A/N: I edited the prices from the previous chapter since it was a mess and lost Harry quite a bit of money. Here is a summary of the new prices:
Prices of parts for one broomstick: 10 galleons (5 for handle, 4 for broom head and 1 for footrest). Total for fifteen brooms: 150 galleons.
Removing the three broomsticks that are given to Harry, Ron and Hermione, it leaves 12 broomsticks. To even costs, the twelve PMK-3 Ravenstars would need to sell for at least 12 galleons, 8 sickles and 15 knuts.
The selling Price of the PMK-3 Ravenstar is 20 galleons. 15 galleons go to the Potter Broom Company, 5 galleons go to Quidditch Quality Supplies.
Harry woke up in the middle of a foreign room. It took him a moment to remember where he was, and why he was there.
The previous day, Harry had come back home from Diagon Alley to see that his Uncle Vernon's sister Marge had arrived. When he had learned she was going to stay the whole week, and that Harry was forbidden of leaving the house during that time, Harry hadn't accepted it. He already had plans for the launch of the PMK-3 Ravenstar, plans he wasn't willing to postpone or cancel. He had also already begun planning his next project, and he wanted to use the remaining time of the summer to begin working on it. So, instead of staying in the same house as Marge Dursley for a week, Harry had decided to pack his things and move to Diagon Alley, renting a room at the Leaky Cauldron.
The first thing Harry did that morning, beside doing his morning routine and eating breakfast, was to begin planning his new project. For once, Harry's new project was not a broomstick. Rather, it was a magical assistant that would help Harry while he designed, invented and tested broomsticks. A tool that would allow Harry to know the state of all the variables of his broomsticks, be it the state enchantments, knowledge of the weather and surrounding terrain, magic levels on the brooms, and so on. His new project, once completed, would be able to monitor everything and pinpoint any errors or problems when working on his broomsticks. And it would display information on his glasses while also communicating with him verbally.
As far as he was aware, if he managed to complete his project, it would be the first magical A.I. in the world.
The idea of making a magical A.I. was something that had bugged his mind ever since he had first enchanted the Potter Mark I. The concept of artificial intelligence was something he was familiar with as he had read all about it in his youth. In one of the books Harry had read about airplanes, the author had mentioned that A.I.s could be the future of aeronautics, allowing the planes to completely pilot themselves from start to finish without the input of a pilot. When Harry had first read this, it had fascinated him. The concept that computers could one day do tasks by themselves without prompting by a user – or even be sentient – had amazed his brain. However, A.I.s had never been a large focus for him at the times he had been reading books in his school library, and the concept had been mostly ignored as he continued reading on different types of vehicles.
When he finished the Mark I and successfully tested it, Harry began to understand the potential runes and charms had. He had wondered what amazing things could be done – what concept that were decades or centuries away in the muggle world achievable with magic. The idea of an artificial intelligence had come back, but Harry had quickly discarded it and forgotten it, believing it to be too far-fetched.
It wasn't until Hermione's petrification a year later that Harry finally began thinking about building an A.I. by himself. Since he wasn't willing to work on the Potter Mark III without Hermione – leaving him to seek a new, different project to distract himself – and with Madam Hooch's assurance that he was a prodigy in runes, Harry had finally begun thinking about making an A.I. of his own.
So, for the few, rare times he wasn't in a studying frenzy with Ron or trying not to cry about Hermione's missing presence – every time he wanted to be alone, Harry would think about his idea for a magical A.I. and plan its features.
What Harry wanted for the artificial intelligence was something that would be able to communicate with him first and foremost.
Second, Harry wanted the A.I. to be able to connect to his magic so that it could interact with him and anything he cast or enchanted. Later, his goal would be to improve this to encompass all of magic, which would allow it to interact with anything around it, most specifically other sentient magical beings and even artifacts like wands or Hogwarts itself.
The third thing Harry wanted for the A.I. was that it could learn by itself without being restricted by Harry's own knowledge and understanding, which would allow it to notice mistakes and propose fixes while he was working on projects.
Fourth, Harry wanted the A.I. to be able to interact with his glasses to show data and information, which would allow him to get a better understanding of his environment. Later, Harry planned to improve this so that the A.I. could produce precise shapes of light around him, which would allow the A.I. to create three-dimensional images around him.
