-Remnant, Sanus, Vale, Beacon Academy, Team RWBY's Room-
Ruby sighed as she rested on her bed, bored out of her mind as the rest of her team were busy training or having fun with other teams, leaving her alone in her room.
And unfortunately, Zwei was with Yang at the moment.
"Why did I have to stay here? Why did I choose today to have a lazy day? It's only fun when there's someone else to be lazy with you." She grumbled while rolling around on the bed. "And I forgot the snacks!"
As she grumbled, she wondered how Weiss was doing, since from what she heard, she was having someone from her family visiting and was all stressed out about it. Something about them possibly 'falling over themselves' or something was muttered by her when she thought Ruby wasn't noticing.
"Man, I really want to spend time with Weiss. Even if she's mad afterwards."
Knock knock.
"Coming!" Ruby called out before zipping towards the door, expecting one of her teammates.
But when the door opened, she saw a tall fair skinned woman with slate-blue eyes, long white hair that in a low ponytail going over her left shoulder and sporting a bun in the back, a E cup chest and wide ass, wearing a white cravat secured by a ruby encrusted silver brooch, a light purple jacket with light sleeves, a wide silver belt around her waist, a light purple pencil skirt, black tights and white slippers, looking at her with a puzzled expression on her face.
"Oh, pardon me, I thought this was the room my daughter resided in."
"Oh, and who would that be?"
"Weiss Schnee, my middle daughter."
"Wait...you're her mom?" Ruby blinked in surprise. "Wow, you look just like her!"
She lightly blushed at the compliment. "Thank you, I suppose she did inherit some of my natural looks. Is she here right now?"
"Oh she went out a while ago, something about a sister or something."
"Ah, she must mean her older sister Winter." She nodded. "But where are my manners? I am Willow Schnee, matriarch of the Schnees."
"Ruby Rose, nice to meet you." She said while shaking the woman's left hand quickly.
"Likewise. But since my daughter is currently occupied, I have to find my older daughter."
"Wait wait! Why don't you come in and wait? I can show you some of Weiss' stuff, like um her good grades and letters?" Ruby said quickly while dragging the woman into the room. "And maybe we could talk about Weiss, I mean she is my best friend."
"Oh really? How amusing." she chuckled. "To think she would have time to make friends as team leader of WRBY."
Ruby blinked. "Um Miss Schnee. I'm the team leader of RWBY, not WRBY."
"Wait really? But she wrote letters...oh." Willow frowned. 'She lied to me? Oh I'm going to give her an earful later!'
"You mean she told you she was the leader?" Ruby said while grumbling. "Oh man, I thought she was past that."
Willow sighed and patted Ruby's head. "Well, let's move past that and wait for her return."
Ruby smiled. "Sure, oh! Are you a fan of video games?"
"No, I haven't played a video game in my life." she said before taking out her Scroll and pulled out a Chess app. "But I was a champion chess player in my youth."
The young Huntress paled. "C-Chess?"
"Yes. Chess."
'Oh turds!'
(Later)
Weiss smiled as she went to show her sister to her room, said sibling, a tall fair skinned woman with slate-blue eyes, and long white hair that was tired in the back on her left side, two long bangs on the right side of her face along with a small curled lock of hair down the left just above her shoulder, a F cup chest and wide ass, wearing a white long sleeved coat that went down to her ankles with a single dark blue clasp around the center waist holding it shut, a red jeweled brooch on the collar, a split on her sleeves that went from the shoulder to the elbows, a white pleated sleeveless blouse, a dark blue waistcoat, black forearm length gray trimmed cuffed gloves, white trousers with dark blue garters, gray thigh boots with black detailing around the knees, and had a silver curved sword on her left hip, right next to her with a semi stoic face.
"Weiss, are you sure we should not look for mother? I know she isn't the...best woman in Remnant but leaving her alone might not be a wise idea."
"Don't worry Winter, it's just a quick trip to my room." she said while opening the door, not seeing her mother smirking at a defeated Ruby on the floor, a Scroll right in her hands. "Besides, it's not like she's going to cause any trouble."
"Why is chess so hard!?" cried out Ruby with tears running down her eyes.
"Chess is not hard, but it takes patience and strategy." Willow said with a confident smirk. "Although, it was easy winning against an inexperienced...noob? I think that was the right term."
"Chess is evil!"
"Now, now, you just need practice. Let's play again." She said before noticing the surprised look of her daughters, especially Weiss. "Ah, Winter, Weiss. I was wondering when you would show up. Me and Ruby here were just having a lovely game of chess."
"M-Mother?" Weiss said in shock, as she didn't smell any sign of alcoholic fumes lingering in the air. "Y-You're sober!?"
"Yes, I have been for a month." she said calmly. "I wanted to surprise you and it worked."
"Why!?"
"I wanted to be in your life a little more, so I decided that the happiness of my children was better than a free drink." she said before turning to Ruby. "By the way, you aren't alone with thinking chess is hard. Weiss was so frustrated when I taught her that she threw the board out the window, onto the family butler's head."
"For real?" Ruby asked as Weiss turned red.
"M-Mother!"
Winter sighed. "So you were here with this girl?"
"Yes, and she was a good child." she patted Ruby's head. "And quite the story teller, like how my middle daughter basically lied to me in her letters."
