"I didn't think we'd get this lost." Loke said.
"I'm sorry. I really don't know about the castles structure." Yukino said.
"We can't just keep walking around." Natsu declared. "We could run into soldiers. And with the injured here, it would only make it harder."
"And our guild is fighting in the Grand Magic Games as well." Mirajane added. "It's a tournament sponsored by the king. We should probably try to not leave a bad impression."
"I'm pretty sure we did that when we beat the executioners." Wendy said with a sweat drop.
Lucy stared at the unconscious body of Fae. "Don't worry, I'm sure she's just tired." Loke said. "Besides, even if she is a beautiful lady, I'll always love you."
"Read the room." Carla declared.
Loke suddenly flinched at the glare he felt from Natsu. "You don't touch her, understand?" He growled, scaring the spirit.
Fae groaned as she woke up, catching everyone's attention. "You okay, Fae?" Happy asked.
"Where am I?" The girl asked.
"It looks like a dining hall of some kind." Pantherlily said.
"So we're still in the castle." She mumbled. "From what my mom told me, after you all escaped from the Hell Palace, the army came and captured you all. That's why we need to let them know first."
"Let them know what?" Natsu asked, leaning into his daughter. "Why'd you even come back here?
"To change... the worst future." Fae said as she stood up.
"The worst future?" Mirajane asked in confusion.
"What happened in the future you know?" Yukino asked.
"A thunder of 10,000 dragons will come tomorrow... and destroy everything in this country." The girl explained, shocking everyone from the present.
"...We're all gonna die!" Happy shouted in a panic.
"Ten thousand dragons..." Mirajane mumbled in worry.
"Could it be somehow connected to that graveyard we found?" Wendy asked.
"I wonder." Carla added.
"So what do we do now?" Lucy asked.
"We prepare for the worst." Natsu declared. "Or at the very least, find a way to prevent this from happening."
"You... you believe me?" Fae asked in surprised.
"You're my daughter, why wouldn't I believe you?" He asked back.
Fae had a small smirk on her face, catching Lucy's attention. "Wow, you really should smile more." She said.
"I guess..." Fae said back. "Then again, there isn't much in my time worth smiling about. Once I was old enough, I started looking for something to undo this horror. When I found out about the Eclipse, I finally had some hope. It took me over two years to find all the keys, and then another to find the gate. Once I found it, I used it, and it sent me back to July Forth of the year X791."
"But that was just a few days ago." Loke pointed out.
"I thought the plan was to go back four hundred years to kill Zeref?" Wendy asked.
"I don't know about that." Fae replied. "A part of it was broken, so maybe that's why I only could come back this far."
"Either way, we need to get out of here." Natsu stated. "There are survalence lacrima all over the city. If we go underground, we can meet up with the rest of my guild. There we can come up with a plan." He turned back to his daughter and offered a hand. "We'll figure something out together. Now, let's go save the future."
Tears in her eyes, she took the hand and was pulled into a hug. "Okay... dad."
Everyone but Mirajane smiled at the scene before she coughed. "We need to get out of here before anyone finds us." She said, catching everyone's attention.
"Follow me." Fae said as she left her father's grasp. She started running down the hall and the others followed her.
"How'd you know about this path?" Natsu asked.
"I spent some time studying this building before I came back here." She said with pride. "I have this whole place memorized."
"She's certainly smart, I'll give her that." Carla said.
"We need to get out of here fast so we can send a signal to the others." Mirajane said.
"I'm sure the others are worried about us." Wendy added.
They exited the hall and turned, only to find the entire Royal Army charging at them. "The whole army? I didn't know they would be here." Fae said.
"Don't worry. We'll get out of here." Natsu said, dropping into a fighting stance.
"Just like old times, right?" Loke chuckled as he fixed his tie.
"Guys, Arcadios and Yukino are gone!" Wendy declared, shocking the group.
"Why would they go off on their own?" Lucy asked as the army closed in.
"I don't care about that knight, but I can't leave Yukino alone! I'm going back!" Mirajane said as she raced back into the castle. "Try not to die everyone!"
