I thought of this idea when I was reading the fanfic by Elemantalelf called 'Abused then loved'
!!!TW!!! This fanfic might be mentioning suicide, self harm, abuse and rape!!!! So if you don't like that don't read the fic! (Note: Dahlia is the unwanted twin of Draco and unwanted child of Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy and hated by half the school for nothing, she's also been berated for smart and good at potions) also Adrien gray is a pureblood and is a distant relative of the weasley's
*Hogwarts 1995*
"Dahlia!" An angry voice screamed from behind her
Dahlia froze before breaking into a run and running until she arrived at the ROR
"Please help me hide" Dahlia whispered as she paced back and forth thinking of someplace to hide
The ROR provided a room with a lot of different doors and places to hide, as dahlia was opening the door when she heard his screams again
"Dahlia! Stop or it'll be worse!" He screamed
Dahlia hastily opened the door and hid behind the green door
"Dahlia your making your punishment worse!" He scream from the shadow by the door as he walked out you can see it was Adrien Gray looking furious
"Come on D, it won't be bad. It'll be over quickly! Come out bitch!" Adrien snapped after she wouldn't answer
Dahlia whimpered and started shaking as she had a flashback
(Note: you can skip the flashback if you want, it won't be graphic but I wanted to put the warning just in case)
*Dahlia's-flashback*
"Please... stop please!" Dahlia sobbed/begged before she was slapped in the face again
"Stop squirming, your making it harder!" Adrien snapped at her
"Stop!" Dahlia screamed and begged while sobbing
"Stop moving bitch!" He snapped and slapped her harder this time
Dahlia just lied there and sobbed
"There's a good girl" Adrien said before he brutally raped Dahlia for hours on end then beat her black and blue before leaving her sobbing and laying in her blood, all bruised and bloodied and crying while slowly dying
"Drink this!" Adrien demanded, it was a healing potion and when she didn't move he forcefully grabbed her by the hair and forced the potion down her throat
"Ahhhhh" Dahlia screamed as she was lifted of the ground by her long Blonde hair and forced to drink the potion
"There bitch! Now go or I'll start over again!" He snapped at her
And dahlia just ran, as far as she could go
She never spoke of what Adrien did to her, just dealt with it by her self and kept her head down and waited in fear until he did it again
*end flashback*
By the end of her flashback she was sitting against the door sobbing as she rocked back and forth
"I found you Dahlia!" Adrien said as he ripped open the green door
She stopped and looked up in horror as she realized that it would happen all over again
"please no...I- I'm sorry! P-P-Please, don't I won't tell again I'm sorry!" She begged as she backed up into the wall across from the door where Adrien was standing look viscous
"Oh you will be so sorry when I'm done with you dahlia!" He said as he stalked towards her
"Please stop!" Dahlia sobbed
"Never-" Adrien was answering Dahlia but was cut off by Harry Potter pushing him away from Dahlia
"You fucker!" Adrien screamed "how'd you even find us?!" He questioned furiously
"I heard her screams!" Harry stated as if it should be obvious
"Fuck Dahlia, your gonna get it worse for that." Dahlia looked down terrified and started shaking again
"No you won't!" Harry stated and Dahlia's head snapped up "Dahlia Malfoy is now under the golden trios protection!"
