Naruto woke up to the sun in his face. He winced, still having a headache from the night before and the sun not making it better. He tried to roll over, but something was keeping him in his current position. It felt warm, whatever it was, but it wasn't an uncomfortable warm. It was inviting, a warm that you didn't want to leave. Naruto looked to his right and blushed to see Temari wrapped around his body.

He liked it, to say the least. However, he didn't know if he should wake her, or if he should let her sleep. Naruto thought back to his time with Temari yesterday. Although he didn't necessarily feel anything for her, when they were on the ferris wheel, everything felt right. The whole day was fun, but what solidified it was her smile. It was something about her smile that made Naruto fuzzy inside.

Naruto was cut out of his thoughts when he felt Temari shift a little. He looked down at her, her eyes fluttering open slowly. "Good morning, Temari-chan."

Temari opened her eyes only to see the side of Naruto's body. She became confused, only to finally realize what she was doing when she looked up to see Naruto smiling down at her.

She quickly retracted her hands and turned away from him, a light blush appearing on her face. "Good morning, Naruto-kun."

Naruto chuckled and got up from the bed. Temari continued to face the wall as she wondered why she did what she did in her sleep. Naruto looked at her as he walked to his dresser. "It's ok, Temari-chan, I don't mind. We all sleep differently."

Temari sighed. She didn't care if he didn't mind. It was just odd that she did it in the first place. "Whatever, what are we doing today."

Naruto didn't look at her as he was still fishing around for an outfit to wear. "Well, today we're going to get a few things ready for the party." He held up a pair of shorts to see if he liked them. "After that, we just chill, I guess."

Temari nodded as she stretched, her shirt coming up a bit to reveal her flat stomach. Naruto stared at her, his mouth opened slightly as he awed at her beauty. Temari glanced over at him, their eyes meeting. Naruto looked away and both of them blushed in embarrassment.

"Ahem," Naruto cleared his throat, "I'll uh, go get breakfast ready." Naruto said as he put his clothes on, hoping that Temari would forget what happened just now.

"Naruto, your cooking is insane, bro." Kisame said as food came out of his mouth, making everyone cringe.

Naruto looked at him and cringed with disgust. "Dude, Kisame, you're just a disgusting person aren't you?"

Kisame looked at him with squinted eyes. "What the hell are you talking about?"

Naruto turned to him with wide eyes, a plate full of food. "What do you mean? You fucking yacked all over the beach last night."

Kisame got up from his chair. "Come on now, there's no need to lie like that."

Ino got up from her chair and walked to the kitchen. "Actually, Kisa, he's not lying. It was disgusting."

"Yeah Kisa, you probably shouldn't drink so much...for everyone's benefit." Yagura said as he walked to put his plate in the sink.

Kisame rolled his eyes and scoffed before walking back to his seat. Everyone chuckled and continued to converse.

Naruto on the other hand kept glancing at Temari. He couldn't stop thinking about this morning, but more importantly, he was thinking about their time on the ferris wheel. When she held his hand and smiled at him, he felt...weird, like a tingly feeling. He felt like his heart was telling him that she was the right one.

He liked Temari, but his eyes had always been on Sakura. They grew up together, the three of them. Naruto would always confide in Sakura and he'd always be there for her no matter what. But Temari, she felt different. With her, he felt like he was meant to be with her, like Kami himself was pushing him toward her.

Temari noticed Naruto staring and gave him a look as if to answer his question. He snapped out of it and shook his head before getting up from his seat. "Alright everyone, we have a lot to do today so let's get things ready for the party in a few days." He said as everyone started to head outside.

"Yo, Kiba, gimme a hand with these speakers." Naruto said as Kiba came running over.

Kiba grunted as the weight of the speaker fell on his arms. "Jesus Christ, how big are these?"

Naruto slowly shuffled his feet along the concrete, being careful as to not misstep and drop the speaker on Kiba. "I don't know. One of my dad's friends was selling them."

Naruto and Kiba set the speakers in the garage and stepped out of it, stretching a bit from the weight. Just then, Temari, Ino, and Sakura came out of the house laughing.

Ino waved to them. "Hey boys." The group stopped in front of Kiba and Naruto. "What are you two up to?"

"Nothing really," Naruto pointed to the speakers behind them. "Just getting stuff and moving these speakers."

"Ohhhh, strong men I see." Ino said holding up fake muscles.

Naruto chuckled lightly. As they were talking, Naruto glanced at Temari and blushed a bit. Temari noticed this, but decided not to say anything in order to not make things awkward.

"Anyways," Naruto spoke up, "Where are you guys headed to looking all pretty?"

Sakura blushed a bit at the compliment. Ino picked this up but shrugged it off. She's definitely going to pry into her later though. "Just a bit of shopping." Ino pointed towards Temari. "Tema-chan's closet could use a bit of an upgrade."

"Fuck you." Temari said with a chuckle and playfully punched Ino on the arm.

Naruto chuckled. "Ain't that the truth." Ino, Sakura, and Kiba chuckled. "Ow! What the hell?! It was just a joke!" Naruto said after Temari pinched him.

"Yeah but your joke sucked." Temari said with a sadistic smile as Naruto continued to rub his arm, making the other three laugh even harder.

"Ok, well, we'll leave you guys to whatever you're doing and go shopping." Ino said as the three girls turned to leave and wave goodbye.

Kiba turned to Naruto. "So, you and Temari, eh?"

Naruto looked at Kiba blankly, trying not to entertain his little game he wanted to play so badly. "Just shut up and help me move these speakers dude." Kiba laughed and picked his speaker up.

"So, Temari," Ino squeezed herself between Temari and Sakura as they walked to the store. "How are you and Naruto?"

