Chapter 10 Sibling Reunion
Ash and Lillie are walking on the Virima Trail, and as they are about to arrive at the gate, they are surprised to see Emily and Gladion there.
Ash: Emily?
Lillie: Gladion?
Emily: We've been waiting for you, Ash, Lillie! So you chose to cycle your way through Virima Trail?
Ash: Well, Lillie and I decide to do both to see the difference. I think you've not met, Lillie, this is my sister Emily.
Emily: I heard a lot about you from Gladion over here, and it is nice to see you in person.
Lillie: Same here, so you two are traveling together?
Gladion: You can say that.
Emily: We chose to walk with Furret! I thought it would be fun, and Furret is a very cute Pokemon! (Emily turns to Furret and gives it a pet.)
Furret: (Liking the way it is petted.) Furr~^-^
Emily: (Turns towards Ash) I'm guessing your first gym battle went well?
Ash smiles as he shows her the Clear Badge, and Emily also does the same thing.
Emily: Congratulations! That means we both have a Badge now! We still have a long way to go, but we've reached our first milestone!
Ash: I guess you're right about that.
Emily: Why don't we see our progress in battle now that we've both got a Gym Badge? I'll heal your Pokemon first if they're not in peak condition! That's the only favor I'll do for you, though.
Ash gives Emily his Pokemon so that she can heal them out. At the same time, Lillie is talking to Gladion about the Pokemon she gets from Ash.
Gladion: Looks like you also have strong Pokemon. How about we have a battle while Ash and Emily do theirs?
Lillie: You bet, I'm going to show you that I will win the match with Ash's help.
Gladion: I might have watched over you your whole life, but I won't hold your hand in battle!
While Lillie and Gladion have their fun, Emily finishes healing Ash's Pokemon.
Ash: (Smirks) Even though you are my sister, you are not going to beat me that easily.
Emily: (Showing the same smirk) Oh really? Let's see. I choose Lily as my first Pokemon. (Sending out Petilil)
Ash: Then I'll go with Gengar.
Emily gulps as she knows how terrible Gengar is, so she commands Petilil to use Leech Seed, which is now sucking Gengar's HP.
Ash: Use Hypnosis!
Gengar starts to laugh and then its eyes glow, and Petilil falls asleep.
Emily: Oh no! Wake up! Petilil!
Ash: Finish it with Dream Eater!
Emily frowns as she doesn't get to do much with Petilil, she recalls her Petilil and sends out Vulpix.
Emily: Naomi! Use Fire Spin!
Gengar is now trapped inside the fire vortex, but Ash just recalls Gengar.
Ash: Emily, you still have a lot to learn, Ghost Type Pokemon cannot be trapped by Fire Spin. (Sends out Lycanroc)
Emily: (Clicks her tongue) If that's the case, I'll use Confuse Ray!
Ash is surprised to see Lycanroc getting confused, and then Vulpix is using Baby-Doll Eyes to lower its Attack stat.
Ash: Lycanroc! I know you can snap out of it! Use Stone Edge!
After several tries of hitting itself with confusion, and the Fire Spin reducing HP, Lycanroc finally snaps out of Confusion and goes for Stone Edge, knocking Vulpix out of the battle.
Emily: If that's the case, I'll use Azura!
She sends out her Marill, and it goes for Rollout, hitting Lycanroc time after time.
Ash: Lycanroc, you can't handle it. (Recalls Lycanroc and sends out Lucario)
Emily: Switching out Pokemon again? But Steel is not going to be super effective against my Marill. Use Bubble!
Marill tries to attack Lucario and lowering its speed, Ash just smiles and has Lucario goes for Bone Rush. Lucario takes out a bone club and it slams at Marill for several times, eventually, Marill is fainted.
Emily: Great, now I only have Lana left...(Sending out Buneary)
Ash: I'll stick with Lucario. Use Power-Up Punch!
Emily: Endure the attack, and go for Return!
Buneary is now blocking the attack, leaving one health, and then it goes for Return, which deals a lot of damage to Lucario.
Ash: I can see a lot of love you show towards Lana, but the match is going to be mine. Aura Sphere.
Lucario throws a blue sphere at Buneary, causing it to be defeated.
Emily: Round 2 goes to you again...(Recalling Buneary)
At the same time, Lillie and Gladion also finish the match, as Lillie wins in the end.
Emily: You're definitely on the ball! You have already beat me twice in a row!
Gladion: (Nods with agreement) I think it's good for us to practice against each other from time to time. It'll keep us sharp, and our Pokemon seem like they had a blast just now!
Emily: Speaking of which, I'll heal up both of our teams again. (Takes all three of them's Pokeballs and heals them.
Lillie: (Turns to Emily) Ash is really strong. Don't you think?"
Emily: He is strong. After all, he is already a champion level and I was just underestimating him because I'm his sister.
Gladion: (Decides to drag Lillie to a place where Ash won't hear them.) So how did you two go? Are there any fireworks happening?"
Lillie: (Blushes like a tomato) Why do you think like that?
Gladion: You are my sister, and I know how you have feelings for Ash since back in Alola. Now you are traveling with him, I am sure that he has been taking good care of you, right?
Lillie: (Sighs as she can't hide from her brother.) I admit that he took care of me well...but I don't think he knows about my feelings for him.
