Willa's Point of View
Touching down at the airport, we had a one hour ride in a car to Volterra castle, "Lily! Will! Come here!" It was mom in that excited demeanor she always had. Snowy was right next to her. Mom gave us a nice long bear hug, and then procced to both welcome back Cristian and introduce herself to Mary.
"I'm Rebecca, lily and will's mom, it's wonderful to meet you." She shook Mary's hand Enthusiastically and said, "Follow me." While starting to walk into the castle. Will was obviously catching up with snowy, "So, how do you feel about Volterra so far?" She replied with a hiss, "Your mom and your family's okay, but she asked me to spend time with Bella while she's grounded. Bella's a bit of a snakeist."
Just in case we didn't get what she meant by, 'snakeist'. She explained right afterwards, "Like being racist to snakes. She tried to strangle me the first time we met." Well, that explained the hostility, "And afterwards she didn't even apologize! I would tell your mom about Bella's obvious snakiest views, but she seems to be ready to excuse anything Bella does."
It made sense that mom would be ready to defend family, but I think if Bella hurt snowy again then she would definitely put a stop to it, "Sorry about that, mom does tend to defend Bella. The lot of us think it has something to do with unresolved PTSD. She wants to keep any family she has close." Usually, this would mean things like defending Bella and trying to get fights resolved quickly,
"-It would be better to meet everyone in the throne room, so that's where were going now." Mom had still been talking with Mary this whole time, and to be honest it was times like this that I was glad mom didn't have vampire hearing. She would have probably defended Bella again, and denied the fact she had PTSD while secretly trying to figure out how to solve her PTSD.
"This is pretty much everyone except jane and Felix. They were sent on a mission two days ago as I'm sure Demetri and alec already told you." Demetri had given us the lay down and I told will when he woke up.
I was definitely looking forward to the story's Felix would tell when he got home. He would explain what happened with his own little twists. Thankfully jane was there to make sure he didn't get to off tangent, enough to start talking about something like extra terrestrials being a part of the mission.
The double doors opened to see literally everyone in the coven except for Felix and jane. Leah and Charlie were there with chuck too. Charlie looking like he didn't want to talk to anyone while still being polite, and Leah still glaring at some of the vampires. We had become fast friends after we bonded over quidditch and fighting, a bit violent however no one died so it was okay.
"Hi I'm Mary." She immediately tried to get to know people, and no one tried to kiss her hand, so she was good. I took some -o from the dispenser and almost bumped into roseilie. She was still in Volterra with Emmett, unlike Edward, who Charlie wanted out for being a bad influence, and Edward being the old school vampire he was, agreed and left.
Bella was still in her room, so if Mary ever wanted to meet her, she would have to go to her room. Something I doubted, but there was always still a chance. With her she might actually give her a stern talking to. Not something others haven't tried, but as a human it would take twice as much nerve.
Two days later it was Christmas eve and also charades day, so that's how we ended up sitting in the charades room with hot chocolate watching mom totally dominate the competition. Sadly, Felix was scheduled to return only on Christmas, but I guessed that there would be a second one tomorrow, even though it wasn't planned as mom wanted competition. Though it seemed like Emmett was offering some.
"Icicle" I honestly wondered how we hadn't run out of charades cards, playing it twice a week for years. Literarily twelve years of charades and we haven't even made a dent in all the cards that exist. We have millions in a separate room that no one except the moderator is allowed to enter.
"Rebecca has earned a point, the tally is fifty one to twenty three." Aunty Diana added a tally to the scoreboard. She then pantomimed an almost square shape with her hands and shivered, "Cold cube?" Leah suggested in passing, "Ice?" Emmett asked.
"The tally is now fifty one to twenty four." Didyame really should have become an actress, if she wasn't a vampire, or a noble when human. Honestly, it might be where me and will get our drama skills from. She made a motion towards holding something, then making a cylindrical shape and stirring it up before drinking it.
Looking down at my warm beverage I said, "Hot coca?" She nodded, "You have two points lily." I had guessed a snowmobile last time I got a point. It was tradition to use cards with some sentiment of winter during Christmas. "Tree?" Mom said after about ten seconds of aunty Diana just standing there, "I think you already know the score so I'm not going to repeat it." And then she continued on the next card, "Christmas lights?" Mom said, "Aright that's tallied." Diana muted to herself and continued on.
"Do you want to go to bed?" Cristian asked. It had been a long day. With the Christmas hat finding competition, this time, we hanged our hats in a better spot, "Sure." I said and quickly asked will and Mary if they wanted to join us. They said, "No." And, "Nope." Respectively. With that, we got up and walked through a few hallways. We stopped talking at a doorframe, before we left I looked up and saw some mistletoe.
