Chapter 3 Pokemon Introduction
Ash and Lillie are walking in the streets of Virima City, Ash is now showing Lillie around.
Ash: This hotel is where my sister and I stayed last night, there is even a place for us to capture Wild Pokemon determined by EVs.
Lillie: (Confused) Sister? Since when do you have a sister, Ash?
Ash: (Sigh) I was thinking the same thing, after I come back to the Galar Region after defeating Leon in the World Coronation Series, I somehow have a sister and her name is Emily. According to Mom, she has been staying with our Grandmother this whole time because she is just scared of Team Rocket.
Lillie: But Team Rocket is defeated by you, right?
Ash: Yeah...I am glad to have a time when there are no Jessie, James, and Meowth trying to follow me anywhere.
Lillie: (Chuckles as she knows how it has been a nightmare to have those three following around.) So is it true that there are a total of 18 gyms in this region? I mean...it sure is hard to believe after all.
Ash: (Nod) There are, and I heard that each Gym Leader will be using six Pokemon in the battle. It might take a while to beat, but that really gives me a good challenge.
Lillie: Have you tried out Virima City Gym yet? It is actually close by according to the map.
Ash: The leader is cleaning his gym, so he doesn't accept challengers now. That is what the receptionist from the Tourist Info Center says.
Lillie: Then what are you going to do?
Ash: (Spots a Bike Store) How about we go get some bikes? It'll be useful on the journey.
Lillie: Great idea.
The two of them then enter the bike store, much like the ones in other regions, the place is a little messy and a lot of bikes are on display.
Bike Owner: Hi! Welcome to Virima City's Bike Shop! Are you a resident of Ceolis, or are you visiting from somewhere else?
Ash: Both of us are tourists, and this is our first and second day here in Ceolis.
Ash and Lillie show their passports to the owner, and he confirmed the stamps.
Bike Owner: I see, so you're tourists. Tourists can get a bike for free here! That means you can have two bikes.
Ash and Lillie are surprised as they know they usually need a bike coupon to exchange the bikes. The two of them thank the owner of the bikes and they each grab a bike to go.
Bike Owner: (Wave them goodbye are they are leaving the store) I hope you enjoy your bike!
As they continue looking around, they find a house with a Fisherman inside.
Fisherman: Howdy here, kid. It looks like yew ain't never fished before. We gotta fix that. So let's getchews a fishin' rod!
Then Ash and Lillie get their own pairs of Old Rods.
Lillie: Are you sure we can take these?
Fisherman: All yew's gotta do is dip it in the wawder and wait for somethin' to bite. I'm a third-generation fisher, so I've got more rods than Jigglypuff's eyes.
Ash and Lillie thank the Fisherman as they leave the house, and when they continue south, they find a vendor which sells feathers.
Lillie: What are those things?
Ash: These are the Feathers. They are used to boost the stats of a Trainer's Pokémon, except the Pretty Feather, which is instead a valuable item. (Points at the yellow one) Health Feathers slightly increases the HP base points of a single Pokémon. (Points at the red one) Muscle Feather slightly increases the Attack base points of a single Pokémon. (Points at the blue one) Resist Feather slightly increases the Defense base points of a single Pokémon. (Points at the light blue one) Genius Feather slightly increases the Sp. Atk base points of a single Pokémon. (Points at the purple one) Clever Feather slightly increases the Sp. Def base points of a single Pokémon. (Points at the green one) Swift Feather slightly increases the Speed base points of a single Pokémon. (Points at the White one) And this is Pretty Feather. Though this feather is beautiful, it's just a regular feather and has no effect.
Lillie is in awe at how Ash knows a lot about this stuff, and her admiration for Ash really increases.
Lillie: You really like to help others, Ash. (Chuckles)
Ash: Of course, if there is a help in need, I will be glad to help.
Lillie: You are so kind. (Smiles and mutters) And that's why I like you...
Ash: (Feeling that Lillie has said something) Did you say anything?
Lillie: (Quickly turns away with a blush) Nothing! Never mind!
Ash is not going to buy the answer, but he doesn't want to pressure Lillie further.
Ash: (Notice the Tall Grass near the bay) Since we are outside of Virima City, I feel like there has to be Pokemon living in the grass over there as well. How about we try to capture some Pokemon?
Lillie: I'm not sure, but I'll definitely want to capture some new Pokemon in my team.
Ash: What kind of Pokemon do you want? If I may ask?
Lillie: I think I want to capture a Buizel. I mean, Floatzel is kind of cool...but I've never seen it in Alola before.
Ash: I actually have a Floatzel with my Mom. (Suddenly having an idea) Wait for a second, I have an idea.
Lillie: (Ash suddenly grabs her hand, causing her to blush. And Ash starts to run towards the Pokemon Center) What? Ash! Where are you going?
After getting to the Pokemon Center, Ash has called Professor Oak.
