If anyone had bothered to ask him, then Gojo would have sworn- on a Bible. In a court of law no less. Both things that he tended to avoid like the damned plague- that Momma-chan was genuinely attempting, in a very sly and somewhat subtle manner, to get him killed.

And to be totally honest, he wasn't really sure how to feel about it. Sure he knew that he could be a jerk. Hell, he knew that he could be an utter asshole sometimes.

But what he couldn't quite figure out was the woman's intense dislike of him. Or what exactly it stemmed from.

Though he supposed that it had something to do with Yuji and placing the boy in life threatening danger.

He didn't bother arguing with the woman any though. He merely took Nobara's dolls, and went to get rid of the cursed spirit. Leaving Momma-chan to sit with/keep the kids safe.

He supposed that it was the only thing that he could have done right then. Especially if he didn't want the woman to beat the ever loving hell out of him.

It was almost disgustingly easy, despite the threat level, to completely destroy the cursed spirit. And once he was close to it, he could easily tell why.

Momma-chan had done more than a number on it's body. She had nearly completely depleted it's cursed energy too. So much so that the blast that it had sent out earlier had probably been the absolute last attack that it had managed to muster up. The damned thing was so damaged and weak that it couldn't even lift itself up off of the ground where it had obviously collapsed afterward.

It just lay there, writhing and growling.

So he put it out of it's misery and then went back to where he had left Momma-chan and the kids. After which he'd had to argue with the woman that he had to return the kids to the Jujutsu Tech. It would be best if she went too. No, no, no- he had to return with all three kids. If he didn't go back with Yuji too, someone would kick his ass and put him in teacher jail. Besides she still had Sukuna's finger on her. So she wasn't allowed to go anywhere.

Not that Momma-chan had cared any.

Their argument lasted for the better part of twenty minutes before Momma-chan tried to grab Yuji and run. Literally. And by then he was so vexed that he simply warped all of them to the school before she could so much as completely make it across the lawn.

Not that he wasn't impressed by how fast she was hauling ass while carrying Yuji's dead weight.

He even had the vague thought that maybe she moonlighted as a firefighter? That would explain a lot actually. Especially since he had been watching the way that she moved ever since she had pulled Sukuna's finger out of her pant's pocket.

Speaking of...she still hasn't handed that over.

Right that moment the woman was looking around in confusion, so he went ahead and called out. "Hey Momma-chan! Come this way! I can lead you out of here!"

The woman set Yuji down on the ground for the sole purpose of tearing a small tree out of the ground and swinging it at his head like a baseball bat.

"Hey!" He shouted at her after he threw himself to the side just to avoid having his head taken off by it the first time. And practically wound up shouting as he ran away from her, "Stop trying to kill me!"

"No!" She shouted back as she chased him up a large tree.

He settled himself on one of the branches and glared down at her in irritation as she tossed the tree in her grasp aside in favor of searching for something else to use to murder him with.

"I know that your pissed about not being able to escape-" He started and blanched a little bit when she picked up a pine cone and gave him the most terrifyingly evil grin that he'd ever seen before on anyone cursed spirit or human. Oh dear god what is she going to do with that?! He wondered in alarm as he watched her force some blue energy into it.

His eyes nearly tripled in size as she turned to face him completely and readied herself to hurl it at him while he quickly blurted out.

"But I'll honestly get into trouble if Yuji isn't here. We've taken responsibility for him! He has to be here or he'll get into trouble!"

Technically it wasn't a lie. Though he didn't dare go into any details right this second about the boy being Sukuna's vessel or the part that it played in him needing to be present at the school. He wasn't totally sure that the woman wouldn't maim him horribly if he explained that if Yuji left the school without someone with him, then he'd probably be hunted down and killed for going AWOL.

The words 'responsibility' and 'trouble' seemed to give Momma-chan pause. He knew this because he was still in the tree and breathing for the moment. But he very much doubted that her hesitation would last. She seemed entirely too fixated on killing him to give up very easily.

Still...he expected a lot of things from her at this point. Including cold blooded murder.

But the one thing that he didn't expect was the question that she blurted out at him.

"Is it because of the other soul inside of him?"

He was so startled by the fact that she knew about Sukuna's soul dwelling inside of Yuji that he nearly fell out of the tree while he was gaping at her.

After all, to his knowledge only Jujutsu sorcerer's could even sense Sukuna. And he could already tell that she wasn't one.

"How?" He finally croaked out, curious about her answer.

"I told you and the kids before, I'm a priestess." She deadpanned.

He stared at her hard for a moment and then asked. "You're still sticking to that explanation?"

"Yes. I'm very committed to the lie." She said soberly as she dropped the energy infused pine cone. Which shockingly now seemed to weigh a thousand pounds and took out the ground at her feet, leaving a fair sized crater next to where she was standing.

He didn't dare to say anything else for the moment. He just stared at the crater she'd just made and thanked god that she hadn't actually thrown the damned thing at him.

It really would have killed him!

Not long after he'd managed to wrangle a promise out of her not to try and kill him again, the two of them dropped the kids off in their rooms and then he led her down the halls of the school.

And since she'd tried to kill him earlier, he even grabbed a co-worker, Kento Nanami to keep them company so that things wouldn't get out of hand again- and all of three of them were currently sitting down in the common area with some tea and talking about Yuji.

And what exactly had happened to cause him to begin attending their school. As well as what the other soul inside of him meant.

