It's my first one-shot, I lack experience in this fandom, so please don't be so rude with me.

"Oh, Aang, I never knew. I never knew, I would have left this horrible place a long time ago if I had known you were gay too. Oh, I love you so much"

Aang sat up and looked at Zuko.

"I love you too" he said with a smile, he moved to the side of the bed, his feet hit the floor with a thud, he got up and started to dress up like Zuko "Zuko, my friends will be back soon... and they do not know I'm gay, so you'll have to go. Sorry, but we can't see each other again"

Aang knew this would never going to work.

"No, Aang. I will not" Zuko said with a soft smile "during the eclipse, I will go with my father and I will tell him what I think. I'm leaving here and I want to join you, but you have to wait, I'll come back for you"

He leaned down and kissed Aang softly on the lips, smiled and prepared to leave.

"Zuko... Zuko, wait!" he looked towards his new lover "my friends... if we ever see each other again... they will never know about this, I don't know what they would do" Aang looked down sadly.

"Aang, if they really are your friends, then they will understand. When the time is right, I'll see you again and we'll be together" Aang looked at him with a smile, they kissed for the last time without parting for while "I love you"

With that, Zuko pulled the cloak's hood over his face and disappeared. Aang sat on the bed and looked at the clock on the wall, leaned back and closed his eyes, he had to rest, the invasion would be on Friday and tomorrow morning they would leave for the cove. That same night, Aang dreamed of Zuko; with the moment when they would meet again.

When the trio returned, Katara opened the door and found Aang lying on the bed, the sheets messy and a satisfied smile on his face, she reached out and put her hand on it, it was cool.

"I'm glad that you feel better, Aang" she spoke softly knowing he was asleep "good night"

*The Day of Black Sun: the eclipse*

Today was the solar eclipse day and the invasion day, Sokka, Aang and Toph went to look for the Fire Lord, but, to their bad luck, they meet Azula and go after her. Meanwhile, Zuko keeps the promise that he made to Aang the night before the invasion and heads to Fire Lord's bunker to confront his father, now he was standing in front of the steel doors, he sighed softly, the decision was taken and there was no going back, he had made a promise and he was not going to break it. He brought his hand behind his back to make sure he carried his swords with him.

"It's about time" he said, he put a hand on the door and opened it "I'm going to faced you"

"Prince Zuko, what are you doing here?" Ozai asked.

"I am here to tell you the truth" Zuko replied.

"Telling the truth in the middle of an eclipse, this will be interesting" Ozai dismissed his guards, they turned and ran out of the room, the atmosphere was so tense that it could be cut with a knife (literally) but Zuko was able to get his courage and did not let go "I'm curious about what you plan to do"

"I'm going to join the Avatar" he said swallowing when he noticed that his voice had not sounded as strong as expected. He straightened his shoulders, took a deep breath strengthening his composure, he could confront that man "I'm going to help him to defeat you"

"And why the hell would you do that?" the Fire Lord asked.

"Because this war has created an era of fear in the world and if we do not want the world to destroy itself, we must replace it with an era of peace and... kindness" that last one word he added it quietly.

Ozai laughed at his words, a sinister sound, reminded him of the day he gets his scar, he felt helpless, writhing in pain at his father's feet who just laughed.

"And I thought you wanted nothing more than to be by my side. Surely your uncle has influenced you, hasn't he?" his father said with a mocking and harsh voice.

"Yes. he did."

"Well, maybe he can pass you the ways of tea and failure" Ozai replied sarcastically.

"No, he has taught me the way of equality. There's something else I must tell you."

"No! that's enough!" Ozai shouted standing up. Zuko unsheathed his swords and took a fighting stance, his father could do nothing without his firebending.

"I'm going to speak my mind and you're going to listen me" Ozai sat down again with a serious expression on his face "he wanted nothing more than to be by your side. During a long time all I wanted was you to love me, to accept me" he closed his eyes thinking about his father's cruelty towards his person "I thought it was my honor that I wanted, but in reality I was only trying to please you. You, my father who banished me just for speaking when I shouldn't have. You, my father who challenged me, a thirteen year old boy, to an Agni Kai, how can you justify a duel with a child?"

"I did it to show you respect."

"It was cruel, and it was wrong."

"Then you haven't learned anything."

"No, I have learned everything, and I have had to learn it on my own. When I leave here today, I will not regret it."

After saying that, Zuko stepped back looking his father and the guards behind him knowing that he had very little time to take a shortcut to the balloon. His father sighed, shaking his head.

"You are like your mother, believing that you can betray me without any consequences. Now I see that banishment was too kind a punishment for a monster like you..."

