Chapter 1

Lucifer's Pov

I could remember that moment, that day the detective rushed over to my penthouse and we talked. The detective asked some questions about her miracle birth, about Pierce's true identity, about me and how I really feel for her. I remembered how her warm touch melted my heart when she hugged me, when she kissed me. Believed to be a dream at first, but I knew deep down it was real. Even after I reveal my devil face to her, the detective still came over and hugged me. Even though, the detective truthfully said that she still was a bit uncomfortable for my devil face, she still wants me in her life.

Now, she's off for a one-month holiday from work with her little urchin and Detective Douche. Understandably, I could see why as the small human child wants to spend time with her mother, after all she hasn't seen the detective in months. What I couldn't understand, is why Detective Douche was dragged along in their holiday.

During the time being, my spend my days helping Miss Lopez and Charlotte Richards in new murder cases. Afterwards, I all my nights at Lux drinking, playing on my piano, staying month at Lux, and surprisingly I've been denying some lovely invitations from beautiful women who wish to spend the most brilliant night of theirs lives. Truthfully, I didn't fancy to sleep with any of those women, then I thought to himself I didn't fancy any women at all. The only woman I was interested in seeing was the detective. Some night I sat on my piano in the dark bar ready to play, the microphone hanging from the ceiling near my face, blue light shine on my back and I began singing a few up-beat songs and a few happy songs.

For what is a man?
What has got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels

Sometimes, I continue playing even when the bar is close, and everyone is gone. Playing the music on my piano is something I love to do, and the graceful song I've played reminds me of the graceful detective. The picture of my hands gliding the waves of her blonde hair, gazing at her ocean blue eyes, and the warmth between our lips when we kiss.

To record shows
I took the blows
And did it my… way…

'Click' sound echoed closely to my ears when I finished the song. I didn't need to turn around to noticed that there was gun pointing directly at my head.

"Have I played that song too long? I have, haven't I?" I turn my head around to look at the gunman holding up his gun close to my head. He had three backups behind him, all in black, ski marks yet my I spoke in a fearless tone, "Still, there are far less drastic ways to put in a new song request."

"What's your poison? Poison? ABBA?" I cheerful suggested.

"Revenge" the gunman close to me finally answered in a cold tone.

I smirked, "I'm not familiar, but if you hum a few bars I bet I can keep up."

Then the gunman gripped the bottom of his black mask and pulled it off over his head, revealing his face and my gin widen in surprise, "Well, well, well… if it isn't Mr. Said Out Bitch."

I watched the disgust look painted on his face whenever I say his nickname, especially since I left him running in the desert with nothing but his underwear. I sat up from my seat and began walking up to the bar counter, I smiled, "I'm glad to see you've recovered from your adventures in the desert."

"I almost died because of you" Mr. Said Out Bitch angrily pointed out, but I couldn't disagree with him since he didn't have any water and food.

"You were driving a stolen Brink's truck full of cash…" I argued as I leaned over the bar counter searching for a glass and a bottle of juicy whiskey, "Because of me, you're not in jail forever."

Finally, I found a glass and the bottle of whiskey, turned around cheered the items in my hands and smiled, "You're welcome."

I walked over to a tall, round table while Mr. Said Out Bitch and his men surrounded me like a pack of wolves with their guns still aiming at me. Mr. Said Out Bitch continued complaining, "I was walking around the desert for days, barely survived. It got so bad that I started hallucinating, I remember you having wings."

The memory flashed before my eyes, I remember when my wings return and it felt weird at the time because I haven't be able to use them for six years since Maze cut them off my back. Then all the memories came flooding back to me, where I shielded the detective and myself by my wing when Pierce and his gunmen fired at us. I remember after stabbing Pierce in the chest, unknowingly to me my devil face and the detective was there and saw it. Back in the present, I placed my glass and bottle on the dark, wooden surface of a tall table and began pouring the bottle of whiskey into my glass as I replied back, "You remembered correctly. But, it's quite different, because now I got more than just wings."

"I don't know what that means, and I don't care" Mr. Said Out Bitch continued talking while I drank the whiskey from my glass in one gulp, "I needed that money, and I did some research on you. You're load, so pay up!"

