Graduation is a hectic afire. Santana is graduating first on Friday night. Then Brett, Ava and Jess are all graduating the following morning. The whole family had flown out again for graduation only three weeks after the NBA draft. Ava had gotten permission to miss two days of training camp to come.

"First San, then us tomorrow." Ava says sitting next to Brett.

"It's a little scary, we're like adult, adults now." Brett says.

"Is San nervous?" Jess asks joining them.

"No, she's excited to finally be done with school." Brett tells them.

"I feel the same." Ava says agreeing with her twin on this point.

"Is this going to be long and boring like Jack's graduation?" Mariam asks.

"Hey," Jack says.

They're sitting in front and have turned around to talk to them.

"Yes, it will be boring." Brett confirms.

"Great and I'm going to have to sit through yours tomorrow." Mariam grumbles.

"We'll be bored with you." Jack says.

"If you want an out, you can take one of my kids to entertain." Lauren offers.

"I may take you up on that." Jack says.

"I would but I can't leave. San would kill me if I missed any part of her graduation." Brett says waving to Lauren's daughter who's fascinated by him.

"She would kill you." Ava says chuckling.

"And he would deserve it if he left." Amber adds.

While the younger people talk, the parents are also talking. Both sets so proud of their grads.

"I can't believe my baby girl is graduating. It seems like just yesterday she was entering high school, now she's graduation college." Maria says sniffling.

"I don't want my baby to grow up." Mario says wiping away his tears.

"They're all growing up too fast." Grey says.

"I'm not ready for them to be grown up." Susan says wiping away her tears that have started to fall.

Once the ceremony starts Maria and Susan start crying even more. Mario is silently crying. Brett is misty eyed as the ceremony goes on. Jess squeezes Ava's hand knowing how emotional she is. Both Mariam and Jack are bored of all the speeches none of which interest them. Laruen is thankful to be here with her family and that her kids are behaving. Grey looks around at his family and their reactions, these are the moments he loves most seeing how every feels.

"Santana Lopez," the president of Julliard says.

Santana walks across the stage to a very loud cheering from her family. She smiles as she can hear Brett's cheers for her above everyone else. Looking out towards them, she's shocked to see her fiancé holding their pit that he somehow got in. Shaking her head, she blows him a kiss as she heads back to her seat.

"Your family is hella loud." Debra says once their back in their seats.

"Yeah, I love them even when they're annoying." Santana says shaking her head as she sees Mariam standing on Jack's lap to wave at her.

"Is that your fiancé's little sister?" Debra asks.

"It is, she's a sweetheart and honestly is just like my own little sister." Santana says.

After the ceremony finally ends, Santana meets everyone outside.

"Congratulation's babe," Brett says wrapping her up in a hug.

"I can't believe you got Bella in." Santana says bending down to pet the dog.

"I may have sweet talked one of the girls to let me bring her in." Brett says smirking.

"Finally, your fame has come in handy." Santana jokes.

"Well, I wanted to bring her to celebrate you with us." Brett says smiling.

She gives him a quick kiss before her dad pulls her away.

"I'm so proud of you." Mario says hugging her to him. "You let us know if you any help, okay." he adds.

"Okay dad," Santana says pulling back, shaking her head on her dad slipped her a couple hundred dollars.

"You're all grown up now, I can't believe it." Maria says between tears. "My baby girl's all grown up."

Once her parents finally let her go, Susan pulls her into a bone crushing hug.

"We're so proud of you." Susan says. "If Brett does anything stupid, let me know and I'll have Grey straighten him out." she jokes.

"Thanks Susan," Santana says returning the hug.

She loves her soon to be mother-in-law.

"I'm so glad you managed to keep those two in line." Grey says nodding to Ava and Brett who are shoving each other. "You're an amazing young woman who has a very bright future ahead of you."

Santana gets teary eyed at this. Grey is really quiet most of the time, but when he does speak it's very insightful. She's very moved by what he said.