"Ready, Loke?" Natsu asked.
"Absolutely." Loke said.
"Don't think I'm gonna let you have all the fun." Fae said as she tossed her cloak off. A tattered black shirt and vest rested on her skin as a pair of torn blue jeans covered her legs. Combat boots with high heels and a pair of fingerless gloves completed the look. "Let's do this!"
The entire group charged as Natsu picked up one of the army and threw him back into the squad. Fae gripped a spear with her left arm and her other one started glowing, growing reptilian scales and claws. "Sorry." She pulled it back and punched the man back, sending him into the two behind him. Loke kicked another back as Pantherlily swung his sword and Virgo kicked another back.
"Damn it, these kids are tough." One guard mumbled.
"Call in the Anti-Magic unit!" Another shouted. "We cannot let them pass!"
A ring called out before a shot hit Fae from behind, making her turn around. "Anti-Magic war units?"
"We won't let you do as you please!" One said as they fired another shot.
Natsu stepped in front and punched the shot, making it fade. "Magic like that and you think you're a specialist?" He chuckled. "Let me show you how it's really done!" He ignited his own fist and punched forward, sending a barrage of fire at the robed soldiers. They turned and ran only for the shot to hit, making a small explosion.
"Regulus Impact!" Loke punched forward and a blast rocked the soldiers. Wendy pulled her head back and unleashed a tornado from her mouth.
"Just how many are there?" Lucy asked as she backed into Fae.
"We shouldn't have taken this way." The time traveler mumbled.
Pantherlily lost his footing as the ground turned to mush. He grabbed Carla and Happy and rolled to the side, a wave of acid blowing past them. "How's it going, kitty cat?" Neeba mockingly asked.
"You again!?" The larger cat complained.
Plants rose out of the ground and unwrapped to reveal Cosmos as Kamika reformed next to her. "Don't underestimate the kingdom's executioners." The paper mage declared.
"Lucky for us, the She-Devil isn't here." Cosmos chuckled.
"I understand your philosophy." Natsu turned around and stared as Kusai walked forward. "But now you will hear mine. I will not allow sinners like you to escape this castle. Your heads will be mine."
"Again with this nonsense." Natsu mumbled as he dropped into a fighting stance. He charged and threw a flaming punch at the scythe user, only for a strong wind to push him back. "The hell?"
"You're my prey, dragon boy." Uosuke declared. "Terrain Effect: Scorching Wind Zone!" Blazing wind flew at Natsu, who stood his ground and let the attack hit him. "...Huh?"
"Did you really think a little hot air would do anything to me?" He asked as he pulled his head back. "Fire Dragon Roar!" He unleashed an inferno from his mouth, only for the attack to hit large chunks of ice. "Okay, this might be a challenge."
"Ya know, ya could make this easier and just give up." Uosuke teased.
"And have you kill me and my friends?" Natsu asked back, igniting his fists. "Not gonna happen. I don't care how many people I have to go through. We will make it out of here, and that's that. You might slow us down, but you cannot stop us!"
Wendy jumped out of the way of a wall of acid, making Neepa chuckle. "Is it true a kid like you is really a dragon slayer?"
"Why do you care if I am?" Wendy asked as she landed. The drinker punched the ground and a pillar of acid rose up, forcing Wendy to jump up. "Sky Dragon Wing Attack!"
Blades of wind cut through the pillar, making Neepa laugh. "Cause this just got a whole lot more fun for me."
"Paper Blizzard: Red Dance!" Kamika threw shards of red paper at Fae and Lucy, who summoned Scorpio and blocked the attack. "Paper Blizzard: Yellow Dance!" Lightning arced from her yellow shards and forced Fae to jump back.
"Why are you going after me!?" Fae shouted as she charged forward. She threw a punch at the executioner, only for the girl to turn to paper and appear behind her.
"You look like the She-Devil. So you will suffer in her place!" Kamika declared as she pulled out even more paper.
