It was night at Vale, not one soul in the streets. In the turning point of one completely emptied street stood an abandoned building. Not being suspicious at all. In that mentioned building the sound of machines could be heard as they worked loudly on a mysterious material. Now this liquid they produced was just a test, but what it will do is mystery to all but can hold big powers that can't be stopped by anyone.
A handsome guy, at least what he considered himself, stood there managing paperworks. The orange haired man was desperate to find out the component of this forementioned material as he knew his boss did not tell him everything. What's more, if the boss would tell him a little bit of the plan that was considered plenty.
"This woman is driving me crazy… Not in that way though" as he deepened his thoughts furthermore he did not notice that someone was sneaking upon him.
"Hey man, what are you doing? It seems like you are deep in thoughts. I'm sure you are thinking about our lovely Cinder." Said Mercury with a teasing tone.
"As if. How is that she tells you more than me when it is obvious I'm more capable than you brats." He wasn't in a good mood which was showing through his expression toward the young man.
"Cinder just doesn't trust you fully yet. It seems even not in us either." Emerald mumbled that last sentence as if she said it to herself rather to the others. "Look, we don't know much about this project either. We only know that it is some kind of liquid but what it does, we have no idea." She looked to the machines as she said those words. Almost had to shout over them because they were so loud.
"Wait, did I hear you right? You said liquid? I did not know even that much until then" Mercury was so clueless, mostly because he didn't even care. On the other hand, Emerald was sure that Mercury was there when they discussed this little detail with Cinder but he was so occupied with his legs to fix them.
"Anyway, this is so pointless. What am I doing with this paper anyway. I don't even know what my task is which just shows how much I am in the dark!" He tossed that specific paper away. Not that he understood the words in it, it was so scientific. And he was dumb, at least Emerald thought so.
As these three continued on their conversation concerning how much they don't know about the situation the night went by fast and the next day came. Which meant a new day, new opportunities for Team RWBY. Now this team had no clue about what happened in the darkness. At least not all of them, but a certain Faunus had some caution about what was happening outside of Beacon Academy. Blake had her worries regarding the White Fang even before that incident happened with Torchwick. It just made it worse for her after that. She could not think about anything else and the others started to notice this.
Ruby at first just thought that Blake was being Blakey again as usual. That's why she did not say anything about her mood but as time went by and nothing changed she started to worry. She thought she had to ask at least. "Hey Blake, is everything alright with you lately?"
Not even a moment later Yang interrupted her fastly. "Yeah and don't say you are fine because we clearly see that you are not." The yellow haired brute said angrily, because she asked the same thing from her for quite some time and she always said the same thing over and over again. Yang didn't want it to push it but now she had enough.
Weiss just walked next to her teammates observing the situation which was unusual because she was considered the voice of reason in her own view. But now she stayed with observing the situation.
"You guys worry too much. Can't you see I am always like this? Why not just leave me alone for once?!" Blake almost snapped while stating that last sentence. It didn't really matter if she said that angrily or not because the others looked surprised after the words came out of her mouth.
"Whoaa. I tried to observe the scene you people were making in front of me but I can't just ignore this without saying my part in the situation." Weiss stated quite harshly as she always did with her blue eyes piercing into Blake's amber ones. "Blake, you are completely out of character. Lately you are acting aggressively like Yang typically does, but to be honest you are being worse which is hard to imagine when we are talking about this brute."
"Thank you Weiss. I acknowledge your compliment." Yang stated, trying to mimic Weiss's tone and posture.
"If you consider this angry, then you do not want to see when I am really in that emotional state." Blake said to Weiss, completely ignoring Yang's stupidity.
"Ohh I see, so now you are threatening me. Now, if I remember correctly that's not the Blake I met and got the opportunity to know."
"You don't even know me!"
"Because you don't give me a chance to get to know you!" Weiss basically shouted, scaring Ruby a little by showing her tone to the Faunus she usually does when scolding Ruby about trivial things. But this time it was more serious.
