Meeting the Oldest and Youngest Harvey Siblings
Claire is standing on the sand looking around trying to find Hayato and Emilia going out for a walk earlier which made her pout of jealousy and wondering what is taking them so long.
"Where are they?" Claire asked.
"You know, jealousy is an ugly look and I'm sure Hayato would still want to see your beautiful face." Rouge advised.
"What? Why would I be worried about what Hayato thinks of how I look. I certainly do not." Claire tried to denied Rouge's claim, but her blushing cheeks isn't helping.
"Honey, I know you can be competitive when it comes to something you like, but I can guarantee your heart that Hayato has plenty of room for loving you and that Emilia girl." Rouge winked.
"Huh?" Claire puzzled a bit.
"Rouge, come on! We're gonna play in the water for a while!" Karen called out with Miharu blowing a floaty for her.
"Coming!" Rouge waved back.
"Just ask him yourself, and I'm sure you wouldn't mind sharing him." Rouge whispered to Claire and walked to have some water fun with Karen.
"(So, what she is saying is even if Hayato would more multiple girlfriends, he would love me all the same.)" Claire thought, then her face turns steaming red.
"Miss President, are you okay? You're not getting a fever on our day off, are you?" Erica asked.
"Oh, I'm perfectly fine, it's probably just the heat from the sun." Claire played off much to Erica's confusion.
"Hey everyone, we're back!" Emilia called out to the group.
"Oh, welcome back-AAAHH?!" Karen screamed of shock.
The reason Karen's sudden scream is because as she sees Hayato and Emilie are coming back from their walk is that Emilie's white hoodie is open revealing "he" has boobs and a small yet cute womanly figure, which she instantly realizes that Emilie is actually a girl as everyone caught that on as well.
"Hey! What the heck is going on here? Why does Emilie look more like a girl now!" Latia asked as she is freaking out right now.
"I think it's because she is one." Fritz said calmly though surprise of this as well.
"Yeah, the truth is I'm actually a girl and my real name is Emilia instead of Emilie. Sorry about keeping this a secret from you." Emilia confessed and bowed in apologizes to everyone.
"What? You mean to tell me that he is actually a she?!" Liddy gasped as she and Shadow came back from their private time together.
"About damn time, it was getting annoying of this secret being kept." Shadow said.
"Well, it looks like Emilia has finally decided to show herself at long last." Claire smiled.
"President, you mean to say that you already knew about her this entire time?" Erica asked shock.
"Not at first, but it was during our mission against the Savage that I saw her true gender and promised to keep it a secret." Claire explained.
"(Though it was only for her to move out of the boy dormitory and not be so close to Hayato.)" Claire thought glared.
"No way, so the weird moments of how you two are so close, now it's making sense!" Sakura gasped.
"Yeah, that's right and there's another thing you should know." Emilia lifted up her hand along with Hayato's.
"Hayato and I are officially a couple now." Emilia announced.
"WHAT?!" Claire and Sakura gasped.
"(Oh man, the looks on their faces is so amusing. Maybe I can hold off the harem thing a bit longer.)" Emilia thought amused.
"I think you're enjoying this a bit too much." Hayato pointed out.
"Well, Hayato, it looks like things are looking bright for you." Shadow complimented.
"Thanks, I sure hope so." Hayato smiled.
"Wow, Hayato, you sure found yourself a lucky girl who has been with you the whole time." Sakura said pouting her cheeks.
"Yes, I hope you two would enjoy the many years of happiness." Claire said with her back turned against them.
"(They look pretty mad right now; I'll have to calm them down before I confess to them.)" Hayato thought hoped.
"So, you 're really a girl." Karen said as Miharu helped her push the wheelchair.
"Yeah, I'm sorry for lying to you about my gender, Karen. It just I really like your big brother and I wanted to spend every moment with him." Emilia apologized with her hands together.
"Well, I can see you two really do care for each other, so I won't be made." Karen said.
