Five: Saki Kawasaki II

It was love at first sight, but it was more than that. He really thought she was the one, the one he was destined to be with, the one he would end up marrying in the end and back then he was nothing but a nineteen year old who knew nothing about how the world worked. He thought he knew about himself, he thought he knew about her, but it wasn't like that. There's more to life and relationship than having a couple of things in common. There's more to sustaining a relationship than having similar personalities. But back then he thought it was simple. Both of them were loners, both of them were misunderstood, both of them liked each other and their first time together was simply the best sex he had ever had.

Hachiman was glad he waited because it was worth it.

They were both dressed in formal attire because it was an official university event. She wore a black dress. He wore a black suit. For the entire course of the evening they had eyed each other from the other side of the hall. For some reason they weren't communicating through words. The look in their eyes spoke volumes. He wanted to ravish her, tear down her dress and take her, consume her, be whole, together as one, because it had been entirely too long, too unbearably long since he knew proper reason when it came to her.

Meanwhile Saki felt something similar. She had tortured him for weeks, playing with fire, teasing his fantasies and letting him know what awaited him at the end, giving him a taste, a touch, but never enough to sate his hunger. It had driven her mad, it had frustrated her to no end, but she wanted to know if he was serious, she wanted to know where she stood with him, whether this was just a fuck or something else and tonight they would find out.

He sees her approaching, he hears her whisper and he doesn't think twice before leaving. To hell with the event, he thinks. It is the last sane thought he has because now he is letting his instincts run the show. He has never been a rule breaker, but he didn't really care much about them either. Between spending the evening at a mundane university event or spending time with Saki, he doesn't even have to think. It's no choice at all. And with what she whispered in his ear, he gulped, this was really happening.

Tonight was the night.

The look in his eyes set her body ablaze in a heat which she had never known before. She knew lust, but there was something more in his eyes and she welcomed it into her humble abode. He reached out and touched her as he had been planning to do all night and she withered, whatever notion holding her together as a human being, a woman who loved to be desired and loved, dissipating in vapours, turning into smoke in the darkness of the room, invisible.

Yes, the time has come. He had waited for her and it was now time to reward him. But there was no need to hurry. They had left the world behind. This was a safe space meant for the two of them. No one was here except the two rapid beating hearts which belonged to him and her and their pace increased when she reached out and tugged his tie, loosening it with a smirk. She wondered whether he had worn it like this, crooked like the man he was on purpose. It had been bothering her all evening, she wanted to reach out, grab him, kiss him senseless and then straighten his tie. But now she wasn't bothered by it. He looked good. He looked great in fact and holding the tie as a leash she ushered him into her room. He followed her obediently but she can sense the storm which is trapped inside his eyes. It threatens to break loose and she can't wait for it to happen. Whether the seducer can be seduced, it is time to find out. They both feel it, it's palpable, the tension, the excitement. She licks her lips and he eyes her hungrily. The wait is unbearable, it is downright painful. There has to be a release, there has to be more and soon it will be.

Looking at his handsome face, she doesn't understand how he thought she wouldn't be charmed with his looks. He is no prince, he is no knight, but love isn't a fairy tale and it isn't even a game of chess. Love is something else, which can't be explained, but felt. However what they felt back then was lust and it wasn't a bad thing to feel for two healthy young adults who now had only one thing running across their minds. He takes off his tie and throws it somewhere on the floor. She reaches out and touches him, feels his muscles move. He doesn't have a muscular build, he isn't stocky, he isn't a gym nut, but he is lean and fit and it works for her all the same. And by now she knows what he sees when he looks at her. She is more than a beautiful woman with envious curves and gorgeous legs. But seeing the want in his eyes, the thirst, the hunger, she finds herself thankful of her good looks and if that makes her sound vain, so be it.

Hachiman feels intoxicated by her beauty and thinks he would never need a drink again. She is enough, no more than enough and he is thankful that she made him wait, made him settle things with Tomoko before finally moving onto her. But no he won't be spending another second thinking about another woman while he is here with her. It would be a waste of time. He had waited. He had waited. He had waited. And though he wasn't a sexual beast, a thing which only lusted and thought about fornication, he was still a mortal man and he was enamored by her beauty. He still didn't know how he found himself in this situation, with this wonderful woman, but he wasn't going to question fate. He didn't believe in fate, but she was a woman who made him believe in such things and he found himself thankful. Reaching out, he touched her bare arms and felt the heat, the gooseflesh which were now even more pronounced because of his actions and it brought a satisfied smirk to his face. He hadn't done anything yet and she was reacting to him even now. Fresh excitement strummed his heart and the wait became more unbearable.

Saki Kawasaki doesn't care about acting womanly. She wears black lace. She wears scrunchies. But apart from that she doesn't dress to impress. But tonight, she knew what was about to happen and though the little black dress flouted many university regulations, she still wore it just for him and now she was rewarded with his reaction. He hadn't been able to take his eyes off her throughout the evening and even now in the confines of her room, he was looking at her, staring at her like she held the answers to the known universe.

She didn't. She only knew one thing. He loved her and she loved him and when the door was closed and the room was enveloped in darkness once more, she and him were going to renew each other's faith on the childish notion of a fairy tale romance. But what they were about to do didn't feature in any fairy tale they had ever read. After all she wasn't a maiden trapped in a tower and he was no knight. They were just two young adults who knew what they wanted tonight.
