Chapter 30 BCC
As they are about to battle Chelsea, they see a ranger coming towards them.
Ranger: Chelsea, it's an emergency!
Chelsea: (Confused.) Ranger danger?
Ranger: (In a hurried tone.) With all due respect, now's not the time to be making puns! Something is up with the BCC!
Gladion: BCC?
Chelsea: BCC is short for Beach Cleanup Crew. They're a group of volunteers who pick up what gets left on the beach. If they can find the owner, they return it to them. If not, they donate it.
Lillie: (Mutters.) So they were supposed to clean up the beach, not us...
Chelsea: So, what's up with them? Explain from the beginning.
Ranger: Well, to start with, I came here from the Ranger HQ to thank them for keeping the beach a clean place. It's always nice to see civilians taking care of the environment too, right? Well, I went in and found them in the middle of the meeting upstairs. From what I gathered, they were talking about how they don't need this place anymore and that the last "batch" was being shipped to "HQ". I was rash and went into the meeting to ask what they meant by all that. They ganged up on me and locked the meeting room, and now they have a guard out front.
Chelsea: Yeah, I think we should go in there and force them out. I don't know what they're doing, but it sounds like they have a Nasty Plot.
Emily: I wonder if Team Portal is behind this? (Ash and Lillie look at her with surprise.)
Chelsea: Team Portal?
Ash: They are bad guys. We can talk more about them after this is dealt with, but apparently, they've been causing some trouble recently. We had a few run-ins with them, as they tried to take over the Cianosa Game Corner.
Chelsea: Well, whoever they are, we need to take care of them. Just one thing, ranger.
Ranger: (Confused.) Yes?
Chelsea: Don't expect me to stop making puns just because we might be dealing with some dangerous criminals. I'm not scared of the BCC or Team Portal or anyone, because Omanyte. If they think they can mess around on this beach, they're going to feel my Poliwrath! (Her words cause Ash, Lillie, Gladion, and Emily look at her with surprise.)
Ranger: Got it...
Chelsea: So Ash, Lillie, Gladion, Emily, are you coming too?
Ash+Lillie: Of course we are.
Gladion: I've always watched over Lillie, and that carried over to our vacation too.
Emily: I've been impressed over and over with how well Ash's been handling himself here in Ceolis. I think the four of you are strong enough to deal with the BCC, or whoever they really are. But I'm still Ash's sister, and this situation is still dangerous. I'm not just going to sit here and wait while who knows what happens in there.
Chelsea: Well said! If I had siblings, I'd want to Protect them just as much! I'll make a Quick work for the Guard. Then we'll all storm the building! (All six of them rush to the BCC building.)
As they get inside the building, they find a lot of Team Portal Grunts in the building.
Ash: It really is Team Portal!
One of the members spots them and they send out some Pokemon.
Chelsea: (Sends out Brionne.) Riko! Use Surf!
Her Brionne usees the move as it washes the grunt's Pokemon, and they continue to battle the Gym Leader.
PA: You might be a gym leader, but I have the type advantage right now!...wait, no I don't. I forgot Brionne doesn't gain Fairy Type until it evolves.
Chelsea: (Turns to Ash and the others.) We'll hold these in place, you three go clean the rest!
As they continue forward, they find more grunts approaching them.
PA: You might have Chelsea with you, but Chelsea isn't the one battling me, you are!
Ranger: (Sending out Machop.) You three go ahead, I'll take care of these.
Now that they are rushing forward, they find some Portal Agents trying to fight them.
PA Colton: Don't think this'll end up like the Game Corner!
Ash and Lillie are surprised that they know them, but then again, Barker must have spread things about them. He sends out Manectric and Torkoal, and both of them are defeated by Krookodile and Ampharos, which is evolved from Flaaffy during the battle.
PA Colton: Okay, maybe it will...(Recalls Torkoal.) Actually, at this point, it doesn't even matter.
PA Sharon: Maybe when I beat you I'll get a promotion.
