Author's Note: And here are the events of Beyond that differed from canon...
"It's like a giant snowglobe," Bones muttered as he, Jim and Harry stepped off the Enterprise.
"You know they wouldn't even build it, let alone make use of it unless it was structurally sound," Harry pointed out.
"Very true," Jim stated as he slung an arm around Harry's shoulders, "and we have a surprise for you."
"For me?" the slighter brunet asked.
"Yes we do," Bones stated as he slung his arm around Harry's shoulders from the other side. "It's further in."
Harry allowed himself to be led, smile bemused. They opened the door to the quarters he would be staying in, and released him. "Through there," Bones stated.
He glanced at his two companions curiously before following the directive. His godfather was standing there with a big grin. "Sirius!" he cried and flew into the Animagus' open arms.
"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good Prongslet," he murmured. Harry blew out a relieved breath, then froze. Sirius covered it by rubbing his back with one hand, and stroking his hair with the other. His godson pulled back, tense. "You inherited more than just your Mum's eyes," Sirius murmured.
Harry's lips quirked upward. "Thank you," he spoke with feeling, turning back to his friends.
"You're welcome," Jim replied with a wide grin.
"I hardly did anythin'," Bones drawled.
Harry slipped over to Jim's side. "There's something I need to talk to you about," he murmured, "in private."
"Okay, we can go into the next room," he answered softly. "I'm sure you want to check the health of your long-distance patient, Bones," Jim remarked, "so we'll go into the other room and give you some privacy." Bones nodded, even as his eyes narrowed in suspicion. The pair disappeared into the other room and closed the door after themselves. "Okay," Jim remarked as he leant comfortably against the wall, "hit me with it."
"Something bad is going to happen Jim," he breathed, meeting the blonde's gaze with haunted eyes, "and I can't stop it this time."
"Hey," he murmured wrapping his arm around Harry's shoulders. "We all knew the risks when we signed up for Starfleet," he stated. "All any of us can do, is our best in moment," he continued gently. "All right?"
Harry leant into the touch with a relieved sigh. "Thanks again," he murmured. "I never thought I'd get him back."
"You're more than welcome. Now, let's get back before Bones gets really suspicious."

"Chekhov, can you scan for Khanian steel?"
"Of course Commander," he replied, adjusting the scan parameters.
"Eddison was after Khan's time Spock, what are you thinking?" Jim asked.
The computer beeped. "There is a trace amount of Khanian steel," Chekhov replied.
"Harry wears a necklace and pendant made of Khanian steel," Spock stated.
"And wherever he is, the rest of the crew will be," Jim spoke with a grin.

Harry strode toward Jim and Spock, looking up at the partly-built ship that would be the Enterprise once completed. Jim wrapped an arm around his shoulders. "You're going to miss this when you leave us," he remarked.
"I am," he agreed.
"Harry is leaving us?" Spock asked.
"He will be, one day. Any idea when that will be?"
He shook his head. Sirius' wicked laugh travelled over to them. "If you'll excuse me, I better make sure Sirius hasn't bitten off more than he can chew," he murmured, ducking out from under Jim's arm.
