Chapter 2 Reunion Tourists
Ash and Pikachu are now in front of Virima Hotel, and they are watching the whole view of the city.
Ash: Look! Pikachu! There is a Beach!
Pikachu: I see it too! This place is really amazing!
As they walk along the road while feeling the breeze from the air of the beach, they get into the Tourist Info Center, where they find Emily waiting for them.
Emily: Hey, Ash! You're just in time!
Ash: (Apologetic tone) Sorry I'm late, I think I trained a little in the Hotel.
Emily: It's fine, let's go.
Emily drags Ash to the reception desk, where the Receptionist is greeting them.
Receptionist: Welcome to the Ceolis region's Tourist Info Center! Is there anything in particular that you want to know about, or should I give you a general rundown?
Emily: I guess a general rundown will be fine! Our parents have been to Ceolis before, so we've heard a bit about the region, but this is our first time here!
Receptionist: If you don't mind me, where are you guys come from?
Emily: We're from Kanto! Pallet Town to be exact.
Receptionist: That's where Professor Oak's Lab is! I've heard he's been doing a lot of great researches, it'd still be neat to see it. And you said that your parents have been here before? Was it for business or leisure?
Ash: It was for business, but they did enjoy their time here!
Receptionist: (Now curious) What kind of work did they do here?
Emily: Our mother is a scientist! She studied at the Pokemon Research Institute in Ceolis for a while!
Receptionist: I hope her research is going well! She must have been really dedicated to getting into the Pokemon Research Institute! But now we'll discuss your vacation plans. You may already be aware of some of our main attractions, like Classic Park and the Sea Star Society?
Ash: We've heard of them, and we're definitely going to visit them! We'd like to see as much of the region as we can!
Receptionist: That's fantastic! If you happen to be trainers, there's also the Ceolis League you could try out. There's a gym right here in Virima actually, though it might not be open yet at this time of day.
Ash: (Frowning) Oh man...I would like to challenge the Gym right away...
Receptionist: The Gym Leader, Jim, uses his house as his Gym, and he cleans it every morning before accepting challenges.
Emily: We do have our Pokemon, but today was my first actual battle. I wouldn't mind trying out the League. The battle we had earlier was very fun, so I think it'd add some flavor to our vacation! I was looking forward to meeting more Pokemon here too!
Receptionist: If you're going to be catching Pokemon and challenging the League, we have something that might help you stay organized!
Ash and Emily are given the Pokedexes from the receptionists. The Pokedex is the same as he got from Kanto, but it is a National Pokedex.
Receptionist: (Takes out five Pokeballs) They also come with five complimentary Poke Balls!
Emily gets the Poke Balls, but Ash just waves his hands, as he already captured a lot of Pokemon.
Ash: I already have a lot of Pokeballs with me. But thank you so much!
As the Receptionist puts the Pokeballs away, she finds something and she pales a little.
Receptionist: Oh, um...I think I might have messed up.
Emily: (Confused) Messed up? But you've been very helpful and polite!
Receptionist: It slipped my mind, but we're actually waiting on our next shipment of Pokedexes from the Pokemon Research Institute. I think that the Pokedexes I gave you two might be the ones that were "hacked" by Isabelle.
Ash: Isabelle? Who is she? Is she a famous person in this Ceolis Region?
Receptionist: Isabelle is our Psychic Type Gym Leader, and she has illusionist abilities. On top of that, she has a spontaneous personality. With some of the Pokedexes, she edited the descriptions to random words and phrases.
Ash is confused, and he tries it out on Pikachu.
Pokedex: Pikachu: The Mouse Pokemon: Electric Type. Mexican Food/Kirby Music.
Ash: Mexican Food and Kirby Music? What is even a Kirby?
Emily: (Shrugs) I don't know.
Receptionist: I keep some on hand because they're entertaining to read. But I didn't mean to give you those, and I can't give you a standard-issue one right now...unless you want to keep the ones you have?
Emily: This Pokedex is okay with me! We can still learn about our Pokemon by being with them, and it's like a unique Ceolis-brand Pokedex!
Ash: If my sister is fine, I guess I am fine too. I mean...I already know a lot of Pokemon from experience.
Receptionist: You're definitely right about that. I hope you all meet and befriend a lot of Pokemon here in Ceolis! (Bows)
Emily: Thank you, we'll do our best!
After getting out of the Tourists Info Center, Ash sighs at the Pokedex giving random words.
Emily: I guess our League challenge officially starts now, Ash! If you'd like to try it with me, that is. I'm going to look around Virima while I'm waiting for the Gym to open!
Ash: Okay, Emily. See you soon.
Ash sees Emily leave, and he decides to relax at the beach. But when he sees a ship approaching, he is surprised to see the Logo on the ship.
Ash: That's the ship from the Aether Foundation! Maybe we'll be seeing Lillie again.
Pikachu: Are you sure Lillie might be on the boat? Maybe it is just an Aether Foundation worker who comes here for business.