Gladion: Maybe you should try it out, or else he is going to be taken away by other girls.
Lillie: (Widens her eyes in horror) But what if he doesn't like me back? I am scared.
Gladion: There are some circumstances that it will happen, all I can tell you is that if she doesn't love you back, then you should try to remain friends.
Lillie: (Realizes something) Hold on, are you really my brother? When did you start thinking like that?
Gladion: (Giving her a weird look.) Emily did tell me a few things, I was just telling you what she told me.
Lillie sighs, but then she notices Glaidon's blush as she finally understands what is going on. She finally finds a way to tease Gladion after all that teasing he did when they are trying to find their father.
Ash: (Walks towards them with Emily and their Pokemon.) What are you two talking about?
Lillie: (Blushing at how Ash is very close to her.) It is nothing...
Emily: (Returns the healed Pokemon to Lillie and Gladion.) I guess we should get going to Cianosa City now. It's just past this gatehouse. (Turns to Furret.) Thank you for walking with me, Furret! The next time I come here, let's walk again!
Furret: (Being petted again by Emily) Furret fur ^_^
Then Emily and Gladion bid farewell to Ash and Lillie, as they walk past the gate before Ash and Lillie do.
Lillie: (Mutters at how Gladion was just talking to her about love stuff.) How do things turn out to be like this...
Ash: (Confused) Did you say something?
Lillie: (Blushes as she turns away.) Nothing...
After getting into the gate, they find another ranger, and Lillie returns the Furret to the Ranger.
Ranger: Thank you for taking good care of Furret! (Notices Furret's expression) It seems you two enjoyed your walk together, so I'm glad! If you ever want to walk with Furret again, let me know!
When they enter Cianose City, they see a Bunnelby on the road, much to their surprise.
Ash: A Bunnelby? What is it doing here?
Bunnelby: (Notices Ash and Lillie) Bunnelby!
As the Bunnelby quickly leaves, Ash and Lillie decide to chase after the Pokemon.
Bunnelby: Bunn! (Jumps into a burrow under the tree)
Lillie: I think that is a Bunnelby Burrow...should we enter it?
Ash: We should, didn't you hear that Bunnelby is asking us for help?
Then they jump down from above, and then they can see a lot of Bunnelby lurking in the area. They also find a lot of medicines, evolution stones, and also some berries around the ground.
Lillie: (In awe at the sight of different treasures) Wow...this place is full of treasures...
Ash: (Having the same awe as Lillie.) I agree...just...wow.
Just then, they hear a commotion from deeper the burrows, and the Bunnelby that leads them there is also telling them to come quick. As they arrive at the place, they find that a Scorbunny is being beaten by a bunch of Bunnelby.
Lillie: (Yells at Bunnelby) Hey! What do you think you're doing?
The Bunnelby spots them as they quickly stand aside as Lillie picks up the injured Scorbunny.
Ash: (In an angry tone.) What are you doing? Why are you attacking this Scorbunny?
The Bunnelby gang is telling Ash and Lillie about how Scorbunny has been causing trouble in the burrow, and this causes Ash and Lillie to be confused.
Ash: How did this Pokemon cause trouble?
The Bunnelbys are saying something like Scorbunny keeps kicking the items and how they get hit, and also some other bad stuff that Scorbunny does.
Lillie: (Noticing Scorbunny is looking helplessly at her, she can only sigh.) What Scorbunny has done to you might be wrong, but that doesn't mean you can gang upon him. I want both sides to apologize to each other.
The Scorbunny realizes that Lillie is right, and he apologizes to Bunnelby, and Bunnelby also does the same thing. After that, one of the Bunnelby tells them that some of the items are not useful for them, so Ash and Lillie can take them.
After collecting some of the items, Scorbunny is tugging Lillie's skirt, and Lillie bends down and looks at him.
Lillie: Do you want to join me?
Scorbunny nods as it jumps up and down, then Lillie smiles as she takes out a Pokeball, capturing the Pokemon.
Lillie: Welcome to the team, Scorbunny. (Hugging the Pokeball)
Ash: Lillie, you really look like a mother when you are scolding those bunny Pokemon.
Lillie: (Blushes) I do? It is because of your help that I know why they are arguing.
Ash: Yeah. But you did your work, and I am sure that it will be lucky to have you... (Suddenly flinches as he isn't ready to say the words out loud.
Lillie: Have me what?
Ash: Nothing. Let's go to Pokemon Center and rest.
Lillie can only nod, and they eventually find an Escape Rope and use it to get out of the hole.
That night, Ash and Lillie are sleeping in the same room with different beds, both of them are turning away against each other.
Ash: (Thinks) Why did I say that? Did I really want Lillie that much to compare her to a mother? Alice is kind, and she cares about Pokemon and others the most. She is quite cute and beautiful as well...
Lillie: (Thinks) I can't believe I get to travel with Ash ever since I came to this region from today...Ash has been my role model as he always helps others in need...but did I really love him? Or was I just fangirling him? I don't know...this is driving me crazy.
Both: (Sighs and thinks) I wish I can spend the rest of my life with him/her.
Here is a new chapter, and in this chapter, Ash and Emily have their second sibling battle. And it is revealed that Emily and Gladion are traveling together. The next chapter is going to be Trainer's School.
