More Than Just a Pawn
The superhuman teenager fell to the tiled floor. A couple brutes who constrained and viciously attacked him smirked, then flew off into the sky. The announcer and every member of the audience could only look on in shock and bewilderment. The poor boy could only lay there, pale, sweating, exhausted, and on the verge of passing out.
In front of the arena entrance, a short purple man with a white mohawk held his arm out in front of the others behind him. This man was the Supreme Kai, a deity who guarded and watched over the universe. "Don't move!", Supreme Kai commanded to the folks behind him. "All of you stay where you are! Kibito will take care of Gohan now, he has no need of your assistance."
"At least tell us what you're going to do with him," requested Goku, who was Gohan's father.
Supreme Kai was a bit vague, stating he had to follow Yamu and Spopovich, the energy thieves, and Goku and the others could follow if they wanted. With that, the deity flew off in the same direction as Spopovich and Yamu. As Goku, Piccolo, Krillin, and Vegeta debated with each other and expressed apprehension, Videl ran toward Gohan and knelt at his side.
The teen girl gently shook his back, and said softly, "Gohan, don't move, you're going to be okay!"
Finally, the other four fighters all decided on following Supreme Kai. Before beginning the flight, Goku landed by Gohan, Videl, and Kibito. He then asked the pink-skinned, long-haired deity, "Kibito, will you promise to take care of Gohan for me?"
"You have my word," Kibito assured the Saiyan, who smiled and then took off in flight. Vegeta grumbled and immediately followed his longtime rival.
The bigger and bulkier deity then knelt beside Gohan and firmly placed a hand on his back. "Where did everybody go?", the teen asked weakly.
"Quiet, you must stay still," replied Kibito, who then began to slowly slide his other hand under Gohan's chest. Right when two guys with a stretcher arrived, Kibito vanished into thin air, taking Gohan with him!
After gawking for a few seconds, a frustrated Videl yelled, "What are those freaks going to do with Gohan now?!" The announcer and the guys who carried the stretcher merely continued gaping, as did the entire audience.
A certain member of the audience was more troubled than anyone else. Gohan's mother, Chi-Chi, trembled and stared at the arena. "My…boy…,", the headstrong woman stuttered in despair.
Meanwhile, on a faraway planet which turned out to be the Sacred World of the Kai's, Kibito appeared, still holding on to Gohan firmly. This sacred planet had a similar appearance to Earth, with a major distinction being that this planet had more than one moon, all of which were visible.
Kibito and Gohan were outside on the patio of a large, white marble building. There was a clear pond by the building and patio as well. The deity gently lifted the exhausted mortal and placed him on a cushioned bench.
"What…where…", the Saiyan hybrid whispered weakly.
"Please stay still and quiet," Kibito sternly replied. "It shouldn't be long now."
The pale and worn-out mortal let out a long sigh, then finally passed out. The pink deity gave his shoulders a brief gentle caress. Then he leaned down, smiled, and gave Gohan a tender kiss on the cheek! Normally Kibito wasn't one to engage in such displays of affection, but Gohan had a certain effect on both him and the Supreme Kai, which would soon be revealed.
The deity pulled up a chair and sat beside the unconscious Saiyan hybrid while he waited for his master. He didn't mind the wait though, and actually relished in gazing at the mortal before him. Kibito reached out toward Gohan and ran his large hand through the silky black hair, then over the pale cheek.
Finally, Supreme Kai appeared behind the bench where Gohan rested. With him was Lord Beerus, a deity with the appearance of an anthropomorphic Cornish Rex cat, and a tall humanoid man with blue skin, white hair, and violet eyes named Whis, who was Beerus's angel attendant.
Kibito smiled and asked, "I presume Babidi and Majin Buu were found and eradicated?"
"Yes," replied Supreme Kai with a nod of his head.
"Don't forget I did all the real work!", Beerus boasted.
"Of course," the purple deity chuckled. "For that, our appreciation is too much for words!"
The cat-like god smirked proudly. Then Whis asked, "So Kibito, where is this mortal named Gohan?"
The long-haired deity gestured toward the cushioned bench. Supreme Kai and the other pair nodded and all three flipped through the air at the same time, landing at Kibito's side. Beerus and Whis gazed at Gohan for a few moments. Then the feline-like god leaned down and sniffed the teen's hair, cheek, then shoulders. Just when Beerus was beginning to sniff lower on the sleeping mortal's body, Whis gave him a firm slap.
