Chapter 25 Aliora Meadow
Before leaving Gellene Town, Ash and Lillie encounter a Hex Maniac and she gives them a very special gift.
Hex Maniac: Most people avoid Wonky Woods, but I love it there! That's where I caught my precious Pumpkaboo!
Ash: I have a Pumpkaboo as well. (Shows the Pumpkaboo.)
Hex Maniac: (Gasps) You have a Pumpkaboo too! That makes us Pumpkabuddies!
Then she gives them an item called Link Stone, something they haven't seen before.
Hex Maniac: If you have one of these, you can evolve your Pumpkaboo into a Gourgeist if you want. I prefer to keep my Pumpkaboo, so I don't need it.
Ash: That sounds cool. I wonder how it works...
Ash tries it on his own Pumpkaboo, and it evolves into a Gourgeist after the glow dies down. Ash and Lillie are surprised to learn that they don't need to trade Pokemon to evolve.
Ash: This stone is quite amazing...I guess not only Pumpkaboo, but maybe I can also use it to evolve Pokemon like Machoke, Graveler, and other Pokemon that need trade to evolve...
Lillie: But you just used the last one on Gourgeist, so I guess that maybe we can buy some of them in the future...
Ash: You're right about that, but right now, let's go to the next city.
After bidding farewell to the Hex Maniac, they find another path near the way to Wonky Woods, so they go there and get to the next place, Aliora Meadow.
Ash and Lillie are now at Aliora Meadow, as they can see beautiful flowers and trees on the road.
Lillie: Finally...a normal place that we can walk through...no weird stuff and no weird simulations.
Ash: I know. Let's enjoy our moment here in these woods until we get to the next gym.
As they walk on the road, they find some Budew and Combee roaming around. They are probably looking for nectar or honey as these are what they are doing.
Ash: Lillie, do you know how to differentiate the male Combee and female Combee?
Lillie: Of course, it is by seeing the red mark on the lower Combee. And only the female Combee can evolve into a Vespiquen.
Ash: I will like to have a Vespiquen, considering her moves are really special. Attack Order, Defense Order, and Heal Order, they are only learned by Vespiquen and I don't know if any other Pokemon can learn it.
Then they find a female Combee who has nothing to do, and he challenges it to a battle by using Budew, and Budew's Poison Powder causes it to get poisoned, and Combee is eventually captured. Budew also evolves into a beautiful Roselia after the battle is over.
Ash: That's great, I have a Roselia...and it is a good thing I have a Shiny Stone as well!
Lillie: Now you can have a Roserade!
Ash uses the Shiny Stone on Roselia, and it evolves into a Roserade. And by training with the Combee for a while, it also becomes a beautiful Vespiquen.
Lillie: What is going with you, Ash? How come you are capturing Pokemon that isn't strong but beautiful?
Ash: Well, I feel like being strong is not what to become a Pokemon Master, so I want to be friends with all kinds of Pokemon.
Lillie: (Nods) I see. Then I'll capture an Oricorio for myself.
Lillie points at the Pokemon that is dancing with a Deerling, and she has Fennekin gaining its attention by using Psybeam. Once Oricorio accepts the battle, it goes for Revelation Dance.
Ash: It's in its Balie Form, which means that it is a Fire Type. Be careful, Lillie. It might be strong.
Lillie: I know. I'll be careful.
After carefully defeating Oricorio and capturing it, Fennekin also evolves into a Braixen, much to their joy. And by training a little, Lillie also evolves her Cutiefly into a Ribombee.
As they continue the road, they see that an orange-haired girl approaching them. Ash and Lillie think that they might have seen the girl on the Nosy News in Gellene Town.
?: Hello, there! Lovely day, isn't it? I'm Orange, Outgoing Orange, and I already know your name, Ash.
Ash: (Surprised.) How do you know my name?
Orange: Lemon told me about you. She said you defeated her! I'm sure you can figure out where I'm going with this. But first, why don't you tell me about yourself?
Lillie: Like what?
Orange: Oh sorry, I didn't recognize you. You are?
Lillie: My name is Lillie, I'm traveling with Ash.
Orange: Ah, I see. Like where are you headed today? Aliora City, perhaps?
Ash: Of course, we are going to challenge the gym there.
Orange: I was right! Someone as strong as you is probably challenging the Gyms. Am I right about that too?
Ash: Yeah. (Ash shows her the three badges, Clear Badge, Passion Badge, and Mischief Badge.) I got three badges.
Orange: Wow, three already! I'm guessing you'll be challenging Aretha next. I really like meeting new people. Aretha on the other hand is more reserved. She likes getting out and literally smelling the roses, but she mainly prefers to keep to herself. That doesn't mean she's boring, though! And now that I know a little more about you, how about I challenge Lillie to a battle?
Lillie: Me? But I am not challenging the gyms...
Orange: But you're as strong as Ash. I want to see your Pokemon's teamwork, so let's make it doubles! I'll be going with Tequila and Kae!