Weiss' face went from bright red to deadly white in an instant as she saw her mother giving her a stern glare. 'How did she f...RUBY!'
"And she also told me she was bored, so I filled the role of babysitter while you two were galavanting somewhere."
"Hey! I'm fifteen!" Ruby pouted. "I don't need a babysitter. Now you're starting to sound like Yang."
"Yang...ah." Willow said while snapping her fingers, not seeing Yang coming back with Blake and Zwei. "The blonde bimbo muscle headed gorilla my daughter keeps writing in her letters. You're related to her?"
"Yes-" she said before seeing Yang's eyes turn deadly red and gripped Weiss' left shoulder tightly. 'Oh no.'
"Weiss? WHAT letters have you been writing?" she asked slowly with a cold tone.
Weiss began to sweat in terror before sprinting away, much to Winter's bewilderment.
"HEY! GET BACK HERE SNOW QUEEN!" Yang roared while running after the Schnee, Blake following after her with Zwei cocking his head in confusion.
"...oh dear." Willow simply said while not expecting that reaction, at all.
(Later)
Weiss, now with a large bump on her head, groaned while sitting on her bed, watching as Yang, Blake and Ruby were busy talking to her sister and mother, with her leader currently sitting on her lap as per her mother's suggestion. 'Ow...damn it Yang. You weren't supposed to know that!'
"So mother, what got you to realize drinking wasn't the best choice?" questioned Winter. "Wanting to be a better parent is fine, but what got it through to you?"
"Simple, I read some of Weiss' letters." She said calmly while petting Ruby on the head like a cat. "Each one sobered me up enough to realize that I've been absent from your lifes for way too long. So I came here to try and reconnect, I even rented a penthouse in Vale for the duration of the Vytal Festival so I can see how my 'leader'." She narrowed her eyes at Weiss. "Lead her team to victory."
"I swear, I put that in before I accepted Ruby as leader." Weiss pouted as Blake shook her head.
"Even then that was rather risky." Blake sighed before seeing Willow staring at her, her bow to be exact. "W-What?"
"Mmmm." She moved her right hand near the bow and poked the bow.
"EEP!"
"Soft. Definitely a faunus trait." She muttered while humming to herself in continuation. "To think my daughter would have a faunus friend. How lucky of her."
"H-How did you know?"
"Simple, I saw the ears droop for a second when your blonde friend got justifiably angry at my daughter." She said as Yang gave Weiss a small glare. "And no I'm not like my husband, I never had any qualms with the faunus and frankly, I would rather have my daughter be friends with a faunus than anyone else in Atlas."
"I-I see." Blake said in surprise while Ruby was currently dozing off from the petting.
"Sleepy..." Ruby yawned while falling back onto Willow's chest.
The mother smiled, not finding it weird, unlike the others. 'Adorable. Just like my little girls when they were younger.'
Weiss looked at the sight of her partner sleeping on her mother's chest and felt a pang of envy in her heart. "Mother, shouldn't you be more bothered by that?"
"About what?"
"My partner is sleeping on your chest."
"Oh that, I don't mind. She's young and judging from her smile." She pointed to Ruby's face. "She's quite content about this arrangement."
Yang chuckled. "Just like when we were younger, but she slept on everyone's lap, including her mom."
"Oh, I see. Maybe I should arrange a meeting with her." Willow said before noticing the grim expression on Yang's face and realized her mistake. "Oh. Oh, I'm so sorry dear for bringing up old wounds. It wasn't my intention."
"No no, it's fine, you didn't know." Yang said quickly while Ruby muttered in her sleep about milk.
"Zzzz...milk...maid...mooo..." she snored while Yang snickered a little.
"That's Ruby for ya, always having weird dreams on the brain."
Weiss rolled her eyes as Winter looked at her with an amused look on her face. "Can someone get her off my mother before-"
Grope.
"Moo..." Ruby muttered while groping Willow's left breast, making the woman blush as Blake facepalmed a little.
"Too late."
"My word." Willow let out in surprise before Yang shook her head.
"She gets grabby when she has those dreams." Yang sighed as she quickly whispered into Ruby's ear. "Hey, sis. Nora's stealing your cookies again."
And cue the girl's eyes opening quickly before noticing where her hand was and turned bright red and quickly zipped onto her bed in embarrassment.
"AHHH! Sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry!" Ruby cried out while hiding her face under her hood. "I didn't mean it! I thought I was in a barn full of cow faunus! I'm so sorry!"
"Wait what?" Blake said in bewilderment. "You thought that...and you went and grabbed at their chest?"
"..." Ruby screamed in embarrassment as she pushed a pillow right into her face, much to Willow mild amusement.
"Don't worry Ruby. I won't hold it against you, it was a mild accident, nothing more." She said while pointing to Winter. "My eldest did it more times than I can count when she was learning to potty train."
"M-MOTHER!" she blushed. "That was years ago!"
"Yet it's relevant in this situation." She said while looking at Ruby. "So calm down and come back down. I won't bite."
Ruby peaked out from her pillow, gulped and jumped down from the bed. "...sorry."
Willow patted her head. "It's fine. Just don't make it a habit in the future."
"Ok..." She said with a pout.
