Title card: Back in Black
"Ooh, the music sounds like a spooky rendition of the theme song." commented Tabby.
"Given that Lucy's a main character in this one, I can see why." said Carlota.
"I want to apologize to every African-American in the room and those associated with them if they feel offended by the title," noted Joe. "This episode title and the episode itself has nothing to do with skin color."
"It's cool, dude." nodded Casey.
"You're not the one who made it," added Clyde.
"Besides, it can mean a few other things," said Luna. "Like the 1980 song by Australian rock band AC/DC."
"The fifth novel in the A-List series by Zoey Dean." added Lisa.
"And the tagline of the 2002 film Men in Black II." finished Roger.
[The episode begins with Lincoln finishing his model of the solar system for a science project.]
Lincoln: "There you go, Mars. Right next to your buddy, Earth." [starts rotating the project.] "Oh, watch out for Jupiter. He's full of gas."
"Working on a school project Lincoln?" asked Frida.
"Yeah, Rusty and I were working on a model of the solar system for our science unit." Lincoln replied.
"Here I thought you would've been partners with Clyde." said Becky. "Not that Rusty isn't a bad partner."
"Well Mrs. Johnson wanted us to do team work with our other classmates." Clyde replied. "I was working with Liam on our project."
"What about Zach?" asked Stella.
"I was partnered up with Artie." Zach said.
Lucy: [holding a container of fake blood.] "Hey, Lincoln."
Everyone yelped.
[Lincoln gets startled by his sister's appearance and falls off the chair. Fake blood splatters on his project. He then gets up.]
"AHH!" everyone screamed in terror.
Lynn Sr., Bobby, Howard, Harold, Principal Huggins, Frida, and Laird fainted.
Lincoln: "Lucy! You got blood all over my school project!"
Lucy: "Relax, it's fake. Sigh. Unfortunately."
"Oh thank god it's fake…" Carol sighed in relief as Rita woke Lynn Sr. up, followed by Carlota with Bobby, Maria and Arturo with Howard and Harold, Norm with Principal Huggins, Carlos with Frida, and Sid with Laird.
"Impressive fake blood Lucy." Haiku praised.
"Thank you." Lucy replied.
"As creative as that is, I hope you don't go too far with your obsession with this kind of stuff." said Dana.
"She does have a point." said Joey. "If you ever do see someone die you'd know just how bad death really is."
[Later, Lucy is mopping the fake blood while Lincoln uses a blow dryer on pages of his school book.]
"Thanks for helping me clean that up." said Lincoln.
"Of course. It was the leats I could do." Lucy replied.
Lucy: [noticing her fake blood's viscosity.] "Hmm, needs more molasses. That'll give it just the right amount of ooze." [She walks off]
[The doorbell rings]
Lincoln: [Opens the door] "Hey, Rusty."
Rusty: [Fists bumps him] "Hey, Lincoln. My parents are both at work so I have to bring my little bro."
[His younger brother comes in.]
Lincoln: "No problem. Hey, Rocky. Make yourself at home."
Rocky: [Fist bumps him] "Thanks, man."
"It's your debut bro!" Rusty said, ruffling his little brother's hair.
"Yep. I'm there alright." Rocky smiled.
Lincoln: [To Rusty] "Did you bring Uranus?"
Rusty: [pulls out the model planet.] "Never leave home without it."
The guys, as well as Lynn, Lana, and Ronnie Anne, snickered while Luan blew a kiss and said, "Goodnight everybody!"
"Oh grow up." Lori huffed.
[Later, Rusty and Lincoln are finishing their science project. Rocky is seen playing with his baseball. Lucy walks out of the kitchen and sees Rocky.]
Lucy: "Gasp." [becomes infatuated with Rocky.] "Oh..." [Spills the molasses she is holding.]
"EEEEEEEE! SHE'S IN LOVE!" Sid squealed happily.
The other Loud sisters along with Carlota, Carol, Becky, Dana, Sam, Margo, and Paula squealed excitedly too while Lucy and Rocky blushed.
"Make them stop the squealing!" Carl groaned, covering his ears.
"Now you know how I feel." Lincoln said to Lucy.
"My first little girl after Lincoln was born, in love." Lynn Sr. sniffed, wiping away some tears as Rita comforted him.
"Our little goth girl is growing up." Rita said happily.
[Lincoln, Rusty, and Rocky hear Lucy. However, she disappears, leaving footsteps of molasses into the living room.]
Lincoln: "What the?"
[Rocky is playing on his video game portable on the living room couch.]
Lucy: [Sticks her head out of the fireplace.] "Sigh."
[Rocky puts down the game portable. However, Lucy disappears again.]
Rocky: "I gotta pee."
Lincoln: "Bathroom's upstairs and down the hall to the left."
[As Rocky goes to the bathroom, Lucy hangs upside down from the vent.]
Lucy: "Sigh."
[As Rocky turns around, Lucy disappeared.]
Rocky: [confused] "Hello?"
"No offence, but it kinda looks like you're stalking him." said Stella.
"At least she's better than the girls and Mr. Loud with Hugh." said Zach, making said Louds blush in embarrassment.
[Outside, as Rocky plays soccer, Lucy sticks her head out of Charles' doghouse.]
Lucy: "Sigh."
[As Rocky turns around, Lucy disappeared again and Charles shows up instead as he drags his butt to leave.]
"What a switch!" quipped Adelaide.
Lucy: "Sigh." [Cut to Lucy's bedroom] "I know he's not really my type. But he's so-" [looks out of the window] "what's the word my sisters use? Cute."
"C'mon, I'm not that cute." Rocky pouted.
"Oh you kinda are." teased Sam.
"Yeah you and Lincoln are totes adorable boys." giggled Leni.
"Just like Carl and CJ." giggled Carlota.
Lincoln, CJ, Carl, and Rocky blushed in embarrassment while the girls giggled.
Lucy: [Carries Edwin] "Don't worry, Edwin. You'll always be my undead soul mate. But until we're united, it'd be cool to have someone to hang with." [Edwin just sits there] "You think I should just talk to him?" [Pats Edwin] "I knew you'd understand."
Everyone stared.
"You do realize that Edwin is a bust of a fictional TV character, right?" asked Polly.
"Well he is someone I can talk to if my family isn't around." huffed Lucy.
"I feel the same with Mr. Coconuts." said Luan. "Huh. No wonder Joe made us roommates."
[In the kitchen, Rocky opens the refrigerator door. He spots Lucy's container of fake blood. From that, he takes it. Then he closes the refrigerator door.]
Lucy: "I see you found my blood."
[Rocky gets startled, making him jump and throw the container. The fake blood splatters on him.]
Lucy: "It's my new recipe. Beet juice, molasses, and cocoa powder. Hmm." [Pulls Rocky's shirt.] "Now it's got the ooze but not the splatter." [Holds out her hand.] "Hi, I'm Lucy."
"Wow, talk about first impressions." said Ronnie Anne.
"Sigh. That could've gone better." groaned Lucy.
"Well at least you didn't give uo." Lincoln pointed out, making Lucy smile a little.
[Rocky freezes for a moment, then runs away, much to Lucy's disappointment. He later walks out of the bathroom.]
Lucy: [Holding one of Lincoln's shirts on a hanger.] "Thought you might want a clean shirt." [Rocky stops himself into a halt.] "Just to be clear, it's my brother's." [Rocky backs away] "I would never wear something so offensively cheerful."
"At least it was the thought that counted." said Frida.
"Were you that scattered of Lucy?" asked Girl Jordan.