Gritting her teeth, Fae glanced over to the side and found Loke flirting with Cosmos. "This is not the time, idiot!" She shouted, only to be hit by Loke as Cosmos sent the spirit flying.
"I find men like you revolting." The plant user said. "Your existence only cheapens true beauty. You should just die. Spore Bomb: Rinka Ranka!" Giant spores shot forward and forced the two to roll to the side.
Pantherlily swung his sword and blocked Kusai's blade, forcing the two to look at each other. "The rumors say you used to be a soldier." The executioner said, a snarl in his voice. "Why did you shirk your duties?"
"Someone like you could never understand what happened." Lily said as he pushed against him.
"Let me guess: you felt that your kingdom lost its moral compass." Kusai teased.
"Bite your tongue!" Lily shouted. "I will not have you insulting Edolas!" He pushed forward and the two were forced to separate.
Natsu punched a soldier back as he looked out the window, seeing the sun start to set. "Does anyone know what time it is?"
"It has to be night by now." Lucy said.
"The games should be over." Happy added.
"We can't keep wasting time here. We need to get moving, now!" Natsu shouted as he jumped back from a chunk of ice. "Damn it, this guy is annoying."
Vines shot up and wrapped around Fae's arms, making Kamika smirk. "Thanks Cosmos. Now I'll take her head off."
She threw paper saw-blades at her, only for Virgo to pull her down into a pit. "Thanks for that, weird maid lady."
"It is not a problem." She replied.
A cloud of smoke covered Pantherlily as he dropped to the ground. "Shit! My battle form!"
"Kill them all!" Kamika shouted, making the troops charge in.
"We're not gonna last." Loke mumbled as he blocked a punch.
"Surrender, sinners!" Kusai shouted, angering Natsu. A swath of smoke suddenly filled the hallway, making everyone cover their faces. "What is this?"
All the soldiers blocked their eyes and started swinging their swords, hitting absolutely nothing. The smoke pushed past them and swallowed them, seemingly taking the troops with them. The Garou Knights were swallowed as well, blowing past the group. "What the hell?" Natsu asked in surprise.
"Stay back, something is off..." Loke said as he dropped into a fighting stance.
"Don't worry. We'll be safe." Fae said.
A man walked forward, his face looking just like Natsu's. His eyes were blue and his hair was white, just like Lisanna and Mira's. The man was heavily muscled, almost ripping out of his clothing. As he walked a grey-blue coat hung off his shoulders, seemingly made of shed dragon scales. His shirt and long pants seemed to be made from the same material, though these scales were dark blue. The shoes he wore seemed military in style; sandals with white cotton socks underneath. "Hello again, Fae."
"Myrdak." Fae said with a smile. She raced forward and hugged the man, making him do the same. "Come on." She lead him forward and reached Natsu, taking his hand and putting it into Myrdak. "Dad, meet my twin brother."
Natsu stared in shock before his son hugged him, tears in Myrdak's eyes. "Thank you... you saved us and mother." Natsu slowly raised his hand and hugged him as well, rubbing his back.
"So did you come back to help Fae?" Happy asked.
The pair seperated and the boy nodded. "Yes, and we do that by opening the Eclipse Gate and utilizing its secondary function. A massive cannon of magical energy to wipe out the thunder of dragons."
"Then let's get to it!" Lucy cheered.
"There is, however, one problem." Myrdak replied. "Someone in this time closed the Gate, dooming humanity. In seventeen years, only one percent of the human population remains, hunted by the dragons and their commander. This person doomed the world, and always will, for that is their fate. So I have come to end your life, Lucy Heartfillia!"
He thrust his hand forward and a blast of smoke shot forward, turning into a sword. Fae rushed in front of Lucy and hardened her skin into scales, making the attack push them both back. "The hell is wrong with you!?" She shouted back.
"Stay out of this, Fae." Her brother replied. "If I don't do this, the world is doomed. So I have no-"
A punch to the gut sent him flying back, Natsu standing between his children. "Looks like I need to discipline you. Fine, let's do this, Myrdak." Flames errupted from his fists as he glanced back at the others. "Get out of here, I'll handle this."
