Chapter 35 Olidroll City Part 3
Ash and Lillie are now at Recreation Area, where Raymond wants them to find some clues about the vitamin problem. They find a Fan Club as they enter the place and meet the chairman.
Fan Club Chairman: Hello there, I'm the chairman of Ceolis' Pokemon Fan Club. I've no interest in battling. Watching battles can be fun on occasion, but I'd rather just have Pokemon as pets. I prefer the simple yet meaningful things, like seeing a Pokemon's face right up as it eats its favorite food. I made the Pokemon Fan Club here so others can share moments like these. I'm not the first in the world to make a Pokemon Fan Club, but that doesn't make me feel unoriginal. On the contrary, it makes me happy there are people out there who appreciate Pokemon as much as or maybe more than me! I can tell you really love Pokemon as well. As thanks for listening to this old man's story, you can have this.
Ash and Lillie obtain the Oval Charm, and they are welcomed to the club as they like Pokemon. And they decide to ask more people. Only to be given two Pokemon gifts.
Man: What is your favorite Pokey Mon? Cacnea, Maractus, or Ferroseed?
Lillie: I like Maractus, but what does it matter?
Then she is given a Maractus as a gift, much to her surprise.
Man: This Pokemon is pretty rare. Take good care of it!
Ash: (Turns to Lillie.) Maractus' Ability might be good to use, it is Water Absorb.
Lillie: I know. I'll make sure it becomes strong.
Woman: I'm promoting a Pokemon called Poipole! I visited Ultra Metropolis and this cute Pokemon was really popular there! Why don't you take one? You seem like a nice trainer!
And Lillie also gains a Poipole as a gift, much to her surprise.
Ash: Lillie, now you have an Ultra Beast with you, not to mention a Poipole just like mine.
Lillie: Yeah, and I wasn't expecting this as well...
But they haven't found out anything about the vitamins, so they leave the club to search for more.
They go to the park as they try to capture some Pokemon and train some Pokemon as well. Lillie trains her Slowpoke and Meditite by battling the Plusle and Minun on the grass, and Slowpoke evolves into a Slowbro without the need of Shellder, while Meditite evolves into a Medicham. She also trains Poipole to learn Dragon Pulse, and it evolves into a Naganadel in the end.
Ash: I guess having Shellder evolve is just accelerating the evolution.
Lillie: Yeah...and Medicham looks strong as well. Though I didn't know that to evolve a Poipole, you just need to have it learn Dragon Pulse.
Ash: I was surprised by it as well.
And Ash has Shuppet and Duskull battle Dedenne and Emolga in the grass, and he also evolves them into Banette and Dusclops.
Ash: Banette and Dusclops...if only there is a Reaper Cloth so I can evolve Dusclops into Dusknoir.
They also find a Meowth, an Alolan Meowth, and a Galarian Meowth on the ground, Meowth and Alolan Meowth are holding a coin as they want Ash and Lillie to guess heads or tails. After they win the game, all three of them join their team.
Lillie: First of all, three different Meowth in the same place is weird, and second of all...what just happened...
Ash: Well, I guess we have three more members, how about you train this Kantonian Meowth while I train Alolan and Galarian? I even found this Meowthite on the ground.
Lillie: Sure, I'll like to use a Gigantamax Meowth.
And Ash has Galarian Meowth battle a Swirlix and evolves into Perrserker in the end, and he also captures a Spritzee and a Snubbull with the help of the Steel Type Pokemon. Snubull also evolves into a Granbull while training. As for Alolan Meowth, Ash also trains it to evolve into Persian by battling Morpeko, and he also evolves Ducklett into a Swanna by battling Spirtzee as well.
And after training for a while, they find a familiar face that they haven't seen since Western Waterway.
Ash: Crolea, it is nice to see you again.
Crolea: Hey, Ash, Lillie! It's been a while! Did you ever find anything out about the nervous feeling at the Western Waterway?