Finally, it was Harry's goal that this A.I. could be completely encompassed in something wearable – like a necklace – and be upgradable. Of course, this last point would be be one of the biggest challenges Harry would have to face, as he did not want to imagine how big the rune sequence of a working A.I. would be. Integrating it within a small necklace would be very complicated.
Harry hadn't done more than planning the features, preferring to wait until the Mark III was finished before beginning a new project. With the PMK-3 Ravenstar finished and nearly ready for sale, Harry was now able to begin his project of a magical artificial intelligence. Of course, before doing that, Harry would need to buy books on runes and enchantments. Previously, whenever Harry had bought books on runes, charms and enchantments, it had been with broomsticks in mind. To develop an A.I., Harry would need to learn about much more advanced runes and, for that, he had to go buy some books.
So, that day, Harry exited the Leaky Cauldron and crossed the Alley toward Flourish and Blotts. Along the way, Harry noticed two things he hadn't noticed previously. First, a poster of Harry holding the PMK-3 Ravenstar was now present at the entrance of Quidditch Quality Supplies. On top of the head of his cardboard counterpart was the name "RAVENSTAR" in big, silver letters. The image of a black raven could be seen alongside it.
The second thing Harry noticed was the presence of wanted posters around the alley. The posters appeared to be on all store fronts. Curious, Harry approached one of the posters at Madam Malkin's. In the middle of the poster was the picture of a very gaunt looking man with long, shabby dark hair and a beard. The man reminded Harry very much of a vampire. The man was wearing old prison robes and holding a plate with the words "Azkaban Prison" and a series of numbers. Over the picture were the words "HAVE YOU SEEN THIS WIZARD?" and, under it, an order to report any known information on the man to the Ministry of Magic.
From what Harry could tell, someone dangerous had just escaped Azkaban and was currently on the run. That certainly didn't help him feel safe. Wanting to know more about the man – and what had landed him in prison in the first place – Harry stopped a passer-by and asked "Sir, do you know who this man is?"
The man Harry stopped looked at the wanted poster for a second before answering. "That's Sirius Black. He's a very dangerous wizard, said to have been one of You-Know-Who's top supporters!"
"But what did he do? What crimes is he guilty of?"
"A few days after the Potter boy defeated You-Know-Who, Sirius Black fought and killed someone named Pettigrew – I believe – and twelve muggles, with a single hex!"
"Oh." said Harry quietly, his face becoming slightly pale.
"Yes, Oh." said the man. "Now, if you don't mind, I have important business to run today." he said sharply before walking away.
Harry looked back at the poster. The animated picture of Sirius Black showed him screaming like a mad-man, as if he wasn't completely there in the head. It was quite disturbing to watch, so Harry turned around and walked away.
A few minutes later, a pondering Harry entered Flourish and Blotts, his mind still on Sirius Black. Part of him couldn't help but wonder whether or not Black would come after him, as he was the Boy-Who-Lived. Would Sirius Black attempt to avenge his fallen master and kill him? The idea did not sit well with him. It did make him think about his A.I. project though, the reason why he was in this shop in the first place.
With a mass-murderer on the loose, one that could possibly come looking for him, Harry wanted to give himself some protection. Thankfully, a good thing about having an A.I. assistant with him was that the A.I. would be able to watch over him at all times, even when he was at most vulnerable in the middle of the night. If Harry managed to make his A.I. capable of interacting with surrounding magic, it could even tell him if Black happened to be anywhere close to him, warning him before the mass-murder would even have a chance of doing anything. It also gave him the idea of making the A.I. able to communicate with more people, like Ron, Hermione, and Professor Dumbledore. It would allow his A.I. to warn them in case Harry was in danger.
With these new ideas in mind, Harry would also have to change the priorities when building his A.I. so that the aspects that would allow it to protect him would be prioritized over others. With this new, firm goal in mind, Harry snapped out of his zone-out and looked around.
The last time Harry had visited the shop had been on his first day in the Alley that summer. That day, Harry had bought a book on Magical Egypt for Hermione. It had also been the day where he had nearly regretted taking Care of Magical Creatures as an elective, thanks to the existence of the Monster Book of Monster. Of course, it seemed as if the book was trying to taunt him as copies of it were currently locked in a cage near the counter, spitting and barking at each other and him. It truly did not give him confidence in the subject.
"Hello there!" said a dark skinned witch with magenta robes, snapping Harry out of his thoughts once again. "What can I do for you? Do you need help, dear? You have been standing in the entrance of the shop of quite some time." she said, sounding slightly concerned.