"Sorry!", the agitated deity cried. "My feral instincts took over for a minute there. But I must say, you both do have good taste!" Beerus then winked at Supreme Kai and Kibito.
The pair snickered and nodded in response.
Whis spoke to his master. "Lord Beerus, I reckon we should get going back to Earth now. We sure don't want to be late for any feasts that will be waiting for us!"
The cat-like deity immediately nodded at his attendant. Then he winked at Supreme Kai and Kibito again before disappearing with Whis.
The purple god snickered in satisfaction. "It was hard enough to convince Lord Beerus to destroy Majin Buu and Babidi for us, but when Goku and Vegeta promised that their wives could prepare delicious food as a way of showing gratitude, that made it all the more worthwhile."
With that, Kibito firmly placed his hand on Gohan's back. With a sudden jolt, the adolescent gasped and opened his eyes when the pink deity began restoring his energy. As Kibito did so, Gohan's skin began reverting to its normal tone. Because such a large amount of pure energy had been drained from the half-Saiyan, healing him took longer than expected.
Finally, Kibito announced, "There, that should do it, Gohan."
He took a few steps back while the teen boy slowly stood up. Gohan looked at his hands, opening and closing them. "I feel much stronger than before," he said. Then he glanced at Kibito and asked, "What did you do? In fact, what is even going on here?"
"We'll explain soon enough, Gohan," replied Supreme Kai. Then he gently took the mortal's hand in his, and led him to the side of the crystal-clear pond. The purple deity took a few steps to the side, then Kibito went up behind Gohan and placed his hands on the teen's shoulders.
Suddenly, the adolescent screeched. Before he could jerk away, Supreme Kai once again froze him with a telekinetic wave. Déjà vu flowing through Gohan's veins, the Saiyan hybrid cried out in fear. Supreme Kai caressed his hand, and said softly, "Don't be scared. We aren't going to harm you. In fact, nobody and nothing will harm you here."
"That's right, Gohan," said Kibito. "Now just relax and take it easy." Then the taller deity began to slowly slide the teenager's Great Saiyaman outfit down and off his body with ease. Gohan blushed, this is why he screeched just seconds earlier; it felt like the deity behind him was starting to slide his outfit down. And now, he was doing just that!
Gohan continued blushing while Kibito continued sliding his clothing down his body, then lifted him out of his boots. Finally, the handsome mortal was fully nude, much to the delight of Supreme Kai and the taller deity. Upon realizing he could move again, Gohan fell to his hands and knees and began panting. Kibito quickly swept him up in his arms, then carried the half-Saiyan to the side of the pond and gently sat him inside the clear water. Much to Gohan's surprise, this pond was also exactly like a regular pool or large bathtub.
After sitting in the water and leaning on the side for a few seconds, the superhuman teenager let out a long sigh and closed his eyes. Supreme Kai and Kibito smiled at the sight. The shorter deity knelt behind Gohan, and massaged his upper chest, then shoulders and upper back. Next, Supreme Kai made small splashes to get Gohan's hair wet and clean too. All the while, the adolescent half-Saiyan made deep soft breaths and smiled in content.
Finally, Supreme Kai stood up and stepped aside. Kibito stepped forward and tenderly grabbed Gohan under the arms, pulling him back on the ground. Next, the taller deity wrapped a sheet of dark blue silk around his body. To the boy's astonishment, the silk instantly dried his skin, like a super-absorbent towel.
"Come inside, you must be starving by now," Supreme Kai said to Gohan.
As if on cue, the half-Saiyan's stomach growled very loudly. The boy blushed and nodded in response. Supreme Kai and Kibito chuckled, then led him inside the white marble building. Upon entering, they walked by a large mirror. Gohan glanced at his reflection, and noticed that the sheet of dark blue silk covering his body now had an appearance which resembled a cross between a robe and a tunic. He gave an impressed smile and thought 'These guys sure are talented.'
Within minutes, the trio was sitting at a large round table. The two deities waved their hands, and an entire buffet appeared! Fresh breads, fruits, and meats, baked desserts, and cans of soda. Due to his Saiyan heritage, Gohan began snarfing and chugging down food and beverages in the same way as his father. Supreme Kai and Kibito exchanged awkward glances as they slowly and delicately consumed their own meals.
