"Hina-san!"

His throat has already soaring from all the screaming, but it didn't bother him even the slightest bit. Not even his live matters for him right now. What's important to him now, is to bring Hina back home. Back to the earth. Back to Tokyo. Back to his brother, Nagi. Back by his side.

As he slowly decent, he sees a land of grass. On top the cumulonimbus. On the grass, he sees the sky fishes is surrounding something. Or rather, someone.

"Hina-san!"

The shouting scares the fishes, causing them to flee away from the figure. And he thank Lady Luck, it's who he hope for.

"Hina!"

Hina seems fainted at first, but as Hodaka is screaming her name, she slowly stirred in consciousness. She slowly rise up, looking around.

"Hina!"

She looked around, and finally her eyes landed on Hodaka, who's still floating in the air, as if the gravity have no effect on him. She looked both surprised and relief.

"Hodaka?!"

Hina gets up and run towards him. She kepp running and running, until she almost reaches the edge of the land.

"Hina! Jump!"

Hina leapt towards him, and he catches her hands. Gravity starts to acting on them. They fall into a flock of clouds.

"Hina, I found you!"

"Hodaka! Hodaka!"

At that moment, Hodaka could feel, all the weight, the struggle of getting her back, simply gone. Her smile, her calming eyes are his cure for all the darkness in his world.

"Don't let go of my hands!"

"Okay!"

Hina nodded, her grip on his hands tighten. They embrace the pull of gravity, sinking through the clouds.

They try to hold on, but the weight of the fall plus the violent wind causing them to finally losing grasp of each other.

"Hodaka!"

"Hina!"

Hodaka stretches his hand forward, desperately to reaches her hand.

"Let's go home Hina!"

But Hina, she just let the gravity takes her. She didn't even try to reaches Hodaka's hand.

"But if I do, the weather will…"

Hodaka clenches his teeth. She have the chance to return to her love ones, but she still want to sacrifice herself for the sake of the world.

"It's OK!"

Hina caught off guard. Hodaka have made his mind.

"That's enough! Hina, you're not a sunshine girl anymore!"

The distance between them began to closing by. Hodaka's hand already manage to touches her hand, but it's not enough. He need to grab her hand, never let her go again.

"Who cares if we don't see the sunshine again! I want you more than any blue sky! The weather…"

The gap between their hand close in on. From a foot to an inch.

"… can stay crazy!"

Finally, he manages to hold her hand. He hold her tightly, never wanting to let her go.

"Let's go home Hina. Nagi, Natsumi-san, Suga-san. They're all waiting for you." He said, looking her in the eyes. A relief smile curves on his face.

Hina looked back at his eye, noticing the bruises and scratch on his face. 'He did this…. For me.'

She nodded, her hand grasping firm Hodaka's hand. "Let's us." She said, smiling.

SWOOSH

Suddenly, out of nowhere a strong wind blows from below. Hodaka and Hina could feel their body being pushed upward by the breeze. "Woah!" "Hina-san, hold tight!"

The wind keeps blowing violently. They don't even know either they're falling down or being blown straight upwards. But other than the strange wind, there's something odd Hodaka noticed.

'Wh-What? My body feels extremely heavy.'

For some reasons, Hodaka feels he being pulled down more than he's being pushed up. The gravity suddenly act ten time more stronger on him. But that's the real issue. The gravity seems to increase only on him.

"Hina, don't let go!"

"Hodaka!"

The wind and gravity keep messing out, finally causing Hina to be at the top, blown by the wind and Hodaka at the bottom, pulled straight down by the force of gravity. Both of the opposite force are so strong, the two don't even know if they could hold on.

"Hodaka…."

"Hina-san, please don't let go! I'm begging you, please!"

Tears broke from his eye, holding her hand as if it's his lifeline.

Hina shook her head, giving him a warm smile.

"Hodaka, promise me. Whatever happens, live a happy life, okay?"

She let go of her grip, surrender to the force of nature pushing her up.

Hodaka's grip slipped, her hand slipped from his hand feels like a dagger along his hand.

"HINA!!!!"

And just like that, they're separated, and this time is forever.

One being blown away by a powerful gust, and another is pulled away by Newton's force.

Three years have pass since the incident. When Hodaka woke up at the shrine, he's alone. No calming blue eyes to greet him. The weather is clear, bright blue sky and warm sun. A few minutes later, the police arrived and took him away.

He's arrested and went to trial. He's being put on probation until he's graduated. They ask about Hina's whereabouts, and he told them she ran away. The police didn't have any evidence to accuse him, and finally, after countless of hours searching for someone who's not even here anymore, they closed the cases.