"But-"
"Let's go!" Fae shouted, grabbing her hand. "Trust me, whatever is going here you don't want to be in the middle of."
Wendy, Loke and the Exceeds raced after the two women, angering Myrdak. "Get back here, now!" He shouted, charging forward. Natsu slammed his fist forward and a heavy blow hit him in the back of the head. "Stay out of-!" A punch to the face cut him off and sent him sliding back.
"Stay out of my way, dad!" He turned into smoke and floated around the room. "If I kill you know, I will change history for the worst. So I'll just hurt you really bad."
"There's no way someone raised by Lisanna could end up like this." Natsu mumbled, looking around. "What happened to you?"
"Time changes people." His son chuckled, forming solid behind him. "But I guess you wouldn't understand that since you weren't there!" He pulled his arm back and blasted his father, making him slide back.
"You might be my son, but I don't like how you do things." Natsu declared, glaring at him. "We're gonna save the future our way!" The two charged again and swung their arms, creating an explosion of fire and smoke that pushed them back again. "You can try and fool me, but I know a lie when I hear one. Why are you actually back here?"
"I'm here to save the world. And if you don't believe me, that's your problem!" Myrdak shouted back.
A ringing noise caught their attention as the building began shaking. "What's happening?" Natsu asked.
"The Eclipse is opening." Myrdak said, charging forward. "The Gate opened without killing her, but Lucy will get in the way!" He slammed his forearm into Natsu and cracked him in the face, sending his father sliding back. "She is destined to close the door!"
"I know her!" Natsu shouted, charging again. "She would never crush anyone's future."
"Stand aside!" Myrdak raised his hands and mist shot up, blinding Natsu enough for an uppercut to send him towards the ceiling. "Lucy has to die."
"That won't happen!" Natsu flipped over and jumped off the tiles, scales growing on his body. Myrdak looked in shock before getting hit by a blow. The impact shattered the ground and split the tile that survived, pushing the time traveler back.
"Dragon Force… So that's your little trick..." His son said as he came to a stop. "It still won't be enough." He opened his eyes and a blinding light forced Natsu to stop his assault. "Take-Over!" Myrdak declared as the glow died. His hair started whipping around and faded into smoke as grey scales covered his arms. Twin horns popped out of his forehead, smoke bellowing out of the tips.
His feet had turned into matching talons as wings of scale and leather popped out of his back. A thin, wispy tail rolled out the back of his pants, small spikes going up. "Mist Dragon." Instantly, he shot forward as a mist-made sword sliced at Natsu's side.
Natsu stumbled back and his scales faded as he gripped his side. "This is the power I need to save the world." Myrdak declared as he started waving his hands in a circular motion. "And if you have to fall, so be it! Mist Dragon Destruction Fog!" He clasped his hands together and a swathing mist flew at his father and surrounded him.
From every direction, spikes of mist shot out and punctured Natsu's flesh. The attack ended and Natsu fell over, his body badly wounded. "I won't kill you. My mother would never forgive me if she knew that."
"Where... did you... get that power?" Natsu groaned out as he pushed himself up.
"My mother taught me Take-Over, and my master granted me countless dragon souls to use." The time traveler replied. "I have created a new power, one unlike anything in this era. Now stay down, or I will be forced to severely injure you."
"Someone like you..." Natsu said, lifting his head. "Could never be... Lisanna's son... You disgrace her name!"
Myrdak's eyes went wide in anger as he clenched his fist. "HOW DARE-"
Hundreds of orbs suddenly appeared around him, cutting him off before they started glowing. "Flash Forward!" Ultear chanted, making the lacrima bombard the time traveler. A white mist escaped the rubble as Ultear recalled her orb.
"He got away!" Sora shouted as the two raced forward. "Hang on!" He summoned his blade and it started glowing green, healing Natsu as he pushed himself up.
"Thanks, Sora." The guild leader said as he stood up.
