Spotted: Theo Nott singing Daphne Greengrass's praises in the locker room yet again. Does anyone want to start the bidding on what's going to happen next?

Theo rolled his eyes and tore the piece of parchment into a million tiny shreds. He hadn't been singing Daphne's praise. All he wanted to do was get in through Blaise's thick skull that she was an amazing witch, and he was damn lucky to have her on his arm. Sure, Daphne did some stupid things, and her temper often got the better of her, but she was a damn good person.

Shaking his head, he tossed the pieces of paper into the fire and let out a sigh. It may have made him feel better to burn the pieces of parchment, but he knew that wasn't going to solve the problems this blast would bring about. Astoria was probably fuming somewhere in the castle with resentment towards her sister and most likely him as well. Blaise hadn't said a word to him since their altercation in the locker room, and Theo didn't blame him. All he wanted to know was when something would finally crack the facade they were all living behind.

Theo would never admit it out loud, but his friendship with Daphne had blossomed into something more over the time they had spent together hiding out when it seemed no one else wanted to take their side. Daphne had been there for him when everything went down with Ginny, and he had been there for her as she chased after Blaise. Now looking back at everything they had been through, Theo could see where people may have misconstrued their relationship to lend Gossip Witch a hand in her blasts.

"No," Theo said, shaking his head as he pushed the thoughts of pursuing something more with Daphne out of his mind. "She's Blaise's girl, and I've got Tori. I'm happy."

"Nott," Blaise huffed, brushing past him by the fire as he mumbled under his breath. "What the hell are you doing in here?"

Theo furrowed his brow and looked his friend up and down. He took a deep breath and noted the familiar scent of Ogden's finest mixed with Daphne's perfume. He rolled his eyes and scrubbed his hands over his face. "Son of a bitch. Where'd you leave her, Blaise?"

"There you go again," Blaise grumbled, collapsing onto the couch. He rolled his eyes as he settled into the cushions and enjoyed the fact that Theo was pacing the floor behind him. A wicked grin pulled at the corners of his lips as he folded his hands behind his head. "Always jumping to her rescue. She's got you pussy-whipped."

"Where did you leave her, Blaise?" Theo hissed, grabbing the back of the couch as he glared down at his friend lying there like nothing was wrong; meanwhile, his girlfriend was out wandering around somewhere drunk and possibly in danger. "Just tell me where you fucking left her so I can bring her back to the castle."

"You can't keep saving her, Nott," Blaise mumbled, glancing up at him with a smile. "She's a big girl; she'll find her way back to your open arms soon enough. Then you two can be happy together."

Theo let out a heavy sigh and scrubbed his hand over his face once more. "Okay, so you two got into a fight because I was defending her for being upset about the rankings, and then what? Did you call her out for being friends with me and finally decided to take your destiny into your own hands and dump her? Good, that means she'll finally stop bitching about how shitty of a boyfriend you are."

"Shut the fuck up, Nott," Blaise growled, jumping up from the couch. He made his way around the piece of furniture quickly and squared up to Theo. "You don't get to talk about my relationship with Daphne. Especially since you're the one that came between us. We were happy until you stuck your nose where it didn't fucking belong."

"Are you talking about you and Daphne or you and Ginny?" Theo asked, crossing his arms over his chest as she met Blaise's eyes. They had been here before, so Theo knew exactly how this was going to play out. He'd let Blaise yell at him and take a couple of swings, none of which would land, and eventually, Blaise would tire himself out. Theo could then leave and go take care of Daphne, the true concern of his.

"Fuck you, Theo," Blaise spat, pushing Theo's shoulders and stumbling back a few steps. "You have destroyed every relationship I have had this year. Do you not want me to be happy? Or do you find sadistic pleasure in stealing my witch?"

Theo took a deep breath and looked Blaise over. He was drunker than normal, and all it would take is one square hit to the nose. That would put an end to this conversation, and it would make him feel a hell of a lot better. "No," Theo mumbled, shaking his head as he turned on his heel. "I'm not getting into this with you when you're sober, and I know Daphne's safe."

Theo turned on his heels and made his way to the door. He had a sneaking suspicion he knew where Daphne was hiding out. He needed to get to her soon if there was any chance of bringing her home before she was completely wasted. Drunken Blaise wasn't worth the energy right now, not when Daphne could have been in trouble.

A knight in shining armor and a drunken fool are at odds once more over the Slytherin Princess. I wonder if they realize what exactly either one of them is getting themselves into.
