Willa's Point of View

It was the middle of herbology, which we had without any of the other houses. We had started growing mandrakes at the start of the year as per the curiculum. Of course, now they were going to be used to help mark who actually was petrified. Although some people still question if it was us or not, another attack hasn't happened yet, and because the basilisk that was in the chamber of secrets is dead. There was no way we could have done it. We may have been magically powerful, but we were still second years.

Right now, we were changing the pots the mandrakes grew in yet again. It was good that the earmuffs were specifically magically enchanted, because otherwise it would have been extremely unsafe for me and will as we would have been able to hear the crying. I half wondered if I should ask for the spell for the earmuffs, that way me and will could have a better idea what silence sounds like.

So… do you want to go on a date with your dear lovebird- Will! It's not my fault that you're ogling him all the time. Just wait until you get your own mate, then I'll be able to say the same things to you. Yeah, if I get a mate, I won't have the same reactions as you. How do you know? I didn't think he had any of Alice's gift, so I'm wondering if this was another something he managed to keep from me.

Because I'm not you, didn't Marcus tell you that every mate bond is different? Well, he had me there. Putting the last mandrake I was supposed to pot, in the soil this class period, I ended up just waiting. Will had been waiting longer than me because he had more experience with Hagrid's lessons. I joined in sometimes; but I definitely haven't done it as much as will had. Which is probably how we finished faster than literally every one of our classmates.

Will seriously had a chance about being a potions master, or a magizoloist. After everyone was finished with there mandrakes, we were able to take off our earmuffs, "Will, Lily, ten points to Slytherin for potting your mandrakes so quickly. The class is over."

Gathering our materials and walking out the door, it wasn't long until we saw headmistress McGonagall, she looked slightly worried, "William, willa, I need you to come with me." She looked so worried, and that worried me as I had no idea what happened. What if something happened to Cristian? I wouldn't know what I would do.

Calm down, there's no use worrying until we know what's going on. Besides, if something happened to him, you would have felt it, and McGonagall wouldn't have asked for us. She would have gone for ginny and Nevil, Mary as well probably. If something did happen to him, then he's well enough to ask for the both of us.

That helped slightly. Still, the idea that something happened at all and now he was asking for us, was still at the forefront of my mind, and still a possibility. McGonagall led us to the hospital wing, another thing for my anxiety.

Walking us over to a closed off bed by curtains, she opened them. It was Ashla behind them, sitting on a bed, her leg was swelling extremely badly, and there was a puncture wound. I guessed there had been a silencing charm over the curtains because I could only now hear both her heartbeat and her moans of pain.

"Did you do this to Ashla?" What? "No, of course not!" It looked like some of her worry dissipated, but she still looked worried, "The puncture wound on her leg has snake venom in it, and as far as I'm concerned the only students with a snake as a pet, or the ability to control them would be the both of you."

No wonder she looked concerned, snow's venom was lethal, at least as she told me, and if snowy bit Ashla, there wouldn't be much of a way to prove that it wasn't us. Only veritasirum could really do that, and with Ashla's father's sway in the ministry, it would be unlikely we got that opportunity.

"Headmistress, I do admit that we aren't good friends, however, that doesn't mean we would set snowy on her." She looked like she wanted to ask why we called her snowy but then though better of it. Sighing she said, "I believe you, however I would suggest you send snowy back to you home in Volterra until this is resolved."

I hope Dante won't try and eat snowy, "Understood headmistress." She made a motion for us to leave, and she closed the curtains behind us, "Do you want to tell snowy or should I?" I asked. I knew won't want to say goodbye to his pet, but she said that he had to do it, it wasn't a request.

"I'll do it. You can be there if you want though." Saying goodbye? Yes, I would love to be there, "Okay, McGonagall probably wants us to send her away soon, so we'll send her away tonight. We can tell her now actually as we have a free period and after that the school day is over."

We decided getting Cristian to say bye if he wanted would be great; and after the ordeal I just had of thinking he might have been in a tragic accident for thirty minutes, I deserved to have him close, "Hey Cristian." I said after a little while of waiting. He had been in transfiguration and just exited the classroom, "Hey, what's up? You guys look sad, especially this one." He said pointing to will, "We have to say goodbye to snowy; do you want to come?" I knew Cristian tiptoed around snowy for a while, but I think they had become better friends over the time they knew each other.