"Fuck you potter" Adrien spat at him "if you wanted her why didn't you just say so, Hey how about we tag team her?" Adrien smirked as Dahlia flinched violently and remembered her father beating her for her brother's mistakes
(Again you don't have to read the memory part: it's about the abuse she suffered at the hands of her father and her twin brother and again it won't be very graphic)
*memory Dahlia age 7*
"Father it was Dahlia, I saw her do it!" Dahlia's younger brother Draco malfoy lied to their father
"You! You broke your mother's expensive Jewelry that was on display! Oh your going to regret it Dahlia Carter Malfoy!" Lucius Malfoy Dahlia's father screamed at the cowering 7 year old girl
"P-p-please I-I D-d-didn't do it!" Dahlia stuttered as she looked fearfully at her angry father
"Don't lie to me girl!" He raged
"B-b-but I-I'm -n-not lying" she stuttered while sobbing and pleading
"She is lying father, I saw her!" Draco yelled
Lucius agreed with his only son even if he didn't see her do it
"Are you calling your brother a liar?" He questioned in quiet deadly voice
"N-no I'm s-sorry p-please" she stuttered
Lucius didn't listen to her, he just took off his belt and started whipping his only daughter with it
"Ahhhhhh" Dahlia screamed in pain
Draco while only seven looked extremely smug about getting his sister beaten by their father and that was only the beginning of her beatings from her father and brother

The door in the Malfoy's 'special' guest room burst open and in walked Lucius Malfoy with a furious expression
"Do what the gentleman says Dahlia! He's here at The Lord's request and I won't have you disobeying me or him!" Lucius Malfoy all but yelled at the cowering thirteen year old
"I-I'm s-sorry sir" dahlia stuttered scared but resigned to her fate
"On your knees bitch!" A masked death eater stated before dahlia dropped to her knees looking sick
Lucius left the room
"Good girl" he said petting her hair as she was forced to do "things" with him
*end memory*
"Come on Dahlia, let's get you out of here and into the Gryffindor common room where Hermione can help me, help you!" Harry said softy
Dahlia's head snapped up and she looked around scared only to see that Adrien was gone
"It's ok Dahlia, your alright. Just stick with us and you'll be alright ok? Will you let me help you?" Harry questioned her softly while holding his hands up in a non threatening way and where she can see them
"O-ok" Dahlia stuttered looking scared and hopeful at Harry
"Come on Dahlia" he said holding out his hand for her
"Ok" she whispered not believing that after 16 years of being out through hell by everyone she met, she found someone who will treat her better than anyone has ever done
"It's ok, I won't hurt you ever" Harry promised her softly
Dahlia didn't know what else to do so she flung herself into the arms of Harry Potter catching him off guard and knocking him over with you
"Oh I- I- I'm s-sorry I- I didn't mean to do that" dahlia stuttered looking terrified
"Hey Dahlia it's ok, I was caught off guard. I know you didn't mean to, come here." Harry said soothingly and gestured for her to go to him for a hug
She did slowly scared that he was going to snap and beat her like her brother or her father, when she got to him he pulled her into a hug and she relaxed and began to slowly trust him, not knowing that in a couple year she and the golden trio would be inseparable
*in the gryffindor common room with Dahlia, Harry and Hermione*
"You'll be ok I can heal all your injuries now, but I unfortunately can't help you with your mental pain..." Hermione whispered to Dahlia as she dabbed blood from dahlia's lip
"It's fine...I'm used to it" dahlia muttered quietly
"No one should be used to it Dahlia" Hermione responded
"I guess I'm the exception here, right now..." dahlia whispered
"I'm sorry" Hermione said unshed tears in her eyes
"It's alright-" dahlia was cut off by a certain red head screaming about slytherins in their common room
"What the hell is a slimy snake let alone a MALFOY DOING IN HERE?! Are we just letting slimy snakes come into our common room now?!" Ron Weasley shouted while pointing at Dahlia
She whimpered and started to shrink back into herself
"Shut up weasley! She's here with Mcgonogall's permission! I took her here! Now stop shouting and bugger off!" Harry shouted back
Ron froze in shock so did the rest of the common room, never before have they heard Harry Potter; the chosen one, saviour of the Wizarding world shout at someone, yet he just did at Ron Weasley for a slytherin no less
