29. Announcement

Hello!

It's been a good while since I've been here on fanfiction. 3 years, really. And through those three years I'vee seen people following and liking this story even if I hadn't updated it in ages. Literally.

Thanks to you all you have revived my motivation for writing this story. But as I have grown as a person and a writer I can now see many, many faults with this story. Because of this I will be rewriting it, giving it a new pace and such. In some cases it will be similar to what I've posted here but in other cases not so much. I will be giving you updates for Mio's stats in the story both for you and myself so that I can properly calculate and show Mio's growth this time. I will not write a chapter for each year of her life but rather focus on important occurrences than trying to come up with important occurrences for each year. I will be writing and updating it when I feel like it, so that I won't have tons of chapters lying in wait to be published.

Because while I do have many chapters I could post, they would need to be revisited and adjusted first to be posted in any way, shape or form. In their current state, I'm not proud of them. And that's what ultimately led to this story's downfall. I was so focused on writing that I wrote many chapters so I could post them with a week or so in-between for a few months. But when I went to post them, I always read through the chapter I had written first and realised mistakes I hadn't seen when I first wrote it.

Because of this, I'll be posting in the rewritten version when I finish a chapter. That way, I won't have the time to wonder too much over what's right and wrong and such. I will also be focusing on posting this story on Ao3 rather than here on . I feel that it is a more mature audience there, the type of audience that my writing is meant for. So if you'd like to follow along Mio Masago's story in the new rewritten story on Ao3, you are always free to do so. I go by the same username there as I do here, Meatbunattack, and I will be naming it "System: Defiance" there to give another meaning to the story as a whole. "Heat of a heart" was more directed towards Mio's emotions rather than anything else, and that won't be as much of a focus in this rewritten version of the story.

Thank you all for following Mio and her growth here on fanfiction. But now I will move my focus to Ao3