"Natsu, what are we dealing with exactly?" His wife asked. "Who were you just fighting? Was he the one who told the princess about the dragons? What's going on?"
"It's a family affair." He said, confusing the other two. "Ultear, I have something to tell you. That man I just fought is the unborn son I will have with Lisanna, and the brother to the woman Zancrow meet."
"So then... that one night you had with her in that hut..." Ultear mumbled, lowering her head. "I guess I shouldn't be surprised. She was in suspense for seven years. It makes sense that her children would be born later."
"None of that changes anything." Natsu declared, grabbing her hands. "Whatever I felt for her faded long ago. You are the one love, more than anything." He brushed some hair out of her face and gave a quick kiss on her check, making her smile.
"Ahem." Sora coughed, catching their attention. "As happy as I am you two have this moment, can we get back to the impending apocalypse?"
"You're right." Natsu said, wrapping his cloak around his chest wound. "Have Zancrow and Meredy gotten the others here?"
"They're 'convincing' Doranbolt to borrow his magic and let them come here." Ultear replied. "The army has evacuated the entire city, only the guilds remain to help fight off the dragons that survive the cannon."
"Good, no need to hold back then." Natsu declared, opening his hand as he checked that it was working. "What were about to face is a war. I can't guarantee that you'll survive. If you want to-"
"Like hell I'm running from this fight." Sora cut him off, making the Dragon Slayer smirk.
"In order to beat this guy, I need to go all out." The leader declared. "Let's get going, Crime Sorciere. We have a world to save." The other two nodded and the trio raced out of the building, ready to fight as a tremor shook the building.
Eclipse Gate
"Can you not understand me? I said close the Gate, you royal pain in the ass!" Fae shouted as Lucy and Wendy held her back from punching Hisui in the face.
"I cannot do that!" The princess replied. "If we close it now, we will not be able to defeat the thunder of dragons heading here. The Eclipse Cannon-"
"Is a lie!" The time traveler shouted back. "Take it from someone who's used the damn thing! That thing is nothing more than a door for going from point A to point B in the timeline. And right now, its's locked in on a time when dragons were around."
"How do you know that?" Lucy asked.
"I can smell the dragons from here!" She replied. "Close the Gate now! If you don't we're all-"
A bellowing roar cut her off as a diamond-skinned dragon marched out of the Gate. A single beat from its wings sent the army flying back as it slammed its claw down. The impact tore the ground apart and sent a shockwave deep into the city. "A dragon… came from the Gate." Hisui mumbled in fear.
Two more dragons came out of the portal, the one on the left was fish-like, the one on the right seemed to be burning alive. "How do we close this damn thing!?" Fae asked the terrified princess.
"A Celestial Wizard… has to used the pedestal over there." She replied, pointing to a device near the Gate.
"Lucy, close it!" Fae shouted, making the blonde rush over to the device. The burning dragon unleashed a roar and pushed the blonde back into Wendy as one with an ornate crest on both jaws stepped out.
"I'm not gonna give up!" Lucy shouted as she stood up and raced back to the device.
"The thunder of dragons… will come out of the Gate?" Hisui mumbled as tears started falling from her eyes. A rock dragon stepped out and slammed its mace-like tail into the ground, causing a small tremor. "Because of me… The world will end…"
"Snap out of it!" Fae shouted as a black and red dragon escaped next. "Instead of whining about, think of a way to help us fix this mess!" Lucy pushed on the device with all her power, but the machine refused to budge. "Why isn't working? This wasn't nearly as hard when I did it."
"She must not have enough Celestial Spirit energy to close the door." Arcadios mumbled.
"Then I'll help!" The others looked over to see Yukino and Mirajane running forward. "Lucy, we heed to all twelve keys to close the Gate! That it is the only chance we have to stop the flow of dragons!"
"Let's do it!" The blonde pulled out her keys and both tossed them into the air. The objects began glowing before all twelve spirits appeared behind their respective keys. "I'm counting on you guys!" She said before the Zodiac slammed into the Gate, six on each side. An eighth dragon tried to force itself forward, only for the door to literally be shut in its face.