Ron unfroze then sneered at Harry and Dahlia "of course gotta stick up for your whore don't you Potter?!" Ron taunted
Dahlia flinched violently when Hermione and Ginny tried to comfort her
"Shut up!" Harry bellowed pulling his wand
"Harry your scaring her..." Hermione took Harry's wand from his hand and forced him to look at the cowering slytherin
"Shit! Bugger off Weasley!" Harry said before he knelt before dahlia hands in her view to show her he wasn't going to hurt her
"I'm sorry for shouting dahlia, I didn't mean to scare you..." Harry said softly
Dahlia looked up at him with tears streaming down her beautiful face
"I'm sorry..." he whispered again
Dahlia didn't answer just launched at Harry hugging him close to her
"Thank you..." she whispered so quietly Harry thought he imagined it
*After Harry shouted at Ron and dahlia was healed by Hermione*
Dahlia sat on the floor looking into the fire not moving
"Do you think she'll be ok Mione?" Harry quietly asked one of his best friends
"I think she'll need time for her to really be ok but yea I think so..." Hermione responded
"I hope she's not scared of us forever" Ginny Weasley Harry's other best friend muttered
"Me too Gin, me too" Harry said staring at Dahlia
"Harry you should check on her..." Hermione whispered to Harry's ear
"Ok..." Harry said getting of the couch and walking over to dahlia
"Hey Dahlia, are you ok?" Harry asked her softly
She jumped before she looked at Harry with wide fearful eyes
"I-I'm f-fine H-H-Harry" dahlia stuttered
"Hey it's ok, I swear on my life I will never hit you or hurt you..." Harry spoke quietly
"O-o-ok" dahlia whispered
"What were you thinking about?" Harry asked
"You! Why did you save me from Gray?" Dahlia asked quietly
"Because nobody should suffer from that kind of abuse, I was abused and neglected myself by my relatives until my godfather took me into his home" Harry responded
"Oh..." dahlia whispered
"Yeah, you look tired"
"I am..."
"Come on you can sleep in my bed..." Harry softly said
Dahlia looked scared
"No not like that! I'll conjure a cot for me! You can take my bed and I'll sleep in the cot ok?" Harry reassured her
"Oh ok" dahlia said before following Harry up to his dorm room
*in the dorm first night with the Gryffindor's*
"Soo...I'm sorry to say but we don't have our own room like slytherin or ravenclaw but it's fine, we share dorm rooms with three other boys" Harry said to dahlia
He looked at her when she didn't answer him only to find no one beside him "wha-" he seen dahlia looking terrified and start to shake
"Hey it's ok! I won't let them near you ok? I promise I will protect you with everything I have!" Harry stated passionately while grabbing dahlia to hug her close
*1year after Harry saved dahlia from Adrien Gray*
"Come on dahlia! Harry's waiting for us" Ginny shouted to her best friend and dorm mate
"Ok I'm coming" dahlia shouted back before walking out of the bathroom her long blonde hair still wet from her shower in Dutch braids with her school uniform on
"Ok finally let's go!" Ginny giggled as she dragged dahlia down to the common room
"How do we look?" Hermione giggled as Ginny, Dahlia and her modelled their school robes for him jokingly
"Amazing..." Harry chuckled
"Thanks!" They all said
"Come on let's get to breakfast!"Harry and dahlia stated together then looked at each other and laughed
"Come on love birds" Hermione said while Ginny rolled her eyes with a small smile on her face
Dahlia and Harry both blushed and started walking beside their friends
"We're not love birds..."dahlia muttered softly while thinking 'since when did I get comfortable with them? Since when are they my friends? Will they stay with me or will they leave me? Do I love Harry like that or is it just because he saved me? When will I have my answers'
"Of course not!" Harry said cheekily then he winked at her flirtatiously
She blushed while Hermione and Ginny both tried to muffle their giggles
"Shut it!" Harry and dahlia growled at the same time before looking at each other and laughing again
*7th year Dahlia's POV*
'It's been two years since I've become comfortable and felt safe with someone, since I've made friends, I met the person I love most in the world, my soulmate. He saved me that day here in hogwarts'
'I thought he would turn on me and be like draco or my father or like Adrien, but he's not and I thought I was safe until it started again' I say thinking in the common room
"Hey love" My boyfriend (Harry potter) said as he sat next to me " what's wrong my love?"