Willow smiled. "Good, by the way, if you are free this weekend. Perhaps you could visit me in Vale for dinner? Same goes to you Winter, Weiss."
"Where at?"
"The penthouse I just bought. It's in the shopping district." She said while Ruby's eyes sparkled a little. "And I want you to be the guest of honor."
"Really?!" Ruby cried out. "I get to be the guest of honor?! Miss Schnee, I'll join you for dinner!"
Weiss and Winter blinked at this quick response as Yang chuckled.
"Just be careful Miss Snow Bird." Yang said while Winter and Weiss glared at her 'nickname' for their mother. "Ruby's been known to steal cookies from the pantry."
"I'll keep that in mind." Willow said while Ruby pouted at Yang.
"Yang!"
(Next Saturday)
-Vale, Shopping District-
"I still can't believe mother even allowed you to join us for a family meal." Weiss muttered while walking next to Ruby, a little disappointed that her sister had gone ahead of them already and left her alone with her partner.
"Why? Don't you want me there?" she tilted her head.
"It's not that, it's just too sudden and last minute. It makes more sense to make plans like this in advance so everything can be ready without any issues." Weiss said while Ruby raised an eyebrow.
"Weiss, dinner's aren't meant to be planned."
"Well in my family they are!"
"I wonder if she has anything carbonated." Ruby muttered.
"I doubt it." she shook her head. "The closest thing would be sparkling water."
"Yuck." Ruby gagged. "That's not real water at all."
"Yes it is Ruby."
"No it's not." Ruby retorted while seeing a rather large penthouse near the end of a rather large chain of hotels, more specifically Love Hotels. "...um...Weiss..."
"What?" she said before seeing Ruby point towards the hotels and turned as red as her partner's cloak. "J-Just ignore them and let's just go!"
"Why?" she asked while a little confused.
"Let's just go!" she yelled while grabbing onto Ruby's left hand and dragged her away, lightly blushing in the process.
(Later)
Knock knock.
"Hello? Miss Schnee?" Ruby said while knocking on the front door. "Are you in there? Hello?"
The door opened up to show a smiling Willow. "Hello Ruby, glad you could make it."
"Same."
"Mother, why did you buy a penthouse in the middle of...the red light district!?"
"The rent was cheap and no one would expect a Schnee here." She said while Ruby and Weiss walked in, seeing that the room was quite furnished with an Atlesian air to it, although seeing Winter snoring on the couch with a pink blanket on her face and her boots hanging from her toes wasn't fitting with the decor. "Dinner will be ready in a bit, please, make yourselves at home."
"Zzzzzzzz."
"What are we having?" asked Ruby.
"An old Atlesian dish. Boiled beef with seasoning and a hint of cut carrots. My father used to make it when I was a little girl." Willow smiled. "And don't worry, it's healthy for you."
Weiss blinked at this, since she usually had that particular meal when her mother was either happy or in a very good mood, but given how certain events occur in her life that aren't that...well received, she hadn't seen her mother cook that dish at all. 'Huh, mother must really be happy about something. I wonder what?'
"Zzzzz...stupid...crow...zzzzz." Winter snored while kicking one of her shoes into the air and turned a little towards the couch's fluffy cotton insides.
'Winter!' Weiss thought in embarrassment. "Why is Winter sleeping...like this?"
"She had a fight with an old crush. A Qrow Branwen if I remember correctly."
"You mean Uncle Qrow?" Ruby asked while Willow blinked.
"...that man was your uncle?"
"Yep."
"...no wonder he had a cape." she muttered to herself. "She was tired after getting knocked into a pole and tripped into a sewer drain."
"Ooooh." Ruby said with a disgusted look on her face. "I'm soooo sorry. Uncle Qrow isn't usually that bad with his semblance."
Willow sighed. "Well, I better get dinner ready. You two can make yourselves comfortable and Weiss."
"Yes?"
"Please don't wake her up with your usual ticking. She might kick you, again." she said while walking to the kitchen, Ruby looked at her partner in confusion.
"Tickling?"
"I...used to tickle my sister's feet every morning." Weiss blushed. "I did it to get a laugh while waking her up since she tended to oversleep when we were young."
"Ah! I understand." Ruby smiled. "I used to jump on Yang's stomach to wake her up."
"You still do that." Weiss deadpanned as Ruby zipped towards Winter and pulled out a feather from one of the pillows as she moved right towards her feet. "Ruby! Don't!"
"Relax." she said while moving the feather near her left big toe.
POW!
"GAH!" Ruby cried out while getting kicked in the face.
"Her feet are very sensitive to touch!" cried Weiss as Winter grumbled in her spot with Ruby rubbing the spot.
"Owie." Ruby groaned while shaking her head a little and frowned. "Ok, that's it! No more tickling."
Weiss sighed before seeing Ruby jumping right onto Winter's-
BAM!
SPLAT!
"GAH!"
Stomach.
"WAKE UP-" Ruby tried to say before getting pinned to the wall by several Glyphs on her arms and legs as Winter, in combat mode, grabbed her two blades and pointed them at Ruby's neck and heart. "AH! Don't kill me!"
"Ruby? What in Remnant are you doing?!" Winter frowned as she let the Glyphs fade away and allowed Ruby to land on the ground.
