Those were the designated names of the Main Singularities that caused the Human Order Incineration Incident; all of them resolved by The Organization for the Preservation of Human Order, Chaldea. This was possible thanks to the herculean effort of Master Ritsuka Fujimaru, Demi-Servant Mashu Kyrielight and countless of other Heroic Spirit and Chaldea Staff members – in the end Goetia was defeated and the Human Order restored…though at heavy price…the lost of the previous Acting Director, Romani Archaman.

Though the main crisis was averted remnants from the Temple of time remained; Demon Pillars scattered throughout time and space all seeking to end what Goetia started, and through their meddling new singularities appeared in the timeline – and as before Ritsuka Fujimaru was sent to deal with them. Now after essentially performing clean up duty throughout the timeline Chaldea faced a new threat…an official inspection by the UN and the Mage's Association, the whole ordeal reeked…as if Vultures had just found a fresh cadaver and were willing to tear each other to shreds for it.

In Fourteen days the inspection was supposed to take place and because of it a clear tension could be felt between the Staff of Chaldea, as for Ritsuka Fujimaru, the savior of Humanity, she could only feel one way…

"I'm boreeeeed…"

Thud

"Senpai, you shouldn't hit your head against the wall"

Thud

"…but Mash what else am I supposed to do, the whole place has been pretty lifeless since they announced the UN inspection…hell even the Servants aren't acting as lively as they normally are"

Thud

"You could always help EMIYA in the cafeteria, I'm sure he wouldn't mind"

Thud

"Both Raikou and Boudicca already do that; with those two they don't need another pair of extra hands"

Thud

"How about helping Da Vinci in her workshop, inventors like her never turn down a set of extra hands"

Thud

"And let her turn me into her Guinea Pig again? No thank you, one time was enough to last me a lifetime"

Thud

"…maybe you are right on that one…but that doesn't change the facts –you can't spend the whole day hitting your head against a wall, both figuratively and literally. Come Chaldea Staff is always thankful whenever we help ot"

"Fou Fou!"

"See Senpai, even Fou agrees"

THUD!

"Man this isn't fair! You both are tag-teaming me…ugh, I don't want to be sent to latrine duty this week AGAIN" groaned the Savior of Humanity "…but if my fluffy Kohai asks me then I guess I can't refuse"

Mash's face lightened up giving Ritsuka a thumps up.

"That's the spirit Senpai! Let's be on our way-"

"Attention! This is a Level Three Emergency, all staff members report to the Control Room! I repeat, this a Level Three Emergency all staff members report to the Control Room immediately!"

Da Vinci's distressed voice called out through the Comms, echoing through every hall, every wall and every room – every member of Chaldea heard it and, before their brains could process the information, their bodies instinctively acted up, dropping whatever they were previously doing and heading straight to the Control Room. After all a Level Three Emergency could only mean one thing: A time anomaly had been detected.

Both Ritsuka and Mashu were among the firsts to make their way to the Control Room, the small Fou trailing behind them. They were met with the two individuals that had temporarily assumed charge of Chaldea – a Caster- and a Ruler class Servant. The Caster appeared concerned, a deep frown adorned her beautiful face as she was lost deep in thought, while the Ruler servant appeared intrigued, as if he was staring at an unsolvable puzzle and the puzzle was staring him back mocking him in the process.

The Last Master of Humanity was the first to call them out.

"Da Vinci, Sherlock what is the situation…is it another pseudo-singularity?"

"Ritsuka and Mashu, good timing as expected of both of you" said the Detective "It appears to be so, though this one appears to be quite unique…unlike any we have ever encountered before. As of now we don't know what it exactly entails"

This shocked the last Master of Humanity, it wasn't everyday that Sherlock Holmes didn't know about something.

"But I thought Salem was supposed to be the last one, that there wasn't any Demon Gods left, is there?" asked Ritsuka.