"What do you mean bub?" I asked him confused
"You have that look on your face, I haven't seen it since fifth year but I know that look, it's the one you had when you remembered what Gray did to you or what your supposed family did to you." Harry stated
"so what's on your mind my love?" Harry questioned
"I have received this letter today"I said as I handed him a letter that was from Adrien Gray apparently

I know it was you that got me sent to Azkaban, I will get you back D. You won't be able to hide from me! Not even potter will be able to protect you!

"I trust you bub" I replied trusting my boyfriend with my life and soul but I can't shake the feel of fear that's consuming my soul and occupying my mind
"I love you dahlia!" He whispered to me as we cuddled on the couch watching the fire
"I love you too Harry, with all of me" I reply meaning every word
We fell asleep cuddling in front of the fire
*A week later*
"Morning 'Mione, Gin!" Dahlia greeted her sleepy best friends
"Morning babe" both girls said tiredly
"Ok if Harry asks I went for a walk, just around the lake and courtyard ok? Maybe the school..." dahlia said to her friends as sheets grabbing her school bag with her books for the morning in it
"Mhmm" they hummed
"Good, bye girls...see you at breakfast or lunch"
*later that morning*
"Stop! Please! Stop I'm begging you just leave me alone!" Dahlia sobbed/begged as she was being thrown into an empty room in hogwarts
"I can't do that babe" a gruff voice came from the man throwing her around the room
"Don't call me babe! I'm not your babe! Your nobody!" Dahlia screamed as him
"Oh but you are love, you know me, I know you. We used to be together like this all the time D!" He stated
She froze, it was him!
"B-but how are you out of Azkaban?"Dahlia stuttered terrified to the bone
"Yes you're still smart I see, good girl" he said as he stepped from the shadows to reveal Adrien Gray
"P-please just leave me alone" she sobbed and she felt like she was dying
"I can't do that D" he said walking forward to her and started storming her hair
Dahlia flinched violently at the touch
"Why not?! Just let me go!" Dahlia screamed with tears streaming down her face
"Shut up!" Adrien raged
"I-I'm sorry" dahlia whispered
"There's a good girl" Adrien replied as he tilted her head up so they were staring into each other's eyes
She flinched and cried quietly scared to death by the criminal that haunted her dreams for years before she finally felt free
"Now let's have some fun" Adrien said before he raped her repeatedly then he beat her black and blue before leaving her there quietly sobbing curled into a ball
*in the great hall Harry's POV*
I walked to the great hall confused cause I haven't seen dahlia all day and normally she's always with me or Hermione and Ginny
When I got the the great hall I looked around to see if I could find my girlfriend but I can't see her so I walked over to Hermione
"Hey Mione, Gin! Have you guys seen Dahlia?" I asked my best friends when I got to them and sat down
She frowned "No I haven't, not since this morning anyway..." she trailed off
"Neither have I Harry, she left the dorm really early" Ginny Weasley answered
"What do you mean? when? Where did she say she was going?" I demanded getting more worried by the minute
"She said she was-" Hermione and Ginny were replying but were cut off by owls flying into the hall with the prophet
"What the hell" I mumbled confused before looking at the paper

Adrien Gray Escaped from Azkaban late last night while guards were busy checking the rest of Azkaban, be warned young ladies he is known to rape and beat ladies, his last victim almost died before he was sentenced but she was saved by our saviour Harry Potter we will be keeping her name out of the prophet out of respect for her and her request to be kept out of it. *after an hour of searching*(not longer Harry's POV)
"Fuck sakes my love where are you?" Harry whispered before He heard a quiet sobbing near the ROR in an abandoned classroom
"Shit! Dahlia! Is that you love?" He yelled before running to the room and yanking open the classroom door only to see his girlfriend sobbing on the floor beaten and broken all over again
"Harry" dahlia whispered brokenly
"It's ok my love..." Harry whisper and went to go to hug her
She whimpered as he got near and tried to move but she was too hurt
"Come on love, I'll take you to the hospital wing" Harry said then pick her up to take her to the hospital wing
"Madam pomfrey!" Harry yell upon entering the hospital wing and not seeing the school healer
"What is it mr potter?" Madam pomfrey asked slightly annoyed at his shouting
"Dahlia!" He gasped out and put his unconscious girlfriend onto one of the beds
"Oh dear!" Madam pomfrey exclaimed when she seen dahlia
*after Harry left the hospital wing*
"Miss malfoy, why do you have self harm scars and cuts?" Madam poppy pomfrey questioned her newest patient
Dahlia flinched
"I- I- I um- I'm sorry it's- I- I was ra- raped for years until fifth year until Harry saved me, I was beaten at my home, raped in my own room by my father's friends, my brother's friends and Adrien Gray, he was the worst of them, he beat me black and blue then raped me repeatedly for hours! So I'm sorry for self harming, but I have had a shit life!" Dahlia ranted while silently crying
"Oh my. I'm so sorry dear girl, I didn't know." Madam pomfrey said on the verge of crying "ill leave you here young lady with this dreamless sleep potion, take it before going to sleep ok?"