He gathered strength and fired a lightning attack at his son. Zuko saw it coming and at that moment, time stopped, he extended his arm towards his father who had an expression of astonishment, the lightning went through one arm, went down to the stomach and came out through the other arm crashing with a loud explosion. Fire was everywhere, and by the time the smoke faded, Zuko was gone.

He got out of the bunker and ran down a slope toward the airfield, the larger aircraft had already taken off, he found a small war balloon loaded and ready to go. He jumped inside ignoring the guards screams, he cut the sandbags and soon headed up to the clouds, he high until he could see Appa and began to follow him, occasionally looking away at the departing aircraft behind him.

At the end, the invasion ended up in a total failure. The exhausted and reduced invading forces had no choice but to surrender and be captured, Aang sat on the back of the saddle, looking through the clouds with tears in his eyes, he felt bad for leaving the invading forces behind but, on the other hand, Hakoda was right, they had to hide in a safe place so Aang could get ready to defeat the Fire Lord when the time came. As they flew, Aang could see a shadow approaching to them, it seemed to be a fire nation war balloon, for a second he began to believe that someone was following them but then he came to the conclusion that it could be Zuko, was it really him? he was not sure; he had not seen him during the invasion and had promised that they would be together again when they meet.

After flying for a long time, the group landed in an open field, Appa was exhausted, the blazing sun beating down on them as they continued their way on foot.

"This is embarrassing" Katara commented.

"What's embarrassing? that our butts have been completely spanked by Fire Nation or have to walk all the way to the Western Air Temple?" Sokka asked.

"Both" she answered.

The group continued their journey with their heads down, wondering what the adults were doing at the time, probably heading to a Fire Nation prison or something similar. None of them noticed the little red dot that followed them high in the clouds.

"Alright, guys, we're already here!" Toph exclaimed near a cliff.

"Are you sure? there is nothing here" Sokka said looking towards the vast plain.

"Wow, it's amazing!" She continued.

"She's right!" Aang said running towards a small stone post "we are here! everyone come closer!" the others ran and stood on an intricate stone floor of some unknown origin. Aang created an air draft to an opening in the pole and the floor slowly began to fall into a cavern "welcome to the Western Air Temple"

"This place is different from the Northern Air Temple" Teo commented looking the place from his wheelchair, Zuko was hidden a few meters from where the Gaang was located "will there be secret rooms?"

"If that's the case, then let's see" Haru suggested gesturing them with his hand to follow him, Teo and The Duke looked at each other but didn't hesitate to follow him, Aang was about to go with them; however, Katara stopped him in time.

"You can go if you want" she spoke "we must resolve an issue"

"Hey, that's not fair, why can't I go?" Aang asked.

"We need to decide what we will do now" the waterbender replied "and since you are the Avatar, you need to be part of this"

"Okay, what will we do now?"

"Well, if you ask me, the new plan is to go back to the old plan" Sokka replied "you only have to master the four elements and defeat the Fire Lord before the comet arrives"

"Oh yeah, that's great. No problem, I will do that" the airbender said without interest.

"Aang, no one said this was going to be easy" Katara said.

"Well, it won't even be possible where am I supposed to find a firebending teacher?" Aang hated this, he hated it so much, it seemed like he couldn't do his job well.

"We could find Jeong-Jeong" Katara suggested, Aang sighed, leaning back on the stone he was sitting on.

"Yeah right. As if we could find Jeong-Jeong again" he said looking away.

"Who the hell is...? it doesn't matter, when you say something important, I'm going to speak" Toph added, murmuring that last sentence in a low voice.

"Oh well, I guess we can't find anyone" Aang spoke, trying to dispel the firebending conversation that left him confused and frustrated.

The team was now more than lost on what they were going to do now, they had no idea what they were going to do to defeat Fire Lord before the comet arrives, they started arguing about different plans and strategies, when, suddenly, someone appeared behind the rocks, it was Zuko.

"Hello, Zuko here" he greeted in the friendliest way possible but apparently that didn't work because Katara, Toph and Sokka put themselves into attack position.

*Flashback*

Zuko landed his war balloon not far from the Western Air Temple and set up camp there, ended up using the balloon as a makeshift tent, hanging it between two trees as a refuge. Now the most important thing was how was he going to convince Aang's friends that he had changed and wanted to join their team? He had no idea how to do it, so he tried to improvise.

"Hello, Zuko here. Well, I guess you probably already know me... sort of... uh... the thing is, I have a lot of experience on firebending, and I consider to be pretty good at it, well, I suppose you've seen me before, you know, when I was attacking you. Uh, yeah, I guess I should apologize for that… I'm good now. I mean I thought it was good before, but now I realize that I was bad, but... anyway... I think it's time I joined your group and teach Aang firebending"

"Riiii-biiit."