"I was trying to wake you up." Ruby gulped. "Tickling didn't work so...I jumped on you like I did with my older sister."
Weiss facepalmed while Winter relaxed her guard.
"Well don't do it again. I could have seriously injured you."
Ruby nodded while sighing in relief.
Only for Winter to start tickling her sides.
"But this calls for some old fashioned Schnee revenge." Winter smirked.
"Ahahahahahaha! N-No! Ahahahaha!" Ruby laughed while Weiss was surprised by her elder sister's playfulness.
'Damn it! I want that too!' she thought with envy.
(Later)
Ruby sat next to Weiss as she had dinner with her partner's family, a little bit hesitant due to the fact the boiled beef looked like cafeteria meatloaf and the carrots were her dreaded enemy. 'Come on, you have to eat, you don't wanna be rude and picky.'
As she tried not to gag, she noticed everyone else was eating their meals, in a proper fashion.
'Darn it. Why did it have to be carrots!?' She thought while Willow looked at her with concern.
"Is something the matter?"
"No no, it's fine." Ruby said while looking a little uncomfortable.
She raised an eyebrow. "Are you uncomfortable with the meal?"
"What no, not at all." She said quickly while Willow raised an eyebrow, making her grumble. "Ok maybe...carrots aren't my favorite food."
"Ah, just like my dear children." She nodded while Winter and Weiss blushed in embarrassment. "Picky eaters. Say, if you eat a few of the carrots without gagging or being fussy, I'll let you have some extra ice cream for dessert. Is that alright with you?"
'Wait what?!' Winter and Weiss thought in shock as Ruby's eyes sparkled. 'She never let us do that before! Why now with her?!'
"Deal!" Ruby quickly started to pop several carrots in her mouth, forcing herself to focus on chewing them quickly and not gag before swallowing it down.
Willow chuckled at this while Weiss and Winter felt a little confused and envious of their mother's action.
And when envy pops up in a Schnee, they will act stupidly towards that person or thing.
"Ruby." Weiss said while taking some of Ruby's carrots. "You don't have to force yourself to eat them. I'll take some and eat them for you."
"Weiss." Winter frowned. "Don't steal from the guest. It's rude."
"I was helping my partner!"
"And acting like a child in the process?"
"How is helping supposed to be acting like a child?!"
"Because it impedes the guest's ability to eat." She said sternly while Ruby continued to eat her carrots. "How are they Ruby?"
"Um...good?" she said while trying not to gag as Weiss and Winter looked at her as if she was a lost puppy. "But um...could you two um..."
"What?" asked Weiss while neither she nor Winter noticed that their chests were in Ruby's face.
"Move! You're suffocating me!"
"Oh!" Weiss said while both sisters moved back, making Willow chuckle at their antics.
'This is just like when we had dinner together...by the gods.' Willow thought with a sad expression. 'I really wasted my time with the bottle...still. At least Weiss is with a girl like her, innocent and cute. What girl can say that their best friend is that cute?'
Ruby sighed before going back to eating her meal.
(Later)
Ruby blinked while looking at the chocolate ice cream on her bowl, then at the three Schnees, before raising an eyebrow, something Winter noticed.
"Is something wrong?"
"Oh. It's just I'm surprised."
"About what exactly?"
"That you guys like chocolate ice cream." Ruby admitted. "Like I thought you liked vanilla since you have...white hair and white clothes and white semblances."
Weiss facepalmed. "Ruby, just because we are associated with the color white doesn't mean we LIKE vanilla ice cream. That would be like if you only liked red velvet cake because you have red hair and red clothing!"
"Sorry!" Ruby pouted. "It wasn't my intention to get you angry!"
Weiss sighed. "Well, at least you know now."
"True...so Weiss. I have a question."
"Shoot."
"Um...it's going to be a stupid one so don't get angry."
"I won't get angry." 'Besides, her questions are annoying but manageable.'
"How old was your mom when she had her growth spurt?" she asked while Willow, Winter and Weiss did a spit take.
"What?!" Weiss let out with a blush and glare.
"Ah! I'm sorry! It popped in my head and I couldn't help but ask!" Ruby blushed as Winter coughed.
"That was absolutely rude!" Weiss glared.
"Sorry!"
Willow coughed while shaking her head a little. "I had my first growth spurt when I was about your age, Ruby. But next time, try and ask those kinds of questions when we aren't eating."
"Sorry..." Ruby pouted as Willow sighed.
"It's fine, you were just curious." she smiled. "Now, since we are on the matter of growth, I think it would be best if you start visiting us after classes. To get to know the Schnees a little more and." she pointed to Weiss. "So I can hear all the stories you and my daughter have been in at Beacon, especially the ones involving your team."
"Really? I don't want to intrude."
"It won't. Besides, you are my daughter's partner, meaning you are already part of the family in a way." Willow chuckled as Weiss lightly blushed.
"Mother." she grumbled.
"Thank you." Ruby said with a smile. "Really, thanks. I mean...it's kinda nice having a second family here. Not saying my team is bad or anything, but...it's kinda nice having Weiss as a sister."
Winter blinked while seeing her younger sister look away in embarrassment, then looked at Ruby with a small smile forming on her lips. 'I see, even the niece of that old bird can get lonely. Well...I don't mind playing the part of older sister, as long as she tries not to interfere with Atlesian affairs that is.'
