Disclaimer:
The following is a non-profit fan-made crossover story. Young Justice and Percy Jackson are owned by DC Comics and Warner Bros. Entertainment, and Rick Riordan, respectively. Please support the official release.
A/N: Alright, but seriously. This story will mostly follow the Young Justice storyline, because YJ is the only one that has a story and timeline I can easily follow. That being said, there will be small and big changes from the YJ story. Because you can't add new characters to a world and not have them affect it in any way. I'll try my best not to change too much, though.
Hope you enjoy the story.

"The Eye of the Storm"
~ o ~ O ~ o ~
Atlantic Ocean (July 16, 12:21 EDT)
A dozen monitors bathed the cold, dimly lit, room in a warm blue light. Charts and graphs were displayed onscreen, numbers constantly shifting as the machines analyzed and computed the data in mere seconds. The hum of whirring machinery echoed against the metal walls.
A man in a white lab coat watched the computers intently, the lights from the monitors reflecting off of his glasses. His dark eyes darted across the multiple screens, his fingers drumming along the armrests of his seat as he laid back against the chair. He spared a glance at his wristwatch, and his eyes narrowed. He'd been waiting for an hour already. He was getting impatient.
Suddenly there was a beep, and the man sat up excitedly. A message popped onto the central screen, red and angry. NO ANOMALIES FOUND.
"Damn it!" the man pounded his fists on the desk in frustration. "Still nothing."
He leaned back against his chair, the energy draining out of him as he rubbed tiredly at his eyes. His head swam as the floor swayed slightly in a gentle rhythm. "I need to search farther out," the man whispered to himself. "I need to look deeper."
There was a knock at the door, before it slid open with a beep. Light burst into the dimly lit room, making the man flinch for a moment before his eyes adjusted. A woman entered the room, in a similar attire as the man in the chair. Her brown eyes peered into the room; her dark hair held up in a neat bun.
"Dr. Shin," the woman greeted warmly, as she made her way to the man in the chair. "How goes the – "
"Ah, Clara, perfect timing," the man, Dr. Shin, interrupted. "I need you to go to the bridge. Tell the captain to set a course for deeper waters. We need to extend our search area."
The woman let out a sigh. "Doctor, we've been out here for six months now, and we're no closer to finding the sunken kingdom. Perhaps it's time to take a break. The crew want to return to shore. They are tired, and so are you."
"I am fine, Dr. Marquez," Shin insisted. "And the crew will manage a few more days. We're so close, Clara. Can't you feel it?"
Clara gave the older scientist a worried look, seeing the fire in his tired eyes. Her shoulders dropped as she nodded. "Alright. I'll give the captain his orders, but you'd better make sure that the men get some time off this ship soon. Any particular direction you want to go?"
Shin smiled. "Thank you, Clara. Perhaps somewhere near the Bermuda? We can dock at one of the islands, if needed."
"It's as good a place as any, I guess. I –"
Suddenly, all the monitors in the room started going haywire. The two scientists looked around the room in surprise. The whirs of the machinery grew louder, smoke started rising from the hardware as sparks flew everywhere.
"Doctor, what's going on?" Clara asked, taking a few steps away from the overheating hardware.
"The computers are overloading," Shin immediately rushed towards the back. "Quick, save the hard drives!"
Just as they started disconnecting the external hard drives, everything suddenly shut down. The room was bathed in darkness, before the generators restarted and automatically turned the lights on. Wisps of smoke, and bits of hot machines were all that remained of the event.
"What the hell just happened?" Clara asked aloud.
"I have no idea," Shin said, still disconnecting the rest of the external hard drives from the now not-overheating computers. "I just hope it didn't damage too much of our data."
"We should check with the captain, see if the rest of the ship is alright."
Before the doctor could reply, they were thrown to the ground as the room lurched to one side. A few computers crashed into the floor, as well, along with some other equipment. A second later, the alarms started blaring across the ship.
Doctor Shin let out a curse as he got up from the ground, and unsteadily made his way towards the blinds. He pulled them back and looked out one of the portholes. The sky was darker than it should be, at this hour. The waves were churning in the wind, roughly colliding with the ship.
"That's not possible," Shin whispered. "The sky was clear all day! Where did this come from?"
The doctor and his associate left the electronics lab and made their way up to the bridge. Red warning lights flared across the halls, and all over the vessel. Crew members rushed past them, prioritizing the emergency and heading to their stations. The moment they reached the outside, they were assailed by a strong wind that seemed to grow stronger. A light rain had begun to fall, and a crack of thunder sounded from the far distance.
After climbing four flights of stairs, while being rocked by the swaying of the ship, they entered the bridge. The captain stood in front of the helm, looking out the front window, intensely, while three other officers manned the deck. They were all checking their monitors and calling out orders through the radio.
Doctor Shin stepped up next to the captain, a bit drenched from the steadily growing storm. "Captain, what's happening? How'd this storm sneak up on us?"
"It came out of nowhere," Captain Perkins said. "Something strange happened. There was a loud sound, like something was being torn apart, then there was a flash of light above us. Our systems started going haywire, then the storm was just suddenly here."
"We might've come across a 'popcorn' convection," Clara piped up from the back, where she was trying to keep herself steady. "They're rare occurrences, but they're normally not this strong or dangerous."
The ship lurched violently to the right, as another wave crashed against it. Everyone on the bridge was jostled, grabbing onto anything to keep themselves from falling over. Shin stumbled and hit his knee on the helm.
From the window, Shin saw one of the cranes on the main deck get swung around by the force and knock down several containers. Crew members on deck immediately ran towards it, trying to secure the equipment and get the crane back in control.
