OhmygodIcan'tbelievethathappened...

Rushing to the lift bank, Marinette held the basket of pastries close to her chest. While at university, she was helping out in the bakery by delivering the bakery's orders to the office blocks around the city. One of the offices she had visited was where Alya worked. The same time she was making her delivery of baked goods to Alya's floor, the fashion editor had been leaving their office, with a certain blonde in tow.

Clocking Marinette, he had made an effort to come and say hello, hoping she would not run off and was unaware that Alya was sitting behind the partition wall. Marinette's gaze had met his with a panicked expression.

Although he had probably not heard all of the conversation, the part he had heard was clear...

"...if you're lucky enough you might get to feed him your muffin!" Followed by Alya's menacingly loud cackle, Marinette's face turned a deep shade of rouge and Adrien's eyes widened in shock at the crudeness of her comment. It was very obvious there was an innuendo in Alya's words.

Alya shifted to see what Marinette had been gawping at, bringing her chair out from behind the wall, and strained around to see him. If Adrien hadn't already realised Alya had been referencing him in her comment, the next sentence out of her mouth would have definitely spelled it out for him.

"Talk of the devil, Adrien would you like a muffin?" She asked almost too innocently.

Marinette had mumbled a hurried goodbye and stepped towards Adrien to escape to the elevators, tripping over Alya's chair wheel in the process and landing with her head in his crotch. It could only have gone better, if Marinette had not had the remnants of white icing on her fingers, which consequently had ended up, smeared in a rather compromising area of his black cotton trousers. His attempts to catch her had been thwarted by his own wondering mind, as he snapped out of an inappropriate daze just a second too late. Now said subject of his daze, had her sultry lips mere inches away from an awakened area of his body.

The ground had not swallowed her up, as she requested, so here she was, frantically pressing the button to call the elevator.

Ding

The elevator doors opened, and as two people walked out, taking their sweet ass time, Marinette hastily entered. Letting out a sigh of relief and leaning against the back panel as the doors began to shut, she was left to ride out this embarrassing moment on her own.

In truth, her and Adrien had been skirting around each other since their identities had been revealed. He had proclaimed his ecstasy at her being his bug, where Marinette had stood in shock before running away faster than the speed of light. Every time Adrien had gotten close to the budding designer, she had found a way to evade him, feeling more and more guilty every time at her inability to face her long term crush and partner. Part of the problem being she did not believe Adrien could actually ever love her the way she loved him, the other part was not being able to find the right words to convey her thoughts adequately.

She knew she needed to talk to him, but her deer in headlights impression proved to her that she was not ready. Marinette did not see this improving for a long while.

The relief was short lived, before unexpected fingertips managed to snake their way into the closing doors, causing them to open up and reveal a flustered looking Adrien.

"Hey!" He composed himself as he casually stepped into the elevator. His hair slightly askew, evidence of running his fingers through his perfectly tamed mop, drooped slightly into his eyes. The white fitted shirt, with the sleeves carefully rolled up to the elbows, clung to his muscular torso, highlighting his defined body beneath. The top two buttons left undone, underneath his lightly stubbled chiseled jaw, perfectly framed a coy smile. Tilting his head down, he side glanced at Marinette as he leaned next to her in the back of the lift, his green eyes scanning her face. "Still avoiding me I see."

Marinette could feel her heart beat quicken at the close proximity of their bodies, eyes fixated on the now closed doors. "N-no, I ju-just need to get these delivered." She held up the basket of pastries with a slightly shaky hand.

The lift started its decent to the floors below as Marinette became very aware of the close proximity of the two of them in this otherwise empty contraption. They were staring at the indicator showing the elevator's decent to the floors below.

"How have you been?" Slightly more composed, Marinette shook off her teenager tendencies from her twenty-year-old-self. Thanking Kwami for the air conditioning keeping her from melting from her increasing temperature in the current situation.

Ten...

"I've been good, a little sticky at the moment though!" Chuckling, he gestured to his groin where the icing mark was obvious on his other wise pristine clothing.

"So-sorry, caught-just-Ah!" Marinette hung her head in frustration, letting out a hollow chuckle at the absurdity of her inability to focus as soon as his crotch was referred to.

A blush dusted Marinette's cheeks and her heart fluttered as he leaned closer to her. "Still can't form a sentence around me huh...Mari?" He wiggled his eyebrows in a teasing manner, luckily this helped her to relax enough to shake off her embarrassment.

Nine...

"Whatever, your Chat is showing Kitty!" She rolled her eyes playfully at him, summoning her inner Ladybug. It was always easier to deal with the blonde when he let his Chat out of the bag.

"What are the chances of this lift suddenly, just, stopping?" Adrien's breath tickled her neck as he whispered into her ear. He knew the effect he had on her. He knew it was wrong to tease her this way, but there was something he found quite satisfying about it.

He also knew that Plagg, who had for some reason agreed to this stunt, would be just getting into position to sabotage the lifts mechanisms, along with the security camera within the elevator.

Clunk.

'Right on time! Thank you Plagg.'

Adrien chuckled to himself, as Marinette stood frozen to the spot.

'Shitshitshitshit oh no! No no no no nooooo. I can't deal, not now not until-'

"Looks like we're stuck for a while." Adrien noted with a smirk, as the lights went off and the dim emergency light was all that lit the small space. "Do you want to try the emergency button?"

"This has got Plagg written all over it Adrien!" Marinette scolded him, as she turned to poke him in the chest. "What happens if there's an Akuma, and we can't get out?"

"Cataclysm-"

"Then you'd need to recharge-"

"I've got supplies."

Adrien smirked at her annoyed pout. Crossing her arms, Marinette angled her face up and narrowed accusatory orbs at his not so innocent green ones. "You planned this, didn't you!"

He held his hands up in a defensive manner, "I have no idea what you are talking about Purrincess..." he purred unconvincingly. "While we're here though..."

Marinette audibly gulped on her suddenly dry throat, as he inched his way closer to her. "..."

Nothing. No words were able to form on her tongue as her senses became consumed by all that was Adrien. She was doomed.

Thoughts on their situation? I would love to hear them =). Poor Marinette, stuck in an elevator with an eager Adrien, I wonder what will happen!
