One morning, Natsuki Kuga slept in. She was tired, because she had been spending her days fighting the forces of evil and making her city safer.

By the time Natsuki got up, it was almost noon. She opened her eyes and looked at the alarm clock, to see how long she had slept. She didn't have much of a reaction, to sleeping the morning away. However, she figured her parents were going to have a bigger reaction. During her rest, she had heard her voices. She correctly assumed that they had been trying to wake her up.

After Natsuki changed into her day clothes, she went into the living room and started preparing breakfast.

Natsuki's dad looked at her and asked, "What are you doing?"

Natsuki answered, "I'm getting my breakfast ready."

The dad replied, "You shouldn't have breakfast, since you didn't wakeup, this morning. It's almost lunchtime, so you shouldn't waste my money, on a silly breakfast."

Natsuki's dad was the greediest person Natsuki had ever mad, that wasn't a criminal. Natsuki tried to tolerate her dad's obsession, with saving money. However, her dad kept getting more desperate and kept becoming a bigger penny-pincher, as time went on. Natsuki said, "Since it would be a cry-worthy shame, if I wasted a single one of your dollars, I'll just go out and get some lunch."

The dad replied, "Hold on. I don't think it's a good use of money, to eat at a fast food place."

Natsuki responded, "I'm twenty-years-old and it's my money, so your opinion isn't warranted."

The dad replied, "Your sassiness isn't warranted. I think it'd be for the best, if you just have a few chips or something, for your lunch. That way, you can apologize to me, for giving me attitude." Natsuki stormed out of the house. She didn't bother, with responding to what her dad said, because she didn't think it was worth it.

A few minutes later, Natsuki drove to Shizuru Fujino's house. Shizuru was Natsuki's girlfriend. Natsuki often visited her and got advice from her, after she had fights with her dad. Natsuki knocked on the door. After looking into Natsuki's eyes, Shizuru quickly started embracing Natsuki. Natsuki had an amused look on her face, while saying, "That's quite the greeting."

Natsuki and Shizuru walked inside, while Shizuru replied, "I could you needed a few hugs. I know you, Natsuki. At the risk of stepping over the line, I think I know how you feel, more than anyone. You had a fight with your father, didn't you?"

Natsuki sighed and responded, "I'm afraid so."

Shizuru said, "Tell me about it."

Natsuki replied, "It wouldn't be worth it, to go over the details. He was acting the way, that he usually does. He made the biggest deal in the world, about me trying to have breakfast."

Shizuru had a confused look on her face, while asking, "Why would he care, if you had breakfast?"

Natsuki replied, "I slept in. I've only been awake, for about a half-hour. Since I wasn't awake, during the time breakfast is normally held, my dad thinks it'd be a waste of money, to have breakfast. That's why I stormed out and came here."

Shizuru responded, "You're more than welcome to come here and visit me, my love." She kissed Natsuki.

Despite how moody Natsuki was, she got a smile on her face, because of Shizuru's soft and loving kiss. She said, "Thank you, Shizuru."

Shizuru asked, "Is there something else, that I can do for you?"

Natsuki answered, "Yes, I'm starved. However, I'm not sure if I should have breakfast or lunch, considering the circumstances."

Shizuru asked, "How about forgetting breakfast and lunch? Instead, you can have a snack. There's a nearby carnival, that serves the best popcorn."

Natsuki replied, "Okay then." Natsuki and Shizuru started walking out and getting into a car, so they could go to the carnival.

Meanwhile, Gonna Getcha, one of the city's most wanted bank robbers, had broken out of prison, a few days ago. He had found an apartment, where he could hide. However, he didn't have much cash, which led to him starving.

Gonna Getcha heard his stomach grumbling. He paced around his apartment, while saying, "My hunger problems are driving me nuts. I'm starving, for some quality food. I'm also starving, for some fun. Not going to any banks has saved me, from dealing with Natsuki beating me up and taking me back to prison. However, I need some adventures and snacks." Gonna Getcha found a newspaper, that was outside his window. He read the article, which was about the carnival. Gonna Getcha did an evil laugh.

Natsuki's dad was moping around his living room. Natsuki's mom walked up to him and asked, "What's wrong?"

The dad said, "Natsuki is being more of a stubborn brat, than ever before. She makes my life harder."

The mom replied, "I'm betting it's the other away around."

The dad said, "Who do you trust more: Me or her?"

The mom replied, "Her. However, I have a work report, that I have to finish and a house to clean, so I'd rather not talk about this."

The dad responded, "I have a golf game, this evening, so I'm also a busy guy."

The mom wanted to get the dad out of the house, so she said, "How about you go somewhere and do something fun? That might improve your mood."

The dad looked at his newspaper and read the same article, that Gonna Getcha had read. He said, "I'll go to the carnival."

Several minutes later, Natsuki and Shizuru got to the carnival. They started walking around, while holding hands. Natsuki said, "Your hand feels even smoother, than it usually does."

Shizuru replied, "I'm afraid that's because I put on a lot of hand lotion, earlier this morning. I probably didn't wash all of it off."

Natsuki responded, "That's fine. Your hands feel as beautiful, as the way your face looks." She paused and asked, "Does it make sense?"

Shizuru grinned and replied, "It doesn't matter, if it made sense, because it warmed my heart."

Natsuki said, "It seems like it doesn't take much, to warm your heart."

Shizuru replied, "It also seems like it doesn't take much, to make you blush. I'll prove it." Shizuru kissed Natsuki. Natsuki started blushing, while Shizuru said, "You're the most adorable blusher."

Natsuki replied, "And you're the most adorable person." Shizuru kissed Natsuki, once again, which made Natsuki's blushing continue.

