Chapter 33 Olidroll City Part 1
Ash and Lillie are almost at the exit, as they reach the top of the mountain. But they are stopped by a girl who is waiting for them.
?: Hi there! I've been waiting for you! Your brother and sister passed through here earlier. They came right in time after the Tyrantrum calmed down. Your sister even found it and caught it! It was upset because it has a Marble stuck in its throat. (Gives the Marble to Ash.)
Ash: Another Marble? I start to think these are just items that are easily found in this region...
Lime: Oh, I was so excited about the Tyrantrum I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Lime, and I'll be the fourth to battle you.
Lillie: So you are the fourth member that has been looking for trainers...I'll battle you.
Lime: I might be the youngest of my crew, but that doesn't mean I'm the weakest! Go! Wonky!
Lime's first Pokemon is a Reuniclus, and Lillie sends out Scrafty for a Type Advantage.
Lime: Use Reflect and Light Screen!
As both protections are set up, Lillie knows it is going to be hard to attack. She has Scrafty goes for Crunch, which deals some damage, but Reuniclus goes for Pain Split to make it equal.
Lillie: It doesn't matter if it does it again and again. Beat Up!
Scrafty goes for six punches at the Reuniclus, and it eventually knocks it out of the battle.
Lime: Then I'll go with Rainy!
Her second Pokemon is Kecleon, and Lillie switches to Hariyama to battle. It goes for Sucker Punch, which doesn't do any damage, but after Hariyama goes for Arm Thrust, Kecleon becomes a Fighting Type instead.
Ash: It has Color Change ability...that is not good.
Kecleon also goes for Substitute to make sure that Hariyama can't hit the Pokemon, but in the end, Hariyama goes for Heavy Slam, which knocks Kecleon out of the battle.
Lime: Oops, Rainy is defeated, then I'll go with Celium!
Her third Pokemon is Politoed, and Lillie goes for Venusaur to battle this one. Venusaur is hit by Swagger, and it is now confused because of the move. But thanks to Lillie's call, Venusaur snaps out of it and goes with Petal Blizzard.
Lime: Use Hypnosis and Perish Song!
Ash and Lillie widen their eyes, as Politoed is going to a suicide attempt and taking Venusaur down. Lillie is now hesitating to switch Pokemon or not, but because of the hesitating, both Pokemon faint in the end.
Lillie: I shouldn't hesitate, I should have switched Pokemon...but everyone does mistakes.
Lime: That might be right. Here is my fourth Pokemon, Sandy!
The fourth Pokemon is Vibrava, Lillie goes with Snowy to battle her. Snowy goes for the Super Effective Blizzard, which deals a lot of damage. But Vibrava uses Rock Slide to deal some damage and even flinching the Ninetales.
Lime: Use Bug Buzz!
The Bug Type attack is hurting Snowy, but Lillie has Snowy go for Confuse Ray, which makes Vibrava confused.
Lillie: Now please don't miss the attack, use Blizzard again!
And much to Lillie's delight, the attack hits Vibrava, and it knocks out the Pokemon in the end.
Lime: Here is my final Pokemon, Aliora!
As the final Pokemon is Meganium, Lillie goes for Centiskorch to battle.
Ash: The nickname is because of the places? But I don't think I have been to someplace like Rainy, Sandy, or Celium...
Meganium uses Poison Powder to poison Centiskorch, and Centiskorch tries to use Fire attacks like Flame Wheel to deal a lot of damage, only to have it healed by Synthesis. And the Burn effect is also healed by Aromatherapy. Centiskorch delivers a Bug Buzz, finally knocking out Meganium after several tries.
Lime: I wasn't enough, either! (Recalls Meganium.) Now I see why Lemon, Orange, and Cherry were talking about you two so much! Every time you battle one of us, that gets everyone more hyped! Can you keep up the winning streak against the final three? I can't wait to find out! I'll see you around!
Ash: (After seeing her leaving.) Well done, Lillie. That was a nice battle.
Lillie: (Smiles.) I couldn't have done it without your help, you are my teacher and my strategies are coming from you.
And now they are at the gate, and before they're going to pass through, a girl suddenly appears and stops them.
?: Well, aren't you just the cutest thing? I could just pinch your cheeks. What's your name?
Ash: (Stepping in front of Lillie.) I am Ash and this is Lillie. Who are you and what do you want?
Kelani: Ah, nice to meet you, Ash and Lillie. I'm Kelani. I'm here in Ceolis on vacation, I'm originally from the Zhyion Region. Things were getting pretty dull back home.
Lillie: That makes us the same. We are in Ceolis on vacation as well.