"Ergh, you are not help at all, you know?" Zuko said to the toad he was talking to "this doesn't make sense; they're never going to believe me... what would uncle do?" he asked to himself in a thoughtful voice "Zuko, you must see within yourself to save yourself from your other self. Only then, your true self will reveal itself... ugh, even when I'm speaking for him, I can't figure out what he means... what would Azula do?" he started to speak like a girl "listen, Avatar. I can join your group or I can do something indescribably horrible to you and your friends, you choice... ok! that doesn't sound good, I'm trying to make them like me and possibly let me join in, not to kill me"

*Flashback end*

"I guess you probably already know me, sort of, the thing is that I have a lot of experience on firebending, and I consider to be pretty good at it. Well, I think you've seen me before, you know? when was I attacking you? Uh, yeah, I guess I should apologize for that, but I'm good now. I mean, I thought I was good before, but now I realize that I was bad, anyway, I think it's time I joined your group and teach the Avatar firebending, I guess you are surprised to see me here.

"Not really, since you've been chasing us all over the world" Sokka said.

"I know this may seem like a surprise considering everything you've been through, but I want to join your team, I want to help you defeat my father and restore balance in the world. This war should not have continued as it has done so far, I am ashamed of my ancestors for bringing this kind of chaos to the world and…" Zuko turned his gaze towards Aang, who tried to avoid that kind of contact with him, he couldn't let him notice the blush on his face "and I can teach you firebending"

"How can we trust you? how will we know that later you will not betray us?" Sokka said remembering what had happened in Ba Sing Se, drawing Zuko's attention who turned his gaze away from Aang.

"I know it's difficult to trust me after everything I have done and I am sorry, but I have already betrayed my father to be able to defend what is right, there is nothing for me there" Zuko explained looking again at Aang a little hurt and confused. Aang felt sorry for him and was about to say something to him but noticing the looks that his friends were giving him, he had to change his mind.

"There's no way we can trust you after all you've done, we will never let you join us!"

Ok, Zuko had to admit that it hurt, he couldn't believe that Aang could say something like that and more after what happened that night before the invasion. Nevertheless, he came out of his thoughts upon hearing Katara's voice.

"Get out of here, now!" she exclaimed.

"I'm trying to explain you that I'm not that person anymore."

"You better go if you don't want us to attack you" Sokka said with a threatening tone in his voice.

"If you don't accept me as a friend" he leaned down and extended his hands "then maybe you'll take me as a prisoner"

"No, we will not!" Katara shouted and attacked Zuko with waterbending, he could have avoided the attack, but he did not do it, instead he closed his eyes and accepted the attack as he did in the same way with his destiny. He looked at Aang again as if he was waiting for him to interfere or help him but he did not do it, then he reacted and wanted to approach to help him but Katara stopped him "get out of here and don't come back! and if we ever see you again... then we'll better to not see you again!"

Zuko got up from the ground dripping water from the attack Katara previously threw at him. Aang could swear that he even saw tears form in his golden eyes but before he could decide what to do, Zuko was already gone. He felt bad for him, but there was nothing he could do to try to comfort him without his friends suspecting the situation and his strange behavior. After Zuko left, the discussions started again, but this time they were different.

"Why the hell did they chase him away like that?!" Toph asked raising her voice, she could be strong and powerful when she wanted.

"You don't know Zuko as we do!" Katara said angrily "he followed us all over the world trying to kill us and capture Aang. That is all he want; that's why we can't trust him" something inside Aang made him feel annoyed and anger ran through his entire body, now he was more than determined not to tell his friends what happened between him and Zuko that night before the invasion, if they reacted that way when he tried to convince them to join them, so how would they react if he told them about that night and that he is gay too? he didn't want to think about the consequences at that moment, he needed to apologize to Zuko for being so rude to him, the waterbender saw him walk away and started to follow him "Aang, where do you think you're going?"

"I have many things to think about, so I'm going out for a while" the airbender replied "don't try to follow me"

Zuko was sitting in front of the fire that night in his camp, he was injured, he deserved everything Katara had done to him and more what the hell had made him believe that the Gaang would accept him?

"What am I going to do?" Zuko thought in a low voice as he hid his face between his hands "should I keep trying until they accept me?" what he didn't know was that someone was listening to what he was saying, and that person was Aang "what's wrong with me?" he could feel the tears forming in his eyes, he was crying "I am so stupid why is it so hard to be good? this is a complete mess" silent sobs came out of him and Aang couldn't bear it anymore, he came out of his hiding place behind a tree, slowly approached Zuko and hugged him slowly from behind trying to comfort him, but that only scared him "GET AWAY FROM ME!"