Natsuki and Shizuru waited in line, to get some popcorn. One of the customers was wearing a jacket, that looked like Gonna Getcha's jacket. A part of Natsuki was wondering, if Gonna Getcha was really there. However, she had garnered an infamous reputation, for thinking Gonna Getcha is around, whenever something reminds her of him. She tried to ignore the thoughts in her head, while she and Shizuru bought popcorn.

Natsuki looked around, at people walking around. She took another look, at the customer, who's jacket looked like Gonna Getcha's jacket. After looking at the guy's face, she realized it was Gonna Getcha. He was standing around, with an evil smile on his face, while eating popcorn. Natsuki looked at Shizuru and said, "Gonna Getcha's here."

Shizuru nervously replied, "Oh, crap."

Natsuki said, "Shizuru, you need to go find a place, that's safe, until I stop him."

Shizuru asked, "You're going to fight him?"

Natsuki answered, "I sure am."

Shizuru replied, "I must say, that I'm proud of you. A few decades ago, only men would be fighting Gonna Getcha. You've fought him, more than anybody and you've defeated him, more than anybody."

Natsuki kissed Shizuru and said, "Get to safety."

Shizuru replied, "Whatever you say, darling."

Natsuki grabbed Gonna Getcha's bag of popcorn and threw it into a garbage can. Gonna Getcha frowned at Natsuki and said, "I should of expected you, to do such a stupid and wasteful thing. After all, you waste the bank's money, by letting the customers have it, instead of me."

Natsuki replied, "You're supposed to be in prison."

Gonna Getcha had a smug smile on his face, while responding, "Once again, I broke out. I'm not meant to be in jail. You see, jail doesn't have anything, that I can steal. I stole the bag of popcorn, that you threw away. I wanted to steal more valuable things, like banks, jewelry stores, and museums. However, I knew you'd stop me. I wasn't expecting you, to be at the fair."

Natsuki replied, "I'm not in the mood, to listen to your corny nonsense. Just surrender. You're not going to win." Gonna Getcha was becoming desperate, so he stole the popcorn booth's popcorn-making machine. He got on one of the rides, in the hopes of escaping Natsuki. However, Natsuki got on the same ride. They were both on a ferris wheel.

Natsuki and Gonna Getcha started punching each other, while on the ferris wheel. Natsuki looked at Gonna Getcha and asked, "What are you trying to do?"

Gonna Getcha answered, "I'm trying to get free popcorn. I know it's not one of my more dignified crimes, but considering what a rebellious crimefighter you've been, I had to do something more mundane."

Natsuki replied, "You're not going to get away with any crimes, you desperate fool."

Gonna Getcha had an evil smile on his face, while saying, "I could become responsible, for a much more villainous crime."

Natsuki asked, "What are you talking about?"

Gonna Getcha said, "When I get off this ferris wheel, I could throw this heavy popcorn-making machine, at your girlfriend. You're a dark, rebellious person, but deep down, you're an oversensitive softie."

Natsuki punched Gonna Getcha and replied, "You're wrong about that."

Gonna Getcha responded, "You would never get anything done, without Shizuru around. Whenever you deal, with the slightest bit of problem, you come to her and have her snuggle by your side, to make your worries go away. If you got a paper cut, you'd probably be begging Shizuru, to kiss your precious fingers. Since you couldn't last a day, without your precious Shizuru, I'm going to knock her out." He did an evil laugh. However, Natsuki grabbed the popcorn-making machine and used it, to hit Gonna Getcha. The villain passed out.

While Natsuki was giving Gonna Getcha to the police, her wallet fell out of her pocket. Natsuki's dad walked by and saw the wallet. He picked it up and said, "It appears a wallet has gone missing. After I give it to the owner, the owner will likely give me a reward." He looked around the wallet, to see who it belonged to. After realizing Natsuki was the owner, he gritted his teeth.

Natsuki walked by and grabbed her wallet. She looked at her dad and said, "Thank you, for taking it off the ground. It fell out of my pocket, for a moment, so I am grateful, that you saved it."

The dad gave Natsuki a disapproving look, while replying, "You should be ashamed of yourself."

Natsuki looked confused, while asking, "What are you talking about?"

The dad said, "Instead of growing up, you're going to a childish carnival and doing irresponsible things, like losing your wallet. You're being disgraceful."

Natsuki decided it was time, that she stop seeking comfort from Shizuru, whenever her dad made her mad. She knew it was time, to be brave. She said, "Dad, I'm no longer a little girl, who needs your money-saving advice. You're the irresponsible one. You nag me, about wasting money, but you've spent thousands of dollars, on golf clubs, motorcycles, and couches."

The dad replied, "That was important stuff."

Natsuki asked, "Isn't it important, that I eat? You seem to think, that saving a dollar, is more important than me eating well. If you care about your family's finical situation, stop being condescending and start taking responsibility."

The dad thought about what Natsuki said. He was used to using to a childish excuse, when Natsuki made a good point. However, he felt it wasn't worth it, this time. He said, "I'm going to cancel my golf game, so I can clean the living room."

Natsuki hugged her dad and replied, "Thank you."

Shizuru ran up to Natsuki and said, "I'm afraid I overheard your conversation and I'm awfully proud of you."

Natsuki replied, "I should of had that talk, a long time ago. When I have problems, I usually go to you, for comfort. It was wrong of me, to ignore finding a solution, to my problems."

Shizuru looked guilty, while responding, "Maybe I've been a bad influence."

Natsuki shook her head and replied, "That's not the case. You're the best thing in my life." She kissed Shizuru. Natsuki and Shizuru continued holding hands, while continuing their carnival adventure. Natsuki's city was very lucky to be under Natsuki's protection. She was the woman that the city had always needed.