"Okay guys, can you please stop shouting because the whole school is staring at us at this point." She tried to make them see what kind of scene they folded in front of the whole school.
Blake and Weiss stopped for a moment as they looked around seeing that everyone was indeed staring at them while they gave them that scene which didn't make any sense for the audience.
"Thank you Ruby, the youngest of all, for making sense here." Yang said while looking at the two fury balls in front of her and gave them a glare that shot fire to their souls. They almost felt it. "Okay people, the show is over! Everyone can move on with their stuff!" With this Yang cut the show short and turned to their teammates again with anger in her eyes. "What the fuck is your problem you guys? I'm breaking my swearing issue again because you're acting like idiots."
Now this went on for a while but of course Ozpin saw everything as he just sat in his chair drinking his cup of coffee. He found this whole display interesting as he never once saw team RWBY this uncoordinated. Of course the people in Beacon have their privacy so he can't see what is happening in the dorm rooms so he missed a lot when those heated arguments happened between the mentioned team.
Five minutes had passed and those four were still in the same position arguing about whatever they found annoying in the other. To be more precise, Ruby was just watching them pulling her hood on by now because of the frustration she felt.
"Can both of you please shut the fu—"
"Blake Belladonna. Please come to my office. Now."
"Oh great. Thank you guys for the daily dose of pointless chit-chat. Now if you excuse me, I have to go because of course this stalker can see everything."
"Blake Belladonna. Come to my office. And I heard that."
"And hear everything…" she sighed and walked away from her teammates. Leaving them behind dumbfounded.
"Okay, can one of you tell me what the hell just happened?" Yang said, being surprised by how Blake was acting.
"Well, I was trying to find that out but you can't break her walls." Weiss stated, deep in her thoughts.
"No kidding. Who else do I have this problem about breaking her walls?" Ruby implied while looking at the pose of the Ice Queen. Weiss was in deep thinking but a few seconds later she registered what Ruby said and sent her way a quick 'Tch' and with that shutting the whole conversation down.
While Blake was walking to Ozpin's office she couldn't stop thinking about what happened a few minutes earlier. She was so out of it, like she wasn't herself. Little pieces of the event came into her vision and started to remember things. The way to the office was long despite it should have been 2 minutes away. Although we lost the Faunus at the first turning point because she was in her own world thinking about the events that occured not less than 1 minute ago. It took her more than 5 minutes to get there. A lot of time she turned at the wrong place then once she even walked into the wall getting surprised stares from students.
When she finally managed to get there Ozpin greeted her with a kind smile he always gave every student to boost their confidence. "Hello, Miss Belladonna. You can sit down."
Without a word Blake sat down. Well, she wasn't so talkative so Ozpin already got used to this behaviour of hers.
"I don't want to waste much of your time. I'm sure you have more productive things to do, considering the scene your team showed me which was worth a ticket. I don't really understand what is going on in your head but if something is bothering you, you can always come to me with your problems."
"What if this problem is something you can't solve?"
"Well, we won't know unless you share it with me." He said calmly as always. This man was calm every situation he was in. He can be in stress or in a heated battle his expression never changed from calm to worried.
"I'm sorry, Professor Ozpin, how I acted. I actually don't know why I said those things."
"It's fine. You shouldn't say sorry to me. You well know who you should say those words to. There must be a reason why you acted the way you did. If you aren't ready to share it with me for that certain reason, I'm positive there is a reason for that as well, even if you don't know it yet."
"Thank you, Professor. I will think about this. Now can I go?"
"Of course. But Blake, I welcome every student with problems in my office. Don't hesitate to act."
Blake nodded and left the office immediately after that. She was still cautious with the Professor after him finding out about her Faunus heritage. You can't be sure when he will use that to his advantage. Although, Blake considered him a decent guy even if she played safe with him.
Now she has to face her teammates again. "Just great… I don't even know what happened. How can I face them like that?" She was lost in her thoughts again. She didn't know what came into her and why she acted the way she did.
Something was going on, and she did not like that one bit.