"The Saiyan part of his blood is definitely more dominant," Kibito whispered. Supreme Kai nodded in agreement.
After the satisfying meal, the deities led their mortal guest back outside, and gave him a tour of their world. Gohan was quite impressed with everything he saw. When the trio walked by a waterfall, the half-Saiyan noticed some bushes of flowers at each side of the waterfall. These flowers were unlike any he'd ever seen. They resembled roses on Earth, but were a bright orange color with yellow markings on the edges of the petals.
"Beautiful, aren't they?", Supreme Kai asked Gohan.
The teen jumped in surprise, then replied, "Yeah! How did you…"
The short deity gave a playful smirk and said, "Telepathy is one of my countless abilities. Also, thank you for your earlier compliment on our talents."
"You're…welcome," Gohan stuttered, blushing.
Finally, they arrived back at the marble building. This time, Supreme Kai and Kibito took Gohan into a spacious bedroom. The closet, dressers, and drawers were impressive in size and appearance. The bed, however, really took Gohan by surprise. Covered with mint-colored sheets and pillows, this bed seemed big enough for at least three or four people!
"What do you think, Gohan?", inquired Supreme Kai.
"I've never seen a bedroom like this before," was all the adolescent could say.
"I presume that's a compliment?", asked Kibito, smirking playfully.
"Of course!", Gohan replied.
Upon arrived at the bedside, Supreme Kai pulled back the blankets. Then Kibito picked Gohan up in his arms, and laid him in the middle of the bed! The mortal could only giggle nervously and blush. Then to his astonishment, the deities began to shed the outer layers of their own clothing! When Supreme Kai and Kibito were down to just their inner layers, they both got in the bed too, one on each side of Gohan! Not knowing what to think of this sudden situation, the Saiyan hybrid merely continued chuckling nervously and turned even redder.
Next, Supreme Kai and Kibito each laid on arm across Gohan's chest. "Relax, Gohan," Supreme Kai whispered softly. "You need some sleep now, you know."
The teen knew he couldn't argue with that. He smiled and nodded in response, then closed his eyes and was fast asleep within moments. Kibito and Supreme Kai grinned, then tenderly kissed Gohan on each cheek, and then took turns with giving the mortal soft kisses on his lips!
Before the deities dozed off themselves, Kibito whispered "Our plan has worked perfectly so far!"
"Indeed it has," Supreme Kai replied. "Aren't you now glad that we brought a mere mortal to our world?"
Kibito huffed, then chuckled and responded "Yes, very much so!", before giving said mortal another tender kiss and dozing off. ***
Hours later, Gohan groaned and slowly opened his dark eyes. He attempted to sit up, only to discover that he was practically being held down by Supreme Kai and Kibito. The Saiyan hybrid tried to slowly move their arms off him. Success! Gohan slowly flew up and back on the floor in front of the bed. Supreme Kai and Kibito did look peaceful when they rested.
The teenager then went over to the window, and realized it was a glass door to a balcony. Gohan opened the door as quietly as possible, and stepped outside. The balcony had a lovely view of the surrounding area! He leaned on the railing, admiring the moons, sky, and everything else in this sacred world.
But then, Gohan started to get anxious. Why did these deities bring him here? When were they going to take him back home? Were they even going to take him back home for that matter? If not, what would become of his mother Chi-Chi, brother Goten, and girlfriend Videl? How would they carry on with their lives?
"You have a lot on your mind now, Gohan," Supreme Kai suddenly spoke from behind the adolescent.
The boy jumped and spun around, to see that the purple deity and his attendant had joined him on the balcony. Gohan smiled nervously, then answered, "Yes. Can you please explain everything?"
Supreme Kai and Kibito nodded at him, then pulled up some chairs (out of thin air). Both deities went on to share the story of the evil wizard Bibidi, and how during the human race's earliest years he created a destructive creature called Majin Buu. This monster had wiped out or absorbed the other kai's in the Sacred World of the Kai's. Just when Majin Buu was about to absorb Supreme Kai, the purple deity was saved by Grand Supreme Kai, who was able to cause the creature some damage but didn't succeed in slaying him due to Majin Buu's regeneration ability. The monster then absorbed the Grand Supreme Kai. As a result, Buu became more childlike and innocent and less ruthless and unpredictable due to the Grand Supreme Kai's docile personality.