"We are not certain yet if a Demon God is responsible for this one, but that isn't the worrying part" responded the prodigal Inventor, breaking her silence, only to then shift her attention to another staff member "Are the analysis complete"

Said Staff member could only nod; his eyes still wide open, glued to the monitor in front of him.

"Yes Ma'am! We reran the analysis four times and the results remain the same. A singularity has appeared in the year 2012 A.D; according to SHEBA the location of the singularity is Japan, East of Kyoto in a…unknown town named…Kuoh"

'Kuoh?' the question popped into Ritsuka's head 'I've never heard of such a town existing in Japan…'

Da Vinci closed her eyes placing a hand under her chin, only to let out a sigh. Then she spoke.

"So we are dealing with a Town that doesn't exist in human history suddenly appearing in Japan during 2012…what is the Human Foundation Value of the Singularity?"

"…it has been fluctuating for a while, but has it has finally set to D+" a female staff member responded.

"What about the surrounding area, what are the conditions of this mysterious Town?" this time It was Sherlock that asked the question.

"…SHEBA is having trouble forming a clear image of the town, like something is actively interfering with it…wait…t-these reading, it-it can't be!"

The Detective raised a brow in inquiry.

"What is it?"

"The Mana present in this town is ridiculous! I haven't seen such high reading of Magical Energy since Babylonia…no…these ones exceeds even those! They are not isolated to this specific area; rather the entire world seems to be permeated in pure Magical Energy! Acting Director, according to SHEBA, the Age of the Gods didn't end in this singularity, rather it continued onto the Modern Age… "

Shock – it was the only way to describe the reaction of everyone present, pure shock. The only one who appeared amused by the situation was the detective, who found joy in every mystery.

"…Fascinating"

The Real time analysis by TRISMEGISTUS was finished, the phenomenon present in the timeline had been described, its description appearing on the main monitor for everyone to see…and despite being correct, it only served to deepen the questions of everyone present – It simply read:

The Eternal Rating Game of Draconic Deus

"…what does that mean?" the words escaped Ritsuka's lips before she knew it.

The Ingenious inventor hummed, before answering the question.

"Draconic Deus derived from Latin meaning Dragon God…not a clue what 'Rating Game' is referring to" Da Vinci couldn't help but sigh "We are dealing with a Town that appeared out of nowhere, a world still influenced by the Age of the Gods and apparently a 'Dragon God'…well by the look of CHALDEAS the singularity is mainly tightly contained within Kuoh Town. The whole world must not be aware that it's still influenced by the Age of The Gods; Must be why the Human Foundation Value is so low…what do you think Sherlock"

The Detective couldn't help but to take a puff from his pipe before laying down his Hypothesis.

"All singularities until this point have been based on the concept of disrupting key moments of the Greater History of Man, [the history born from the winners]. As such Chaldea has always removed the abnormality and corrected the normal course of human history before the Quantum Time-Locks can be destroyed. This one doesn't seem to deal in that concept since 2012 doesn't have any events detrimental to the foundations of the Human Order…rather it deals with the concept of [the history born from the losers]; what if the Age of The Gods never ended and expanded into the modern age, as such we are not pointed towards the divergent moment where the Age of the Gods was supposed to end, but rather to its hypothetical continuation. Truly Fascinating – the most logical conclusion I can come up with is that: an Alternate Timeline, or Alternate World altogether, it's trying to slowly superimpose itself into our world's Human History starting with the Year 2012"

"That would explain why a Town that has no records of ever existing in our World would suddenly appear out of nowhere. This Singularity must then work like a 'Bridge' connecting both our World and this parallel Timeline – Ritsuka; it seems that humanity is need of your abilities as a master once again. This abnormality appears to be different to the previous Pseudo-singularities we have faced and though its threat is low…it's on Humanity's best interest to deal with it before it can develop into something greater. The question is; are you willing to fight once again for Humanity?"

Ritsuka could only grin at first, only for a large smile to later adorn her face soon after.

"How much time do I have before departing Acting Director?"