Orange's first Pokemon are Krabby and Flareon, so Alice goes for Seismitoad and Electrike to battle.
Orange: Tequila! Use Mud Shot! Kae! Bite!
The Mud Shot is aimed at Electrike, which is super-effective, and Bite causes Seismitoad to flinch. Lillie has Electrike goes for Discharge, which hits both Krabby and Flareon, and Seismitoad is part Ground Type, so it is not very effective.
Lillie: Mud Shot!
Lillie has Seismitoad goes for the Ground Type attack on Flareon, which causes it to take a lot of damage, and Electrike's Thunder Fang knocks Flareon out of the battle.
Orange: Kae is down, but here is QP!
The third Pokemon is Floatzel, and it goes for Aqua Jet, which knocks out Electrike. Lillie sends out Venusaur, and it uses Razor Leaf to defeat Krabby.
Orange: And my final Pokemon is Aru!
The final Pokemon is the Freeze Form Rotom. Rotom goes for Blizzard, which damages Venusuar, but Venusaur goes for Petal Dance, which deals a lot of damage to Floatzel, and Floatzel is defeated by Uproar, which also damages Rotom. And Rotom is defeated by Venusaur's Sludge Bomb, even though it is confused because of the aftermath of Petal Dance.
Orange: They play very well with others! (Recalls both Floatzel and Rotom.) I'm glad we had this battle! You seem like someone who could work well on your own or in a group. We've got even more friends waiting for you, so look forward to that. And good luck in your gym battle, Ash!
After she leaves, Ash and Lillie are looking at each other.
Lillie: I remember that the news said that there are 7 of them, right?
Ash: Which means we will be facing 5 more, I can't wait for that.
As they continue for a while, they find a cave and it is blocked off by a Ranger.
Ranger: Under Seamus' orders, no one is allowed in here.
Ash and Lillie shrug as they leave the rangers alone, and as they continue to find Pokemon, they find Volbeat and Illumise, as well as Tropius in the area as well, but much to their surprise, is that they find four Eevee who are rushing towards them.
Lillie: Woah...this place is also where we can find Eevee? That's cool.
Ash: And there are four of them, it seems to like us a lot. How about we capture two of them each?
Lillie: Good idea.
After battling them for a while, they are now captured by Ash and Lillie. When Ash asks them what Pokemon they want to evolve, the ones with Lillie say that they want to become Jolteon and Flareon. Lillie uses a Fire Stone on Eevee to become a Flareon, but she doesn't have a Thunder Stone since she used it on Vikavolt. As for Ash's, his Eevee want to be Umbreon and Sylveon. Umbreon is evolved at night, which won't be happening until some hours, and for Sylveon, he has to use a Shiny Stone, which he used it on Roserade a while ago. (In Pokemon Spork, Sylveon is evolved through Shiny Stone.)
And by continuing the road, they find a dealer with some nectars besides her.
Dealer: Have you seen a Pokemon in this meadow called Oricorio?
Lillie: I have one in my team, is there something wrong with that?
Dealer: Oricorios actually has four forms, each representing a different style of dance. It changes forms through eating certain kinds of nectar. I happen to have all four of them right here. Would you like to buy them?
Lillie: I'll buy them. It will be great to use all four of the nectars to have four different styles of Oricorio.
After that, she purchases all four nectar as they continue their road. On the tree, they find a sleeping Rowlet, and it surprises them.
Lillie: A Rowlet in the wild...that is so cool.
Ash has Decidueye greet the Rowlet, but it just faces away from it, causing the Pokemon to be shocked.
Ash: I wonder what's wrong with this Rowlet...
Then Decidueye is now facing it again, only for it to turn a different direction. After doing two more times, Rowlet suddenly flies and it goes into Lillie's arms.
Lillie: Do you want to come with me? Rowlet?
Rowlet nods, and Lillie captures the Pokemon with a Pokeball.
Ash: Looks like you even have a Rowlet with you as well...
Lillie: I wasn't expecting this as well.
Just then, they see that Lillie's backpack is glowing, and they know what is going on.
Lillie: My Sizzlipede egg...it is about to hatch!
Then after a while, a newborn Sizzlipede is born. Lillie pets the Pokemon and she likes it.
Lillie: It's so cute. (Hugging the Pokemon.)
Ash: I know. And when Sizzlipede evolves, it can become a powerful Centiskorch as well.
Lillie: I will look forward to it.
After that, they leave the meadow as they go to the city in front of them.
Here is a new chapter, and in this chapter, Ash and Lillie are now in a new place. As I mentioned, because of the Espeon Zodiac, Ash can now capture Shaymin, but I decide to against it since I want it to be in the Post Game. And this is also a place where you can find Eevee, as I had to capture all 8 of them here in this forest to each evolve it into their respective Eeveelution. Only Sylveon's evolution method is different than the real games, as you can use Shiny Stone to evolve it. I hope you like this chapter.