She uses Spoink, Elekid, and Galaian Meowth, Emily has Naomi battle it, her Vulpix single-handed all three of them with ease.
PA Sharon: Or I'll lose and get demoted...(Recalls Meowth.) Nah. I'm already at the bottom.
Now the four of them are upstairs, and they are still fighting with some grunts.
PA Gwen: In my personal life, I'm just a regular lady. No one would ever accuse me of anything shady.
She uses Munchlax, Drizzile, and Gloom to battle, while Gladion handles this and he uses Porygon-Z to defeat both of them.
PA Gwen: I don't know what they'd think if they knew how low I was willing to sink. (Recalls Gloom.) Please don't tell my friends about this. In return, I'll give you a kiss.
Gladion: No thanks. (Quickly leave.)
As the four of them get to a door on the second floor, they find it locked.
Emily: The meeting room is locked, like the ranger's said.
Lillie: We should look around to see if we can find a way to unlock the gate.
Ash: Maybe there are on the other side of the room, we should check it out.
As the others are going to the next room, they find a Portal Agent stopping them.
PA Sebastian: I see you trying to sneak into our storage room.
He sends out Duskull and Sandygast, and Lillie goes for Mimikyu to battle, and she also defeats the two Pokemon with ease as well.
PA Sebastian: I didn't see that coming, though...(Recalls Sandygast.) I'll pretend I didn't see you.
As they enter the storage room, they look around to see a lot of stuff.
Lillie: The Storage Room...this is where BCC puts the things they picked up from the beach, right?
Ash: I guess so.
Just then, two more Team Portal Agents are here waiting for them.
PA Brendan: Are you after our switch or our loot?
PA Reese: Either way, you're getting the boot.
They go for Sandslash and Dugtrio, and Ash goes for Luxio while Lillie goes for Floatzel. With their teamwork, Luxio evolves into Luxray, and then both Pokemon are defeated.
PA Brendan: Take both, just leave us alone!
PA Reese: We got stomped on...
After recalling their Pokemon, they tell them that most of the stuff is already shipped out. But they find the switch and they press it.
Emily: I guess now the door should be opened...
Gladion: Let's go.
When they get to the meeting room, they find four grunts having a meeting.
Gladion: There are four people here, let's do it together.
After the four grunts, which are named Ronaldo, Paige, Cynthia, and Folcrom, spot them, they battle with Ash, Lillie, Gladion, and Emily. But they are not their levels, and they are defeated easily. Ash also evolves his Dottler into Orbeetle in the battle, as well as Inkay into Malamar.
Ash: (Seeing the fallen grunts.) Now that's out of the way...
Lillie: I guess that whoever's in charge of the BCC is in the room ahead of us.
Emily: I think I need a breather...if you want to keep going, I'll leave the rest up to you. But if you need my help, I'll be right beside you!
Ash: Okay, just rest up, sis.
Gladion decides to stay with Emily while Ash and Lillie enter the room. They see a blue-haired person with some sort of diving suit in front of them. They can't tell the gender of the person in front of them.
?: Ash and Lillie, right?
Lillie: Who are you, and what are you doing with this BCC?
Quinn: I'm Quinn, one of the Team Portal's three admins. It's a good thing Barker warned us about you. Seems like you'll be a recurring enemy for us.
Ash: (Rolls his eyes.) Yeah, a lot of teams that I faced said the same thing.
Quinn: This place doesn't even matter to us anymore as of today. But out of principle and to prevent future problems, I'll show you what happens when you meddle in other people's business! Go, Airsports!
Lillie decides to be the one to battle, and she goes for Jolteon. It goes for Swords Dance and Agility to raise its Attack and Speed Stat, Jolteon goes for Discharge, which eventually defeats the Pokemon.
Quinn: LuxuryElite! Teach that Pokemon a lesson!
The second Pokemon is Ludicolo, which goes for Rain Dance to make it rain. Lillie switches to Yanma for battle. With Yanma's speed, it goes for Bug Buzz, which deals a lot of damage. Ludicolo goes for Nature Power, which becomes Tri-Attack, and it paralyzes Yanma, but Yanma defeats the Pokemon by using U-turn.