"No spoilers." Rocky replied, confusing Girl Jordan.
Rocky: [Starts falling down the stairs.] "Ah!"
[Rocky lands, gets up, uninjured, and runs out of the door. Lincoln and Rusty take a peek out of the dining room.]
Rusty: "Was that Rocky? Sorry, Lincoln, you'll have to finish the project." [Opens and closes the door to go after his brother.]
"Were you ok Rocky?" Stella asked in concern.
"Yeah I was fine." he replied.
"I was wondering why he had red splotches on his shirt." murmured Rusty.
Lincoln: [Walks to Lucy, who is sitting on the couch.] "What happened?"
Lucy: "I keep trying to talk to Rocky but every time he runs away from me." [curls herself up] "What am I doing wrong?"
Lincoln: "Well, what are you talking to him about?"
Lucy: "The usual stuff. Blood, bruises." [Lucy's bats fly onto her head.] "I didn't even get a chance to show him my new embalming kit."
"Embalming kit?" Maria asked in surprise.
"What bobo makes that kind of merchandise?" asked Hetcor.
"Or even sell one to a child no less?!" added Rosa.
Lincoln: "You know, maybe he's just not into that kind of stuff."
Lucy: "Then, what is he into?"
Lincoln: "I don't know him very well but he just seems like a regular, normal kid."
Lucy: "Regular and normal. Hmm..." [Walks up the stairs] "Regular and normal."
"Lincoln!" Rita and Lynn Sr, exclaimed, making Lincoln jump.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" Lucy and Rocky demanded.
"You saying I'm not anything special?" asked Rocky.
"You saying that I'm a freak?" Lucy demanded.
"Ah, so you're the one that made Lucy question herself." Lori glared.
"How could you just insult Lucy like that?" Leni frowned.
"Bad choice of words son…" Lynn Sr. said, shaking his head.
"That's my brother you're talking about!" Rusty shouted.
"I- I didn't mean it like that! I just thought that Rocky wasn't into bats, and blood, and that kind of stuff." Lincoln said nervously.
"So being into bats and blood makes me not normal?" Lucy growled.
"No, no, no, no! That's not what I mean either! Your interests make you special, Lucy!" Lincoln quickly said.
"So because I didn't share the same interests as Lucy, I'm wasn't special?" Rocky asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Not cool man!" Rusty huffed.
"No, no, no, I-" Lincoln stammered.
Suddenly, Lucy and Rocky began to laugh, much to Lincoln and even everyone else's confusion.
"It's fine, Lincoln." chuckled Rocky.
"We know what you meant." added Lucy with a smirk.
Lincoln sighed in relief. "Thanks guys." he said.
Ronnie Anne chuckled. "Did you guys just prank Lincoln for a sec there?" she asked.
"We might be dark, but that doesn't mean we don't have a sense of humor." Lucy smirked.
"Aw, you really are cute together…" Sid cooed with a smile.
"Great minds think alike." Rocky smiled.
Rusty and the rest of the Loud Family look at each other, embarrassed.
"Uh, yeah! Of course! We were just joking around. We knew what you meant…" Lynn Sr. said nervously.
"Yeah, yeah, everything's fine." Lori giggled nervously.
"No hard feelings. Haha…" Rusty said sheepishly.
Lincoln, Lucy, and Rocky eye them suspiciously.
"Are you sure about that?..." came Joe's voice.
"Either way. I'm sorry for insulting you." Lincoln said to Lucy.
"It's fine. I know not everyone is into bats, blood, and all that. Not everyone can share the same interests." Lucy replied with a hand wave.
"Though I am glad I gave you a chance." Rocky smield.
"Aw." Lucy smiled back before facing Lincoln again. "Before you said it… no, it wasn't your fault. And i'm not saying that to make you feel better. You didn't know Rocky and he doesn't look like someone like me, so you wouldn't know he and I shared anything. All that happened was more mine and our sisters' fault. In fact (tries to hide a big smile) it was thanks to you I was able to connect with him."
Lincoln smiled and gave Lucy a side hug, bringing her closer to him. The black-haired girl actually snuggles to him, happy for once.
The scene made everyone smile.
[It is nighttime in the house.]
Lori: "Lola! Did you take my Red Riot lipstick again?!"
Lola: [Opens her bedroom door] "No, but someone took my perfume. I bet it was Leni!"
[The door to the bathroom opens, where Leni is seen inside.]
Leni: "Was not! But I'd like to know who took my pink chiffon dress, Lori!"
[Lori, Leni, and Lola start arguing.]
Leni: "Where do you get off?!"
Lori: "You are literally the one always stretching out my sweaters every time you borrow them!"
Leni: "Fess up!"
Lola: "That's my scent! I can't let people associate it with you!"
Lori: "We can do this the hard way, or-"
Leni: "Fess up!"
"I swear to god if this goes into another Sister Fight Protocol..." Ronnie Anne said in annoyance.
"Don't worry, it didn't." assured Lori.
Lola: [turns around] "Hang on, I smell my perfume!" [Sniffs up the pink scent leading her to Lynn and Lucy's room.] "LYNN! You'd better not be using my perfume to cover the stink of your hockey pads!"
"Please, the stench is what makes them work." Lynn huffed.
"That is just disgusting." gagged Sameer.
"And really unsanitary for your hygiene." added Arturo.
[The three sisters open the door, prepared to wail on Lynn, but gasp and it pans to show Lucy using Lola's perfume, which she tries to hide, and wearing Lori's lipstick and Leni's dress.]
Everyone's jaws dropped.
"What in the name of…" Hector trailed off.
"Lucy took all of that stuff?" asked Nikki.
"Huh, so she has worn pink before." murmured Skippy.
"I'm guessing you've never had experience with make up before." Mandee said to Lucy. "Unless it was goth-themed."
"Unfortunately." Lucy sighed in embarrassment.
Lori: [curious] "What are you doing?"
Lucy: "I-I-I...I thought if I could be more regular and normal, Rusty's brother Rocky would like me." [Offers the perfume.] "Sorry I took your stuff. I understand if you're mad." [Lola leaves the room]
Lori: [stomps her feet in anger] "You're darn right we're mad!" [Lucy is down; excited] "Mad you didn't let us help!"
Leni: "Yeah, we've been wanting to give you a makeover since, like, birth!"
"But why? She looks fine the way she is." Albert said, confused.
"We thought her gothness since birth was just a phase." said Leni.
"Guess only time will tell." shrugged Rita.
Lola: [comes back in with a big cardboard collage of fashion models with Lucy's face plastered all over their own.] "I've been working on this Lucy vision board for years! Until now, it was just a fantasy."
Everyone was creeped out by the board.
"Good gravy, that's creepy." shuddered Giggles.
"Do you guys have something like that planed for me?" Lincoln asked.
"Yes we do little bro but we're waiting for you and Ronnie Anne to become a real couple." Lori smirked.
Lincoln and Ronnie Anne blushd and Sid giggled.
"Girls, even if Lincoln wants to be with Ronnie Anne or any other person, what he decides to dress like will be his decision." said Rita.
"And he'll only come to you when he needs it." Lynn Sr. added.
Lori: [calls her other sisters] "GUYS! IT'S LITERALLY HAPPENING! LUCY'S FINALLY READY!"
[The others get out their beauty gear.]
"Oh dear." said Carlos.
"This is gonna be… interesting." said Norm.
"Have you ladies really been ready ever since she was born?" Chunk asked.
"Like you wouldn't imagine Chunk." Luna replied.