Da Vinci smiled, her previous serious demeanor replaced for her more usual playful one – winking at Fujimaru before addressing her.

"As expected of Fujimaru-kun. Prepare to Rayshift in 20 hours, if we are lucky this will be an in-and-out operation" proclaimed the Acting Director only to then slump herself against her chair, before letting out a clear and audible sigh "why can't singularities be about a wayward Whale in Hawaii or in some Sunny Beach?"

"Senpai!" Mashu called out to Ritsuka "If possible I wish to accompany you in this singularity…"

"Huh? Are you sure Mashu? Not that I don't believe in you! But…"

"I know. I'm still unable to summon Galahad, but I still want to help you in the field. Your memory is not good and you always forget the mission parameters, so you will need someone to provide stage assistance"

Ritsuka in response could only scratch the back of her head in response, a dumb expression plastered over her face.

"Hehehe, I got busted again – Well if my Kohai wants to help so badly I can't deny her. Besides this is by far the Singularity with the lowest threat, I'm sure we will solve it in no time. Also if you want, I have some Mystic Codes I could lend you, that way you could provide more active support – whaddya say?"

"Great idea Senpai"

"Hey Da Vinci is that okay with you?"

The Active Director took a long sip from her Coffee – wait, when did she get that? – Before responding to the Last Master of Humanity.

"Mashu already accompanied you to Salem; I don't see why she couldn't go with you this time"

The stations were set and the Servant Candidates for Rayshift were selected according to the little amount of information they had on the Singularity; a small and versatile team that could pass unnoticed in the Modern Age, yet carried enough power and knowledge to deal in the Age of the Gods and with Dragon-slaying capabilities if the need arises – consisting of Medea, Siegfried, Robin Hood and Hassan of the Hundred Faces.

Both Ritsuka and Mashu entered into their Spiritron Chassis and awaited further instructions; the redhead master giving a thumps up and a smile to her little Kohai before doing so, an action which prompted a blush from said girl. Da Vinci gave the signal and the operation began.

The process was simple. They had done it many times over; investigate the Singularity from within with the help of the rayshifted Servants, while both Da Vinci and Holmes provide support by investigating it from the outside, gathering information, and with their joint efforts find and resolve the crux of the time anomaly. Kuoh Town, Japan

A.D 2012 – The Holy-Demonic Chessboard of the Two Great Satans

Initial Human Foundation Value D+

The Eternal Rating Game of Draconic Deus

Ritsuka expected to be once again dropped from high altitude, as she had been many times before, so when the first thing she saw after Rayshifting was concrete, as her face directly impacted it with a loud THUD, to say she was surprised was an understatement. Yet that was overshadowed when she lifted her face and paid attention to her surroundings; the whole place looked like some kind of shopping district with people filling the street, yet no one was at the very least intrigued by the red haired girl that suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"Is this really the correct place? It doesn't look that out of the ordinary…in fact this place looks as normal as my hometown." said the Last Master of Humanity after getting up and scouring the plaza she rayshifted in – looking around she noticed something else "Man not one Servant got rayshifted alongside me, they must probably be scattered across the Town"

She tried to contact Chaldea with her watch but she was only met with static.

"Huh? Interference...the signal must not be strong enough, I should most likely find a Ley Line and then…" then realization hit her like train "Mashu!"

And before she knew it her legs carried her to an all out sprint, all in order to find her Kohai among the masses of people. Passing by a TV store in the process, uncaring of what surrounded. Had she been a little more attentive, she would have heard the broadcast on one of those displays.