"Wait." Ruby said before pointing to Willow. "What time is it?"
"Nine pm."
"Shoot! Weiss, we missed the bullhead back to Beacon!"
"...Ruby." Weiss grumbled. "You can stay here, I mean we can't get back so why not...stay with mother. I'll text Blake about the mishap."
"The guest rooms are a little clamped." Willow sweatdropped. "But if you want, you can sleep with me tonight, my bed has enough room for two."
That made the girls go wide eyed with Ruby blushing.
"Um...what?"
Willow saw their shocked expressions and rolled her eyes. "I mean like a parent with their child. Really, my own daughters think I'm that degenerate?"
Winter and Weiss blushed while Ruby felt a little mixed about the entire situation.
On the one hand this was an older woman, the mother of her partner, wanting to sleep with her.
On the other hand, she is a motherly figure that wants to help make Ruby feel safe tonight, something she's been lacking in her childhood for some time.
Overall...she really didn't know WHAT to say or do in this situation.
So she just stayed silent and resumed eating the dessert.
(Later on)
Ruby yawned while currently brushing her teeth in the bathroom, all the while the Schnee sisters were busy confronting their mother about a single topic.
"Mother." Weiss frowned while in her pajamas, her mother currently drinking a glass of water. "Why are you acting like a doting mother to MY partner?"
"And why should I tell you my reasoning?"
"Because it's something that makes NO sense to me of course!"
"I concur." Winter said while in her standard issue Atlesian Military sleepwear. "It is...unusual of you to have any dolting feelings to anyone outside the family."
Willow sighed. "Perhaps I want to be a mother to Ruby. She is like you and Weiss at her age and..." she placed the glass of water on a nearby table. "I just feel like I should give her a maternal figure, on account that her mother is deceased."
"Yang fills that role." Weiss said quickly.
"I see, but even then, your blond friend only has so much time to be a mother to her. I have experience with children, some bad and some good, making me the perfect person to give her a chance at being a mother, even if I'm not related to her by blood." Willow said with a hint of sadness in her tone. "I know you two might be a little envious of my actions, but I mean it with pure intentions in mind."
Winter frowned. "Like how you drank your sorrows away."
"Winter!" Weiss yelled while Willow shook her head.
"I was a bad parent, that I admit, but I'm willing to change just to help someone in need." she said while looking at Winter. "And you can hate me all you want, but I still care for both you and your sister and brother equally. Nothing can change that."
"W-I don't hate you! It's just...hard to let go of all the memories." Winter said in shock. "I mean it was...always bottles and wine."
"Not this time." Willow said calmly. "As I told you when we got to Vale, I went sober. I'm staying away from the stuff, because I want to reconnect with my family."
Weiss sighed heavily. "Look, I'm just worried about my partner. She might get the wrong idea if you...sleep with her."
"So...are you trying to convey to me that you like her more than a friend?"
"What?! O-Of course not!" Weiss blushed red. "W-Why would I think of that dolt like that!?"
"Oh?" Willow said while Winter took notice of her sister's expression. "I see, so you didn't find a suitor here. Well, that's disappointing, especially when I would've been excited at the prospect of you being in love with your team leader."
"Don't be crazy! The day I like that girl is the day Jaune becomes a ladies man!"
"You mean the one dating Pyrrha Nikos?" asked Winter as Weiss blinked.
"Um...what?"
"I heard this while talking to the headmaster, apparently Pyrrha Nikos and a boy named Jaune, the same one you wrote to me as being a 'crazy stalker suitor', were dating since their first year." she said while Weiss blinked in shock. "So if that is the case, you are more than willing to like a girl."
"Wait, they're dating?!"
"Yes."
"B-But he was trying to date me!"
"Apparently not anymore."
Weiss blinked in realization as she saw her mother smirk.
"Looks like your words came back to bite you in the butt. So, ready to admit you like your partner now or should I wait until after breakfast tomorrow?"
"Of course I don't like her!" Weiss blushed.
"I see." Winter said with a nod. "Then perhaps I should tell Whitley about her? Or maybe take her under my wing?"
"HANDS OFF!" Weiss snapped in rage. "NO ONE TOUCHES MY PARTNER BUT ME!"
That made Winter and Willow raise an eyebrow each at her.
And cue Ruby, who heard the yelling from the bathroom, zipping into the room.
"Weiss? What happened?" she asked while very much confused as Weiss' face was now bright red with embarrassment.
"Nothing!" She blushed. "J-Just go to bed!"
"Are you sure? You were talking about me, your partner."
"It's nothing!" she blushed while Willow and Winter chuckled at her expense, Ruby looking confused but walked away to brush her teeth.
'Weird.'
(A few weeks later)
-Beacon Academy, RWBY's Room-
"Hey Weiss." Yang said while the girl was busy finishing her homework.
"Yes?"
"Is it just me." she said while pointing to Ruby, who was covered from head to toe with soft Beowolf plushies. "Or is your mom trying to coddle my baby sis?"
"It's just you." grumbled Weiss.
"Yet she comes here every day asking if Ruby was ok, if she had enough to eat and gives her plushies." Yang said while Ruby tried to get out of the pile a few feet deep. "If that's not coddling then I'm not a Xiao Long."