"THEY DID IT!" The soldiers started cheering and raising their spears in triumph.
"It's too early to celebrate!" Arcadios shouted, killing the mood. "How many dragons managed to come through?"
"I counted seven." Fae said before turning her head at the sound of footsteps.
"You stuck your nose where it didn't belong, didn't you?" Myrdak asked. "Damn it, I guess I have no choice. Seven dragons will have to suffice."
"The hell is wrong with you!?" Fae shouted. "Why are you doing this?"
"I'm doing this to save the world!" Myrdak shouted back. "Naivete will never be enough to stop what's coming. But this will!" He raised his arms and the dragons swarmed behind him. "Hear me, creatures of unrivaled power! Fly into the city! Destroy anyone and anything who stands in your way!"
The creatures roared and took off, heading straight for the city. "No… it can't be.." Fae mumbled in horror. "Where did you learn this power!? From him!?"
"This is a gift from my master." Myrdak declared as a diamond-skinned dragon landed behind him. "Dragon Tamer Magic." He jumped onto the beasts head and stared at the blonde before smirking. "I'll leave you to do as you please, Zirconus." The first dragon to escape the Gate took to the sky, letting Myrdak get a view of the battle.
The dragons roared with power as they shrugged of any attack and retaliated back with deadly force. "What I do today, I do for the greater good." He said to himself. "All those who will die today, I will pray for your souls. May you know peace in-." A scent caught his attention and he turned to the side.
On the top of a building, Natsu stood ready to fight, his cloak acting as a bandage. "Father… I held back on you earlier. I won't make that mistake again!"
The dragon lurched forward and tried to chomp on Natsu, only for the father to jump over the head and land on the beast. He sprinted forward and charged with a flaming body, only to past through mist. He glanced back and shot flames out of his feet, forcing him back. "Stop squabbling, you need to save your energy for your true destiny."
"Dying to save Lisanna doesn't sound so bad." He replied, nipping up. "But it has to be on my terms, not yours!"
The dragon rolled to the side and flung Natsu off, only for him to jump back up. "No matter what you do, it's too late. It's over." Myrdak declared, his body returning to the Mist Dragon Take-Over.
"You ever gonna tell me why you came back here?" Natsu asked taking a glance at the destruction the dragons were causing.
With Fairy Tail
The burning dragon roared and forced the Wizards back, the sheer hear pushing them back. "Stay calm! We need to focus!" Erza shouted.
"Lisanna, stay behind us, no matter what." Elfman told his pregnant sister. "These dragons need a manly sized punishment!"
"I can help!" She shouted back.
"No matter what, this one can't be as bad as Acnologia." Gray replied.
"Foolish creatures! I am the mighty Atlas Flame!" The dragon shouted. "My fire consumes that stands before me. Now prepare to have your lives burned away!" The beast let out a flaming torrent of a roar and blasted them all back. "Still alive? You must be powerful wizards to survive."
"Damn right we are." Makarov declared as he grew in size. "Fairy Tail are no ordinary wizards! The power we share is like none other! Because we are a family!" He slammed his fist forward and hit the creature as hard as he could, only for the flames to burn his hand.
"There is nothing you can do." The dragon declared. "Humans will never defeat a dragon!" No matter what power you use, as long as your humans, you won't be able to defeat a dragon!" He started to spin and the force and heat blasted the giant back and destroyed the ground.
With Natsu
"Seven years…" Myrdak mumbled. "That's all it took for the dragons to become the dominant species on this planet. But it wasn't any of these that came through the Gate. The king of this new world is the Black Dragon of the Apocalypse, Acnologia. There are no guilds to fight him, no wizards to offer resistance, he rules over everything.
"My master created a spell to control dragons, but it didn't work on that thing. So he sided with Acnologia and helped destroy everything. When I was separated from Fae, he took me in. Then after years I meet with her again, and we agreed to find a way to stop this destruction. But then I had a revelation: there IS no stopping Acnologia in my time. But here, with these dragons, I can do it! My master taught me his Dragon Tamer Magic and then sent me back here for his arrival."