Temari glanced at Ino for a second before responding, she knew she was gonna ask this, yet she didn't prepare herself for conversations about her and Naruto's "relationship." "We're fine. Naruto's a really nice guy."

Ino leaned in closer to Temari. "How nice are we talking if you know what I mean." Ino nudged Temari in the rib with her elbow.

Temari blushed at Ino's question. A typical Ino tease question that never ceases to make you uncomfortable. "We haven't done that yet, Ino. I'd rather not only think about having sex."

"Come on," Ino pouted. "Not even a little thought of you and Naruto getting it on?" Temari blushed even harder.

Sakura smacked Ino on the back. "Yeah, Ino, Temari's right. You should really stop thinking about sex all the time."

"Oh, look who decided to talk and be sociable. We missed you, forehead." Ino said making Temari chuckle.

Sakura glared at Ino. She stayed silent, making sure not to lash out on Ino at the moment. These past few days have been hard on Sakura. Seeing Naruto and Temari get along made it hard to see him as just a friend since she would always put herself in Temari's place.

Sakura stared at the ground, making Ino put on an understanding face. "Sorry, Sakura. I didn't mean to be so.."

"Annoying?" Temari interrupted Ino.

"Right."

Sakura looked at Ino with a soft smile. "Apology accepted Ino." She turned to Temari. "I'm glad you and Naruto are getting along, Temari. Please take care of him."

Temari nodded towards Sakura. Seeing how Sakura acted, Temari couldn't help but think that Sakura was getting a bit jealous. However, she waved it off, making sure to not pester her about it, and leave all of that to Ino for later.

"Oh, Naruto, just the person I was looking for." Hinata said as she walked up to him with a paper full of supplies and other things needed for the party.

Naruto scanned the list and put on an impressed look. "Damn, Hinata, I knew I was in good hands putting you in charge of organizing things." Naruto said giving Hinata a high five.

"Don't underestimate us quiet girls, Naruto." A voice said from behind Naruto, making him a jump a little.

He turned to see Matsuri standing with abox in her arms. "Aye, Matsuri-chan, you made it." Naruto leaned in close to Matsuri. "And don't sneak up on me like that."

Matsuri chuckled. "You know I couldn't miss the famous Naruto beach party." She shoved the box into his chest, making him cough a bit. "Now be a gentleman and take this box for me." Naruto chuckled.

"Actually, Matsuri-chan," His face got serious. "I need to ask you something."

Matsuri looked at him with a questioning look. "Okay, what is it?"

"I, uh," He paused and scratched the back of his head. This was actually harder to say than he thought it would be. "Can we talk in private?"

Xxxx

"So what did you want to talk about?" Matsuri asked as she walked into Naruto's room.

Naruto closed the door behind them, trying to find the courage to ask. "So, me and Temari hung out yesterday." Matsuri looked at him and waved her hand as if there was more to the statement.

Naruto sighed. "And I think I felt something."

Matsuri chuckled, knowing that's the exact thing she knew would happen. "Not funny, Matsuri-chan."

"It's kinda funny."

Naruto sighed once more, embarrassed after remembering his statement he told to Temari in the car on the way to his house. "What do I do?" He said before falling flat on his stomach on the bed.

"Well," Matsuri walked to the bed and sat down beside a flattened Naruto. "You could try and make a move on her."

"But that would ruin her chances with Shikamaru." Naruto gave out a muffled groan. "So all you can do is not mess up her chances with Shikamaru."

Naruto groaned once more and flipped to look at the ceiling. "You shoulda told me this before, you know?" Matsuri chuckled.

"I know, but then I wouldn't get any fun out of it." Naruto chuckled lightly.

"No you don't."

"No I don't."

"I will tell you this though." She got up from the bed and walked to the door, her hand on the handle. "There's another girl that's in the picture." Naruto looked up at her with a puzzled look.

She looked back at him with a light smile. "I'll let you take those words however you want."

Naruto sat on the beach looking at the horizon, the moon glistening on the ocean. It was one of those nights when he couldn't sleep. His mind was full of the single line Matsuri gave him. He knew she was close with Sakura, but not close to the point where she'd tell her feelings about someone.

"If you keep sitting here by yourself like this, you might turn into Sasuke." Temari said from behind him.

Naruto looked behind him and chuckled. "Kami knows I don't want to turn into that bastard." Temari chuckled.

"Can't sleep either?" Temari nodded. "Wanna take a walk with me?"

"Wouldn't hurt, I guess." Naruto extended his hand out to her to help her up, which she accepted with a smile.

"I, uh, spoke with Matsuri today about our little plan." Naruto said, making Temari look at him.

"Did she tell you what she meant about what she said at school?" Naruto shrugged.

"She just said that I was right in my hypothesis." Temari nodded and looked down at the ground as they walked along the beach.

"I had fun yesterday. At the boardwalk." Naruto looked at her and smiled a bit. "Thanks for making me step out of my confort zone."

Naruto punched her playfully on the shoulder. "Yeah, you really grew up yesterday." Temari chuckled.

"Yeah and you really suck at throwing a baseball." Temari said as they both laughed. Naruto glanced over at Temari as their eyes locked, a small smile still on her face from laughing. She turned away a little brushed some hair from her face. Naruto blushed lightly but turned so that Temari couldn't see.

There was no denying it now.

He has some feelings for Temari.

Tormint: No need for any excuse. Long story short, writers block and me being horrible with third chapters kept me from writing this chapter. Nonetheless, the chapter is done, so now we rejoice. Shorter chapter today it was just a little over 2,000 words, but it was just to move things along, but next chapter is where things really get good.

Chapter four is already in production and everything is going according to the plan I made. Sorry for the wait guys, I know I do this all the time.

Anyways, I think I've rambled on for long enough. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy! Have a great day and I'll see you guys later!

Tormint out!