"Thanks, you Grey," Santana softly says hugging him.

"What about me?" Mariam says tapping her foot.

Santana let's go of Grey and turns to Mariam. "Thank you for coming."

"Like I had a choice." Mariam says shrugging. "It was boring, but I love you so it wasn't as bad as Jack's or Brett's will be tomorrow." she adds.

Santana chuckles, "I love you too."

"Congrates and thanks for including me." Amber says standing next to Mariam.

"Your family, you'll be invited to all these things." Santana says giving her a hug.

"You'd better pay attention the same amount I did to my graduation tomorrow." Ava says bumping her sister.

"Like you didn't nod off." Jess says.

"Ha, you lose, pay up." Santana says to her twin.

"Damn Jess, why'd you have to tell her." Ava grumbles giving Santana a twenty.

"Congratulations San," Jess says giving her a hug.

"You have two little ones that want to congratulate you." Lauren says giving her sister-in-law a hug.

"Hi Zack, Emily," Santana says getting on her knees.

"Hi," Zack shyly says.

"Sanny," Emily shouts wrapping her arms around Santana's neck.

"Congrates sis," Jack says smiling down at them.

With everyone having congratulated her, they head out to a restaurant for lunch.

The next is much the same. This time it's Santana in the audience with Brett, Ava and Jess graduating. Jess's parents have joined the group, sitting with them.

"Hello," Jess's mom says. "Our daughter Jess, said we could join you all." she says.

"You're very welcome to." Maria says shooing Jack to the row behind to make room. "I'm Maria, Ava's my daughter."

"Danielle," she says. "This is my husband Sam."

"This is my husband Mario, our son Jack, daughter Santana, daughter-in-law Lauren. Susan, her husband Grey, daughter Mariam and Amber." Maria says.

"My son Brett who graduating today too is engaged to Santana." Susan says.

"Jess had told us all about you all. It's great to finally put faces to the names." Sam says.

They blend nicely into the family unit. Maria and Susan get along instantly with Danielle and Sam fits in with Mario and Grey being a quieter man like them.

"Your parents are sitting with the family; it all seems well." Ava says nervous her girlfriend's parents might not click with her family.

"I told you they'd get along." Jess says not worried at all.

"Why are you so nervous?" Brett asks. "Please tell me you've met Jess's parents before this." he says.

"I've met them already; I've seen them a couple dozen times." Ava says scoffing at Brett.

"She's worried that my parents won't get along with your family." Jess says laughing.

"Obviously it seems like they're getting along great. Our moms seem to be hitting it off." Brett says.

Mariam is just as bored throughout the ceremony as she was yesterday. Though it gets better when they start having all the graduates announced and walk. She likes to make fun of them with Jack.

"Look that one has a weird haircut." Mariam whispers.

"Probably shouldn't have gotten a mom cut right before graduation." Jack whispers.

"Yeah, at least she's not like the weird four eyes behind her." Mariam giggles. "Those glasses are horrible."

"Yes, they are," Jack agrees.

Ava, Jess and Brett all stand up and make their way towards the stage. They managed to sit together even though they have different fields of study.

"Ava Lopez,"

"Jess Harris,"

"Brett Pierce,"

The three of them walk across the stage to cheering from their family. The whole time they walk across the stage their family cheers.

"I'm so glad to be done." Brett says once they're back in their seats.

"Yeah, we're going to have to leave for the airport right after this. I have an evening workout I can't miss." Ava says.

"I wish you all could stay." Brett says.

"I'm staying till tomorrow." Jess says. "My parents are flying out with me."

"Really?" Ava says a little shocked.

"Yeah, my parents asked if it was okay this morning." Jess says a little worried.

"Cool, I can't wait to have them around." Ava happily says.

"It's great that we all get along." Brett says hugging them both.

"Get off," Ava says shoving him.

