Morning Cuddles

It was ridiculous how well they fitted.

With her heels on, she was as tall as him – which was always good when they fought – but without them…

She often walked in slippers around their house, particularly in the mornings and he just loved it because he would wake up, go downstairs and usually find her in the kitchen where he would wrap his arms around her waist. She was just the perfect height to tuck her head under his chin, so tiny he always wondered how she could otherwise be such a hurricane. He would press a kiss on the top of her head and, when she angled her head up, another one on her lips and they would go about their breakfast.

That was how their mornings usually went.

And he wouldn't change them for the world.

There was something to be said about daily cuddles before coffee.
