Contrary to belief, it is not all that easy to get out an abusive relationship. Contrary to belief, it is not just vulnerable women and men that get into abusive relationships. Contrary to belief, an abusive relationship can be the only thing a person knows.

This was the case for Hermione. War heroine Hermione. Strong Hermione. Smart Hermione. Hermione that had only ever been in one relationship before. The very one she was still in.

Hermione loved the Weasley's with her entire heart and very being. She loved Arthur Weasley's obsession with muggle objects and the smile that would grace his face as she brought him things from her old home. She loved Molly Weasley's protective and sometimes overbearing motherly nature. She loved Bill and Fleur Weasley's ability to overcome any obstacle so long as they faced it as one. She loved Charlie Weasley's outgoing nature and his pure love for adventures and adrenaline rushes. She loved Percy Weasley's secret admiration of his brothers and his strive to be more. She loved Fred Weasley's...everything. Despite losing his brother, the one person he had been so deeply attached to, he continued to put smiles the face every person he crossed. He kept he and his twins dream alive, despite now operating it alone, but being hugely successful regardless. She'd loved George Weasley despite his teasing and pranks, in fact, that was just what she loved. She loved Ginny Weasley, now Potter, for her courage and strong will, but also for her friendship.

And Ron. She'd once loved him, more than she should have. She'd loved the boy who had saved her life, who had supported her and Harry for years, who had been her lifeline. She'd loved him because he was the only person there to provide security as they all recovered from the physical and emotional wounds inflicted by the fight against Voldemort.

But now, she didn't love him the way she used to. She'd loved the boy, but she didn't love the man he'd grown to be today.