Jess just laughs at the pair. Looking out at the guests, she sees Santana watching them, laughing as well.

Later that night after their combined graduation party, Brett and Santana are curled together on their bed.

"Are you ready to start our lives?" Brett asks.

"I thought we already had." Santana teases.

"I mean-" Brett starts before Santana stops him with a kiss.

"I know what you mean and I'm excited. We both have jobs lined up that we love and are moving in a week to beautiful San Fran." Santana says biting her lip.

"I love you so much."

"Love you too B."

At the end of the week, they moved into a condo in San Francisco. Thankfully the producer Santana signed with has a studio in the city and is willing to fly down to work with her. First though Brett has to play in Summer League. His team does well, getting to the championship game. They end up losing, but Brett plays well averaging twenty points, six rebounds and nine assists. Less than a week after the game the pair is back in Ohio to get married.

"I miss Brett." Santana says as they get ready for the ceremony in two hours.

"God you're so dependent. It's been less than a day since you last saw him." Ava says.

"They're so dependent on each other." Mariam says. "They can hardly go an hour without each other."

"Stop teasing Santana, it's her wedding day." Susan says slapping the back of each of their heads.

In the bridal party, Ava is the maid of honor with Mariam, Lauren, Amber and Jess serving as bridesmaids, Emily is the flower girl.

"I should have made either Lauren or Amber my maid of honor. At least they don't tease me." Santana counters.

"You were texting Brett all last night." Lauren points out.

"Even though we were having a bachelorette party and he was at his bachelor's party." Amber adds.

"I hate you all." Santana grumbles.

The conversation lolls as they get their makeup on. Out in the garage of the Lopez house where they are getting married, the boys are getting ready.

"Are you all okay to finish getting ready?" Mario asks ready to go see his daughter.

"We'll be fine." Brett says waving him off.

Because they wanted a small wedding with just family and close friends. Brett's only groomsmen are Jack and Grey with Grey serving as his best man. Zack is the right barer. There's about twenty other people invited. Brett's dad and Santana's eldest brother are not invited.

"Are you excited?" Jack asks.

"Heck yes, I'm so ready to be married to your sister." Brett happily says.

"That's how I felt when I married your mom." Grey says.

"I good," Nick says coming over in just his boxers.

"Come on little man." Grey says picking him up. "I'll help you."

"I'm super glad that you're going to officially be my brother." Jack says as they finish getting ready.

"So am I," Brett softly says.

Back in the bridal suite (the master bedroom), Maria has ushered everyone out.

"You look breathtaking, my son is so lucky to be marrying you." Susan says before heading out to find her son.

Santana glances back to see her mom trying not to cry.

"Don't start mami or I will too." Santana says tilting her head back. "I just got my makeup perfect."

"I'm just so happy for you." Maria says composing herself. "You're marrying a wonderful man who treasures you. I couldn't be happier."

"Thanks, mami," Santana says.

"Are you ready for me?" Mario asks from the hallway.

"Yes," Maria says going to the door. "I'll leave you two." she says giving her husband a peck before heading downstairs.

"You look breathtaking." Mario says walking over to his daughter. "Brett won't be able to take his eyes off of you."

"Thanks daddy," Santana says blushing.

"I'm not ready to let you go." Mario whispers. "You're my baby girl."

"I'll always be your little girl." Santana says trying not to cry.

"Still, at least I know Brett will treat you like a princess. He's the only man I trust to be with you." Mario says helping her up. "He's always looked out for you and we all love him."

"I love you daddy." Santana says giving him a hug.

"Enough of this emotional stuff. Let's get you married." Mario says wiping away his tears.

Out in the backyard, everyone is getting into their seats as the wedding is about to start. Brett walks his mom down the aisle to sit next to Maria.

"I can't believe you're getting married." Susan says squeezing his arm. "You're very lucky to have Santana."

"I know, I'm so ready to be married to her." Brett says.