"Yes madam pomfrey" dahlia answered emotionless
"Ok goodnight dear" madam pomfrey said as she walked to the back room of the hospital wing
"Now to write my letters" dahlia muttered through her tears and found some parchment and a quill with ink in the side table drawer
Dear Harry,
I'm so sorry for this, I know you love me dearly and I love you too so much but I can't handle this pain anymore Adrien Gray has taken too much from me, he stole what was supposed to be the best years of my life, while it was only for 5 years I was still traumatized, I had nightmares every night after the night you saved me, until this year, I was getting to be me, not the person my father wanted me to be, or the person Adrien was making me, I was scared of my own shadow until you saved me. I'm so sorry to do this but the pain is to much to bear anymore, I love you and I want you to live your life to the fullest, do it for me my love. I don't want to see you dead until you have children Harry, and grandchildren. Marry someone who makes you happy and someone you love.

"Done my letters" dahlia muttered before she stood, left the letters on her newly fixed bed and left the hospital wing and headed towards the astronomy tower
"So pretty" she said as she looked over the moonlit grounds of Hogwarts for the last time
She looked down to her robe pocket and took out her blade that she always kept with her
She took a deep breath "here it goes, I'll always love you Harry" she said before she brought the sharp blade to her forearm and cut deep from her elbow to her wrist and then copied the action on. Her right forearm
"Goodbye my love" she muttered before she lost too much blood and passed out from blood loss before she bled to death in the dead of night alone with only Harry Potter, her saviour and boyfriend on her mind
*next day in the hospital wing*
"Madam pomfrey? Where's dahlia?" Harry, Hermione and Ginny questioned at the same time as they entered only to see that dahlia was nowhere to be found, the bed she was in was empty with only three letters
"She's in the bed dears" came madam pomfrey's reply as she exited her office "oh dear"
"Harry there's letters here with our names on them" Ginny said
"There in Dahlia's handwriting!" Hermione exclaimed "here Harry read yours first"
"Ok" he muttered and opened his letter, the girls reading over his shoulder and by the end of it Harry fell to his knees and let out a scream that broke three hearts at the sound and let out his magic
It swirled around the room cracking the walls and the ceiling, flipping the beds and crackling in the air
His magic slowed after madam pomfrey forced him to have a calming draught
He sat on the floor sobbing uncontrollably while muttering about dahlia
"I'm so sorry mister potter but what happened?" Madam pomfrey asked
"Dahlia- she- she- she killed herself last night" Ginny answered her brokenly tears streaming down her face
"Oh dear" madam pomfrey said tears in her eyes
"Come on gin let's read our letters" Hermione said with tears in her eyes
"Ok" and by the end of end letter the trio of friends were on the floor sobbing for the loss of their best friend and girlfriend/soulmate
*later that day in the great hall*
All students of hogwarts walked into the great hall to see it all black: no house colours and no tables, only row after row of chairs
When all students were seated a grave headmaster stepped up to the podium
"I'm am most heartbroken to tell you that Dahlia Malfoy has taken her own life late last night, after being bullied by her former house mates, and Adrien Gray, it was too much for young Miss Malfoy. Please take a moment of silence to grieve for her" Albus Dumbledore said looking sadly around he room for three particular students finding them all with bloodshot eyes