"I don't even know what to make of that." said Zach.
Lucy: "Will this hurt?"
[The girls all start giving her a makeover. This results in Lucy looking like a cheerleader.]
Sisters: "Too peppy."
"Agreed." several people said.
[They give her another makeover and this time, the result is Lucy as an 80's diva.]
Sisters: "Too poofy."
"Eh, the 80's will come back." said Lynn Sr.
"You said it." nodded Kotaro.
"And now she looks like Peg Bundy." commented Mrs. Johnson.
[They try again and this time, Lucy looks like a fancy princess.]
Sisters: "Too princess-y."
"I dunno, she looks good as a princess." said Adelaide.
"Well we are descended from royalty." Lincoln whispered to Lucy.
"Yes we are my Duke." Lucy smirked as the two high-fived.
[One more makeover results in Lucy wearing hot pink and having blonde hair.]
Sisters: "Too...PERFECT!"
Everyone (minus the sisters) and especially the Mortician's jaws dropped to the ground at the sight of Past Lucy's self.
"What…" began Carl.
"The." continued CJ.
Carlitos finished with incoherent babbling.
"I… look… disgusting!" Lucy exclaimed as she started crying into Lincoln's chest.
Lincoln hugged Lucy in comfort and growled at his sisters, "ARE YOU GUYS REALLY THAT STUPID?! LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE!" he shouted.
The sisters were taken aback by Lincoln's outburst.
"Girls!" Lynn Sr. and Rita exclaimed.
"How could you change her into something she's not?!" exclaimed Rita.
"She was fine just the way she is!" Lynn Sr. added.
Lincoln turned to Morticians and saw them stifle their giggling, but stopped when they saw his hard glare. "You guys got anything funny you want to say to Lucy?!" he demanded.
The Morticians shook their heads vigorously to say, "No."
Lincoln gave them the "I'm watching you" look and shook a fist at them. The Morticians gulped nervously.
"Woah, I've never seen you so protective before." Ronnie Anne said in amazement.
"I never let anyone mess with my younger siblings, especially Lucy and Lily." said Lincoln since he knew Lana and Lola were tough together and Lisa wasn't phased by any insults.
Lily and Lucy hugged their brother, and Ronnie Anne smiled at her friend.
'Another thing that I love about him.' she said as she looked dreamily at Lincoln.
Lucy: [examines her new look with her pet bat perching on her head.] "Hmm...I can live with this.
"Sigh... I don't know why you thought it was a good idea to try and make me look different for Rocky." Lucy sighed as she calmed down and pulled away from Lincoln's chest.
Rocky replied, "I appreciate your efforts in trying to beautify her for me, but... that looks nothing like the gothic angel that I've come to adore with my being." Lucy felt her face turn red. The Morticians' Club did not look impressed, either, having gotten over how ridiculous Lucy looked.
Lucy then continued, "Also, I hope you realize that you're doing it again."
Lori asked, "Doing what exactly?"
Lincoln cut in, "Meddling in her affairs like you did mine. Did no one learn anything from what happens when you guys try to help with love matters?"
They felt stupid, remembering how their attempt to help Lincoln with Ronnie Anne went south, misconstruing it as Ronnie Anne having a crush.
Lucy: What do you think, Fangs?"
Lola: [shoos Fangs away] "Eww, eww! No more bats!"
Luna: "Yeah, and do not talk about mortality."
Leni: "Or death."
Lana: "Or ask him his blood type."
Lori: "Or suggest a cemetery for a date."
Luan: "And make sure you laugh at all of his jokes. Like this." [laughs heartily]
Lucy: [not even trying] "Ha ha. Ha. Ha ha."
Lynn: "Oh, and talk about sports. Guys really dig that."
Lisa: "If all else fails, try a little of my patented pizza spray, scientifically proven to attract eight-year-old boys."
[Lisa sprays some on Lucy while the other sisters cough in disgust.]
Lucy: "Gag."
Lisa: "Note to self: go lighter on the anchovies."
"Pizza flavored calonge?" asked Carl. "That actually sounds cool, minus the large amount of anchovies."
"OK, here comes another 'Girl Guru' incident, only this time, it's changed to the boys." Zach grunted.
"What are you talking about, bra?" Luna asked the bespectacled redhead.
"Remember, last time ya told Lincoln that girls are not the same. But now I think ya didn't realize that boys are not always the same too." said Liam.
"Yeah, not all boys are into sports," said Clyde.
"There are some boys who do like feminine stuff like how some girls like masucline stuff." added Miguel.
"Some boys actually do like spooky stuff like Lucy and her club." added Bobby.
"So basically, you guys are being hypocrites again," said Stella with a frown.
"And once again, this happened when only Lori had a significant other." added Ronnie Anne.
The girls cringed, realizing that they were right.
[Cliff suddenly attacks Lucy due to the spray and she nonchalantly screams at this attack and runs out of her room while passing Lincoln with his completed project.]
"Wait… what's that?" Mrs. Johnson asked Lincoln.
"Ehhh…" Lincoln stammered, getting nervous. "What do you mean Mrs. Johnson?"
His former teacher turned to him.
"That's NOT the project you and Mr. Spokes submitted." Agnes replied.
"Well… our original project was ruined by Lincoln's dog." Rusty replied before turning to Lincoln. "Right?"
Charles rolled his eyes.
Lincoln began sweating, causing Mrs. Johnson to look at him suspiciously. More since he gave quick gazes towards Principal Huggins and Principal Ramirez.
"Please tell me this isn't what I think it will be?" she groaned.
[Fangs comes flying out and almost hits Lincoln and his project.]
Lincoln: [confused] "Who was that?"
[The sisters except Lucy pop their heads through the doorway.]
Lori: "The new and improved, regular and normal Lucy!"
Leni: "AKA the future Mrs. Rocky!"
Lincoln: "So, that's how you're helping Lucy? I don't know, guys. That seems like a really-"
Lisa: "Oh, please. As if a male would have any insight into matters of the heart."
"Yeah I agree with past me… that change really DOESN'T fit Lucy… she looks quite... " Lincoln began while trying to find the right words. "...Fake."
Lola looked annoyed.
"Hey! I... I mean WE put a lot of effort on her and she looked perfect!" she snapped.
"Perfect like you?" Lincoln asked.
Lola nods
"Then yeah, fake."
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" Lola shouted in anger.
"Look Lola, I get you like how you look, but if U learned something from the 'photo incident' it's that you can't force others to look as YOU want because it won't be real and only will hurt them ." Lincoln replied.
"Come on Lincoln... literally this isn't like that." Lori protested. "Here we are helping her to get the attention of the boy she wanted."
"A boy who you don't know anything about and that you are seemingly using 'magazine advice' again?" Stella deadpanned.
"And what's this about men not knowing anything about love?" Hector asked, raising an eyebrow at Lisa.
"I will have you know my abuelo knows a lot about love." Bobby said.
"And believe me, he can be quite the don juan when he wants." Rosa said in agreement.
Hector winked at her, somehow with a rose in his mouth and his guitar at hand making her blush.
"Also, are you going to say Bobby hasn't done anything to make you fall for him?" Ronnie Anne asked Lori.
"What?! ...No of course not! ...It's just...we were just giving advice to Lucy…"Lori stammered.
"You have to admit you don't have the best record when it comes to giving love advice." Ronnie Anne said before going into a low voice. "And I said it for experience."
The Loud sisters winced at that.
Luna: "You just get Rocky back here, bro."
Lincoln: "How am I supposed to do that?"