"And you will be very soon." Susan says kissing his cheek. "You treat her like a princess."

"I will," Brett promises.

She takes her seat next to Maria.

"You look lovely." Brett says to Maria.

"Get your butt there. The wedding is about to start." Maria says smiling at him.

Brett kisses her hand before striding up to the alter and standing next to the priest. The music starts and the flower girl and ring barer come down with their mom Lauren. Emily is chucking the flowers at people the whole walk down the aisle. She's so cute that everyone just giggles. Next comes the bridal parties with Jack leading Amber and Jess followed by Grey leading Mariam and Ava. Once they get into their spots, organ music starts and all the guests stand.

"Don't let me fall." Santana whispers.

"I won't," Mario promises squeezing her arm.

She squeezes his arm tightly as they start to walk down the aisle. Everyone is staring at Santana with whispers of how beautiful. She only has eyes for Brett. He's standing there next to the priest looking dashing. What she loves most is that he's staring at her with tears in his eyes. Brett is simply blown away by her. She looks absolutely stunning. He can't believe that in a few minutes they're going to be married.

"Take good care of her." Mario whispers as Brett takes Santana's hand.

"I will," Brett promises.

While the priest starts the ceremony, Brett and Santana are staring intently into each other's eyes.

"I love you so much." Brett mouths. "You're gorgeous."

Santana blushes and mouths back. "I love you more."

"They've decided to write their own vows." the priest says.

Brett clears his throat, pulling out a piece of paper.

"San as you know I'm not the best with words and trying to memorize stuff is not my strong suit." he starts and Santana giggles. "I love you so much. I'm so thankful that I met you when I did, you helped me more than you'll ever know. I love that you accept me as I am and have never tried to change me. You are simply the best person I know. I feel so honored that you love me. I'll do everything in my power to keep you happy and protect you. Whatever you want I will give you. This I promise you. I promise to love and cherish you, till the end of time." he finishes and there's not a dry eye.

Santana has to wipe away her tears and wait a moment before she can read her vows.

"Brett, there's so much I want to say to you. First of all is that I love you so much and I don't think I'll ever not love you even when I'm angry at you, I love you. I love that you treat me like a princess. That you're protective of not only me but my family too. I love all your differences. I love that you make me want to be better, not ashamed of my differences. You are the best man I know. I promise that I will cherish you and our love. I'm honored to be your wife and that you'll be my husband. I love you." Santana says tears falling.

Brett takes Santana's hands and squeezes them.

"Do you Brett Pierce take Santana Lopez to be your wife?" the priest asks.

"I do," Brett says sliding a connecting ring to her engagement ring.

"Do you Santana Lopez take Brett Pierce to be your husband?" the priest asks.

"I do," Santana says sliding on his ring.

"I now pronounce you man and wife; you may kiss the bride."

Before the priest has even finished, Brett has her faced cupped in his hands and is kissing her deeply.

"I give you Brett and Santana Pierce." the priest says.

"Now comes the long reception before we can go on our honeymoon." Santana whispers as they walk down the aisle.

"First though is pictures." Brett reminds her, giving her a peck on the lips.

"I better look better than everyone else or it will be your job to make them look less attractive." Santana says.

"Yes ma' am,"

Pictures go by without a hitch. Santana is pleased with the couple she saw that the photographer showed her. After that they head over to the tent that's been set up for the reception.

"I'm so not looking forward to my sister's speech." Santana says leaning into Brett.

"What about our parents? My mom's going to be embarrassed me." Brett says smiling.

He gives her a kiss on the cheek.

"Get a room!" Jack shouts.

"Shut up! We just got married!" Santana shouts back.

Everyone laughs at the interaction between the siblings. A few minutes later Mario clinks his knife on his glass to get everyone's attention.