Quinn: telepath! I need your help.
The third Pokemon is Golduck, with the U-turn, Lillie sends out Bayleaf to battle. Bayleaf goes for Magical Leaf, and it is now blocked by Disable. It also goes for Zen Headbutt, in the end, Bayleef is defeated.
Lillie: I'm sorry, Bayleef.
She sends back Jolteon, and having it use Discharge to defeat the Golduck.
Quinn: Riverwave! You're next!
The fourth Pokemon is Swanna, and Lillie goes for Lanturn to battle, and the battle is a little easy as Lanturn uses Signal Beam and then Charge Beam to defeat the Pokemon.
Quinn: Damn it...Laserdisc, you're my final Pokemon.
The final Pokemon is Porygon 2, and Lillie goes for Meditite to battle, as the Psybeam is not going to do much damage to a Psychic Type Pokemon. Then Meditite goes for Focus Punch, which in the end defeats Quinn's last Pokemon.
Quinn: Oh, okay...(Recalls Porygon 2. At the same time, everyone on Ash and Lillie's side is standing behind them.) So you'll still be a thorn in our side for a bit longer. (Notices Emily and the others.) When did you four get here?
Chelsea: We got here while you were battling Lillie. You Swanna explain to us what's the deal with this "Team Portal" is, Quinn?
Quinn: Alright, fine. Since we don't need this place anymore anyway, I don't see the harm in telling you. We never did donate anything, and we only returned what was completely useless to us. Anyone you might see us "donating" to was an undercover Team Portal agent.
Ash: And what's the point of all this? I'm guessing it's more than a bunch of people wanting these things.
Quinn: Let's just say the point is moot now. We were looking for something, now we know where it is, and it's not near Bolaii Beach. We're abandoning this building. You can demolish it, remodel it, or make your own BCC if you'd like.
Chelsea: Then you'd better Run Away from here and never come back. Or we won't just be thorns in your side, we'll be FERROthorns!
Quinn: I'd leave the region and never come back if it meant I wouldn't have to hear another one of your puns. (Noticing Chelsea's angry face.) ...that sounded harsher than I intended it to, sorry...I don't really mind the puns, but sometimes you get a little carried away with them.
After Quinn and Team Portal leave the building, Chelsea is now furious.
Chelsea: (Yell) They think I get carried away with my puns? Next time I'll give them a Double Hit of puns!
Lillie: Calm down, it's not worth it, Chelsea.
Chelsea: I'm curious what it is Team Portal is looking for...I should've asked, but I don't think they would've answered something that important.
Ash: Just tell me about it...
Chelsea: We'll have to Odor Sleuth them out in the future, but we did well for today. Ash, whenever you're ready to battle, I'll be on the beach where we met before!
Ash: Okay.
After everyone leaves, Ash and Lillie search for the place to find a Marble, and a Toy Robot.
Lillie: This must be the Toy Robot that the woman in Aliora City wants.
Ash: Yeah, let's take it so that we won't forget.
But as they are leaving, they find a Team Portal Agent sitting at the counter.
PA: (Noticing Ash and Lillie.) Wait! I said before I didn't want to get my hands dirty, but I'm actually not even a trainer, to begin with. Since we've been exposed, I guess people will be without a "BCC" and it would be up to the beach-goers to clean up the beach. But I think I'm going to leave Team Portal. It's going to get very stressful for everyone with you around blowing their cover and stopping them. Especially for a powerless non-combatant like me. I'll make a new BCC. An honest BCC that really does want to keep the beach spotless.
Ash: That's good to know.
PA: Will you like a new friend? These Pokemon showed up on the beach sometimes. I think you'll be able to take better care of it than I can.
Ash then receives a Pyukumuku, and then he recalls it and then they go back outside so Ash can have his Gym battle.
Here is a new chapter, and Team Portal strikes again and this time the final admin is revealed. I hope you like it and the next chapter will be Gym battle.