Weiss grumbled. "...maybe she is coddling Ruby, but she's a mother. It happens sometimes."
"So the fact that she brought cake." Blake said while pointing to the pink box on the table near Weiss' left elbow. "With the words 'To Ruby Rose Schnee, Future Daughter In Law and Wife of Weiss Schnee' in pink frosting is perfectly normal?"
"...she's eccentric."
Blake deadpanned. "Like you?"
"Just ignore it!"
Ruby poked her head out of the pile of plushies. "Ah! Finally, I can breathe. Oh and Weiss, I just got a text message from your mom."
"Wait, how did you get her number?"
"We exchanged numbers yesterday. Anyway, she wants to go to the festival, before our first match. Have some fun and she's bringing your sister with us." Ruby said while Weiss blinked in surprise at this sudden update.
"Why didn't she tell me this?"
Ruby shrugged. "Maybe you didn't read your Scroll?"
"...true, but I should be the first to know." Weiss grumbled while Blake looked at her with sympathy.
"Don't worry, sometimes parents forget." She said before Yang looked at her with a sad frown on her face.
"Yeah...they forget." Yang said while not noticing a raven looking at her from the window, although Blake noticed and felt her predatory instincts kick in.
"Hang on, I gotta take care of something." Blake said before jumping towards the raven.
"Caw." It said without amusement in its tone before flying away from the perch.
Blake blinked, looked down to see the four foot drop she happened to be hovering over, before turning to Yang, who smirked at her, and began falling. "I REGRET NOTHING!"
SPLAT!
"I'm ok!"
(The next day)
-Vytal Festival Fair Grounds-
Weiss sighed while trying to find her mother and sister, her partner looking around in awe at the games and food stands from all over the world, like a child at a candy factory. "Ruby, try not to wander off, got it?"
"Ok." She smiled while running around the girl. "Hey Weiss, want to hold hands so that doesn't happen?"
And cue the Schnee's trademark blush forming on her flabbergasted face, since she only heard the first part and not the second part of the conversation.
"W-W-What?!"
"Yeah, we should hold hands." Ruby said while moving closer to Weiss and held her right hand with her left hand. "See, now we don't have to get separated."
But for Weiss, who didn't see her mother and sister walking towards them, her brain was having a very hard reboot.
She looked down nervously while her heart beat faster. 'Oh gods...why is this making me blush?! She's just a partner, I don't like her like that!'
"Ah. Ruby." Willow smiled. "Good to see you again."
"Hi Willow, hi Winter!" Ruby called out while Weiss was still rebooting her brain. "Ready for some fun?"
"Yes, but why are you holding her hand?" Winter asked while pointing to Weiss.
"Oh, we're holding hands so I don't get lost." Ruby said innocently. "And I think Weiss is happy because of it."
"Oh I'm sure she's VERY happy about it." Winter said before poking Weiss on the nose, getting her attention. "Welcome back Weiss, how was your trip to snooze land?"
"Winter!" She cried out in shock. "Whe-"
"Just now, so." She said while pointing to Ruby. "Did you tell her how possessive you were?"
"Eh?" Ruby said in confusion as Weiss glared at her sister.
"I am not."
"Then why are you holding onto her like a plushie?" Winter asked as Weiss only noticed that she was hugging Ruby tightly, said girl turning blue in the face in the process.
"Can't...breath..."
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" Weiss cried out while letting go, Willow taking this opportunity to make sure the girl was ok.
"Ah! Oh gods...that was...painful."
"Breath slowly now." She said while rubbing Ruby's back.
Ruby did so and smiled at the older woman. "Thanks mom."
And just like that, time froze for the four women as Ruby realized her mistake quickly.
"Ah! I mean Willow!" She said while Willow looked at her with mixed emotions. "Yeah, sorry."
Willow looked at her before giving her a hug. "Mom is fine dear, you don't have to be formal with me."
Winter and Weiss jaw dropped at this while Weiss moved her older sister to the side, to avoid the 'cuteness' that was her partner's shocked expression.
"Winter." Weiss said coldly. "I know about the gifts you sent Ruby this week. And the training."
The older lieutenant coughed before straightening herself up and said calmly. "And? What is your grievance about that?"
"You do the same things with me!" She whispered angrily. "You would give me gifts and train me so I am 'forced' to give you hugs. Not saying it's a bad thing but I don't know why you do that to my partner?!"
"...I don't know." She said honestly. "I just feel compelled to do things for her. It's like she's a big sister magnet."
"First mother and now you!? Is Whitley in on this too!?"
"What no. I never told him about Ruby." She said quickly. "And even if I did, I doubt he would visit on account of his distaste for Hunters."
"True, but why are you and mother trying to take my partner! One Schnee is enough!"
"Yet it feels like the right thing to do." Winter said. "After all, she only has so many people in her life that are parental or sibling-like. Her father was a drunk, her uncle was a drunk and an asshole, her sister was a party animal, and her step mother never came to see her, at all. I read the documentations in her transcripts, she is desperately in need of a maternal and true sibling figure in her life. And I will provide the latter to her, even if it makes you uncomfortable, Weiss."
"That sounds like a half baked excuse!"