"Oh, no. Sorry, I was just thinking."
"That is fine. Thinking is always a good thing, as long as you don't overthink." she said with amusement. "Now, do you need help?"
"Where is the Runes section?" he asked.
"Back of the shop, right corner." she answered.
"Thank you." said Harry politely before walking through the store. Since the list of supplies from Hogwarts hadn't been sent yet, Harry did not notice many clients in the shop. In fact, since it was also the morning, it was quite deserted. Thankfully, it allowed Harry some private and quiet time to look through the Runes book section.
The section was rather bigger than he had first believed, making him wonder why he had never noticed this the previous times he had come. Harry looked at all of the books, taking note of all the titles and making a mental list along the way. Once he was done, he began picking some books.
He immediately discarded any books on household charms and how to automatize them with runes. He also discarded anything related to building and wards. Harry first took all five rune books used for the elective in Hogwarts. Then, he chose a few books on rare and advanced runes. He also took the opportunity to take a book or two about broomsticks and general methods of transportation, which he planned to read before beginning working on the Mark IV.
With all of these books in hands, Harry went to the counter and bought them. The witch with magenta robes had looked surprised at all the books he was buying but Harry ignored her. Once he was done, he walked back to his room in the Leaky Cauldron where he put his new books in his trunk.
Once he was done, Harry took a scroll of parchment and began writing the first version of hisyet unnamed A.I., consulting books along the way. Harry would work nearly non-stop on the A.I. project – from daylight to night-time – for the next few days. He only stopped the day of his birthday, as it was the official launch of the Potter Mark III, and Harry had (and wanted) to be present for it.
Harry was dreaming. The dream was quite pleasant. He dreamed he was lounging on a sandy beach, relaxing to the sound of the ocean. That, by itself, was nothing new. It had been a dream he often had in his childhood whenever his relatives would go to the beach and leave him behind. There was a difference this time, though. Usually, Harry was alone on the beach. This time, it was different.
To his right side, Harry could see a beach towel on the ground, which was new. He wondered for who it was. He did not have to wait long to find out. Behind him, Harry heard the sound of footsteps, prompting him to turn around. He nearly gaped.
The second person in the dream was Hermione. One of his best friends, the girl he recently realized he fancied, was walking toward him in a blue two-pieces swimwear.
His throat felt dry as he watched Hermione slowly lie down on the towel next to him, the shining sun reflecting on her pale skin. He was still gaping at her when he felt her grab his hand. Hermione looked at their joint hands before looking at his face and giving him a bright smile. "Do you enjoy our vacation?" she asked.
"Yes?" he answered, not sounding completely there.
Hermione giggled before she crawled toward him. "Do you want to enjoy it more?" she asked, making the hair on his arms rise. He and Hermione were now snuggled together, her face was very close to his'.
"Yes!" he exclaimed. Hermione smiled again before she licked her lips. She then approached and kissed him. As Hermione was kissing him, all he could think was 'Oh my...'
"...GOD!" he screamed, nearly bolting out of his bed. He blinked for a second before he remembered why it was so dark. He was in his rented room in the Leaky Cauldron, not on the beach with Hermione.
Harry took a deep breath and laid back down on the bed. "Just a dream... just a dream..." he muttered to himself, wishing he could calm his beating heart.
The dream had felt so real! Why had Harry dreamed of that, and why did the thought of Hermione kissed him make him feel like that? He knew he fancied her, but he didn't think it was to the point where he dreamed of seeing her in swimwear and kissing him. He wondered whether or not there was more to it than he was aware. Not like it mattered for the moment, since Hermione was still in France and they wouldn't see each other for another month.
Knowing he couldn't go back to sleep, Harry raised up and began doing his morning routine. Once he was done forty-five minutes later, he exited the Leaky Cauldron and went toward Quidditch Quality Supplies. The sun had just risen on the Alley, signifying that the shops would soon open. The owner of Quidditch Quality Supplies, Mr. Aurelius Widdershins, had asked Harry be present when the store opened that day. He had only asked for him to be present during the morning, something he had already planned on doing anyway.
