I own nothing Harry Potter.
Thank you for taking the time to read this story, I hope you have enjoyed it! I've enjoyed writing it, even if it took so long to finish.
Epilogue
Hermione POV
I couldn't remember a time that I had been happier than right now. Sitting here on the couch I put living room with Ellie and Luke on either side of me and Draco watching from across the room and the older kids met their baby sister I was holding, my heart was filled with love and happiness and pure joy. Natasha Rose Malfoy was two days old, born on Christmas Day, and we'd just gotten home from the hospital. Nothing made me happier than being surrounded by my children, this was perfection.
"She's so tiny," El says as she reaches out and touches Natasha's little fingers. Natasha opens her small hand and curls her fingers around El's, holding onto her one finger. "She's holding my finger, Mummy!" El squeals in delight.
"Shh," both Draco and I say at the same time. "You've got to be quiet around Natasha, she needs her sleep," I add, silently pleased that Ellie is so happy about Natasha. I knew she'd be a good big sister to our newest addition because she already was to Lucas. I just hoped Lucas would adjust just as well to Natasha.
"Can I play with her yet?" Lucas pipes up, as she bounces on the cushion next to me.
"Stop bouncing," I scold him lightly. "It's going to be a few months until she can play with you, Luke," I tell my little boy.
"Aww that's no fun," Luke pouts. "What does she do then?" he asks, eyeing Natasha skeptically. In his opinion, if she couldn't play with him he didn't have much use for her. Not all that surprising for an almost three year old little boy.
"She cries, eats, poops and sleeps," Ellie says succulently, nodding like she knows this well.
"Pretty much," Draco agrees, sharing a smile with me. Ellie must have picked this up from one of her friends who has a baby sibling because I know she doesn't remember from when Lucas was a newborn.
"Can I at least hold her?" Luke asks, getting his previous excitement back. "No, me first!," Ellie pipes up.
"Yes, you both can hold her, why don't you do it together," I suggest, standing from my spot on the couch between them and gesturing for them to move next to each other. Once they are sitting side by side, I gently lay Natasha on their laps, upper body on Ellie with her head resting on a pillow and her lower body on Lucas. Nothing is better than this sight, all of my three children together. This is love.
Natasha slowly opens her blue eyes and looks at her older siblings, "She's looking at me," Ellie squeals in delight. "Look at me now, Tasha," Lucas demands poking her foot to try to get her attention.
"Yes she is," I nod. "Don't poke her, Lucas," I warn, but let them continue to hold their baby sister.
As I'm standing there admiring my family, Draco walks up behind me and wraps his arm around my waist, pulling me to his side. I cuddle into him. This is perfection. "We make cute kids," Draco whispers as he watches the three of them on the couch.
"Yes, we do, Draco, yes we do," I can't help the giant smile from taking over my face. For once, everything is perfect. I know it may not stay that way, but we will overcome anything life throws at us. We are in this together, until the end, and our love grows stronger everyday. This is all I've ever wanted in this life and I've never been happier. Thanks to Draco and my three kids, my life is as close to perfect as I can ask for. This is my happily ever after and I'm going to embrace it forever.
Thank you for reading! I would love to know what you think! Goodbye for now :)