"Good Day Kuoh, this is Channel 7 bringing you today's forecast for Supernatural Incursion. Today seems like a quiet day; most areas will be incursion-free for exception of Main Park with a High rate of Fallen Angels appearing, either way if you wish to remain safe we encourage you to stay indoors during the night. In other news today marks the inauguration of…"

Day 1 Dusk

Ritsuka traveled across town as fast and long as her legs could carry her, until both her thighs were met with a painful searing sensation and her clothes drenched in sweat. Before she knew it the Sun had set on the horizon, and the stars started illuminating the twilight sky. Finding herself tired and with no sign of Mashu in an unknown territory she couldn't help but to let out a loud sigh of exasperation, as she let herself fall down to a nearby bench. The Night grew quiet, as most of the people passing by suddenly scattered away from the streets, her panting and the sound from the fountain in front her soon became the only noise the permeated the ara.

Ritsuka tried to contact Chaldea once again, but…

"Tch. Still the Signal isn't strong enough…weird…Well not like moping in a Park is gonna solve my problems. If I'm here it means that the Rayshift worked…I mean otherwise I would still be on Chaldea's control room, so that means that Mashu, Siegfried, Medea, Robin and Asako must also be here…somewhere…man, and I thought this would be a simple mission"

Ritsuka got on her feet, doing some stretches before continuing her nightly search, when suddenly…an alarm rang inside her head and her body acted instinctively; rolling to the side before…

BOOOOM

Splinters and Debris flew through the air, some scrapping her left arm, as she rolled away from the explosion, and large dust cloud and crater replaced the spot where a bench once was.

"HuuUuMaaan…WWwOoorrrMm!"

An inhuman and distorted voice echoed, as the night's sky turned into an unnatural purple. Bloodlust – Ritsuka felt it, after so many battles against Demonic Beasts and Heroic Spirit she developed a keen sense for sensing it, now all of it was being directed exclusively at her. The Last Master of Humanity got into a standing position and faced her assailant…yet she was shocked at its appearance. There it was. Standing on top of the fountain was a humanoid being…appeared to be female, scantily clad with almost pitch black skin and bright red veins coursing along the surface – corruption, she had seen it first during Babylonia – it's face appeared to be void of emotion, like a machine whose only purpose was to kill…yet…what surprised Ritsuka the most were the two large Crow-like wings sprouting from its back, as black as the mane of long hair that adorned the monster's head.

It was Ritsuka's first time seeing a being like this; it wasn't either a demonic beast or a shadow servant that much she knew. Had she known better she would assume that the being before her was…

"…a fallen angel?"

A spear of purple light materialized on the Monster's hand and with a swift motion the projectile flew true. Ritsuka saw it coming – casting reinforcement on her legs and jumping out of the way immediately; only barely managing to dodge it with the heat of its light managing to reach her back. With no time to waste she responded to her assailant in kind; casting Gandr shot after shot aimed directly at the winged monster…yet for said being Ritsuka's counter attack appeared to barely be an inconvenience, swatting the curses aside with another light spear. The monster threw another of its weapons at her and as before Ritsuka barley managed to dodge it in the nick of time, yet as she tried to take another step…

Cough!

Blood spurted from her mouth and an incredible burning sensation overrode her senses. The smell of burning flesh filled her nostrils, her gaze then shifting from her enemy above to the source of her pain. Going through the left side of her abdomen a second Light Spear had pierced her body, its heat cremating her skin. Overridden by pain the Last Master of Humanity fell to her knees, the raven wings of her approaching assailant quickly obscuring her already darkening vision.

'…is this how I die…alone in an unknown place…after so many trials, so many battles, only to be killed by single monster…I only wished that Mashu was here...Mashu, I wished that I could hold your hand one last time…'

The Crow was hovering above her dying prey, another spear of purple light lifted high ready to fall down on its victim like a guillotine. A sickening smile appeared on the Monster's face, displaying the only glimpse of emotion it knew – cruelty.

"DdiieeeEEe Fffoorrr MmeeeEEe"

And then…another voice shouted in defiance…

"Dragon Shot!"

A beam of concentrated energy impacted the winged beast instantly destroying its left side – left wing, left leg, left arm and the light spear it was holding evaporated in a shower of crimson energy. The monster recoiled in pain crying with it distorted voice.

"AAAaaaAaAaAaAaAaAAaaaaAaAaAaAaAAaaaaa!"

