]

[Alert! Abilities can only be upgraded via ability points! You'll receive one per level!]

Neat, but that doesn't explain why my stats are higher than other Gamers.

{I'm getting to that now one last thing unless you need a tutorial on how the 'Inventory' works?}

No, unless mine is different for some reason?

{Nope! Now onto the next part. PERKS!}

'Perks?'

[Supernatural Blood: Supernatural power courses through your veins, enhancing you far beyond what a mere mortal can truly do! Gain +5 to Str, Vit, and Dex at every level. Passively boosts HPR and MPR by 1. Negate DMG done by falling and Impalement.]

[Supernatural Presence: Every mortal you meet will know of and respect your power! All SPEECH-type skills have a +50% chance to work.]

'So I guess some skills fall under a certain category then?'

{For making a logical deduction you have gain 1 Int!}

{Quest completed!}

[Quest: 'Tutorial']

[Objective: Complete the tutorial (X)]

[Rewards: +100 EXP]

{You have reached level 2!}

{One more thing before you go! Pick a weapon!}

[Brass Knuckles]

[Longsword]

[Staff]

"Hmm… I'll take the longsword for now. I'll probably get something different later."

{Steel Longsword has been added to your Inventory}

XxXxX

*THUD*

{-1 HP!}

"Ow…" I groaned as I fell onto a large tree branch one of the mini-branches hitting me right in the gut,

{Skill learned! Physical Endurance: Lvl 1/10. Your body has become used to damage and gotten tougher from the experience. Passively decreases damage taken by 5%.}

Sitting up I looked around and saw that I was unsurprisingly in the middle of a fucking forest in the middle of some random world. I sighed and opened my Inventory pulling out my new sword

'Observe.'

[Steel Longsword]

[The Standard weapon for any beginning warrior steadfast and strong this blade will cut down your enemies and keep you alive.]

[DMG = Half of the wielders Str+5 = 11]

The sword wasn't very special in terms of looks, it was about 11"-12" long with a black leather handle. Looking at it I wondered what I sho-

{Skill learned! Detect Bloodlust!}

{To the left!}

I reacted instantly rolling underneath a swipe for my head I turn and tightened my grip on the Steel Sword as I used to Observe after setting my sights on the foe.

{Stray Beowulf Lvl 4}

[HP: 100/100]

I grinned, oh the chaos I'll cause in Remnant. But first, I had to kill this thing.

"Well come on then ya mangy mutt! I'll kick your ass."

[Skill learned! Taunt]

[Taunt: Lvl 1/10: The art of snappy comebacks show everyone that words can be weapons too! This a SPEECH-type skill.]

Oh, the fun I'll have.

The Beowulf roared, mad at either my insult or at being ignored, wasn't too sure.

As the Grimm charged at me I sidestepped at the last possible second, causing it to slam into the tree I had fallen onto giving it a stunning status. I wanted to end this quickly in case its roar alerted any other Grimm.

So I kicked its knee bending it at an unnatural angle forcing it to roar in pain before I stuck my sword into its neck forcing it to choke on its black blood.

'A little brutal but, whatever.'

[+40 EXP!]

I grinned, before looking at its dissolving corpse and reached to grab what it dropped.

{Enable Auto-Loot?}

{Yes/No}

Obviously, I hit yes.

[Gained Grimm fang x2]

[Gained Grimm Claw x3]

[+20 Lien]

Nice.

[Skill Learned! Sword Mastery!]

[Sword Mastery: Lvl 1/10: The art of the sword has been passed down for generations. Increases damage done by all swords by 10%]

Very nice.

{Quest!}

{Lay of The Land}

{You've dropped in an unknown forest. Find your way to civilization!}

{Objective: Reach a Town/City.}

{Rewards: +50 EXP, Skill Book, Weapon Blueprint.]

{Accept?}

{Yes/No}

Hitting yes I started my long walk towards what I hoped was a city.

XxXxX

After what had to be a few hours at least, and two more Beowulf's both being level 2, I finally found my way into the city of Vale.

'Seems that Vale is still intact so I stop the Fall and kill that bitch,' I thought to myself, smiling slightly as I walked down the street, it was midday so I had some time to kill before what I hoped was the start of 'Ruby Rose' Time to find a weapon shop to get myself a new weapon and a gun.

{Quest Completed!}

{+50 EXP, Skill Book(Instant Dungeon), Shotgun (Double Barrel/Sawed-Off) Blueprint!}

Well, I guess that takes care of how/where to get a gun, I read the Skill Book I got as well.

[I.D. Create/Escape Lvl MAX]

[I.D. Empty]

[I.D. Beowulf Unlocked]

[I.D. Ursa Locked]

[I.D. Taijitu Locked]

[I.D. Boarbatusk Locked]

Max level? I guess I need to do certain things to unlock the other I.D. but will more I.D. become available later? I'll think about it later, first I need to forge myself a shotgun.

XxXxX

{Forging: Lvl 1/5: The ability to turn chunks of material into useful items/weapons. Higher levels allow for a more complicated and shorter forging time. Requires Skill books to level up.}

[Sawed-Off Shotgun. The most simple shotgun design you will ever see doesn't mean it's any less dangerous! DMG = 15.]

I grinned as holstered my new weapon, now I can attack at a distance since I don't have any spells yet, that reminds me: Check out the nearest book store and level up my new forging skill to get better weapons later on.

{For planning ahead you have gained 1 Int!}

Closing the window I headed towards The Dust shop, the weapon shop clerk was nice enough to tell me where it was.

From Dust Till Dawn.