Luan: "Get Rusty to bring him. Don't you guys have more work to do on your project?"
Lincoln: "Nope. All finished."
Lynn: [smashes the project with her hockey stick.] "Not anymore."
Everyone's, especially Rusty's, jaws dropped in shock, disbelief, and anger. They then glared at the girls, especially Lynn while Lucy and Lily were spared.
Mrs. Johnson sighed. "It was." she groaned.
"LYNN LOUD JR!" Lynn Sr., Rita, and Albert snapped angrily.
"Come on guys, it was for a good cause! It was Lucy's first love!" Lynn argued.
"How is THAT an excuse?!" Rita snapped. She looked on in anger and nervousness as she noticed the principals giving them dirty eyes and pulling out their notebooks again.
"That was his and Rusty's science project you idiot!" snapped Clyde.
"OK, this is the fourth time you ruined Lincoln's school project!" Girl Jordan said in anger.
"And this time, you did it on purpose just because you just want someone to come back." Mollie added in disgust.
"Well how else was Lucy supposed to meet with Rocky again?" Lynn asked.
"I don't know, Miss Loud… how about asking your brother to text Mr. Spokes and ask for help?" Principal Rivers deadpanned.
"Oh please that would take the romantic part out of the encounter." Lola huffed.
Principal Ramirez raised an eyebrow. "And taking a good note out of your brother's record would not be bad?" she asked, making Lola falter her indigent expression.
"Not to mention this time it is not only your brother you are affecting." Principal Huggins added with a frown.
Lynn saw Lincoln and her teammates glaring hard at her. Lincoln then reached into her pocket, took out her club and broke it in half. Lincoln handed her broken club back to her.
Lynn sighed. "I deserved that."
"You know, you could've invited me over for something else." Rusty pointed out.
"Yeah he's right I could've just had him come over to play video games." Lincoln said in agreement.
"I would've tagged along if he offered." Rocky added.
Principal Ramirez turned to Lincoln. "I'm sorry Lincoln, but this time I'm afraid I Can't keep quiet." she said, writing down more things. "Intentional destruction of school projects, sabotaging of tutoring, harassment of tutor…" She turned to the Loud parents who paled. "All of it in presence of the parents, with the support of the parents, AND without any consequences given by said parents… IN ALL OF THE INCIDENTS!" she yelled.
"You kept track of that?!" Lynn asked, shocked.
"And those are the ones we have seen for now in just 2 seasons of this show. Who knows how many we have not seen or will see in the next ones." Principal Huggins said, before turning to the Louds. "As I said before Louds, if we saw any more incidents like this, we would have words, so we decided to list them down, so be warned..." Huggins said with a glare.
The Loud sisters gulped in fright…
"Whelp, they've gone and done it now." Sergio snarked.
"Not now Sergio!" Rosa said firmly, clamping Sergio's beak shut with her hand.
'That wasn't even the worst of it.' Lincoln, Clyde, Ronnie Anne, Bobby, and Mr. Grouse thought in unison.
[Lincoln and Rusty are fixing up the damage Lynn caused to the project.]
Rusty: [suspicious] "So, the dog did this?"
Lincoln: "Uh, yup." [feigning discipline] "Bad Charles!"
[Charles whimpers and drags his butt across the carpet in frustration.]
"Sorry Charles, but I wasn't even sure how to tell Rusty what had happened." Lincoln said to his dog.
Charles just snuggled against Lincoln's leg in forgiveness.
[Lucy is coming down the stairs. She slips in her new shoes but quickly regains her balance and poses for Rocky. The other girls are looking toward this eagerly, but Rocky doesn't seem to notice Lucy. Leni signals Lucy to flip her hair at him.]
"Well that looks familiar doesn't it?" Lincoln commented.
"You mean all those times I would come over and they would watch us from the stairs?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"Yup." Lincoln nodded.
Rita, Lynn Sr., and Albert raised eyebrows at the girls who grinned sheepishly.
"They just looked so cute together!" Leni exclaimed.
"And yet they weren't even on a date." Rita pointed out.
Lucy: [flipping hair] "OMG, Rocky. It's totes great to see you."
Rocky: "Um...who are you?"
Lucy: "I'm Lucy."
Rocky: "Oh. Uh...I didn't recognize you."
"Yeah that really wasn't the look for Lucy." Adelaide said.
"Some things are best left alone." Becky said in agreement.
[Enter Lori dragging Bobby into the house while pretending to be on a call on her phone.]
Lori: [acting] "You can't make it to mini-golf? But we already bought four tickets!"
[Bobby looks at Lucy in perplexity over her new look and Lori nudges him for his cue.]
"I agree with you Bobby." Carl said.
"Uh… what are you doing?" Benny asked.
"Trying to do a double date with Lucy, Rocky, Bobby, and I." Lori replied.
"Oh boy…" muttered Boris.
"This oughta be something." said Mr. Grouse, munching on his popcorn.
Bobby: [reading something on his arm.] "Oh, um, right! Um, maybe we should...invite two other people to come?"
Luan just had a flat expression on her face and she asked, "Hey, Bobby, no offense but Tommy Wiseau of 'The Room' called. He wants his terrible acting back. Seriously though, what was that?!"
Lynn snarked, "Oh, right... and your obvious puns are any better than his acting?"
Before Luan and Lynn could argue about her comedy, Lincoln cut in, "Yeah, no offense, man, but that really sucked. I felt a piece of my soul dying."
Lucy said, alarmed, "Do I need to perform an emergency ritual to get your soul back?!"
Lucy was about to have her club and herself ready to perform a ritual, but Lincoln said, "That won't be necessary! Anyway, let me say a bit more than that..."
Lincoln then talked as if he was reading from a cue card, "Your acting was more like this. 'Oh, what a beautiful day it is today! I think I will take a walk on this fantastically sunny day! (Walk a few paces, stage left)'." His walking looked so forced and wooden, it made everyone cringe. He even read the stage directions, as if what came before this was not painful enough.
Luan screamed, "Stop, stop, stop! Please, I can't bare anymore!"
Bobby's face turned crimson, and he explained why his acting was so bad, "To be fair, Lori didn't exactly give me the time I needed to prepare..."
Luan said, "Yeah, that explains a lot."
"It also explains why Lori suddenly dragged Bobby out of the house that day." Ronnie Anne said, making Lori giggle sheepishly.
Lori: [gasping and acting] "What a great idea! Anyone? Lucy?"
Lucy: [acting] "I'm supposed to meet my girlfriends at the mall, but...YOLO."
"Oh my god." Miguel facepalmed.
"Sigh. This is unbearable to relive." Lucy sighed.
"It's all in the past now Lucy." said Haiku, patting Lucy on the back.
[Lori nudges Bobby for his cue again.]
Bobby: "Oh!" [reading his arm script] "If only there was another guy to round out the foursome."
Lori: "You're free, right, Rocky?" [grabs his arm] "Great!"
[Lori and Lucy eagerly leave with their confused dates while the other sisters grin with hope.]
"This is gonna be interesting." said Fiona.
"On the plus side, Lucy and Rocky are spending time together." said Sam.
"Si, but it's not the kind of Lucy Rocky truly knows." Frida pointed out.
Rusty: [hits on them] "Any of you other ladies looking for a date?"
[They all just back away upstairs after hearing that.]
"Tough break Rust." Liam said in sympathy.
"Yeah no offence Rust-Man, but you were out of our league." Luna said apologetically.
"No worries." said Rusty. "There are other fish in the sea."
"Or they might just be closer than you think." said Polly, making Rusty blush and her giggle.