[BOOST!]

Before it had time to process its impending doom, a Red Gauntlet gripped the monster's face with an iron grip and in a single mid-air motion…

"Slam Dunk!"

…the monster was thrown like a ragdoll straight to the ground, creating a crater with the impact and transforming the previous winged monster into a pile of dissolving black feathers. After reaching the ground Ritsuka's savior couldn't help but to admire his handiwork.

"Man, I hate those crows" he said while dusting his Red shirt and Black blazer.

As for the girl in question…what just happened was a blur to her, her vision was becoming dimmer by the second and though the light spear had disappeared with the death of its conjurer it left a gaping hole in her abdomen that was now running wild. With no second thoughts the Stranger rushed to her side, gently cradling her while pressing his red armored hand on her open wound.

"Easy there…damn…if only I had been a little faster. I'm sorry; I'm not very good with magic, don't know any healing spells either…Do you…do you have a name? I rather remember you by it."

Ritsuka tried to speak but only blood came out of her mouth, after seeing her struggle the stranger gently shushed her. Droplets of water fell on her cheeks…it wasn't raining that much she knew – no these were tears, not hers but from the stranger.

"I hate to see this happening…shit!" he muttered.

She didn't like seeing people crying, so immediately she tried lifting her hand. After all Ritsuka knew that head pats were the best solution for tears…yet her arm didn't reach him, falling on her chest in the process, as her body was losing its last remaining strength. The Stranger saw her hand and his eyes widened – filled with hope.

"Command Seals!?" he exclaimed "You must be a Master then! Then there is a way for me to save you!"

His left hand gently grasped her hand despite the scaled and jagged design of his Gauntlet. His eyes locked into hers – despite her worsening view she could distinguish the overall features of the Stranger; a pair of light brown orbs alongside a mop of short spiky hair of the same color, all adorning a youthful face.

Then he spoke and his words resonated with her Soul.

"Here is my oath. I, who has yet to awaken, will become the Ultimate Pawn that fights all your Wars. I will live for your sake and with Blazing Fire I shall drown your enemies in the Depths of Crimson Purgatory – if you accept my oath. I will ask you…are you my Master?"

Ritsuka didn't need to voice her answer; her soul did it for her, as the Command Seals shone a bright Crimson unlike another – 'Yes'

A relieved smile appeared on the Stranger's youthful face.

"Great! The Contract has been set – for the time being just call me Rider"

…and with that her eyelids began closing, enveloping the World into darkness.

The Two Devil Kings stood in their respective castles – the time had come – their eternal battle had to continue once again. Even if both were in the opposite sides of the board the setting was the same – Seven Chess pieces lay before their throne, each representing a different Type of Warrior.

With their Hands extended the summoning Ritual began, with Blue and Crimson Light respectively. Seven Heroic Sprits for Seven Chess Pieces to obey one King. Fourteen Servants would fight in a War between Two Devils, one Town to be their Chess Board. Their Conflict Endless, cycles of battle had been futile as no winner had come out on top of each other.

When the light died down the seven pieces were replaced by seven servants, each of them bending the knee before the Throne of their respective Satan.

Even if they were in their respective castles separated by space, opposites in belief, ideology and methodology – the words that left their mouth echoed the same message.

Day 1 End

A/N: this is an idea I had for a while and to my knowledge no one else had execute it before, well at least not in the way I plan to. This isn't a Ritsuka gets thrown in DxD and goes as a tag-along with Rias and Co. No, this is primarily about a Singularity in Kuoh, meaning things are not as they should be in DxD history and Chaldea has to solve it. Expect many things to be wildly different as they are in canon, as such this fic will have a completely isolated story that doesn't involve any already existing Arc of DxD.

For any readers of my other Story "Of Heroes and Devil" I will update it at the end of the month, I had to move to another State back in November and things weren't easy. That is the main reason why it had taken me so long to update.

Tell me what you think