"Zuko, it's okay. It's me" Aang said, letting the prince know that there was no danger near them and that no one had been following him as he went to see him and try to comfort him. Zuko was so relieved when he learned that it was the airbender who was hugging him that the firebender drew him to himself and hugged him tightly as he cried in his chest, letting out all his pain but also, most importantly, his love for Aang.

Aang just stayed there not knowing what to do, but after a few seconds he corresponded to the firebender's embrace with force, allowing Zuko to cry as much as he wanted, after a while they separated and Zuko began to calm down.

"Thanks..." Zuko said raising his face to see Aang, getting lost in his gray eyes "thanks... I... I feel better now"

"I'm glad to hear that" Aang said giving him a warm smile.

"I heard what your friends said about me" Zuko said as he took the airbender's face in his hands, "and now I know that they don't trust me because they think that I intend to capture you or kill you, you know that I left everything behind to join your team and I told you that I would never hurt the boy I love"

"I know" Aang replied without leaving his gaze "I know you would never hurt me; I trust you and I love you too. I don't care what my friends say"

Zuko smiled slightly at the minor's words, he was so happy that she trusted him. Aang looked at his golden orbs and smiled at him too, he loved the way Zuko smiled at him, made him look so adorable. Without even hesitating, Aang took Zuko's hands holding them in his ones and closed the distance that separated them with a kiss, it was not an innocent or sweet kiss, it was a kiss full of passion and the love they felt for each other. The Avatar now had his arms and legs wrapped around Zuko and their tongues intertwined fighting to see who would dominate the other, a battle that Aang had lost, Zuko let his hands move to the edge of Aang's robes without breaking his kiss, finished taking off the robe and tossed it away, but not before he separate it so they could catch their breath. Before Zuko could let his hands open his way through the younger boy chest, Aang grabbed his robe, returning the favor and kissed him while helping Zuko undress.

The two separated when they realize that they need to pull away from each other to take off the last piece of clothing. Aang gave a small snort of annoyance at this, but it was something more than needed to be done, then taking off the last pieces of clothing, Zuko placed the airbender under him, slid his hands from the boy's shoulders to his chest and belly , outlining every bit of skin his little body had to offer him. Gray and golden orbs collided with each other reflecting the love and lust that they had both felt for a long time and the connection that their souls shared, Zuko leaned down, kissed Aang again and parted to descend to his neck licking and biting slowly and painfully , at the same time that the airbender closed his eyes and moaned at that sensation, bringing his hands to his lover's shoulders.

When he reached his belly, kissing and licking playfully in the process, Zuko stopped and looked at Aang who was gasping for breath with a blush on his face. His hand holding his erection, feeling it harden under his touch, he held it tighter and leaned down to lick it, starting at the base, reaching the tip that was dripping pre-cum, licked and sucked it carefully.

"Ah... Zuko... Zuko..." Aang sighed his lover's name while placing a hand on his head to encourage him to continue what he was doing. The firebender licked the sides of his dick and finally introduce it into his warm mouth causing the young airbender to moan and feel that he was melting with the contact, Zuko smiled and resumed his work occasionally alternating licks and sucking, Aang slowly wrapped his fingers around his dark strands and pressed his boyhood against his throat listening him gasp. The climax heat approaching hit the pit of his stomach "I... I-I can't bear any more... I-I'm going to cum..."

Zuko pulled away at hearing his words, causing Aang to say something, but the firebender silence him joining his swollen lips with his in a new kiss, sliding his tongue between his parted lips. After a while, he broke away from him and, just like the night before and without any preparation, he thrust his erect cock into Aang's tight entrance, sliding in and out harder and faster in a rhythmic pattern. Moans, gasps and grunts were the only sounds heard in that forest, Aang placed his arms around Zuko as the firebender kissed him passionately as one of his hands reached down and rubbed his dick without stopping his movements, knowing pretty well that the boy would cum at any time. Their hot and sweaty skins gathered to the rhythm of their sexual acts, Aang groaned and gasped as he felt Zuko's cum filling his insides as his cum dropped on his abs and chest, he looked at the boy for a few moments and then closed his eyes at the sensation of his cock being pressed by the airbender inner walls. When he was done, he removed his cock, approach to Aang, kissed him gently and began to wipe his cum from his abs and chest. Both collapsed next to each other, Zuko on the ground and Aang next to him laying his head on the firebender's chest falling asleep within seconds while he tenderly stroked his back, feeling the scar Azula had given him when she attacked with her lightning at Ba Sing Se.

"We are not so different after all" Zuko thought admitting to himself that they had both received scars from a lost battle, but of course, he would never admit it out loud. His golden orbs looked at Aang cuddled on his chest for the last time, finally he looked at the starry sky and then slowly closed his eyes and slept next to the boy he loved.