It did not take long for Harry to arrive at the shop. The front door of the store was still closed, but lights could be seen inside. Having already been told what to do, Harry walked around the shop in a small alleyway until he reached the back of the store. There, a green wooden door was open, allowing him to enter in the backstore. He quickly found Mr. Widdershins, who was looking at the rack of Ravenstars, which was shared with the few Firebolts the shop had.
"Mr. Widdershins." said Harry politely.
"Mr. Potter!" exclaimed Mr. Widdershins. "Just in time! You are even more punctual than my employees!" he chuckled. "I was just about to grab two of your brooms to display in the shop."
"Where will they be displayed?" asked Harry.
"One will be at the storefront with the Firebolt and the Comet 275 – a broom that was released shortly after the Firebolt." said the store owner to Harry. "As for the second broom, it will be displayed near the counter with this" Mr. Widdershins grabbed something in the corner of the backstore. It looked like a large sheet rolled in a cylinder. Mr. Widdershins unrolled the thing, revealing a large poster of Harry flying on a PMK-3 Ravenstar, chasing after a golden snitch. In the poster, Harry's eyes were fixed sharply on the snitch, full of determination. "What do you think? Look good, doesn't it?"
"It's not bad." said Harry shyly.
"Don't sell yourself short!" exclaimed the older man. "You'll see, an animated poster like this featuring you flying one of your brooms will make the Ravenstars sell super fast!"
"I hope so." said Harry.
"They will." said Mr. Widdershins with determination. "Now, let's go put two of those in the store."
Mr. Widdershins rolled back the poster before giving it to Harry. He then grabbed two of the Ravenstars and led the young teenager out of the backstore and in the shop. In the shop, Harry was led to the counter where he found cardboard signs with information on it. Curious, he grabbed the first one and read it.
The PMK-3 Ravenstar
The PMK-3 Ravenstar, short for "Potter Mark III", is a flying broomstick enchanted entirely by the Boy-Who-Lived Harry Potter and his best friend Hermione Granger. The PMK-3 Ravenstar, with its unique silver paint, was designed to be used as a training tool for young children. Featuring plenty of safety charms and an easy to use handle handle, the PMK-3 Ravenstar is the perfect tool to teach your young children how to fly!
With its low speed and easy manoeuvrability and cheap price, he PMK-3 Ravenstar is also the perfect broomstick to use for a game of backyard Quidditch with friends. It is especially easy to use for those who are usually uncomfortable on a broomstick.
The PMK-3 Ravenstar is an evolution of the PMK-2 Robin, which has been enchanted specifically for flying classes at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, starting with the 1993-1994 school year.
The broomstick is capable of reaching 0-60 MPH in 11 seconds and can reach a top speed of 63 MPH.
"What do you think?" asked Mr. Widdershins after Harry finished reading it.
"It's good." he answered. "It give all the pertinent explanation and the reasons why this broom exists."
"Indeed. We want to make sure that people know that this broom is purposefully slow and why it was designed that way. Otherwise, people will complain that the broom is not as fast as the other brooms."
"Well, I think it does a good job." said Harry.
"Thank you. Now, do you mind grabbing the cards? I'll put the two brooms where they will be displayed. You'll just have to put on the cards next to it."
Mr. Widdershins first began by removing the Nimbus 2001 displayed in the storefront before replacing it with one of the Ravenstars. He also removed the card that was attached with the broom, and threw it away. Harry grabbed one of the cards and put it in the appropriate slot. The store owner then led Harry toward the corner of the counter touching an empty stretch of wall wall. A wired stand as tall as the counter had already been placed on the ground, waiting for a broom to be placed into it.
Mr. Widdershins placed the remaining Ravenstar in the stand before asking for the poster. Harry gave back the poster before placing the second card. At the same time, Mr. Widdershins attached the poster on the wall with a few well-placed sticking charms.
"Well, that's that. Time to open shop." said Mr. Widdershins. "Do you mind going to unlock the door, please?" he asked.
"Sure, I don't mind." answered Harry.
Mr. Widdershins gave him a grateful smile. "Here's the key." said the store owner, giving a silver key to him. "You can leave the door open, it's still cool outside." With the use of the key, Harry quickly unlocked the door before putting a nearby brick in front of it to stop it from closing by itself.
For the first two hours, the shop was relatively calm. A few people came and went, all of them looking at both the Firebolt and the Ravenstar. A few asked a few questions to Harry, which he answered honestly. Most of these questions revolved around whether or not he planned on doing better, faster brooms. Harry always answered in the affirmative.
