"Liv, are you okay?"

It had been a long work day for everyone in the office. Huck always waited for Olivia. She was usually slipping into her coat and grabbing her purse at 6:00. Today, she was sitting at her desk covering her face with her hands. Huck waited for her to answer him. She sobbed and shook her head no.

"I think I need to go to the hospital. My back is really hurting."

"Do you need an ambulance?"

"No, you can drive me to the hospital."

"Okay."

"I think I'm overwhelmed."

"Yeah, we all know that."

One week ago, Olivia announced that she was the President's mistress. There were cameras everywhere. Fitz called everyday, and his calls were always ignored. She regretted letting the world know about their affair. They were losing clients, and she would have to pay her staff with money from her savings account.

Huck didn't ask anymore questions on the way to the hospital. Olivia cried softly. It was like really bad cramps. She had never had such bad pms. It was too early for her cycle. It had been really light the whole year. She assumed the changes were early signs of menopause. The emergency room was mostly empty. She let Huck know that she would take a taxi home. Olivia changed into a gown and the doctor sat down on his stool. She could see panic in his eyes. He pushed the stool back and tried to explain why Olivia was having severe pain in her stomach and back.

"Ms. Pope. You're in labor."

"What?"

"You're dilating."

"No, I'm not pregnant. It has to be something else."

The doctor didn't want to argue. He left to get his team. Olivia called him an idiot under her breath and removed her legs from the stirrups. She tried to stand and a sharp cramp made her bend over. She took a few steps and water gushed down her legs. When she looked up, the doctor was back with a few nurses and a wheel chair.

"You are going to be okay Ms. Pope."

"I'm not okay! How am I pregnant!"

The pains were closer together and Olivia continued to ask questions. They didn't have any answers for her. Instead, they wheeled her to a delivery suite. A few short minutes later, a nurse gave instructions to push. Olivia was delirious from the pains until she heard a cry.

"Congratulations. It's a girl."

The doctor handed the baby to a nurse and she was quickly taken away in an incubator. Olivia waited for an explanation. She cried unable to control her emotions any longer.

"You were carrying the baby towards your back. She's going to be in the hospital a few days. We have to run tests. When was your last period?"

"Two weeks ago."

"You are going to be okay Ms. Pope."

"A baby came out of me! Are you crazy?! I'm not okay!"

"You can take her home soon."

"No, stitch me up and call me a taxi. I'm going home right now."

"Do you need to speak with a psychologist? She can help you process your emotions."

"No. You can leave."

Olivia couldn't hold back her tears. This was going to be in the tabloids and Fitz would be calling very soon.