"And yet you give me the same excuses when you are infatuated with the girl." Winter retorted. "I saw how protective you are to her, glaring at anyone that moved and even giving me a death glare. If you're trying to keep me from staying away from your little girlfriend then you're in for another thing coming. I will be her older sister in law and possibly her 'girlfriend' if you don't take initiative and tell her your feelings."
Weiss stuttered while turning bright red. "W-WHAT?!"
"You heard me."
"But Ruby is mine!" She yelled in anger, her temper taking over her along with her pride as a partner. "I won't share or let anyone take her!"
Both glared at the other while Willow kept on hugging Ruby, who was very much embarrassed at the whole thing.
"Do you want any snacks Ruby?" Willow asked as Ruby nodded.
"Yes please."
"What kind?"
"Mmm...cookies or strawberries."
"How about both?"
"Ok." She said while Willow walked her away.
"Wait." Winter said while finally getting away from her stare down with Weiss and noticed something was off. "Where's mother and Ruby?"
"Did they walk off, without us?" Weiss asked with a worried tone.
"Perhaps, or someone took them."
"Ruby can take care of herself."
"But not mother, she's not a Huntress remember?"
"...oh no." she went wide eyed.
"I'm sure they are fine. They must have wandered off to look at the stands." Winter said while getting a report from her Scroll, making her pale.
"Winter?"
"We might have a problem." she said while showing an image of a familiar multicolored hair girl, who was in a wanted portrait with a 'High Danger' label on the top in red letters. "Apparently one of Torchwick's accomplices has infiltrated the festival."
"Wait, that's the girl that attacked us on the train! Oh gods, if she finds Ruby...oh gods!" Weiss yelled in panic.

Neo smirked while she, disguised as Ruby Rose due to personal preferences, walked around pickpocketing several people with a sleight of hand, really enjoying a relaxing break from the 'invasion' planning.
However, as she turned a corner, she noticed 'Little Red' walking around with a Schnee, which made her frown before getting an idea.
Why not take revenge on Ruby Rose for ruining her boss' plans by ruining her good name?
"Yum." Ruby smiled while licking a strawberry and cookie n cream ice cream sugar cone, one Willow bought for her, as the older woman smiled happily. "Thank you."
"It was no trouble dear, it'd be silly to hold back on enjoying the festival and what it provides." Willow smiled while watching Ruby eat her ice cream. 'Sigh, just like Winter when she was her age.'
Ruby kept on eating the ice cream as Neo moved closer to the girl, making sure to use her semblance to prevent any witnesses from seeing the act, before yanking the cone out of the silver eye's hands and throwing it on the ground. "E-Eh!? M-My ice cream!?"
Neo silently snickered while not noticing the very angry Schnee looking at her or the fact that in her amusement, she forgot to cover herself again in her semblance, leaving her a sitting duck to a very unhappy maternal figure.
"You."
The girl paled and darted her eyes towards the woman as several Glyphs appeared right near her face, all forming ice fists. "..."
"Suffer." spoke Willow in a cold tone before the fists easily swarmed Neo and decked her from every angle.
This in turn caused the semblance to crack along with her aura as she held her bloody nose in pain, just as Ruby took notice.
"Wait, you! You nearly killed Weiss!"
Neo paled before getting punched in the jaw and sent flying into the horizon.

"Where is she?" Emerald muttered while Mercury was busy kicking some cans around. "She was supposed to meet back here an hour ago."
"Maybe she's snacking on something?"
CRASH!
And cue Emerald getting knocked out by a falling Neo's ass, much to Mercury's shock.
"...huh, it's raining killer midgets." he muttered as Neo groaned in pain.
(Back with Ruby and Willow)
Willow sighed as she deactivated her semblance and saw Ruby was still looking at the ice cream cone splattered on the ground. "Don't worry Ruby, I can get you another one."
"My ice cream..." Ruby said sadly.
"Don't worry, I will get you a new one."
"...really?"
"Yes, you're like a daughter to me. I wouldn't let anyone in my family be sad on a day like this."
"Willow!" Weiss called out while she and Winter ran towards them. "What happened? Why did you leave? And why is Ruby crying!?"
"Oh, she had her ice cream thrown to the ground by a ruffian." she frowned. "But she was dealt with and I was about to buy her another ice cream cone to make it up to her."
"Wait, was the girl short, had weird eyes and had an umbrella?" Winter asked with a serious tone.
"Yes, but she was in the form of Ruby here, a semblance perhaps."
"...mother." Winter frowned. "You should've let me handle it."
"And let the girl ruin my future daughter in law's day? That is out of the question."
"I wasn't referring to Ruby, I was referring to you! What if this girl tried to attack you, or worse, injured you!"
"You two worry too much. I'm not some damsel in distress." Willow frowned. "I'm a miner's daughter, I'm more than capable of defending myself."
"Yet you scared us half to death, you SCARED me half to death!" Winter snapped. "I might not like you but I don't want to see you injured or hurt."
She blinked while sighing and patted Winter's head. "Oh my little Winter, you really are protective of me, in your unique way."
Weiss ran over to Ruby and gave her a hug that caused the silver eyed girl to snap out of her slump.
"Oh! Hey Weiss, when did you get here?"