Mr. Said Out Bitch rattled his gun as a warning to my ears, but I didn't show a sign of fear in his view. I turned around and confidently walked to Mr. Said Out Bitch and corrected, "I believe your research may have been a little…" My hand quickly reached out and gripped tightly around the end of his gun and within a second I squeezed and pulled the end to point downwards, "…inadequate."

The gun began to shake uncontrollably in his hand, within a second Mr. Said Out Bitch let his gun slipped out of his hand and hit hard to the floor. I watched his eyes widen in deep fear and his throat became very dry, but he managed to say a few words through his breathless mouth, "I didn't hallucinate, did I?"

"No, no you didn't" I eerily grinned down at the frighten, little human.

Suddenly, his men began shooting their gun at me from the top of my neck to bottom of my chest, firing at the weakness spots. Unfortunately for the, all of their fast, tiny bullets just sharply bounced off from my skin and fall to the ground. I loudly growled in annoyance, "Blood hell! I already just bought this new suit, now I have to buy another one!"

The fear made Mr. Said Out Bitch's knees shivered so hard that it brought him down to the floor and he crawled himself backwards till his back hits the wall of the cold side of the counter. He yelled, "What the hell are you?"

"I'm the devil, thought to be evil incarnated…" I answered, then my voice purred in a kinder tone, "though, she didn't think so."

Mr. Said Out Bitch looked puzzled, "Who?"

Unexpectedly, one of his men ran and squeezed his right into a hard fist, but I too fast to face him and formed my own fist. Hard as iron when my fist hit his, the gunman fall back and cried in pain. Meanwhile, I faced down at Mr. Said Out Bitch and explained, "You see, a close person of mine recently discovered my true nature."

Another gunman tried to attack me from behind, not before my hand hit him right into the throat and hold it there, "She was kidnaped by insane priests. Forced her to face the truth. Manipulating her in believing that I was evil incarnated."

"I tried to talk to her…" my hand gripped around the gunman's throat and lifted his off the floor. Throwing the gunman across the bar and after five seconds he landed harshly to the other side of the room while I continued staring down at Mr. Said Out Bitch, my voice sounded darker with sorrow, "…but she was too terrified. Too scared to talk, listen, or even look at me."

"Then, she came back. I saved her and brought her to hospital" the tone of my voice quickly became lighter, as I tried to continue explaining while the third gunman appeared and did a hard punch to my face, but it wasn't hard enough for me to feel it. My arms coiled around him one under her arm and one over the other, he couldn't struggle out from my strong grip, "I mean she was shot after all."

I threw the gunman far to the side of the room where he dashed into the wall and dropped down to the floor, "But, she still came back, wanting me in her life even after realising who I was."

"That was a mouth ago, before she went on a vacation with her family" I added right before I noticed the first gunman slowly raise up and swing out his own knife at me. Unluckily for him, I quickly gripped his wrist and twisted his hand, so his knife was aiming downwards, then I strongly pushed his hand down and slabbed himself in the leg. He cried in pain before I threw him away, then my eyes shifted back to Mr. Said Out Bitch.

"Now, she's fine, and I'm better than ever" I smiled at my true words, facing the facts that the detective is alright with my devil side,

"But now that leaves one question" I strolled up to Mr. Said Out Bitch as he leaned himself back against the wall in fear of my close presence. Slowly kneeing down in front of him, my dark eyes were locked on his scared face as I unravelled the question, "What to do with you?"

"Don't kill me, man…" he begged in a whinny tone, I almost felt pity for him, "Please, I… I'm just a thief. That's all."

"Lucifer!" Maze's yell roared loud within the bar. I could hear her footsteps echoing off form the staircase behind me.

My eyes rolled to the side before shifting my gaze back to Mr. Said Out Bitch, I quickly stood up and said, "Alright, you're free to go. But I advise you not to come back and try to attack me within my club, otherwise you might or might not leave, and perhaps without the pants again. Go on!"