Since the creature was much calmer now and easier to control, Bibidi sealed Buu inside a round cocoon to prevent the monster from becoming too destructive again even for the wizard himself. Shortly after this, Supreme Kai defeated and slayed Bibidi. But unbeknownst to Supreme Kai and Kibito, the vile wizard had a son, named Babidi. This new villain was determined to release Majin Buu and avenge his father. Supreme Kai knew Babidi had selected Earth for his hideout, but was unable to find the exact location despite himself and Kibito searching over the planet numerous times.
It was while hunting for Babidi and Buu's cocoon, that the two deities noticed Gohan. They sensed his ki while he was fighting criminals as "the Golden Fighter." After finding the source of this pure ki, Supreme Kai and Kibito were awestruck! Not just by Gohan's superhuman strength and speed, but also his pure heart…and handsome looks. Supreme Kai and Kibito observed the superhuman teen plenty of times, and were always pleased and impressed. Upon learning of the upcoming world martial arts tournament, the duo knew Babidi would send his minions there to collect energy for resurrecting Majin Buu. They also knew Gohan would be the perfect target.
This was when the plan fell into place. When Gohan had his energy drained by Babidi's minions, Supreme Kai would follow them and find the hideout, including Buu's cocoon. A few days before the tournament, Supreme Kai and Kibito met with Lord Beerus and Whis, requesting their assistance in defeating Buu and Babidi once and for all. Beerus was a bit hesitant at first, since he always tended to be a jerk especially toward the purple god. But then the cat-like deity accepted, taking the request as an admission and admiration of his own strength and power. During the tournament, Beerus and Whis stayed hidden and out of view from the arena. After Spopovich and Yamu drained Gohan's energy, and Supreme Kai and the remaining fighters flew off after them, Beerus and Whis then flew off in the same path, following everyone else as well. Upon arrival at Babidi's hideout, the feline-like god and his angel attendant quietly notified the Z fighters of their own presence. When Beerus began to have second thoughts (again, due to being a selfish jerk at times), the other warriors asked if there was anything they could do as a sort of payment. The god of destruction revealed that he and Whis had huge appetites and loved delicious snacks and feasts. Goku gave a wide grin, stating that his wife Chi-Chi was an excellent cook and promised to have her prepare some of her best dishes. Vegeta also said that his wife Bulma was a good cook, in addition to being the richest woman on Earth who could also hire famous chefs. Lord Beerus immediately accepted, and within minutes he annihilated Babidi and the cocoon containing Buu.
Upon noticing that Kibito and Gohan hadn't arrived, Beerus quietly asked Supreme Kai where they could be. The purple deity blushed, then confessed that while he and Kibito were attempting to locate Babidi, they had noticed and observed Gohan. They were impressed with his superhuman strength, speed, and other abilities of course. But what they admired most about this mortal, was his pure heart, innocence, and stunning masculine beauty. His inner beauty was the most pristine of any living mortal Supreme Kai and Kibito had seen up close. The lavender-skinned god read deeper into Gohan's mind, and was astonished at how the teen could even be so undefiled in his heart, considering everything he had seen and experienced since early childhood. This caused Supreme Kai and Kibito to become even more fascinated, and enamored, with the half-Saiyan. The two deities didn't want to risk Gohan becoming tainted and burdened, and decided to bring him back to their world after having his energy drained, and Kibito would heal him there. Kibito was a bit more disdainful of the idea at first, since Gohan was still a mere mortal after all. But he knew to trust his master. In the Sacred World of the Kai's, Gohan would be safe and cared for in ways like no other.
Naturally, Beerus and Whis were curious to see this mortal who captured the hearts of the other two deities. Supreme Kai gladly granted the request. Before this trio disappeared from Earth, the purple god turned around, and noticed Piccolo. The green-skinned Namekian's expression was a mixture of awe, shock, and heartbreak. Supreme Kai gasped; of course Piccolo heard everything with his advanced hearing!
The deity took a deep breath, and asked, "You just heard me tell Lord Beerus and Whis everything, didn't you?"
The alien merely nodded. "You were right about Gohan's pure heart, and everything else…" Piccolo trailed off. He certainly understood why Supreme Kai and Kibito wished to take him to their residence and prevent corruption in his beautiful soul, but he wished he could've said a proper good-bye. A small part of the Namekian was also resentful about having Gohan whisked away without anyone knowing ahead of time. But this was the Supreme Kai, and Piccolo knew he'd be unable to object, even if he wanted to.