Professor Oak: Ash, my boy. It is nice to see you again. How is the Ceolis Region so far?
Ash: It is great, Professor. Do you remember Lillie? She is one of the students of your cousin Samson Oak, and my classmate as well.
Professor Oak: (Notices Lillie and places his hand under his chin.) Ah, yes. You're Lusamine's daughter. I'm glad to see you two together. So back to business, may I ask why you are calling me?
Ash: You see, I want to share a Pokedex account with Lillie.
Lillie and Professor Oak are surprised, as they know what it means, Ash wants Lillie to access some of his Pokemon.
Professor Oak: And may I ask the reason? It is possible to do a joint account, but why?
Ash tells the Professor about how Lillie wants to try using a lot of Pokemon, and he might not be capable of taking care of a lot of Pokemon by himself. Professor Oak thinks for a while and agrees to let Lillie and Ash share a Pokedex.
Ash also contacts his mother, and she sends some of the Pokemon to Ash, even though Ash hasn't told his mother that he is traveling with Lillie.
Ash: Here are the Pokemon I think you can help me take care of.
Ash throws the Pokeballs, and there are a Scrafty, a Gliscor, a Muk, a Torterra, a Torkoal, an Incineroar, a Feraligatr, a Floatzel, a Seismitoad, a Venusaur, a Meganium, and a Serperior.
Lillie: (Gasping) Are you sure you're going to let me handle these Pokemon?
Ash: I know you can. (He turns to the Pokemon) Everyone, I want you to meet Lillie. She will be traveling with us, and both of us have linked our Pokedexes together. So treat her as your second trainer, will you?
Incineroar is the only one who recognizes Lillie, and by showing affection to Lillie, the other Pokemon know that Lillie cares about them.
Lillie: (Pets Incineroar) It is nice to see you again, Incineroar.
Ash: Now let me show you the Pokemon. The first one is Scrafty, I hatched it from an egg in Unova. It likes to do Headbutt a lot.
Scrafty just walks towards Lillie and gives her a light headbutt, causing her to be a little tickled.
Ash: This is Gliscor, he sometimes couldn't fly properly and thus it always crashes into me, but he likes to try hard.
Gliscor gives Lillie a wink, causing Lillie to chuckle a little.
Ash: Muk is also one of the affectionate Pokemon I owned. It likes to hug.
Lillie: But it does look different, maybe it is not an Alolan Form.
Muk hugs Lillie to show affection, and Lillie can only sigh.
Ash: Torterra and Venusaur are good caretakers, they can help you if your Pokemon are out of control.
Lillie: That will be nice. It is great to know all of you.
Torterra and Venusaur also give Lillie a nod, knowing that she might need them as much as Ash do.
Ash: Torkoal here is a really affectionate Pokemon, and sometimes you have to be careful since it might release smoke.
Torkoal does it with affection, and it causes Ash and Lillie to get dirty, but they chuckle a little as Lillie greets the Pokemon.
Ash: Feraligatr here is a Pokemon that likes to dance, and sometimes it likes to bite me to show affection as well.
Feraligatr does the same to Lillie, but be careful not to do so hard.
Ash: Floatzel here is a powerful battler. It can also swim very fast.
Floatzel just folds its arms and gives Lillie and nod, and Lillie also greets the Pokemon.
Ash: Seismitoad has been a great Pokemon when I was traveling in Unova, as its Ground Type advantage helps out a lot.
Seismitoad nods, and Lillie greets the Pokemon.
Ash: And finally, we have Meganium and Serperior. Meganium had a crush on me before, but we have to persuade her that Pokemon and Humans aren't going to be in a relationship, that's when she gives up. As for Serperior, her Attract is also a good way to help in the battle, though she is prideful.
Lillie: Looks like you really have a lot of interesting Pokemon...I am glad to have these Pokemon help me out.
After helping Lillie recalling all the Pokemon in the Pokeballs, Ash looks at the sea and finds a Lanturn at the shore.
Ash: What is a Lanturn doing there?
Lillie: I don't know. Let's check it out.
As they go check out the Lanturn, it notices them and it sparks electricity towards Pikachu.
Pikachu: Ash, I think he wants you two to come with him.
Ash: Really? You want us to come with you, Lanturn?
Lanturn nods, and Ash grabs Lillie's hand as they ride on Lanturn.
Lillie: Are you sure that is what it wants us to do?
Ash: We have no other choice, hold me tight.
Lillie nods as they start to dive into the ocean, going somewhere else that awaits them.
Here is a new chapter, and in this chapter, Ash decides to share his Pokemon with Lillie, and thus giving her 12 Pokemon. The reason is that I really like the concept of sharing Pokemon. And since Lillie and Ash are going to be a couple in the end, why don't we do it now? And when I played this game, I was also surprised to know that the bike is free, considering I need to do a lot of things before getting a bike in Pokemon Reborn. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be Lanturn Lighthouse.
