AN: This is super old and I found it on my computer so I figured I'd post. Enjoyyy
Beca sat at her desk, swiveling her chair from side to side. It was 3PM and the Bella house was unusually quiet. Although that would seem better for focusing, Beca was used to all the noise. She repeatedly tapped the side of her laptop as she tried to come up with new ideas for the set. Her eyes glazed over the screen for a couple minutes before a notification on her phone went off. She turned her attention to the phone. It was a text from Chloe: "wya?"
The brunette sent a quick reply of "Bella house" before closing her laptop and going to lay down on her bed. She opened Instagram and scrolled through her feed. Pictures of tattoos had been coming up all week and it was making her itch to get a new one worse and worse each time. About a half hour passed before she looked away from her phone again, but only because she felt movement on the bed. Beca put her phone down and smiled. Chloe had crawled onto her bed and laid her head on the girl's thigh.
"Hey gorgeous, how was work?" the brunette asked.
"Boring," she groaned. "I'm so tired of doing the same thing every day."
An idea sparked in Beca's head, "Do you want to go out?"
"Where?"
"We can go get something to eat if you're hungry and then there's somewhere I need to stop by."
"Only if we go to Chick-fil-a," Chloe said, sitting up.
"Fine by me. Let's go."
Chloe changed her clothes and fixed her hair, following Beca out of the house and into her car. They went through the Chick-fil-a drive-thru and Chloe ate happily in the passenger seat before her curiosity eventually took over.
"Where are we going, again?"
"I never said," Beca replied, trying to hide a smirk.
"So, uh? Are you gonna tell me?" asked Chloe.
"You'll see when we get there."
"I thought you said you just needed to do something, why is it a surprise?"
"In case you decide you need to do something too."
Chloe furrowed her brows at the girl driving. What does that even mean, she thought. She'd known from many other times that Beca liked to be mysterious and at first it turned her on but she was definitely too curious of a person to have this kept up so often. Beca smiled to herself. She knew Chloe had the ladybug tattoo on her wrist but trying to imagine her getting anything else was tough. Chloe was such a baby when it came to needles, but she was still going to try and convince the redhead to get another tattoo. Beca pulled up in front of the tattoo shop and Chloe looked out the window at the shop and then back at Beca.
"You're getting another tattoo or another piercing?"
"Why can't I do both?" Beca winked, getting out of the car.
Chloe raised an eyebrow and followed her out of the car, "I mean sure, you're just lucky you don't have Aubrey pushing you around anymore."
The brunette chuckled and held the door open for Chloe, "Dude, that was so annoying, but uhm, I know you came because I asked you to but you should get another tattoo."
"What?"
"Yeah, you said you're tired of the same thing everyday. Why not shake it up with a new tat?"
"That's not what I meant, Beca."
Beca laughed and approached the man at the front desk to ask if there was an artist available for a walk-in. He said yes and handed Beca a design book off the shelf.
As she slowly turned the pages, she looked up at the redhead, "What should I get, Chlo?"
"What, you don't know what you want?"
"Not really, pick for me. I'll get whatever you pick."
"Beca, you're crazy. I don't want that responsibility on me if you hate it."
The brunette shook her head and handed Chloe the book, "Come on, seriously, I'll get whatever you pick for me."
Chloe took the book and started flipping through the pages. Beca couldn't be serious. Why would she get a random tattoo? She glanced up from the book and saw Beca talking to one of the artists. The redhead suddenly had an idea. She walked up to Beca and grabbed her arm to get her attention.
"I thought of something, but it's not from the book or anything," she smiled.
"Okay, what is it?"
"Get the 'B' from the Bellas logo."
"Oh shit, that's actually a good idea. You have to get it too then, co-captain. I'll pay for it if you do."
"Beca, you're crazy."
"It was your idea! Dude, please," Beca pleaded. "I can't get it by myself, that would be dumb. I'll look full of myself."
Chloe took a moment to think it over and sighed, "Fine, but I'm not getting it big."
"Yes! I love you."
"Where should I put it?"
Beca shrugged, "I think I'm gonna put mine like above my elbow."
"Oh, that's cute. Can I copy you?"
"Aw, you wanna match?" Beca winked.
The redhead blushed, "You're annoying. Let's just do this."
Chloe stood in the mirror, looking at the blue, cursive "B" on the back of her arm. It was honestly really pretty and she was glad Beca convinced her to do it. The Bellas were a part of her, now it was literally on her skin forever. She looked over to Beca standing at the counter, looking at some different helix barbell the woman laid out for her. She had finished before Chloe was already getting her wallet out.
"Ready to wrap it up?" the tattoo artist asked.
"Yeah, thank you. It came out beautiful."
"I'm glad you like it!" he said.
Chloe waited for him to wrap her arm and give her the speech about how to take care of it. When he was done, she thanked him again and tipped him before going up to Beca.
"You ready?" the redhead asked smiling.
"Yeah, let me just tip your artist before we go."
"I already did."
"What? I told you I'd pay!"
"Thank you. I know, at least let me tip him," Chloe laughed.
Beca shook her head, "You're the worst... But, I do have to admit, this tattoo looks really good. I'm glad you had this idea or else I probably would've gotten a corny rose or something."
"And now since we're matching, every time you look at it, you'll think of me," Chloe smirked.
Beca laughed, "That's true. C'mon, let's go home."
She grabbed Chloe's hand and walked her out of the tattoo shop, smiling. Definitely her new favorite tattoo.
