Gojo would be the first to admit that he was only somewhat joking with Momma-chan about her becoming his woman. But at the same time, he would also begrudgingly admit that he was somewhat fascinated by her as well. Which was part of the reason that he'd propositioned her in the first place.

Another reason had a lot to do with the fact that Yuji kept calling her 'mom' when it was more than obvious to him that she was far too young to be the boy's actual mother. Even so- something told him that the two of them were still fairly close despite the lack of a biological bond. And that was good, even if just a tad bit puzzling to him.

And if there was one thing he liked, it was a good puzzle.

However there was always a time and a place to indulge in such things. And now, in this place, while the kids were running all over the place screaming- just wasn't one of them.

So far, Momma-chan had tolerated his nonsense with about as much grace as he would expect from someone who was worried, and literally had zero fucks to give right then.

But he had no doubt in his mind that that would end soon.

Of course he wasn't expecting her to elbow him in the ribs hard enough to nearly knock the breath out of him when she caught sight of Megumi being snagged by a tentacle and lifted up into the air by the cursed spirit.

He also didn't expect to find himself being used as a sling shot of sorts once Momma-chan was free of his grasp. But he was. And even though she had been somewhat vicious with that elbow of hers- he couldn't even find it in himself to be angry or upset with her.

Instead he merely rubbed the bruised spot absently and watched as she used the extra momentum that she got from using his body to fling herself back towards the ground. Where he also managed to catch sight of her saving Megumi and then carrying the boy off at a speed that was positively unreal.

Probably to get the boy to a safer place than out in the open.

Chuckling to himself, he wondered just how much hell he'd catch if he sat back and watched Momma-chan take care of things instead of helping where he probably should.

Sure, she seemed like a total civilian at first glance but even he could see that there was something...very peculiar about her that simply made him want to stay put out of the way and observe everything. However he knew that if he did, he'd catch more hell from Yuji than the higher ups and frankly- it just wasn't worth it.

Still...he took a few seconds to at least pretend to be weighing the pro's and con's before then moving to join the fray before things got even more out of hand than they already were.

"Uh...mom," Yuji began, intending to ask her how she had managed to save Megumi and carry him away so easily. But then stopped himself as he watched how carefully she was examining the dark haired teen for injuries that couldn't be seen. "Never mind. You probably need to focus." He muttered after a second or so.

"I've got a question," Nobara suddenly blurted from the other side of where Megumi was laying. "You aren't a normal human."

"Is that your question?" Ichigo asked as she finished palpitating the boy's stomach and abdomen and then gently tugged his shirt down. "Because it didn't sound like one."

"No. My question is- what are you? Are you a Jujutsu sorcerer like us?"

"What the hell is a Jujutsu Sorcerer?" She blurted out in confusion, taking note of the baleful look that the girl sent Yuji's way. She saw her son flinch ever so slightly out of the corner of her eye and huffed. Not really knowing why her not being a Jujutsu thingy even mattered in the first place.

"But if you aren't like us, and you can see cursed energy- then what are you?" Nobara asked again.

Ichigo cocked her head to the side a little bit. It was on the tip of her tongue to tell the girl that she was psychic. Because technically she did qualify as one with her enhanced senses.

But she bit her tongue to keep herself from saying that since it was mostly how she made sure that Yuji did his homework, and she'd loose the element of surprise if she said anything anyways. So instead she went with option B.

"I'm...a priestess."

"A priestess?" Nobara echoed with a funny look as Yuji pointed at her and snapped.

"Liar! Since when do priestesses cuss like sailors?!"

"I'm part of the new order. We can cuss." She said in an unusually sober tone.

"Liar! There is no new order! I'd know if you were a priestess! I would have seen you doing something priestessy before now."

"Sure there are. Priestesses can do stuff like that now. We can even get married if we wanna. Besides, I've danced naked around a lot of bon fires recently."

Yuji flushed with embarrassment at hearing this. After all, he didn't need mental images of his mom dancing around something naked. It was weird. And awkward. And so unbelievably embarrassing.

"Then you aren't a priestess." Nobara growled at her in an annoyed tone as Gojo walked into their line of vision and decided to toss in his two cents.

"A priestess, huh. That's kind of old school. Although... The sad fact is that if you've been dancing naked around a fire of any kind, then you sound more like a witch."

Ichigo gave him a sweet smile. "Really? Is that what my Necronomicon is for?" Her smile became sweeter as she asked him. "Want to test that theory? I can turn you into a dung beetle if you like."

That sweet smile could have given him diabetes if she had actually tried to hide the malice behind it. Thankfully he could tell what her intentions were immediately and he was able to respond accordingly, "Ew. No." Gojo deadpanned with a scowl before then tacking on. "Besides, you'd probably step on me and kill me once you did."

"She totally would." Yuji said with a sage nod.

"Hey! Show a little bit of loyalty to your mom! Don't be telling the white haired jerk what I'd do to him." Ichigo hissed at Yuji, earning a small giggle from Nobara and a slightly amused smile from Gojo.

"Alright everyone, let's put the comedy act aside for now. We all have questions for Momma-chan. But they can wait until later. First off, how's Megumi?" He asked, indicating to the boy with a hand.

"Unconscious. But otherwise fine. He should be waking up soon." Ichigo said automatically. She got a curt nod of acknowledgement from the man before he then asked,

"What have you guys learned about the cursed spirit so far?"

"It has tentacle's!" The two kids said in unison.

"Yeah, I saw that. But what else have you learned?" Gojo asked as he stared pointedly at the two kids. They both gave him a vacant expression that indicated how clueless they were when Momma-chan huffed a quiet laugh. Shifting his attention to her, he then asked.

"You know something that we don't, Momma-chan?"

"Sure do."

"Care to share with the rest of the class?"

"Sure," Ichigo said easily. "First of all, that thing can take the form of other people. I've seen it use this ploy to get close to others-"

"There are other people here? Now?" Yuji interrupted her, taking a moment to look around the wooded area for anyone else.

She watched him do this for a moment with her lips thinned as his friend hissed at him that the other people that had been there were all probably dead otherwise they would have seen them by now, and watched as Yuji all but crumpled in on himself.

"As I was saying. I've seen it use this ploy to draw it's victims to it. But it hasn't taken the form of any animals or vegetation. So it must have limits as to what forms it can use. It is also part amphibian. I've seen it use the lake around the back of the property as a hideout. It's fast. Vicious. And...it's also injured from losing this." She stuck her hand into one of her pant's pockets and pulled something red out and then laid it down on the ground between them.

The three of them went through a series of strained sounds, gaped in slack jawed disbelief, and just stared at her in awe before one of them managed to choke out, "Sukuna's finger?!"

Which was followed by Gojo and Yuji both shouting at her in unison, "You actually managed to get close enough to take that away from it before it could eat it?"

Ichigo was quick to pick up on just how much of a big deal the red finger-esque thing was. Even if she didn't totally understand the reason's why. Besides, she could feel the evil and malicious energy permeating from it.

So she could only assume that eating it gave things power. Evil power, but power nevertheless.

Of course on the hell of that conclusion came the internal debate on whether or not she should tell them that she tore the thing out of the spirit. But after a moment of weighing the pro's and con's decided against telling them that. Especially since she wasn't really sure how they'd react to her being able to do that without being injured beyond a few bruises and gnashes anyways.