Ash: I have a gut feeling that she might be on this ship. (Starting to have flashbacks about the time they are spending together.)
Pikachu: (Teasing) Looks like somebody is in love.
Ash: (Blushes) Don't you dare to tease me, Pikachu!
Pikachu: Sure, and it is too obvious.
As the ship docks at the beach, Lillie and Gladion are in their outfit from the Alola Region, with Gladion wearing black clothes, and Lillie wearing the Z-powered form.
Lillie: (Looks around) This must be Virima City...the southernmost City of the Ceolis Region's Main Land...
Gladion: You're right. It looks perfect for a place to start the region. (Turns to Lillie) Are you sure you'll be fine traveling this region on your own?
Lillie: (Sighing because Gladion has been too overprotective of her.) I have strong Pokemon, and I have Snowy by my side. There won't be any danger to me.
And when they continue walking at the beach, Ash is also walking at the same time. Neither of them is looking as Ash and Lillie bump into each other.
Lillie: Oww... (In pain because of the bump and Gladion is helping her up.)
Gladion: Lillie, are you okay?
Lillie: (Gives an assuring nod) I'm fine.
But when Ash and Lillie see each other, their mouths are wide open, and they can't believe that they are just in front of them.
Ash: Lillie...is that you?
Lillie: Ash!
Just then, Lillie suddenly relaxes Gladion's hand and rushes to Ash, hugging him while Ash has to spin around.
Lillie: (Her head is resting on Ash's shoulder) I missed you, Ash.
Ash: (Surprised at how Lillie said she missed him.) I miss you as well.
Gladion notices his rival and his sister doing something, he just gives a cough to gain their attention.
Gladion: We are in a public space, so please control yourselves. (Then he walks towards Ash and shakes his hand) It's nice to see you again, Ash.
Ash: (Gently let Lillie moves away to accept the handshake) Likewise, Gladion. It's nice to see you as well. What are you two doing here?
Lillie: We found our father after a long journey, so we have decided to take a break in this region.
Ash: (Feeling happy for her and Gladion) You found your father? Congratulations, Lillie! I know you will find him.
Gladion: It wasn't easy at all. We also heard that you're the Monarch of the World Coronation Series, congratulations to you as well.
Ash: (Rubs his head) I couldn't have done it without my Pokemon's help.
Lillie: What about you, Ash? What brings you to this region?
Ash: I'm here to challenge the Pokemon League, of course. The Ceolis Region is the strongest League in the world, so I want to try it out.
Gladion: I see, good to see you're still doing those challenges.
Ash: What about you two? Are you going to challenge the League as well?
Both Lillie and Gladion shake their heads, as they are just here for a vacation.
Gladion: Since you are here, that will be great. As you see, Lillie wants to travel alone in this region by herself, but I'm still worried she might be in trouble.
Lillie: (Feeling angry at Gladion) You don't need to tell Ash about how you are overprotective!
Ash: (Trying to calm down the siblings) Calm down, you two. I'm sure Gladion doesn't mean that. So Lillie, if you are here to travel, I mean...how about we travel together? The two of us?
Lillie is surprised that Ash is offering her to travel with him, although she wants to travel the region on her own, but perhaps traveling with Ash might be better than traveling alone. Besides, it might be a chance for her to be with Ash, the thought of it makes her blush a little.
Ash: (Notice her blush) I guess that's a no?
Lillie: (Panicking) No...I don't mean...I mean...I...Yes! I want to travel with you.
Ash chuckles at Lillie's reaction, and he finds the reaction cute. Gladion also feels like something inside him is gone.
Gladion: Good, now I can make sure that my sister is safe. I'll be seeing you later.
Just then, Gladion leaves the two of them alone, and they turn their attention to their Pokemon.
Ash: (Noticing Snowy, who is nuzzling his leg) Looks like your Snowy has become a beautiful Ninetales.
Lillie: I know, she has been nervous about evolving, but when we found our father, she finally decides to become a Ninetales.
Ash: That's great to hear. Now it is also a Fairy Type, which means it will be stronger in battles.
Lillie: And by the way, since you are here, I was thinking of giving you a Pokemon.
Ash: (Confused) Giving me a Pokemon?
Lillie takes out a Pokeball to Ash, and Ash opens it to reveal that it is a Shedinja.
Ash: A Shedinja? Why are you giving me this Pokemon?
Lillie: (Sighs) I have a hard time training it, maybe you can help me train this Pokemon?
Ash: If you say so, I'll be glad to help you out. (Turns to Shedinja) Welcome to the team, Shedinja.
Shedinja just doesn't move as Ash just recalls it into the Pokeball. Then they decide to leave the beach to explore the city.
Here is a new chapter, and Ash and Lillie are reunited. Now the two of them will be traveling with each other. And I hope you like this chapter. The next chapter will be Ash's introduction with the Pokemon.