Two hours after the shop was opened was when things started to become interesting. As Harry was polishing a Ravenstar – not that it needed it, it was for the image – he noticed a man with a quill in his pointy hat entering the shop. When his eyes met Harry's, the man immediately perked up and walked toward him.
"Mr. Potter?" he asked.
"Yes?"
"Hi, I'm Alannon Osbourne, reporter for Quidditch Times." the man said. "I was wondering if you were willing to do a small interview about the PMK-3 Ravenstar..."
"As long as it's about the Ravenstar and not my personal life, I don't mind." answered Harry.
"Of course." said the reporter.
"I can offer you my backstore, if you want." offered Mr. Widdershins, making Harry jump slightly. He hadn't even noticed that the older man was present.
"That would be much appreciated. Thank you." said the reporter.
Mr. Widdershins extended an arm toward the backstore. "After you." he said. The reporter nodded before he walked out of the store. Before Harry could follow him, Mr. Widdershins stopped him.
"Be careful with what you answer. Make sure to always give a precise and clear answer. Otherwise, its likely that your words will be twisted to give another interpretation. Reporters are like vultures, always looking out for the small details, even if they aren't important to the subject of their interviews. Just be careful, alright?" he whispered.
"Thank you." said Harry genuinely. Mr. Widdershins gave him a small smile before letting him go.
Harry quickly joined the reporter in the backstore. "Do you mind if I conjure us some chairs?" asked Osbourne. Harry shook his head. Two conjured chairs later, and after taking out a notebook and a quill, the reporter began his interview.
"I won't ask too many questions today, just a few." started the reporter. "First, I would like to know when you first got the idea of making a flying broomstick of your own, and when it was."
"Well, when I was young, I was very interested in learning how airplanes worked." said Harry. "At the time, my dream job was to build airplanes. When I discovered magic and the magical world, I found out about flying broomsticks. My passions for airplanes transferred to flying broomsticks, and my new dream was to make that instead."
"Really? That was when you were eleven, then?" asked Osbourne once he finished writing what Harry had said.
"Yes. On my eleventh birthday specifically."
"So, you had that dream since you turned eleven." confirmed the reporter. "How did you come to enchant your first broomstick, and when was it?" he asked.
"That would have been during my first year at Hogwarts." he answered. "In the school library, I found an old book that taught me how to enchant my first broom, which I did after stealing an old cleaning broom from one of the caretaker's cupboards." said Harry with a smile. "The broomstick was very simple, having only the very basic charms. It was not fast nor agile. It didn't even have safety charms. It was very bare-bone. I named it the Potter Mark I, and it was the first broom I ever enchanted. It was completed in May 1992."
"The 'PMK-3' at the beginning of the name 'PMK-3 Ravenstar' is short for 'Potter Mark III', is it not?" asked Osbourne.
"It is."
Osbourne wrote a few things in his notebook. "I assume there is a Mark II, then? What can you tell me about it?" he asked.
"The Mark II, which we later named the PMK-2 Robin, is based on the Mark I. The Robin took on the base of the Mark I and was given a ton of safety charms as well as improvements on its speed, agility and handling. Even though it was still slow, it was the first 'proper' broomstick my friend Hermione and I enchanted. The PMK-3 Ravenstar is a direct upgrade of the PMK-2 Robin, improving its overall performance everywhere.
"As for what happened to the Robin, the Potter Broom Company sold the rights to enchant this specific model of broomsticks to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Beginning this September, first-year students at Hogwarts will be able to learn how to fly with slow and safe brooms without fearing to loose control and hurting themselves."
"How did it come to that? How did the Robin end up replacing the old broomsticks at Hogwarts?"
"Well, it's all thanks to my friend Ron Weasley." answered Harry with a smile. "The idea to sell Robins to the school happened as a result of a talk between Ron, Hermione and I after we tested the final version of the Robin. Hermione does not really like flying and is not usually comfortable on a broomstick, which was one of the reasons why we focused so much on safety charms. After we all tested it, Hermione praised the broom she and I enchanted, saying it was much better than those we used in our flying lessons the previous year. It was Ron who, upon hearing Hermione's praise, got the idea of selling Robins to the school to replace the old dangerous broomsticks the school was using. It didn't take long before we agreed to present the idea to Deputy Headmistress Minerva McGonagall, who in turn presented the idea to Madam Rolanda Hooch. That happened before the winter holidays.