[It's night time at Hole In One-derland. The dates are playing a game.]
Lori: "Just follow my lead, and remember, regular and normal."
[Lucy nods. Lori swings and misses her ball on purpose.]
Lori: [acting] "Oops!" [giggles] "Boo Boo Bear, what am I doing wrong? Can you help me?"
Bobby: [oblivious] "But, Babe, you're on the Varsity Golf-"[Lori hits him with her putter.] "OW! I mean, sure, Babe. I'll help you." [shows her] "Okay, just square your shoulders and follow through."
"I know they're acting, but that does look pretty cute." said Carlota.
[They putt together. Lori looks over to Lucy who gives her a thumbs up, but thinks Lori means hit Rocky in the leg with the club, and does so.]
Lucy: "Oops." [tosses her putter]
Rocky: "Ow! What was that for?"
Lucy: "I thought uh, um, uh, how about that Baseball team that played the other night?" [nervously grins as Rocky looks on confused.]
"This is cringe." said Zach.
"No argument here." Lucy and Rocky said in unison.
"Yeah I guess I should've emphasized that better." Lori sighed.
"Well at least you were trying to help." Carol pointed out.
[The next hole, Bobby putts his ball through the windmill and sinks it.]
"Nice shot Bobby!" praised Joey.
"You practice often?" asked Lynn.
"Oh yeah. I love playing golf with Lori." Bobby replied, making Lori giggle.
Lori: "Ooh." [chuckles and claps] "Great shot, Boo Boo Bear." [giggles]
Bobby: "That one's for you, babe." [pokes her nose]
Lori: "Aw!" [giggles and playfully shoves Bobby]
"They're so adorable together!" Frida sobbed.
"No offence Ronnie Anne, but your aunt is-" began Lana.
"A total water works? Agreed." Ronnie Anne replied.
[Rocky steps up to the putting position and hits his ball, making it fly everywhere in the course.]
Lucy: "Ooh, great shot, Rocky Bear."
Rocky: [Confused] "What? I totally shanked it. My ball went down a rain gutter."
Lucy: "Ha ha. Ha ha. You're so funny." [pushes him]
Rocky: "Ah!" [falls into the water hazard.]
"Groan." Lucy groned, covering her face.
"Hey, you were still new to dating honey." said Rita.
"Your mother's right. You'll get better as you go along." Lynn Sr. added.
Lucy smiled gratefully at her parents. She turned to Rocky. "Sorry about that though." she said.
"No worries." Rocky smiled.
[On the haunted hole, Rocky sinks his ball into the cup.]
Bobby: "Good shot, bro." [fist bumps Rocky]
Lori: [feigning fear] "Ooh, this hole is creepy! Right, Lucy?"
"Oh boy." mused Carol.
"The 'Fake Frightened Girlfriend' routine." mused Sam.
"Wonder how this will go." pondered Stella.
[Lucy is admiring a casket.]
Lucy: "Whoa. The Freilich 2000 with crushed velvet interior. I've only seen these in catalogues." [opens it up and prepares to get in.]
"Ah yes, very unique caskets." nodded Persephone.
Lori: [pulling her sister back] "Lucy, no no no!" [whispering] "Regular and normal!"
[When Lori pulls Lucy free, she accidentally hits Rocky who lands inside a coffin screaming all the way.]
"Jeez, don't take this the wrong way but I can't help but feel I'm watching a horror movie." said Rusty.
"She is actually being less careful than usual." said Lola. "In a good day you can't hear even a sigh before she leaves or arrives. (shudders) It's creepy."
"No surprise she and my brother like each other." Rusty said.
Rocky and Lucy blushed.
[Back at the Loud House, the other girls are waiting around for Lori and Lucy to get back. Lola is pacing the floor, Lana is adding her booger to Lisa's chemical, Lynn - rather bored - throws and catches a baseball in the air, Luna is playing a ditty on her acoustic guitar, Luan is reading a book, and Leni is playing with Lily. Soon, their dating sisters get back and they're eager to hear what happened.]
Lola: "TELL ME EVERYTHING! TELL ME EVERYTHING!"
Leni: "Are you totes in love?"
Lucy: [taking her pink shoes off; depressed.] "No. We are totes not."
"Sorry to hear that Lucy." Nikki said sympathetically.
"It's fine." said Lucy.
Lori: "Lucy, wait. We're sorry we pushed you so hard."
Sisters: "Sorry."
Lori: "We got a little too excited when you said you wanted to be normal and regular, like us. But you're not those things. You're Lucy Loud. You're perfect just the way you are. And we love you."
"And we always will." Lincoln said with a smile, matched by his sisters, parents, and grandparent.
Lucy smiled appreciatively as she hugged Lincoln.
Lucy: "Sigh. There's no need to apologize. I know you were just trying to help, and I thank you. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go sit in the dark. That always cheers me up." [heads upstairs]
Lori: "Well, lesson learned: You can take the girl out of the coffin, but you can't take the coffin out of the girl."
"Actually, the lesson here is that some people are better just the way they are." said Lynn Sr.
"Unless they're bad people like thieves or murderers." Grant pointed out.
Lincoln then pointed out, "Also, how come it's alright when you guys want to change somebody to be a superficial, shallow caricature and that's perfectly fine, but when I tried to do the same thing because all I wanted was a normal picture, I'm the villain for it? How was that fair?" He then sat there, waiting for an answer.
"Wow, hypocrisy at its finest." Ronnie Anne said, unamused.
"First you say that Lincoln doesn't know anything about girls and yet you think you know everything about boys..." began Stella.
"And then you're offended when Lincoln tries to change you into other people yet it's ok to change Lucy into something she's not." added Sid.
The Loud sisters traded nervous glances.
"I guess we never saw it that way." Luan muttered.
"Seems to be a lot you're not seeing." Sergio snarked, only to get smacked upside the head by Lalo. "Watch it!" he squawked.
[Lincoln has just finished his project again and hears Lucy through the doorway.]
Lucy: "Well, Edwin. Rocky doesn't like me as myself. He doesn't like me as a regular, normal girl. He just doesn't like me." [takes off her accessories] "Sigh. I was a fool to think it could ever work with a mortal being." [pulls out her coffin and sits in it in despondence.]
Lincoln: "Poor kid."
Everyone gave Lucy sympathetic looks.
"I'm sorry if I made you feel that way." Rocky said apologetically.
"Don't blame yourself Rocky." Lucy said with a reassuring look. "I should've just been myself around you. Or at least the first time toned down my love for the macabre so I could get to know you better. Just to be sure."
"That's some mature junk there Luc." Lynn smiled.
"But good mature junk." added Lori.
Lucy: "Fangs, bedtime."
[Fangs comes swooping by and knocks Lincoln's project out of his hand, thus destroying it.]
Lincoln: "Dang it."
"Oh come on!" groaned Ronnie Anne.
"Now their project is ruined again!" groaned
"Fangs!" Lucy said with a glare.
Fangs screeched apologetically.
"Don't worry, it was an accident," said Lincoln.
"And not on purpose this time." said Margo as she glared at Lynn, making her wince.
[The next day at Rusty's house. Lincoln and Rusty have finished the project yet again.]
Rusty: "There we go. Now, as long as we keep it far away from your house, we should be done."
"Way harsh dude." Luna said to Rusty.
"While Fangs wrecking it was an accident, you let Lynn intentionally destroy their project." Haiku frowned.
"Point taken." Luna relented.