"So let me get this straight," Momma-chan said with a frown. "Yuji swallowed a dangerous cursed item-"

"One of Sukuna's fingers." Gojo supplied helpfully. Momma-chan gave him a deadpan look but muttered a quick thanks anyways before finally saying.

"And now he has a cursed spirit monster thingy dwelling inside of him."

"Yes." Both men said in unison.

She got a look on her face like she'd swallowed something sour and was less than pleased by it. But at least she wasn't tearing the place apart and trying to kill either of them.

Yet. He thought as he continued to watch her somewhat warily as Kento decided to ask. "If you don't mind my asking, Miss. I understood from Gojo that Yuji refers to you as 'mom'? And yet you've been strangely absent for the past few months that all of this has been going on-"

"Yeah, don't think that I'm not kicking myself for that."

Kento hummed but continued. "Where have you been? Why would you leave the boy unattended for so long?"

"Why does he call you mom when you're probably younger than the two of us combined?" Gojo supplied. Earning a weird look from Kento.

"All of those are very good questions. And more than understandable considering the circumstances," Momma-chan said easily before then going on to explain. "The truth of the matter is, I was called back to my home town to settle some legal stuff. My dad is from a noble family. And has decided to pass his title and everything that comes with it to me since I'm his only living child. I would have taken Yuji with me... But he doesn't exactly get along well with my dad. And the last time that they were left in a room together for ten minutes- they got into a frigging brawl that nearly put my dad in the hospital for three months."

Both men stared at her with incredulous looks on their faces. Unable to wrap their minds around sweet, little ball of sunshine Yuji beating an elderly man quite that badly for any reason.

The boy was usually just so damned nice! He could literally make friends out of anyone. Including cursed spirits. So it was unfathomable to them that he would do such a thing. Especially without a really good reason.

"Anyways, that aside I also had to consider his schooling. Since he went to school here. It just made more sense for him to stay and continue to do so. I sent money for the bills, and food and so on. And even called to check on him often. But obviously those things weren't enough since he's in this situation."

"I see. So you didn't abandon him?"

"I've been his mom since I was eighteen. If I was going to just up and abandon him, then back then would have been ideal. After all, raising a kid while your still barely an adult yourself is beyond difficult."

"I wouldn't know," Kento said. "But it isn't as if I wouldn't understand to a degree. Besides, eighteen is very young to be a mother."

"It could have been worse. I could have become his adopted parent much sooner."

"Yes. There is that. How did that happen anyway?"

"Oh, well Yuji and I are cousin's. A bit distantly related on my late mom's side of the family," Momma-chan said with a slight shrug. "His grandpa was looking into the family tree a bit once he started to get sick. I think he was hoping to be able to find someone who would take care of Yuji if anything ever happened to him, health wise."

"Ah, that makes sense," Kento aid with a small curve of his lips. "From what I understand Yuji's grandfather passed away the same day that he was brought to the school."

"Yeah, I got a call from him about what happened," Momma-chan said as she reached up with one hand to push her strawberry blond hair back from her face a bit. "I asked him if he wanted me to cut my trip short so that I could come back and stay with him for a few weeks. But he said that he didn't want me to come back until I finished wrapping things up. I don't think he wanted me to have to make another trip later."

"That makes sense. He likely didn't want you to have to leave him again for a while."

"I think he worries that I might get mugged or something." She said with a smile. Kento smiled back. Though in his usual reserved manner as he went on to say.

"Well, that's understandable. You're very young and pretty."

Momma-chan didn't flush like he would have expected at the compliment. She didn't giggle, or act flattered. She flinched. As if she had just been hit.

Her reaction wiped the smile off of Kento's face pretty fast. Gojo couldn't blame the man any though. Her reaction didn't really sit right with him either.

Kento recovered faster than he did. Probably because he was better at pushing things aside for the sake of whatever job he was doing. And right now, Momma-chan had become a job to the man.

Granted it wasn't a normal job. But since Yuji was involved then he supposed that the other man was merely trying to feel the situation out and gather what information he could for the moment.

It wasn't a bad idea.

"I take it that since everything has been explained to you, then you understand Yuji's position?"

"Yeah. I do." Momma-chan said grimly.

"I also take it that you plan to stay here with him?"

"That's a stupid question. Of course I am. I've already been away from him for far too long. Besides, an extra pair of eyes on him will help things in the long run."

Kento smiled again, this smile was more genuine than the others he'd given thus far. Obviously the man was quite pleased with her decision.

"Alright," He said easily. "I suppose that someone should show you where you can sleep for now. We can speak with the principal tomorrow morning and get you better accommodations."

"I would appreciate that." Momma-chan said politely.

"There's just one more nit of business to take care of and then I'll take you to where you can rest for now," Kento said easily before then blurting out. "I was told that you have one of Sukuna's fingers on you. Would you mind giving it to Gojo? He can seal it away until later."

"You mean until you can feed it to Yuji?" Momma-chan asked as she fished the finger out of her pants pocket and held it up for them both to see.

"Yes." Kento said without hesitation.

She smiled at him. One of those sweet smiles she'd given him earlier in the evening. So naturally, Gojo knew that something absolutely dreadful was about to happen.

And it did.

True to what he'd seen of Momma-chan's behavior thus far, the woman continued to smile even as Sukuna's finger burst into blue flames and eventually fell to the floor as ashes.

"Sorry, but like I said earlier. I don't trust you guys with that thing. So it's best to destroy it. Right?"

The two of them were so shocked/stupefied/astounded by what had just happened that they couldn't even speak. Much less articulate anything intelligent.

So instead they just sat there staring at her in a combination of both horror and awe.