Bewear goes for the move Return, which causes Skarmory to send backward. Ash knows that Bewear is a strong Pokemon and he can't underestimate it.
Ash: For future Pokemon...I will use Spike.
Skarmory set up spikes on the ground, and Bewear goes for Facade. Without the status effects, Facade doesn't do that much damage.
Lillie: Good thing that Skarmory is a Steel Type...
Bewear goes for Hammer Arm, which slams at Skarmory, but it gives him a chance to use Steel Wing, defeating Bewear in the end.
Crolea's second Pokemon is Astra, her Gothorita, and Ash goes for Beedrill to battle.
Ash: Beedrill! Use Pin Missile!
Beedrill shoots out the attack and hits Gothorita multiple times, but Crolea doesn't seem to be worried as it goes for Fake Tears, which lowers Beedrill's Special Attack.
Crolea: Even though Beedrill is a Bug Type, which is super effective against a Psychic-type, but it is also a Poison Type, and we can finish it with Psyshock!
Beedrill is hit by the Psychic Type attack and it falls to the ground, but before fainting, it manages to land a Poison Jab, which makes Gothorita confused.
Ash: Good thing that Beedrill's efforts aren't in vain. I'll try this one. Orbeetle!
As the Psychic Bug Type Pokemon appears on the field, it goes for Bug Buzz, which deals some damage to Gothorita. And after Gothorita goes for Psyshock again, it uses Mirror Coat to defeat it.
Crolea: I was never expecting that your Pokemon can learn Mirror Coat...Here is my third Pokemon, Alien!
Ash is surprised to see her Inkay evolves, but he continues to use Orbeetle to battle as he knows that Dark and Psychic are both weak to Bug Type. Orbeetle goes for Bug Buzz, which gives Malamar a little damage.
Ash: (Notices the Berry.) Let me guess, it holds a Tanga Berry which blocks Super Effective Bug Type move?
Crolea: You're right.
Malamar goes for Foul Play, and Ash groans as his Orbeetle is also a Psychic Type, which means Dark Type is still going to be super effective. She has Orbeetle goes for Bug Buzz again, and it eventually defeats the Pokemon after hitting it several amounts of times.
Crolea's fourth Pokemon is Starmie named Star, and Ash realizes that she also uses a Water Stone to evolve this Pokemon, so he goes for Pikachu to battle.
Ash: Let's get the first move by using Thunderbolt!
After hitting the Pokemon with the move, Lillie is confused a little.
Lillie: I thought she would use Reflect Type like last time, but I guess it learns new moves?
Crolea: You're right about that.
Starmie goes for Singal Beam, and Ash isn't expecting a Bug Type Move, and Pikachu is hit as he is sent back to the ground. Starmie also uses the chance to do Recover.
Ash: Of course the Recover is here...Use Quick Attack!
Pikachu charges at the Pokemon, but Starmie goes for Psyshock to hit Pikachu, knocking it on the floor again. But in the end, Pikachu goes for Electro Web, eventually knocking it out of the battle.
The final Pokemon for Crolea is Steelix named Core, and Ash realizes that she also evolves her Onix as it is now looking much stronger. Ash decides to go with Charizard to battle this Pokemon.
Crolea: I see what you are aiming for, but I have a plan to hit Charizard.
Ash is surprised to see that Steelix is going for Rock Slide, which is super-effective against Charizard. Not only that, the effect of Rock Slide is to make Charizard flinch, which is not good for Charizard.
Ash: Charizard! Use Flamethrower!
Charizard shoots out the fire and hits Steelix, causing it to roar in pain, and Steelix also goes for Gyro Ball, which knocks Charizard to the ground. In the end, Charizard goes for Seismic Toss, which eventually knocks the Pokemon out.

They tell her about the half prices of the vitamins in the Department Store, and how Raymond asks them to investigate it.

Ash: Wait, Delicia is also here as well? (He remembers her sister is one of the admins of Team Portal, and she might also be one of them.)