"So that's why all these people had to die?" Natsu asked. "Because you think this is the only way?"
"Their sacrifice will ensure a greater tomorrow!" His son replied. "My plan was to convince Princess Hisui to open the door and summon countless dragons. Though to be honest, I'm happy those girls closed the door. I don't have enough control over this magic to use it on more than ten."
"So there's only seven of these things, right?" The father asked. "Looks like you have some rotten luck." His fist ignited in flames and he slammed it down, making the flying beast buckle and cry out in pain. "LISTEN TO ME, FIORE!" He shouted, catching everyone in the city by surprise. "MY NAME IS NATSU DRAGNEEL! I AM A DRAGON SLAYER, AND I WAS BORH FOR THIS! LEAVE THE DRAGONS TO US! FOCUS ON SUPPORT AND DEFENDING THE PEOPLE!"
"Again you insist on standing in my way!" Myrdak shouted as his body glowed. "Take over!" The glow died and now he was coated in yellow scales and wings, but the horns were now more like bolts of lightning in shape. Two tails curled out of his back as an arch of electricity surged between the two. "Lightning Dragon!"
He charged forward and threw a punch, only for Natsu to catch it and counter with a head butt, sending him sliding bacl." "Look, DAD, you can't always solve your problems by going around punching things or breathing fire." He said, wiping his nose of blood. "I get it: you're a Dragon Slayer, so everything's just another dragon to slay. Not Acnologia. He's not just a dragon, he's armageddon! If he decided, he could destroy the world, one continent at a time. Nothing could stop him, not in the future I came from, anyway.
"That's why I have to do this: wrecked or not, the world is safe from Acnologia, where a reasonable, even-tempered, HUMAN hand holds the chain on armageddon. You can't stop the reign of dragons, DAD! Your future is my past: it already happened. Something ruins the world, and it's going to be at least one dragon. It's inevitable. Better for it to happen on OUR terms. The world wouldn't be as wrecked if dumbasses like you just took your medicine."
"That's a lie!" Natsu shouted, slamming his fist forward. "Acnologia is just another living creature! He can be beaten just like any other!"
"Then prove it." Myrdak challenged, throwing a punch. "These seven dragons couldn't beat Acnologia. You're so sure of yourself, DAD? Beat these guys, or you don't have a chance. Though you're a fool since you only have six here."
Natsu smirked, catching his son by surprise. "Number seven should be here any second."
City Edge
Doranbolt panted in exhaustion as he turned to Lahar. "He was telling the truth. They were there." He said.
Lahar pushed his glasses up as he stared at the four hooded figures next to Meredy and Zancrow. "I don't know how well you've been informed, but dragons are destroying the city. Your leader is engaging the enemy commander right now, go in there and do what you do best."
"Would you stop talking?" One figure said as he pulled his hood down, showing his scared over eye. "I can hear you loud and clear, Natsu." Cobra chuckled.
"This is worse than we ever imagined." Midnight said, doing the same with his hood. "But the people are far from this."
"Which means we don't have to hold back." Racer smirked as Hoteye nodded.
"Crime Sorciere…" Meredy spoke up as their magic power flared up. "Let's do this." All five men nodded before the group raced into the city.
. . . .What? Did you really think I would kill of Natsu's daughter after ONE chapter? Not only did I not do that, I doubled down on it with a twin! Obviously, I didn't want to just change who it was who came back and then keep the motivation the same. Cause then it's just stupid to change it in the first place. So Myrdak is basically fine with being the villain of the story if it means the world is saved.
And for the record, the two siblings do NOT share the same magic. Only Myrdak is getting Dragon Souls, Fae has a more basic version of the magic. Speaking of Fae, holy hell was she fun to write. I have never had so much fun writing the lines of a character more than before this. Next chapter might take a while as well, (again, sorry about this one), but you can't rush art. See ya then.