[Rocky comes walking by covered in some red substance. Which horrifies Rusty]
Everyone screamed in alarm again. Lynn Sr., Bobby, Howard, Harold, Principal Huggins, Frida, and Laird fainted… also again.
Rusty: "AH! ROCKY! YOU'RE BLEEDING!" [gasps and faints in horror]
[Lincoln looks over his project partner's state.]
Rocky: "Don't worry, man. Rusty faints all the time."
"Not as much as my dad." said Clyde.
"And Tia Frida." added Ronnie Anne as those who had fainted were woken up.
Lincoln: [caring] "Yeah, but are you alright?"
"Such a sweet boy." smiled Rosa.
"Just being considerate." Lincoln said.
Rocky: "Oh, yeah. This is fake blood."
Lincoln: "Why would you have fake blood?"
Rocky: "I saw Lucy making it at your house, and it seemed kinda cool, so I thought I'd give it a try. Anyway..." [walks off]
"Wait, so you like the macabre too?" Jackie asked.
"Yeah, I actually find it pretty cool." said Rocky.
"What a twist!" said Sergio.
[Lincoln gets an idea and bumps the project off the table with his butt.]
Lincoln: [feigning] "Oops."
Rusty: [coming to] "Wha...what happened?"
Lincoln: "Uh...you fainted and broke our solar system."
Rusty: "Aw, man!"
Rusty gave Lincoln an unamused look, making him chuckle sheepishly.
"So that time you yourself intentionally destroyed your project?" Mrs. Johnson asked, surprised and confused.
Lincoln chuckled nervously.
"You know you can just told me instead of doing that! We could have gotten an A!" Rusty exclaimed.
"I know I know! Lincoln said apologetically. "I'm sorry, but I wasn't sure how to approach it. I mean, at the time you, Liam, and Zach weren't as used to my sisters as Clyde was. And I wasn't sure if you would be keen on the idea of Lucy and Rocky being together since you've seen how spooky Lucy can be, as well as to the fact that I wasn't sure how you would've reacted the first time when you learned that Rocky was into the macabre."
"He does have a point." said Clyde. "'Hey Rusty, mind if you and I bring Rocky over to my house to see Lucy? Turns out your little brother likes the same stuff Lucy likes.' No offence you two."
"None taken." Lucy and Rocky replied.
Rusty conceded their points. "Yeah I guess you're right." he shrugged.
"Sorry for pinning the blame on you." Lincoln apologized.
"Eh, water under the bridge." Rusty replied.
Lincoln: "That's okay. We can fix it at my house. I have an extra Jupiter."
Rusty: [unsure] "Your house?"
Lincoln: "Well, our project isn't any safer here."
Rusty: "I guess you're right. Come on, Rock! Let's roll!"
Everyone laughed.
"Now that was a good one." giggled Luan while Rusty smirked.
[The Loud House. Rusty and Lincoln are once again repairing their project while Rocky is playing video games.]
Rusty: "Done! Form a protective perimeter."
[He and Lincoln surround their solar system with their arms.]
"Good call." Chunk said approvingly.
[While that's going on, Lincoln notices Lucy coming into the kitchen, back to her usual goth self while trying to avoid Rocky.]
Lincoln: "Hey, Rocky, grab us some sodas from the kitchen, will ya?"
[Rocky shrugs and goes to the kitchen. Lucy puts in some more fake blood and just as she closes the door, Rocky's shown to be behind it and for once, she's the one who gets startled.]
Lucy: "Yah!" [realizes] "Oh. Hi."
"Well this is the first time Lucy got startled by someone else." commented Paula.
"Now I know how everyone else felt." Lucy murmured.
Rocky: [with sodas] "Uh, hi. You changed your hair back."
Lucy: "Yeah, the blonde wasn't really me. I was trying to be regular and normal, but I think I'm just gonna be myself."
Rocky: "I'm really glad to hear that."
Lucy: "Thanks. Well, see you later." [Starts to leave, but then realizes] "Wait. You are?" [Rocky grows a confused look] "But when we first met, you kept running away. I thought I freaked you out."
Rocky: "To be honest, I thought you were too cool for me, and I couldn't think of anything to say, so I just ran."
"Aww, that's so sweet!" cooed Carol.
"So you two really do like each other!" gushed Sid.
"It's so romantic!" Frida sobbed as tears poured out of her eyes.
[The two realize they have more in common, feel themselves blushing, and turn away.]
Lucy: "Hey, uh, my coffin collection's in the basement. Wanna check it out?"
Rocky: "Sure. That'd be really fun. As long as I don't have to get in one."
Lucy: "Deal."
[Rocky gives Lucy one of the sodas he was holding, and Lucy turns to Lincoln and gives him a thumbs-up as thanks.]
"AWWWWW!" all the girls cooed.
"That's my sis/bro!" Lincoln and Rusty said with a smile.
Lynn Sr., Rita, and Albert smiled proudly at their daughter/granddaughter.
Lucy and Rocky blushed as they smiled at each other.
"Is anyone else getting Hotel Transylvania vibes?" asked Francisco.
Those who had seen the franchise nodded.
"Yeah, they're kinda like Mavis and Johnny." said Mollie.
"But they're practically Dennis and Winnie's ages." added Sid.
Rusty: [exhausted from their protecting their project.] "Can we stop? I'm feeling faint."
"Yeah, holding a pose like that for too long could do that." said Winston.
[The next day at school, Lincoln and Rusty are carefully bringing their project to avoid having it get ruined at the last second.]
Rusty: "Easy. Ah! Watch the pothole!"
Lincoln: "It's okay, Rusty. We spent all weekend on this, we're not gonna drop it now."
[Rocky and Lucy are right behind them with a container of fake blood.]
Lucy and Rocky: "Hey, guys."
[Both Lincoln and Rusty leap in the air and yelp while still holding onto their project.]
Rusty: "Phew. Good save, man!" [high fives Lincoln]
Lucy: "Sorry we scared you."
Rocky: "We just wanted to tell you we nailed the fake blood recipe."
Lucy: "We also threw in a few popcorn kernels for brain matter." [adds kernels]
[The sight of this makes Rusty pass out and drop the project, effectively destroying it one last time.]
Lincoln: [exasperated] "Dang it."
"You two couldn't have picked a worse time." groaned Margo.
"Yeah, sorry about that again." Lucy apologized.
"Don't worry. We were able to fix it." Lincoln said.
"And we got a B." said Rusty.
"But wait, how come we don't see Lucy and Rocky together more often?" asked Stella.
"Well we are 9." Lucy pointed out. "And that's a young age to date."
"But we do hang out every now and then." Rocky added.
"And Rocky's been keeping to himself a lot lately." said Rusty. "Mom and Dad say it's just a phase."
"Lots of people do go through it." Harold nodded.
"But if you two were together, what about that Silas kid?" asked Leni.
"Well we briefly broke up considering that we were young." said Lucy. "Around that time I took an interest in Silas and we tried to make it work out. But alas, it wasn't meant to be. We decided that we were good as just friends."
"Lucy and I realized that we truly cared about each other very much and wanted to get back together. So we did." said Rocky.
"I'm dating Silas now." added Haiku. "And yes, Lucy's ok with it."
"And I'm ok with Rocky and Lucy together now." said Rusty.
"Well that's good to hear." smiled Albert.
The sisters walked up to Lucy.
"I know we said this a year ago, but we're sorry that we tried to change you into something you're not for Rocky." said Lori.
"We should've gotten to know him better and not assume tat all male units are the same." added Lisa.
"Well your hearts were in the right place typing to help." Lincoln said.