The purple deity gently took Piccolo's hand, and said, "I understand. You practically helped raise Gohan, and that is something to be truly proud of! Please continue to trust me and Kibito, as you already have. As I stated to Lord Beerus and Whis here, in our world Gohan will be safe and cared for in ways like no other. I vow this with all my heart and being!"
Piccolo nodded in response and understanding. After Supreme Kai, Beerus, and Whis vanished, the alien felt someone tap his shoulder. He spun around, to find Goku gazing at him intently. The Namekian let out a long sigh, then told Goku that Beerus and Whis would explain everything later on during their "thank you" feasts.
At last, Gohan now knew all he desired to know. What Spopovich and Yamu did to him, Kibito bringing him to this sacred planet before restoring his energy, his being here in the first place, he understood it all now. The teenager blushed and lowered his gaze, scratching the back of his neck.
"I understand, this is a lot to take in," Kibito spoke up.
"Uh-huh," replied Gohan. "How are my mom, brother, and girlfriend going to take this news though? And everyone else? How will they carry on?"
The deities exchanged glances, then teleported with Gohan inside to the kitchen. Like before, they waved their hands and plenty of delicious food and beverages appeared. "Just wait here and get your nourishment," Supreme Kai said softly. "Kibito and I will go back to Earth for a little bit. Knowing Beerus, he's probably still there with Whis. All four of us can pass on the news at the same time."
The half-Saiyan nodded, then requested, "Please tell everyone I love them!"
Supreme Kai nodded back, smiling warmly along with Kibito. Then the duo teleported back to Earth while Gohan indulged in this new meal.
Sure enough, Lord Beerus and Whis were still on Earth. They were very happy and content! Chi-Chi had treated them with her homemade meatloaf and other dishes, while Bulma ordered catering from the finest chefs. The cat-like deity was enjoying his divine status to the fullest!
He was slightly startled when Kibito and Supreme Kai appeared before him. The destroyer god cleared his throat and asked, "So, how are things going with the mortal Gohan?" Beerus then smirked and winked.
The other two blushed, then Supreme Kai replied, "Gohan is doing great! But by any chance, have you and Whis told his family and friends the story?"
"The Namekian Piccolo already knows of course, and he, along with the two of us, informed Goku of everything before the legendary Saiyan returned to Other World," said Whis.
"Huh? When did Goku go back to Other World?", Kibito inquired.
"About an hour ago," responded Beerus. "I must admit, it was a heartbreaking sight. Chi-Chi, Goten, and all Goku's friends telling him good-bye again, while not being aware of the situation with Gohan."
Supreme Kai lowered his gaze. "So…Goku didn't tell his wife, other son, or anybody else?"
"Nope," the feline-like god shook his head, as did Whis.
Kibito sighed, then said, "I guess we shouldn't be surprised. It would be difficult to explain, especially in his situation. Where are the rest of his loved ones right now?"
"Right here!", exclaimed Whis, waving his hand around. "We're all in the yard of Capsule Corporation, residence of Bulma, Vegeta, and their son Trunks."
Supreme Kai and Kibito glanced around. Sure enough, they recognized Piccolo, Krillin, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta, Videl, and Eighteen as well. Everybody was eating, chatting, and keeping entertained in other ways. They noticed Goten standing beside a woman with long black hair worn in a bun, and a yellow dress.
Discretely pointing in the woman's direction, Supreme Kai asked, "I presume she is Chi-Chi, Gohan's mother?"
"Yep," Whis and Beerus said at the same time.
Kibito and Supreme Kai exchanged glances, then nodded at each other. The purple deity looked back at the cat-like deity, and asked, "Just one more small favor, please? Can you and Whis help us tell everyone here about the situation with Gohan? The more, the better."
The destroyer god tapped his chin for a minute, eyes deep in thought. Then he gave a smug smile and replied, "Sure, why not?"
Supreme Kai and Kibito smiled in gratitude. With that, Beerus and Whis stood up. The feline-like deity loudly cleared his throat, catching the attention of everyone around. They all recognized these new guests from the tournament.
"Sup…I mean, Shin! It's great to see you!", Krillin exclaimed.
