A/N Just so you know, the fourth book was not one of my favorites, but as I want to continue the story and because I promised that I would never skip any part of the story I decided I couldn't in good conscience leave it out. So bear with me and if you don't like it wait until book 5 I know it will be better. Thanks. Also I want to rescind something that was in the story I just finished. BlackGryphon101 reminded me that in this book it says that the map can be used by someone with evil intentions as evidenced by the fact that Barty Crouch Jr. could use it. As I said, I haven't read this book much so I didn't remember. If something like that occurs again tell me and I will try to fix it.

Also, since I am really bad at computing time, I realized after I finished the last story that I have a small problem. It is technically the day that the rest of the students will return and that will give the people in the RoR less than six hours to read the remaining four books. Therefore, I decided to do a bit of change and so I decided that they will ask the RoR to make it so that however much time they spend in there no time will have passed outside the room (kinda like Narnia, if anyone has read the series or watched the movies). This will solve the problem of time. This will also bring up the question of food because no matter what happens outside the room, time will flow normally inside the room so that they will need to sleep and eat. They can ask the RoR for sleeping arrangements, but as we learn in Deathly Hallows, you cannot conjure food, so I decided to solve that problem by having them put permanent freshening and refilling charms on the food they will bring back from the Great Hall, so that whenever the plates and jugs of pumpkin juice start to get empty they will refill and no one will go hungry.

Okay, so this story hasn't been worked on since 2010. But now that I have republished it I will start working on it again. I have plans to continue through the rest of the books (except Cursed Child as I don't subscribe to the things revealed there even if JK wrote them sorry).

Disclaimer: All of the characters and events in bold belong to J.K. Rowlingand I am not trying to make a profit on this or claim it as my own. Freedom is mine as is the young girl they met in the first book in case I happen to mention her in here or she somehow comes into the story.

Chapter One

Dumbledore sat in his chair at the head table thinking about what had happened over the last twelve hours. It seemed incredible that someone so young could accomplish so much. What would happen in this next book? And considering what happened in the last book, how dark would this one be?

His hand went to the pocket of his robes where a solid gold locket rested containing the mark of Slytherin and something else that he didn't even want to think about. He remembered the meeting he had had with Regulus Black after he had been handed the locket by the Black family's house elf who had apologized to him for being late with it and had tried to hit himself in the head with one of his various silver instruments. After hearing the elf's story, he had realized what it must mean and what was incased inside the locket. He just wasn't sure how to deal with it or what to do.

After he had talked with the elf he had gone down to the hospital wing to talk to Regulus.

"Kreacher has been to see me, , and has told me everything he knows about this business. I would like to hear your take on this subject."

"I… As you probably know, I joined the Death Eaters before I even left Hogwarts. I'd heard all my life that the pure bloods superiority over the muggle-borns and muggles. I… just wanted to fit in somewhere I guess and I wanted to please my parents. I saw how angry they always were with Sirius when he would try to defend his friends and the muggles. I was never as brave as him and the fact that all my friends seemed to be joining…" seeing Dumbledore's glare, "I know, I know, it was an excuse. Then shortly after I joined, the Dark Lord said he needed a house elf and I volunteered Kreacher. As he probably told you, the Dark Lord left him there to die after he treated him horribly.

"When Kreacher told me, I was horrified. Kreacher had always been a good friend to me and the fact that he was treated in such a fashion made me think about what I was doing and take a good hard look at my life and the way it was going. It was not a pretty picture. From then on, I tried to do all I could for the people that the Dark Lord went after. If I had enough time, I would try to warn them ahead of time.

"Then last week, I heard that there was a raid on the Potter home. I wasn't there, I had been on another mission, I was even more horrified when I learned that everyone had died in the house had died. I knew that Sirius would have been there because that is where he lives during the summer. Horrified, I went back to Kreacher and asked him to tell me what he knew about the object that the Dark Lord had put in the basin. He told me it was a horcrux and explained to me what that was. I didn't think I could have been more shocked than I was then."

Dumbledore stiffened, "Did you say 'horcrux?'" he hissed.

Regulus nodded, "I asked Kreacher to bring me to the cave and he did so. I brought with me a locket that I had been given by my uncle Alphard that had been his wife's. In that locket, I placed a note that stated that I had the locket and would destroy it as soon as possible. I didn't think I would still be alive when he read it. I told Kreacher to switch the lockets after I drank the potion and then go home. Because I was not the true master of the house of Black and my mother, unknown by me, had ordered him to keep me safe, he refused to leave and brought me home where I was able to recuperate."

Dumbledore nodded, "That was very brave of you, Mr. Black, I am proud of you. Remember that everyone makes mistakes in their lives and what's important is that we learn from them and try not to repeat them. Get some rest now and be ready for tomorrow."

"What happens tomorrow?"

"We read the rest of the book and try to get some answers and try to change the future."

After lunch, the seven readers left the Great Hall and Dumbledore stopped at the kitchens to pick up a huge tray of goodies and things to eat as well as several jugs of pumpkin juice. At the questioning looks he got from his companions, he just smiled and said, "You'll see."

When they reached the Room of Requirement, Dumbledore asked Severus to go inside and ask Regulus to come outside. Then he started to speak a very complicated spell over the hallway and the door into the Room of Requirement. When he was done, the hallway glowed blue for a moment and then all was still.

"What did you do, Professor?" asked Lily in awe.

"I placed a spell on the school so that time would stop as soon as we enter the room, so that no time will pass as long as we are in this room."

"What about food?" asked Sirius.

"And a place to sleep?" asked James.

"And what happens when it comes to a full moon?" asked Remus quietly.

"I don't think it will take us another three weeks to read these stories, but even if it does, the full moon won't have happened yet so you won't be affected. Now let's go inside and start reading the next book."

They all nodded and entered the room.