Harry Potter, Hermione granger and Ginny Weasley sat in the back row of the great hall quietly sobbing
*12 years later*
"Come on love" Ginny said to her daughter as they got to the Hogwarts express
"Coming mum" eleven year old Dahlia Lily Thomas said to her mother
"Hey love" dean thomas said coming over with his auror robes on
"Hey dean" Ginny said and he pressed a kiss to her temple
"Look mummy it's uncle Harry with aunt daphne!" Dahlia exclaimed
"Yes baby their bringing their son to the train too, how about we go say hi?" Ginny asked
"Ok mummy, come on daddy" dahlia said excitedly
Ginny and dean laughed and looked fondly at their daughter
"Hey Dahlia" Harry and Daphne Potter said as their 'niece' came up to them
"Hey uncle Harry, Aunt daphne" dahlia answered "Hey Jayden, what house do you wanna be in?"
"I wanna be in Slytherin, Like aunt Dahlia was, or maybe Gryffindor" Jayden Emrys Potter said to his best friend "do know where aunt Hermione is?"
"She should be around here somewhere with Blaise" Harry and Ginny answered before laughing
"You always laughed when you and Dahlia did that too Harry" Hermione's voice came from behind them where she was holding her daughters hand and Blaise was holding their son in his arms
"Carter say hi to your aunties and uncles before you have to board the train to hogwarts" Blaise Zabini told his daughter
"Hey uncle's Harry and dean, hi Aunties Ginny and Daphne" Carter Davina Zabini said before looking at her friends "so houses?"
"Gryffindor or slytherin" they all answered at the same time
The train horn went off
"Ok kids get on the train, it's time for you guys to go to school, have fun and write a lot ok?" Ginny, Hermione and Harry said in sync
"Ok mum, ok dad" They all answered before hugging their parents and boarding the train for their first year at hogwarts when the train was out of view the trio all said one sentence before they started leaving
"I miss her so much"
*with dahlia and Harry's parents and godfather*
"I miss you guys too" dahlia whispered softly while looking down at her first love and unofficial sisters
"Hey Dahlia! It's ok! You'll see them again soon" Lily Potter nee Evans comforted her dahlia
"They'll never forget you Dahlia Carter Malfoy!" James Potter and Sirius black stated wrapping dahlia and lily in a group hug
"I hope so..." she murmured into Sirius' chest
"Hey! I know for a fact that they will never forget you!" Lily said
The group pulled away from each other
"Thanks guys..." Dahlia whispered wiping away her tears
She sighed and walked away from the group to the beautiful lake view near the cottage the marauders (Sirius, lily, James, and Remus) stayed with her
"So it's been twelve long years since I decided I couldn't handle it anymore, I shouldn't have done it, but it was just too much for me to handle, between Adrien Gray and my past with my father and my brother, but that doesn't mean I stopped loving him, he'll always be my one love, my soulmate, and my person! I love you always Harry Potter..." dahlia repeated like she did everyday after watching Harry for the day just like the last twelve years
"See you when you get here my love!"
*as the trio was leaving the train station*
Harry, Ginny and Hermione shivered at the same time before looking at eachother and smiling softly
"She's watching over us isn't she?" Hermione asked tears in her eyes
"I like to think she is! She was our friend! She was my girlfriend for two years! I like to think she's always watching us!" Harry stated teary eyed
"Always..." they swore someone whispered that word into their ears
"Did you hear that?!" Ginny questioned
"Yeah!" Hermione and Harry answered at the same time