"Likewise," the deity replied with a bow of his head. Then he sighed deeply, and asked, "I presume you're all wondering where Gohan is and how he's doing, correct?"
This immediately got the attention of Chi-Chi, Goten, and Videl. Chi-Chi spoke up first. "Yes, yes! Please, tell us!", she begged.
The lavender-skinned god responded, "Gohan is alright. He's in the Sacred World of the Kai's, where myself and Kibito here reside."
"What?! Does that mean he's dead?!", Videl and Goten screamed at the same time.
"No, no, dear ones. He's alive and well in our world," replied Kibito. Then he and the other three divine beings shared the story all over again. Their audience listened closely and intently.
When the full explanation was given to everybody, the reactions varied. Though Gohan's friends and loved ones were mostly awestruck and shocked while processing this information.
Chi-Chi started shaking and gritting her teeth. Then she grabbed a frying pan and charged toward the deities! "You took my Gohan away! How am I supposed to be okay with this?!", she screamed.
Before Chi-Chi could strike any of them, Piccolo firmly but gently grabbed her hand holding the frying pan, preventing her from going any further with her attack. While she struggled in the Namekian's grasp, Videl, who had also been shaking and gritting her teeth, then charged toward the four divine beings. The teen girl jumped, did a flip, then landed in front of Kibito.
Tears forming in her eyes, Videl attempted to chew out the pink deity, but no words could come out. She sobbed uncontrollably and pounded her fists against Kibito's chest. He did nothing in protest, just allowed her to let it all out.
Finally, Piccolo spoke up, getting the gals' attention, along with everybody else. "Supreme Kai here, is the overseer deity of the entire universe, hence the Supreme part of his name and title. As much as we may disagree with or downright object to his actions, there's really no point in turning against him. Besides, Supreme Kai and his attendant Kibito are as sacred and pure as can be. If they assure us Gohan is safe and okay in their home, then it's reasonable to trust them. I must also add, that for a mortal to be deemed…worthy enough, of being carried away to the Sacred World of the Kai's, is a very rare and major honor."
After a brief minute of silence, Kibito spoke. "Thank you, Piccolo. That was perfectly stated!"
The green alien bowed his head, smiling slightly.
With his telepathy, Supreme Kai knew that Chi-Chi, Videl, Goten, and all the rest were wondering about being able to see Gohan. "Don't worry about that!", he announced. "We can work something out, and when we do, we'll let you all know!" The purple god and his attendant gave warm and assuring smiles, and winked at everyone.
After seeing that Gohan's family and friends were assured and cheered up, Supreme Kai and Kibito bid farewell to Whis and Lord Beerus for the time being, and teleported back to the Sacred World of the Kai's. They appeared back in the kitchen, and were surprised to see Goku there!
"Goku?! How did you get here?!", Supreme Kai exclaimed.
The Saiyan grinned proudly, then replied, "After returning to Other World, I was able to sense Gohan's ki. Easy, really." Then he went back to snarfing down some of the food provided by the two deities, Gohan completing a few small bites.
Kibito facepalmed, while Supreme Kai gawked in astonishment. The pink deity grumbled, "The location of the Sacred World of the Kai's is supposed to be top secret and inaccessible!"
"That may be, Kibito," said the purple deity. "But in all these countless centuries, no dead warrior has ever been able to discover our home in any way. Goku is quite the unique warrior as well. I guess that just goes to show…like father, like son!"
After a few more minutes of fast eating, Goku said to Supreme Kai, "I'm really sorry for showing up unannounced. But I had to see Gohan!"
The divine overseer smiled, and replied, "Yes, I understand."
Then it was Goku's turn to receive a tour of this sacred planet. Like Gohan, he was quite fascinated with everything he saw, particularly the multiple moons. Much to the Saiyan's delight, Supreme Kai and Kibito offered their own training session! Both Goku and Gohan received quite a work-out during this training session. The half-Saiyan was noticeably sweating.
Goku then decided it was time for him to return to the Grand Kai's planet. Him and Gohan embraced tightly and affectionately before the legendary fighter went on his way. After Goku instant transmissioned out of the Sacred World of the Kai's, Kibito and his master led Gohan back to the crystal-clear pond. The taller deity slid the silk off the Saiyan hybrid's body. This time, the mortal stepped into the water by himself. As Supreme Kai massaged his upper body and dampened his hair, Kibito soaked the silk in the pond a few feet away. He then lifted the smooth fabric up and held it out for a few seconds. It was instantly dry again!