"Following the end of the holidays and the return of the students and the classes, Professor McGonagall made a blind test of the broom with a few first years. From what I was told, all the first years said that the Robin was much better than the brooms they had been using in flying lessons. With the confirmation that the brooms were indeed safe and good, the Potter Broom Company – which for now includes my two best friends and I – managed to sign a contract with Hogwarts to allow the institution to build and enchant their own PMK-2 Robin."
"Very interesting." said the reporter. "So, Hogwarts has the rights to enchant their own Robins?"
"Yes. At first, our plan was to build the brooms ourselves and then sell them to the school, but we quickly realized that we simply wouldn't have time to enchant all of them ourselves so, instead, we simply sold them the rights to enchant the broom themselves. I helped every few weekends to enchant a few, though."
"I see." said the reporter. "Now, about the PMK-3 Ravenstar, you mentioned that the Ravenstar was an improvement of the Robin. Can you clarify that?"
"Of course." said Harry, "The PMK-3 Ravenstar was based on what Hermione and I did with the Robin. It's a direct improvement. Since the focus of the Robin had been on the safety and handling, the goal of the Ravenstar was to take the Robin and improve its acceleration and top speed. We also made it slightly more manoeuvrable along the way."
"It's still slow, though, compared to other broomsticks in sale." said Osbourne.
"Of course it is. You have to remember that the Robin was based on the Mark I, which was rather slow. The focus of the Robin was to make a broom that was both very safe and easy to use. The goal of the Ravenstar might have been to increase its speed and acceleration, but its still based on the design of the Robin, which was made to be a safe broom to use. The PMK-3 Ravenstar might be slow relative to the other brooms, but its still very much a training broom, just like the Robin. We just increased its performances to make it more fun to fly for experienced flyers around."
The reporter nodded. "Last question. What can you tell me about the future plans of the Potter Broom Company?"
"Well, our next project is the Mark IV. With the Mark IV, we will attempt to make a broom that is competitive for regular Quidditch while still being safe to use. Of course, the broom won't achieve the speed of the flagships Nimbus brooms or the Firebolt, but my goal is to make it competitive and about on-par with the average Quidditch broom."
"And can you tell me the name of the Mark IV?" asked Osbourne with a small grin.
"I could." Harry grinned back. "All of the names of our brooms will be based on an avian theme. I already have a few naming ideas in the back of my head, and I favour one over the others, but I've yet to decide if we will use that name, especially since I want the input of my friends first."
"Well, that's all for today." said the reporter. Both he and Harry raised on their feet and, with the wave of a wand, Osbourne vanished the conjured chairs. "Thank you for answering my questions, Mr. Potter."
Harry nodded before leading the reporter back in the store and toward the exit. In the store, Harry was surprised to see how many more people there were now.
"Hopefully, this interview will be featured in the next edition of Quidditch Times, which releases every seventh of each month." spoke Osbourne.
"Mind to send me a copy, then?" asked Harry with a smile.
"I'll see what I can do." said the reporter with a smile. He then extended a hand toward Harry. Harry shook it. "Well, until next time, Mr. Potter." said the reporter before leaving the store.
"So, how was the interview?" asked Mr. Widdershins once Harry had rejoined him.
"It was fine." answered Harry. "He didn't ask anything inappropriate or personal and stuck to the subject of the interview. He was polite the whole way."
"Good." said Mr. Widdershins. "He sounds like one of the good ones. I'll have to remember his name in the future. I always had a problem with reporters in the past, all trying to fish out something out of nothing just to sell a story. You have been someone reporters wanted to interview for years. If that man had no problems sticking to the subject instead of attempting to learn about your private life, then that's someone who is professional. That's someone I want to work with in the future."
"When you become the manager of your own Quidditch team, you mean?" asked Harry cheekily.
"Hopefully." said Mr. Widdershins with a grin.
A/N: My plans for Harry's AI is to become its own version of J.A.R.V.I.S. from the Iron Man movies. This fanfiction already had some small inspirations from Iron Man and I felt like the inclusion of a J.A.R.V.I.S.-like character could make the process of reading and writing about Harry making broomsticks more interesting and entertaining.
The AI, named M.A.R.I.O.N. (Magically Advanced and Really Intelligent Operating Network) won't be that big of a part of the story, but it will be there in the future (mostly when Harry works on projects).