"Just now you dolt!" she snapped while hugging her tightly. "And I was so worried about you! Did that shortstack freak hurt you!?"
"Um no. Just my pride." Ruby said while feeling the life slowly squeezed out of her body.
"Good." she whispered in Ruby's ears while thinking out loud. "If she did hurt my partner, MY Ruby, I would've shoved ice Dust right up her ass!"
"Wait...how am I 'your Ruby'?"
Weiss turned beet red and quickly broke the hug. "Y-Y-You misheard! I said you're my partner!"
"No, I heard you say 'My Ruby'." Ruby said while Weiss felt like her body was melting from embarrassment. "So...what did that mean?"
"I-I-I-"
Willow turned to Ruby and chuckled. "It means my daughter has become possessive of you, her partner and possible suitor."
"MOTHER!"
"Wait...like what Jaune tried to do with Weiss? Like...like like?" Ruby asked while her cheeks turned pink.
"That's right."
Ruby's face turned bright red while she started to run around, semblance activated, as she felt very embarrassed in the process. "OH MY GODS OH MY GODS OH MY GODS!"
But when her aura finally gave out, like in a few short minutes, she crashed landed into-
Boing~
Winter's chest.
"Ah! I'm so sorry!" Ruby cried out before tripping on her cape and-
BOM!
Fell face first onto Willow's ass.
"Oh my!"
"Eep! I'm so sorry!" she cried out before moving back and turned-
BAM!
Right into Weiss' midsection by accident, knocking her out in the process.
This whole thing led to the Schness turning red in the face.
"Damn it you dolt." Weiss blushed while looking a little mad. "And mother, why did you tell her!?"
"Because I felt like it would speed things up a little." Willow said with a bright blush on her face, her older daughter trying to calm herself down a little and failing on account of being headbutted in the chest. "That way, you can date her, have her marry into the family and me and Winter can have a daughter and sister to spoil."
"What makes you think it would ever get that far?!"
"Hmmm, well if you don't want to marry her, Winter?"
"What!? No! She has Ruby's drunk uncle to date!? Leave my partner out of it!"
"Me and that old drunk aren't in a relationship." Winter frowned. "And if you don't date Ruby then I shall take the opportunity to be her 'girlfriend' until you change your mind."
"I will not allow that Winter!"
"Then perhaps we better make it a competition to see who will accomplish it." Willow said with a small smirk. "If Winter becomes Ruby's suitor then she becomes the heiress and the only one to spoil her. If you become her suitor Weiss, you will become the heiress and spoil Ruby rotten."
"And you mother?" Winter asked.
"Oh that. I don't want her hand in marriage, even if it should be a good idea." She muttered the last part herself. "No, I just want to be her mother and spoil her rotten. No matter who wins, I still have a daughter in law to spoil, so I consider it a win for me."
Both sisters sweatdropped at that.
"You will have a year or two to complete it. If either of you can get her love, then she will be your fated bride."
"Acceptable." spoke Winter.
"...fine." Weiss grumbled. "But only because I don't want my sister to marry her. She is-"
"My partner." Winter interrupted with a sigh. "We know. You said it a hundred times already."
She huffed while Ruby groaned in her knocked out state.
"Mom...bright...gold...light...coming..." she said while Weiss paled.
"No you dolt! Don't follow the light!" She got down on her knees and tried shaking the girl.
"Light...cookies..."
"Ruby no!" she yelled while shaking the girl harder. "Don't follow the light! Follow my voice!"
"..." Ruby shook her head and blinked. "What happened? And where's the angelic white haired cookie fairies?"
"You passed out."
"Oh...but it felt so real." Ruby admitted while still very much confused.
GROWL!
"..." Ruby blushed as her stomach growled in front of the Schnees. "Sorry."
Weiss shook her head at that. "Dolt."
"I think it's time to give Ruby some lunch." Willow chuckled. "And this time, we'll stay together."
"This time I'll pay for lunch." Winter interjected.
"Wait no! I'll pay for it!" Weiss yelled.
"Didn't father freeze your account?"
"...what? When did that happen?!" Weiss yelled in shock while Willow sighed.
"I'll pay for the meal." She said while helping Ruby to her feet. "Don't worry dear, they always want to be on top and proper in front of others."
"I figured." Ruby chuckled.
"But here's a secret." Willow chuckled. "They always get flustered by cute and adorable things. Like rabbits or people with honest souls."
"Really?"
Willow nodded. "So if you show them a rabbit, they will break their own facades and act like little girls."
'Ooooh, blackmail~' Ruby thought with a smirk before deciding to test it by pulling out her Scroll and pulling out a picture of Zwei, showing off his butt, and coughed. "Hey Weiss, Winter! Look at this!"
Both turned and saw the picture, which made them blink before fawning over the cute dog.
'Wow, that was quick.' Ruby thought in surprise while getting squashed by the two sister's bodies pressing against her body. 'Gah! Not again!'
"Zwei's little behind is adorable!" Weiss cooed.
"I must admit, this dog is adorable. I wouldn't mind adopting it." Winter smiled while Ruby groaned.
'Is this going to be my life? Being squashed by my best friend and her sister everytime I show them Zwei?' She thought while Willow chuckled. 'And in public too?!'
'Adorable. She's definitely going to make a fine daughter in law.'
To be continued.