Soon enough, Gohan climbed back up on to the dry ground. However, Kibito didn't drape the silk back around his body; he kept the dark blue fabric folded over his shoulder. Next thing the teen knew, the two deities each laid a hand on his shoulder, and teleported with him back to the bedroom. The taller deity still didn't wrap the silk around the mortal's body. Instead, Kibito neatly placed the fabric on a dresser. Supreme Kai motioned to Gohan for him to lay back down. Blushing again, the half-Saiyan nodded as he quickly obeyed. Sure enough, the divine beings downgraded to their inner garment layers, then laid next to the Saiyan hybrid.
Supreme Kai turned Gohan over on his side, facing him. He gave the mortal a warm smile, then a kiss on the cheek, followed by another kiss on the lips. The half-Saiyan nearly let out a gasp as he turned redder than before. Next, Kibito slid his arm over Gohan's side and rubbed his large hand over the smooth bare chest. The taller deity slowly traced his fingers down the hybrid's abs, and over his navel. Both divine beings silently snickered when Gohan began panting. The trio continued laying there for a while, but didn't fall asleep. The deities merely held their beloved mortal close as all three relaxed.
Finally, Supreme Kai and Kibito exited the bed and put their outer clothing layers back on. The pink deity took Gohan's hands and pulled him to his feet, then draped the dark blue satin around his shoulders. Kibito didn't give the fabric an appearance of a robe and/or tunic this time, but merely a large towel wrapped around Gohan's entire body.
The two divine beings nodded at each other, and teleported with the half-Saiyan to another room in the large building. This one really took the mortal by surprise! It had the appearance of a medieval cathedral, with large candles providing light and stained glass decorating the walls. Supreme Kai took Gohan's hand, and led him to the bed in this new chamber. It was smaller than the other one, but looked just as cozy; the pillows and sheets were burgundy, with a canopy and drapes matching the shade.
Just then, something else caught the half-Saiyan's eye. It was a small table at the front of the bed, with a vase containing the same flowers from by the waterfall!
"You can sniff them, if you want!", said the shorter deity.
"Oh, okay," Gohan blushed again, then leaned down and sniffed these flowers which resembled orange roses with yellow markings. Their scent was lovely indeed, and intoxicating; words couldn't describe this alluring floral scent!
Suddenly, Gohan began to feel dizzy and light-headed. "Aahh…", the Saiyan hybrid half-moaned, half-sighed, before passing out! Kibito caught the mortal in his arms. Then Supreme Kai pulled back the burgundy blankets, and Kibito gently laid Gohan in the center of this ornate bed. The pink deity adjusted the dark blue silk, making sure it was wrapped around his handsome form decently enough, before moving the blankets up to Gohan's chest.
Both deities stepped back, admiring the sight. "He does look serene, master," Kibito said softly.
"And more stunning than ever," Supreme Kai added.
Before retreating back outside, the pair of deities each gave the slumbering Gohan a tender kiss, then closed the drapes. Upon arriving outside the building and beside the pond, Kibito spoke up. "Master, we vowed his loved ones on Earth that we could work something out regarding them seeing him. How will we carry this out?"
"We'll let them know that whenever moment we choose, is the best time for them to see Gohan. We'll also tell them that it happens to be when he's sleeping, due to training and other extraordinary experiences he's endured."
Kibito nodded in agreement. Supreme Kai did make truthful statements here. Gohan did receive unique training in the Sacred World of the Kai's, after all. Not to mention, he received the extremely rare honor of being whisked away to such a holy location, then was doted upon by two high-ranking divine beings. On top of that, the roses these deities allowed him to sniff, had a powerful and intoxicating aroma, which causes mortals to fall into a permanent deep slumber, during which they never age or fall ill. Supreme Kai and Kibito gave Gohan this fate, not only so they could continue to admire and love on him, but to spare him from inevitable fates of time itself, including corruption of his sweet and pure heart.
The divine duo may not have realized it, but they also saved the half-Saiyan from severe humiliation and degradation in the future. As a result, Gohan's talent and potential remained epic and memorable, despite his permanent serene slumber, during which Supreme Kai and Kibito kept their word of allowing their paramour's loved ones to see him one last time, and always continued to admire and love on him.