"Hello everyone, I believe you all know me. I'm the bride's father and I get the honor of speaking first." Mario says. "Now when I first heard of Brett, I didn't like him. I didn't want my daughter dating anyone so of course I was against him. That was until I met him. In one night, he turned me from hating him to giving him an extra hour on when I wanted her home from dates." everyone chuckles at this before he continues. "I just want to clarify that my dislike of Brett had nothing to do with him being transgender. I disliked anyone who tried to date my baby girl. All I ever wanted was my daughter happy and I'm so thankful that she has that in Brett. I've never seen anyone make my baby girl smile so much. To the happy couple."

Everyone takes a drink to the toast.

Maria takes the mic from her husband, pushing him back into his seat. "Sorry about him, he's a guy and doesn't realize some things don't need to be said." everyone laughs at this completely understanding.

"Hey!" Mario says.

"Santana, I know we don't always get along. We're both way too stubborn. But we both agree that Brett is simply amazing. The two of you together are great and I see many successes in your futures. I'm so glad that you two have each other to lean on. Brett, you're amazing guy and I'm so thankful that you're in my daughter's life. Santana, I love you so much and am so happy for you." Maria says getting very emotional the longer she talks. "To the happy couple!"

Everyone takes another drink to the toast. Maria hands the mic over to Susan.

"For those of you who don't know me, I'm Susan, the groom's mom. I'm so thankful for Santana. For those of you who did know my son before Santana, he was moody and was going down the wrong track. Between basketball and Santana, he straightened out. He was a nightmare before then Santana changed all that. She's the best thing to happen to my son. To my baby boy and the most wonderful woman in the world!" Susan toasts.

Grey takes the mic next and clears his throat.

Santana leans into Brett, "at least that wasn't too bad." she whispers.

"Your sister still has to speak." Brett reminds her.

"Fuck,"

"As most of you know I'm Brett's step dad and best man. I met Brett his freshman year when he joined the basketball team and I was the coach. He was fine young man who just needed some guidance to go down the right road. That was also when I met Santana. Before they had even talked to each other, Brett confided in me that he saw himself marrying her. I'm so happy it worked out for him. They truly are a great couple. I wish them all the happiness in the world." Grey says. "I know most of the time the best man speech bashes the groom some, but that's not something I can do. Not only do I not want to upset my son Brett but my wife wouldn't be pleased and I'd end up on the couch. I'll leave you all with this, Brett and Santana complete each other, their soulmates."

Susan and Santana start clapping and are soon followed by everyone else. Brett gets up and gives Grey a hug.

"Well, that was a touching moment." Ava says having taken the mic. "Grey might not have wanted to make fun of the couple but I have no problem doing it." she says and Santana groans. "I remember the first time Brett saw my sister; he literally ran into a poll." this causes everyone to laugh. "I know right, I couldn't believe it either. What was even worse, is that my sister ran into an open door staring at him right after that." the room erupts with laughter as Santana hides her head in Brett's shoulder. "It was at that moment that I knew they would date. It wasn't until a year later when we tried to trick him by switching places that I knew he was in love with her as he could tell us apart. There's no one I trust more to make my sister happy." she pauses to compose herself. "San, my twin, I wish you all the happiness in the world. You found your soulmate and I couldn't be happier. I love you."

Santana gets up and runs to hug her twin.

Hours later, the couple is getting ready to head out.

"I'll miss you," Mariam says hugging her brother.

"We'll miss you too," Santana says giving her a hug. "When we get back from our honeymoon, I'll talk to your mom about you visiting."

"Thanks San," Mariam says.

"Congratulation's sis, I'm so happy for the two of you." Jack says coming over to hug her. "Take care of her." he says to Brett.

"I will,"

Everyone else congratulates them before they can finally head out to the hotel.

"Are you going to tell me where we're going?" Santana asks.

"Nope, you're just going to have to wait and see."

End of part 1, part 2 which will be called Stars Are Born – Early Stardom. I won't be posting it for at least a few months as I have a couple other requested stories ahead of it.