The clouds lit up with a crack of thunder, the sound like monstrous howl in the cold winds. Lightning struck somewhere below the bow of the ship. Shin watched helplessly as an explosion tore apart the bow, causing the men to scatter and take cover from the debris. The lights and alarms shut off, instantly.
Perkins let out a loud curse. "Brennan, status report!"
"All of our power's gone, sir," the officer responded, as he tried to get the monitors started. "I think that the lightning strike hit the generators. I don't know how badly they've been damaged."
The captain cursed. "Get someone down there to check. If it's beyond repair, I want an immediate evacuation of the ship."
"Yes, sir!" The officer quickly grabbed his portable radio, calling out orders to whoever was on the other line.
"Captain," Clara called out, pointing a finger out the window. "Look!"
Shin turned to the direction Clara pointed out, and his eyes widened in horror.
A few miles away, and closing in fast, was a large wave coming their way. It kept rising up, and Shin knew if that thing hit them, the ship would capsize. They wouldn't have enough time to get everyone to the life rafts, and even if they did, it wouldn't be much help. They'd never make it ten feet from the ship.
"Perkins, we need to get out of here," Dr. Shin called out in a shaking voice. "We need to get out of this storm, now!"
"Brennan," Perkins shouted. "Give me a timeframe here."
"Sir, the engineers say the generators are badly damaged, and some parts need to be replaced. They can fix it well enough to get us back to shore, but they need time."
"We don't have time!" Perkins screamed as he watched the deadly tidal wave approach. Shin could feel the tension on the bridge rising with every second they drew closer to their doom. "Warn the rest of the crew!"
"It's getting closer."
"Captain, do something!"
"Perkins, get us out of here!"
"Captain!"
"Brace yourselves!"
Shin ducked down and closed his eyes, his entire body shaking and tense as he hid behind the helm. He waited for the impact, the inevitable crash and the crushing weight of the ocean. A second passed, then another.
But it never came.
There was a gasp from someone to his left, which made him tense up, but still nothing happened. He opened his eyes hesitantly, before they widened in shock as he looked outside once more.
The wave had stopped. It towered over them still, covering them in its long shadow, but it did not crash down on them. It wasn't instantly frozen; the wave still rippled and roiled, slowly inching its way towards them.
"How?" Shin asked aloud.
"Doctor," Captain Perkins called to Shin, his voice filled with disbelief. It seemed that while Shin was mesmerized by the wave, everyone on the bridge had gotten back up. They were all staring outside, but not at the wave. Something on the deck had caught their attention. "You'd better come see this."
Shin joined them at the window. Down on the deck, through the torrential rain, the doctor could barely make out the tiny figure of a man standing at the bow of the ship. The remaining crewmen still on the deck, watched the man warily. The man held his hand out in front of him, as if he were holding back the sea by his own force of will.
Dr. Shin let out a surprised laugh, his face splitting into a wide grin. "We've found one!"
They watched as the man pulled a biblical move and split the wave, letting the two halves slam down on either side of the ship. The impact caused the ship to lurch upwards, bouncing on the ocean surface.
The passengers hung on for dear life once more, while the stranger began waving his arms around. Slowly, the sea began to calm down, the dark clouds dispersing, and the wind and rain all but disappearing. The storm had passed.
Everyone on the bridge breathed a sigh of relief, one even letting out a whoop of joy. Shin's massive smile didn't leave his face for a moment, nor did his gaze leave that of the stranger that had saved them.
Clara approached him quietly, her hair a mess and an expression of shock on her face. "I can't believe it," she said breathlessly. "Is he...?"
"Yes," Shin replied fervently, as he shared a smile with his associate. "I'm certain. What else could he be?"
"A corpse on the water, if someone doesn't help him," Captain Perkins interjected. The two doctors turned to the grizzled man, who nodded back at the direction of the stranger. They looked back to find the man swaying in place, stumbling back and forth as if he was about to fall over.
Shin immediately ran out to the open balcony outside the bridge, shouting out for someone to help the stranger, and get him to the med bay. He ran down the stairs, closely followed by Clara and the captain.
A minute later he was entering the med bay, where several men were standing around, and staring at their savior, who was lying unconscious on an unoccupied bed. Beside him was a set of strange bone armor, that was broken in a few places, and a torn-up piece of orange cloth that might've been a shirt once.
Shin pushed past the men, earning a few grumbles of annoyance. He stood in front of the stranger; his smile being replaced with sudden shock. Behind him, he heard Clara suck in a breath.
"He's just a boy," Clara whispered in horror.
Shin could understand her horror. The boy who saved them was barely out of his teens, and he looked completely beat up. Where the hastily placed bandages did not cover, the boy's body was covered in angry red cuts, and dark bruises. His dark hair was shaggy and untamed, covering most of his face. His eyelids were fluttering, and his breathing came out shaky and uneven. The boy had obviously gone through something horrible.
"What would do this to a child?" one of the sailors asked, indignantly.
"I don't want to find out," Captain Perkins said, turning to Dr. Shin. "I'm setting a course for the closest port, as soon as the generators are fixed. I hope you don't have any objections, doctor?"
"No," Shin shook his head, turning back to the unconscious boy with a fire in his eyes. "I have all I need for my research, right here. Someone make sure our guest is safe and secure. Dr. Marquez, prepare our equipment in the lab. We've got some work to do."
As everyone rushed about and started getting the ship back together, no one noticed floating in the water, the form of a strange inhuman creature. Strange wisps of shadow snaked off its body before it was swallowed by the sea.

A/N: A new story approaches!
Don't know how often I'll get to update this, since I've also got Wolf of the Sea ongoing, and you all know how well I've done keeping up with that one. Which is to say, not at all.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed this, and stay tuned for more!