Nagi is sent to the child protection service, since there's no other living relative that he had. He and Hodaka haven't spoke to each other since that day, and to be true, Hodaka himself couldn't make himself to talk to Nagi. He promised him to bring Hina back, and he failed. If Nagi haven't already mad of him, he already mad of himself.

Suga and Natsumi also went into trials. They were put into probation for 3 months and 5 months respectively. After the incident, Suga tries to take Nagi under his care, seeing that he and his daughter had grown close. Nagi at first refuse, claiming nobody can take care of him like his sister did. But after some convincing from Natsumi and Moka, he finally accept it.

And right now, Hodaka never thought he had the strength to return to a place that bring him so much pain. The shrine on the abandoned building looks the same, even after three years. "Hina-san, if you're hearing this, I'm sorry I failed to save you." The dam of tears broke, emotions overwhelming him. He fell into his knee, sobbing in sorrow.

"I'm a failure. It's my fault you've been doing all the sunshine girl job! It's my fault you disappeared! It's my fault Nagi lost his only family!" his hand, clenches it into a fist, and starting punching the ground. The pain on his hand is nothing compared to the agony in his heart.

"Why! Why! Why! Why her! Why you must take the person I cared about the most! Why the person I love with my whole heart!"

He keep punching the ground, over and over again, until warm red blood flowing from the cuts forming on his knuckles.

Suddenly, his hand stops. Not by him, but by something holding it back. He turned around and sees…

"Nagi?!"

"Hey Hodaka."

Nagi, now thirteen years old, is holding Hodaka's hand. He's now almost as tall as Hodaka, wearing black long sleeve shirt and brown jeans.

"What are you doing here?" Hodaka ask him.

"I always visit here. The real question is, what are you doing here?" Nagi reply, taking a seat beside Hodaka.

Hodaka scoot away from Nagi, facing away from him. "Aren't you mad at me?" he said.

Nagi, who's opening a package he's borrowing, answers "Mad at you? For what?" He take out a can of green tea and drink it.

"For failing to bring Hina back."

Nagi is taken aback by that statement. He put the can on the ground and sighed. "Let me be honest to you Hodaka. Three years ago, yes. I am mad. No, mad is an understatement. I'm furious when the police found you alone here. No sign of nee-san." Hodaka bow his head in shame by that statement.

Nagi took another sip of his drink before continuing. "But then, I realized. Nee-san wouldn't me to be sad. He must want me to have a happy life. Enjoying the calm weather she had bring upon us. So, I stop being mad to you, and live a happy life just like how nee-san would want me to." He finishes his drink, and throw away the can into the plastic bag that he brought.

Hodaka still processing what Nagi just told him. Nagi wasn't mad at him, but that didn't made him feel better. "You know Hodaka? My sister used to said, every forgiveness is useless unless we learn to forgive ourselves." Nagi suddenly said, taking out joss stick from the plastic bag. He give some to Hodaka and put some of it at the shrine.

"Nee-san wouldn't want you to blame yourself. She make her choice, and you had do all you could to save her." Nagi said, lighting up the joss stick. Hodaka look at the joss stick, deep inside his thought. 'Nagi is right. Hina wouldn't want to see me sad. She would want me to enjoy the sunshine in my heart.'

Hodaka approach the shrine, and joining Nagi lighting up the joss sticks. They put their hand together and pray at the shrine.

'Kami-sama. Wherever Hina is, however she is, please. Please protect her. Please keep her happy. Please let her know, that I will have a happy life. I will stop blaming myself. I will enjoy the sunshine that she give us. I will be alright.'

After they finish praying, Nagi and Hodaka leave the shrine and heading to the stairs leading. Nagi looked up at the sky and smiles. "You know Hodaka? My mother has the exact same blue eyes as Nee-san." He said, taking Hodaka's attention. "She always said if I missed her, looked at the sky, and I will see her eyes in the sky. I used to see my mother's eyes, but now I see Nee-san eyes." He continues, walking away leaving Hodaka alone at the shrine.

Hodaka seems awed by Nagi sudden disclosure. He take a looked at sky, and beyond the clouds he sees. A calming pair of eyes. Bright blue eyes, always filled with happiness and joy. "Hina-san…." Unconsciously, tears streaming down his face. He shook his head, wiping away his tears. He walk down the stairs, leaving the shrine, smiling.

'Everytime I look at the blue sky, I will see you.'