Kelani: Oh, you're visiting too huh? Well, I hope you're having fun as much as I am. By the way. You're trainers, yes? How many badges do you have?
Ash: Only I am doing the Gym Battles. I have five of them.
Kelani: Only five, huh? Well, it looks like you've still got a long way to go. But anyway, I've gotta get going now. It was nice meeting you two, Ash and Alice. Maybe we'll see each other again. Bye-bye!
After that, Ash and Lillie see her leaving for Classic Park.
Lillie: She is weird.
Ash: I know. But we're finally here, Olidroll City. The Biggest City in the whole Ceolis Region. Let's go to the Pokemon Center to rest before we explore that whole place.
Lillie nods as they enter the city, even though it is nighttime, the city is quite lively as well. And they manage to find a room in the Pokemon Center and go to rest.
The next day, Ash and Lillie are now fully awake as they explore the whole city, but before that, they find a worried Scientist.
Scientist: Excuse me, would you mind doing me a favor?
Ash: What is it?
Scientist: I don't have my clipboard on me. I think I must have lost it somewhere in Olidroll. If you find it, could you bring it back to me?
Lillie: Sure, we'll help.
And after that, they also decide to listen to the Nosy News.
Nosy Nosepass: Good whatever time of day it is for you, viewers! I'm Nosy Nosepass here at Nosy News, keeping you up to date on the latest happenings in the Ceolis region! Today I have some disappointing news to share. Not disappointing as in boring, but as in something we thought was good was actually not so good. The BCC, or Beach Cleanup Crew if you're unfamiliar with the acronym, was a group of volunteers who kept Bolaii Beach clean. They picked up litter and items that got left on the beach and returned personal belongings to their owners if they could find them, or so we thought. It turns out that the BCC was a front for an organization called Team Portal, which had self-serving reasons for setting up the BCC base there.
Ash: Wait, don't tell me that we are on the news...that will be embarrassing...
Nosy Nosepass: Chelsea and five others stormed the base and forced them out. One of the five with Chelsea was a Pokemon Ranger, and Chelsea wished to keep the other four anonymous so that Team Portal doesn't follow them.
Lillie: Thank goodness...
Nosy Nosepass: From what Chelsea and the ranger told me, they weren't able to learn much about Team Portal's motives. They also worried they were too late to stop whatever Team Portal was doing since they were getting ready to close shop on that base anyway. After seeing the news, the crowd is surprised to learn about this Team Portal, and Ash and Lillie just look at each other with concern.
Ash: I guess people don't know about Team Portal until now?
Lillie: I guess so. Let's not think about that. Where should we go first?
Ash: We are in the Services District...it has been separated into three districts. How about we explore this place first?
Lillie: Good idea.
Their first stop is the P.I.E Tours Building, they learn from Jim about this place, so they decide to check it out.
Receptionist: Hello, welcome to the official headquarters of P.I.E tours! Have complimentary Fresh Water!
Ash and Lillie take each bottle of water, and they hear what he has to say.
Receptionist: (Notices Ash's Clear Badge.) That badge you have there is the Clear Badge! I don't know if you know or not, but Jim actually works with us as a tour guide. I believe he'll be giving a tour of Premoggin Canyon soon. Maybe you'll run into him if you go there?
Ash: We'll consider that.
Receptionist: Oh, while you're here, why not take this too?
Ash and Lillie are not surprised as they got another new Marble with them, they just got one from Lime yesterday.
Receptionist: When Mable was scattering these around, she gave one to us. She said we can give it to whomever we want. I'd say you're a special guest, carrying that Badge around! If you meet Jim, tell him I said hi!
Lillie: We will.
They walk around the place and they find an Officer Jenny in front of a house, which belongs to the Move Deleter.
Jenny: This house used to belong to the Move Deleter, but he moved to another region. It seems like he was so good at forgetting he forgot to take some of his belongings with him. We're sorting that out right now. I don't think he'll need this, though. Do you want it?
Officer Jenny is offering them a Marble, and they of course take it. Next, they find a Move Tutor's House, a Fisherman is stopping them as he is giving them an item.
Fisherman: It's pretty nice of the Move Tutor here to offer her services for free! The Move Tutor where I'm from asks for a Heart Scale in exchange for a move. I guess I won't be needing this, do you want it?
Ash and Lillie get a Heart Scale from the fisherman, and they learn that Luvdisc sometimes holds the item.
Here is a new chapter, in this city, there is a lot of quests to do, and there are a lot of places to explore as well. Olidroll City is split into three parts, with the Services District, Residental District, and finally the Recreation District. There are also two gyms in the area, which one of them will be revealed in the next chapter. I hope you like it.