"And that's why I won't hold anything against you for it." Lucy added, making the Loud sisters smile.
The happy moment was interrupted by Principal Huggins clearing his throat. He and Principal Ramirez were giving the Louds (except Lincoln and Lily) stern looks.
"While we are happy for Miss Loud and Mr. Spokes getting together." Principal Huggins said, giving the two a quick smile before returning to his stern expression. "There is still another matter that we have to discuss right now, Louds."
"Uh oh." Lily said as Lincoln held her close.
"While the second and fourth incidents with the project in this epsidoe were accidental and the third time were by Lincoln's own actions, the first time was the fourth time any of you have interfered with Lincoln's schoolwork!" Principal Ramirez said sternly.
"Was it really the fourth?" Leni asked nervously.
"While the diorama was understandable, first you willfully went back to using a large amount of electricity and water during his energy-saving project, forcing him to be a pedilign generator." said Huggins.
"And then you ate his chocolate for the school fair without his permission and didn't even bother replacing it." added Principal Rivers.
"And then you interrupted his tutoring session as well as harassed said tutor with, your father no less!" Huggins added. "And now this, with his solar system project!" he shouted gesturing to the screen.
"Not only was that intentional on Lynn Jr.'s part, but you also affected Mr. Spokes' grade the first time!" added Mrs. Johnson. "You should consider yourselves lucky that they were able to fix it despite the later, more understandable incidents."
The Louds gulped nervously.
"This is something that we cannot ignore when we get back!" Principal Ramirez said sternly. "It is clear to us that you all have been interfering with Lincoln's schoolwork at home, which is basically messing up his grades as a result, which can be pretty damning for his school record!"
"And said record can go on his personal record as well." Huggins added as he galred at the girls. "You're basically interfering with your brother's grades and not even give a thought as to how this will affect him while only thinking about yourselves." He furiously faced Mr. and Mrs. Loud. "And you two do nothing about it and just let everything run its course!"
"That's not true!" Lynn Sr., protested.
"If it wasn't, you would've made sure your daughters didn't cause any trouble for your son's homework assignments." Principal Ramirez said back.
"As Lincoln's principal and former principal, we have no choice but to report this to social services and see what they think on the matter of school work interference at home," said Principal Huggins.
Everybody gasped, especially the Louds, who were pale as ghosts.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Lincoln exclaimed. "Principal Huggins, Principal Ramirez, there is no need to go that far!"
"I'm really sorry Lincoln, but it's our job to do so." Principal Ramirez sighed.
"Any interference with any of our student's school work must be reported. It's the rules." said Principal Huggins.
"But there really isn't any need to do that." Lincoln protested. "Rusty and I were able to submit our project no problem and we still passed with a B like he said. My grades have not been affected by my family and those incidents were basically minimal as things always work out in the end… one way or another."
"Besides, if Lincoln's grades were truly affected Mrs. Johnson and Principal Huggins, would've brought up back then." Clyde added.
The elementary and middle schools principals traded glances.
"They do have a point you know." said Principal Rivers.
"I suppose," said Principal Huggins. "But we would still need proof that in the end, Lincoln's family haven't been truly interfering with his grades."
"Unfortunately, we can't think of anything." said Principal Ramirez.
The Louds looked devastated, thinking that their actions were truly gonna be reported and they were gonna land into legal trouble. Lincoln could only look at them sadly.
"There has to be a way." said Stella.
"Yeah, but what?" said Ronnie Anne.
Then, an idea flew into Principal Rivers' head. "Wait, I have something in mind!" she said.
Everyone faced the high school principal.
"What would that be?" asked Mrs. Johnson.
"Perhaps a compromise could work." said Principal Rivers. "Lincoln could take a test or work on a project, with the clear instruction of his sisters not to be anywhere near him. If the results are similar to the normal grades or they aren't much different, then Lincoln is right and even all the chaos his sisters do is irrelevant to his schoolwork. But if the results turn out to show a big difference, then that shows that they are affecting his grades and then you can report it."
Everyone stared at Principal Rivers.
"That… actually sounds reasonable." said Principal Huggins.
"Very well then. Lincoln shall take a test to show us if his family truly is affecting his grades." said Principal Ramirez.
"What? You mean Stinkoln has to take a dumb test?!" Lynn exclaimed.
"First of all, stop calling him that." Rita told her daughter firmly. "And second, if he passes this, then your principal and former principal won't have to report this."
"Oh alright." Lynn sighed.
"Wait, does he have to take it now?" Luna asked.
"Yes, that way we'll be satisfied with the results." said Principal Huggins.
Everyone wasn't sure what to think. They were first brought to this dimension to watch their show and it's spin-off… and now Lincoln had to take a freakin' test?
Lincoln walked over to his family. "It's ok." he said calmly. "I'll do it. Better to do it now so we can all move past this and not let it nerve-wrack us for the rest of our time here."
The Louds smiled thankfully at Lincoln.
"Question is, what kind of test?" asked Albert.
Principal Ramirez pondered this. "I got just the thing." she said as she turned to Lincoln. "If I do recall, Mr. Bolhoffner's class, which you are in Lincoln, has a test on the second World War on Monday, am I right?"
"Yeah that's right." Lincoln nodded. "And I can assure you I have been studying for it."
"It's true." nodded Luna. "We've seen bro studying whenever his door was open while we're doing our stuff."
"And you're not studying for other stuff as well?" Principal Rivers asked.
"They are. They just study at different times." Lynn Sr. replied.
"Ok. We'll give you time to study to refresh your mind since we've been watching the show." said Principal Huggins.
"But where should he study and take the test if he shouldn't be near his sisters for it?" asked Howard.
At that moment, a fiery portal opened up. Joe stepped out.
"Cool portal huh? I based it on the portals from Mortal Kombat." Joe said as the portal closed. "Anyways, I think I can hel with this."
"What do you have in mind?" asked Mrs. Johnson.
"There's a realm all magic users like me, Ang, and our family know of. I don't remember the name of it, but what I do know is that time works differently there, kinda like the time zones on Earth." Joe said. "What would be three minutes here, can equal three hours there."
Everyone was amazed.
"That sounds so cool!" exclaimed Sid.
"That kinda reminds me of Ant-Man and the Wasp." said Clyde.
"So Lincoln can study there in private and then take his test." surmised Principal Ramirez.
"And as a perk, we won't have to wait so long for him." added Principal Rivers.
"Alright. I'm ready." Lincoln said as he walked up to Joe.
Joe waved his hand and in a puff of steam, some textbooks appeared, along with an Ace Savvy notebook. "Here's your study materials." he said. "All the way from your dimension."
"Thanks Joe." Lincoln said as he took his material. He turned to the group. "Wish me luck guys." he said.
"Good luck little bro." said Lori.
"You got this Lincoln." encouraged Clyde.
"Go get 'em Linc." said Ronnie Anne.
"You'll do great son." Lynn Sr. said.
"Knock it dead." said Lucy.
Joe snapped his fingers. And in a puff of smoke, a red door appeared. Joe opened it and Lincoln stepped through into another area. Joe then shut the door.
"Lincoln will have 2 hours to study, which means two minutes for us." said Principal Ramirez as she pulled out her phone and set a timer to two minutes. "Lincoln should be starting… now." she said as she pressed START.
Unknown realm:
Lincoln walked over to a desk and set his stuff down.
"OK Lincoln, let's go over everything and make sure you got it down right." he said to himself as he opened his notebook and textbook, the former thankfully having a pencil tucked into it. "Let's see here, September 1st, 1939…"
Screening Dimension:
Everyone was waiting anxiously as the timer on Principal Ramirez's phone counted down. Joe was checking his email on his phone.