I cheered on Mr. Said Out Bitch as he stood up fast, but his legs were still wobbly from fear. Slowly crawling around me and unsteadily rushed through the huge room, passed maze and exist out of the club. Meanwhile, Maze continued walking through the room scanning around as the demon noticed the three gunmen been beaten up and laying over the floor.

"What the hell happened here?" Maze questioned.

"Oh, a bit of beating up burglars. You know, good exercise" I smiled, rolling my shoulders in small circles before pouring myself another drink of that juicy whiskey.

"You seen well?" Maze walked pass me towards the bar.

My eyes followed her as I chuckled, "Well, why wouldn't I be."

"Rumors says, that you've… been dodging some ladies' request for the best night for their lives" Maze answered as she stood behind the bar and pour herself a drink.

"Well, I didn't fancy it at the time" I replied with a short answer as always, taking a quick sip from my own drink.

"Should get a bloody metal then, since, you waited an entire month for Chloe" the demon spoiled the mood as she revealed the whole truth.

Maze's words made me paused my lips on the edge of the glass and the juicy whiskey waved over the top of my lips. I gaze up and saw a small, yet sly grin on Maze's face, as she could see the embasement I was trying to hide on my face. I didn't say anything to prove that Maze was right but unfortunately the demon continued, "Oh come on, admit it! You're waiting for the big moment."

"What big moment?" I asked, putting up a puzzled look even though I didn't have to.

"You, avoiding another women, because you are hoping when Chloe comes back, that you two…" Maze point a finger from her right hand and curled her fingers from her left hand into a hole. She plunged her finger into the hole, blew a short whistle with a cheeky grin.

Walked over to the counter while shaking my head, I chuckled, "No, no, no… that's what this is about Maze…"

"Is this your phone?" Maze cut, when she found my phone charging behind the counter.

"Yes" I answered while I took another sip of my glass.

At the same time Maze was looking at my phone screen then her cheeky grin grew wider, she asked, "Have you checked your phone?"

"Well, how could I? I've been entertaining the club" I spread my arms out like a bird's wings pointing out about me talentedly playing music within Lux, then my hands pointed behind me as I turned around to look back at the robbers I wrecked, "And, of course, been dealing with some bad guys."

My head turn around facing Maze as she waved my phone in front revealing a text message on the screen, she teased, "So, you haven't seen this text message from Chloe then?"

The sound of the detective's name froze the air within my lung, I stopped breathing, my eyes widen in shock. "Let me see" I reached my hand out for my phone, but Maze annoyingly move the phone away out of my reach, after hearing how desperate I was Maze knew this was going fun for her. "Now Maze, don't be like that" I eyed at the demon in way where humans try to order their pet dogs to sit and stay.

"Like what?" Maze continued teasing.

"I've already got my annoying brother, Amenadiel in my life, along with Detective Douche. Don't make me put you down on the list" my voice was low and demanding, Maze lazily gave up and handed me back the phone. I focused my gaze on the screen and read the text from the detective.

Hey Lucifer, hope you're well.
Just arrived back home from the airport.
Didn't call, figured you might be asleep or something.
Free to talk tomorrow? Chloe x

Afterwards, my breathless managed to chuckle a happy smile on my face. I was glad to know that the detective arrived back in LA safe after her one-month vacation. Without warning Maze, I began strolling towards the elevation.

"Where are you going?" Maze yelled.

"To sleep, of course" I replied back.

"What about the dead dudes?"

"They're not dead Maze, just wrecked" I entered in the elevation.

"So?" Maze questioned as she walked up in front of elevation.

"So, as a demon, do whatever you like" I answered right before the doors of the elevation slowly closed, blocking my sighting of Maze's puzzle face in the middle.

Feeling the elevation lifting me up higher through the tall building, until I finally reached to my penthouse. Once, I entered in the penthouse, I gazed back down on my phone and reread the text, I was glad that the detective arrived home safely from her one-month vacation. That moment, I released it 1am in the morning and thought maybe if I sleep in for tonight then be ready for tomorrow, smiled at the thought seeing Chloe again.

This based off from the opening of season 4 episode 1. I do not own the lines or anything.