"Boy this is intense," said Stella.
"It's like waiting for results at a doctor's appointment." murmured Francisco.
"I really hope all that studying pays off." Lana said worriedly.
"Don't worry Lana, Lincoln's a very smart kid." Lori said reassuringly. "He'll be able to ace this test."
"And… time!" Principal Ramirez said. "Study time is done. Now he can begin the test. He will have 90 minutes like all the other testing times at our school."
Joe nodded as he faced the door and snapped his fingers. Principal Ramirez started her timer at 90 seconds.
Unknown Dimension:
Lincoln had just finished looking over his notes when they swre suddenly switched with a packet that read World War II test.
"Let's do this…" Lincoln said determined as he readied his pencil and looked at the first question. "'Who led the Soviet Union in the second World War?'".
Time lapse:
Lincoln circled answer A. Operation: Chariot...
Lincoln erased his circle around C. Operation Barbarossa and instead circled B. Operation Neptune...
"Let's see… ah, the British Union!" Lincoln said in realization as he circled another answer...
"Churchill-No wait, Roosevelt!" said Lincoln as circled another answer…
"I got it! The Red Army!" Lincoln said in realization, circling another answer…
"False. Wilson was in I, not II." Lincoln said, looking at a True or False question...
Screening Dimension:
Everyone was now even more intense as the clock ticked down.
"What if Lincoln doesn't do well?" Leni asked worriedly.
"Then the principal's report this to social services when we get back." Lisa replied. She didn't show any emotion, but on the inside she was very nervous.
"Maybe we could convince them not to." Lola suggested with an evil grin.
"Lola, we're already in enough trouble when it came to interfering Lincoln's school work being shown here. We're not bribing them." Luan said firmly.
"And I doubt Pop's cooking could convince them like with Mr. grouse." Luna added.
"All we can do is hope…" Lucy said solemnly.
"And… time!" said Principal Ramirez.
As soon as she said that, Lincoln came through the doorway holding his test. Joe snapped his fingers and the doors disappeared.
"Did you finish?" asked Stella.
"Yes. Yes I did." Lincoln replied, handing the test to Principal Ramirez.
"Alright, I just need the test's answer key from my office so I can look them over." she said.
Joe snapped his fingers and in a flash of gold dust, said packet appeared int he middle school principal's hand.
"Ah, thank Joe." Principal Ramires said before facing her fellow faculty members. "Principal Huggins, Principal Rivers, Mrs. Johnson, care to join me?"
The teacher and two principals nodded as they walked over to the food table. Ramirez and Rivers sat next to each other while Huggins and Agnes sat across from them.
Everyone watched with anticipation while the Loud family watched on nervously. Principal Ramirez looked over the questions while Principal Rivers looked over the answer key.
Lynn, Lana, Clyde, Rusty, Bobby, CJ, Carl, Dante, Chaz, Joey, Roger, and Laird nervously bit their nails. Lynn Sr. and Rita held their hands nervously. Lori, Leni, and Lola nervously twiddled their hair. Lincoln had on a nervous, but hopeful expression.
Principal Ramirex handed the now look-over test to Mrs. Johnson, who did a calculator of the amount of questions Lincoln got right. She showed her result to Principal Huggins, who checked a piece of paper that read the letter grades and their percentage equivalents. The four nodded to each other and walked back over to the group with neutral expressions.
"Lincoln…" Principal Ramirez said.
The Louds gulped nervously.

"You passed!" Principal Ramirez said, holding up the test that read 101%.
Everyone gasped and cheered in celebration while the Louds held Lincoln in a tight hug.
"You did it baby bro!" cheeredLuna.
"You passed Linky!" cheered Leni.
"We knew you could do it son!" cheered Lynn Sr.
"You're the man Linc!" cheered Lana.
"T-Thanks guys." Lincoln smiled.
"Wait, 101? I thought scores went up to 100." Rocky said in confusion.
"Was there an extra credit question?" asked Laird.
"Yes. And Lincoln got that one correct as well." said Principal Ramirez who read off of the test. "Which group did the Nazis NOT target for extermination? The French POWs"
"Ooh, they tried to trick you." Norm smirked.
"They tried." Lincoln chuckled.
"So does that mean you won't report the incidents?" asked Lori.
"No Miss Loud, we won't, as lincoln has proven that even with all of you living up to your family name, his grades aren't being affected." said Principal Huggins. "But if I or any of my fellow principals ever find that any your shenanigans interfered with, not just Lincoln, but any of your grades, intentionally or not, and without the percent stepping in, then we will have no choice to report it." he added sternly.
"We hear that loud and clear." Luna gulped.
"That's good then." Principal Ramirez said as Joe sent the test and answer key back to the Louds' dimension. "Lincoln, come Monday you won't take the test as that would be unfair to you. I'll tell Mr. Bolhofner that you'll be taking it in a quieter environment when you'll just be helping me in my office. That way he won't be suspicious."
"Thanks Principal Ramirez," said Lincoln.
"And Lincoln?" said Lori as the sisters walked up, all looking guilty. "We are so sorry if any of our chaotic ways nearly resulted in you failing your school assignments."
"Yeah, we should've continued to save energy instead of using you as our generator for the Greenhouse project." Leni said.
"And we should've asked you if we could have that chocolate instead of just eating it." said Lana.
"And even if we didn't, we should've replaced it." Lola said in guilt.
"And even though you didn't need a tutor after all that time, we should've left you and Hugh alone nonetheless." Lisa sighed.
"And I should've stepped in and been a responsible parent instead of being excited over a British guy." Lynn Sr. sighed.
"And I'm sorry I wrecked yours and Rusty's project just so he could come back with Rocky for Lucy. That was pretty dumb of me." Lynn said in guilt.
"All in all, we are sorry that we nearly cost you any good grades," said Luna.
"Even if things did work out in the end, they could've easily not have gone well at all." Lola added.
"We promise we will not let our chaotic ways interfere with your schoolwork as well as each others." said Lucy.
"And your father and I promise to end it if it does happen." said Rita.
"Thanks guys." said Lincoln. "And I promise I won't interfere with your schoolwork either."
"You haven't before bro." Luna said in confusion.
"Doesn't mean I plan on doing it." Lincoln smirked, making his family chuckle.
"Now that that's out of the way, it's snack time again." said Joe as he snapped his fingers and food appeared on the table.
"Thanks Joe!" said Lana.
Luna's stomach rumbled. "Yeah, we could all use some more chow to fill our tummies." she giggled.
Lincoln's stomach rumbled. "Yeah, I feel like I got a wolf in my stomach." he said, making everyone laugh.
"Well enjoy." said Joe as he opened another fire portal.
"Wait, where are you going?" asked Leni.
Joe gave a faux-terrified face. "Back to law school!" he said before speed-walking through the portal that closed behind him. (1)
Everyone stared.
"What?" asked Liam.
"Eh, never mind. Let's eat." said Lori.
Everyone shrugged as they all went to get more food.

Thanks for all the reviews! We are so close to 2000!
Keep up the suggestions!
The next chapter features:
Another snack break
Lori and Bobby singing a duet (already got a song picked out)
And down at FBI headquarters, the good Agents, Jack Thomas and Robert Walker, try to figure out a way to see if the inhabitants of the house Agents Tanner, Patrick, and Simmons are spying on (which include Joe, Ang, and the entrance to the dimension) truly are threats.