"That said, I expect some sweets and listening to Sakrua's music when you visit me." Karen demanded.
"I promise." Emilia nodded.
"(I wonder how Karen will react about the harem thing?)" Hayato thought wondered in worries.
Then suddenly they heard a helicopter noise sounding close and everyone looks up seeing one landing on the beach near them and saw an emblem on it.
"Is that the Warslarn insignia?" Hayato asked.
"Sure looks like it." Shadow said.
The door open revealing a man going down on one step of the stair-door which Claire knows with a slight hateful glare.
"Hello, Judar." Claire greeted.
"Quite a surprise to see the top man of Warslarn coming all the way here out of the blue." Rouge crossed her arms under her breasts.
"Not to mention he's Claire's older brother." Emilia added.
The man named Judar is a blonde-haired young man with blue eyes, dressed in a red suit similar to Claire's school uniform.
"Claire, it's been so long! That swimsuit looks great on you." Judar complimented.
"Oh, spare me the whole routine. State the nature of your business here. After an entrance like that, it better be important." Claire said firmly.
"To see you, of course! And all your precocious cadets." Judar answered.
"These are the future soldiers of Warstarn, and I hoped to greet them in person. I trust they're model representatives of your school." Judar looked at the cadets behind her and see potential in them.
"You two, you're Hayato and Shadow, right?" Judar asked.
"Y-Yes sir." Hayato greeted a little nervous.
"I am though I get the feeling you and I may not get along." Shadow stated.
"Well, aren't you the serious type." Judar commented with a chuckle.
"You two exceeded my sister's response values before even joining the squadron, making both the raising star of Little Garden." Judar said.
"Is there a point to this?" Shadow asked.
"Just saying you two could be something more in the future consider you also have the divine the blood." Judar blurted out the last part which confuses Shadow and Hayato.
"Oh, thinking out loud, don't pay any mind." Judar said.
"And over there, you must be Emilia Harriet. I heard you entered the school as a boy." Judar mentioned.
"I decided it was time to stop pretending to someone I'm not, sir." Emilia said with a little glare.
"I'm told you all have bright futures here, keep up the good work." Judar said.
"Come, Claire, I'll escort you to Little Garden myself. Let's go." Judar offered to give her a ride.
"Apparently, he needs to talk to me about something." Claire said.
"Should we come too?" Erica asked.
"No, there's no need to worry." Claire assured and followed Judar to the helicopter.
"Looks to me that those two don't have the close sibling relationship like you do with Karen." Shadow pointed out.
"Yeah, I can see that." Hayato said.
"(That man, he knows more than he's letting on.)" Shadow thought to keep his guard up around that man.
(The Next Day)
"Pretty weird that her brother showed up, huh?" Emilia asked, now wearing the female uniform.
"It sure was." Shadow said walking with Emilia and Hayato.
"Ah, good, you three are here." Liddy walked up to them.
"Something wrong, Liddy?" Shadow asked.
"Yes, President Claire has summoned you three for an important announcement." Liddy answered.
"Okay, but couldn't Claire just have texted us about coming to her office?" Hayato asked.
"I think she came to us in an excuse to see Shadow." Emilia teased.
"Silence! This is important!" Liddy snapped with her face blushing like crazy.
"It's okay, I'll always have time for one of my cute girls." Shadow kiss peeked her cheek making Liddy feel more embarrassed.
(Claire's Office)
"An anti-Savage operation?" Hayato wondered after hearing what Claire about this announcement. He, Shadow, Emilia, along with Fritz and Latia are present as well.
"Correct, this activity will be overseen by the UN's joint operations task force, the Peacekeeping Army." Liddy explained.
"Little Garden is sending members from the Selections as representatives for the cause." Erica added.
"Um, was that the reason you asked for us to come here too?" Fritz asked as he and Latia feel like they're out of place.
"This assignment will serve as your initiation into Selections. I would like the both of you to join the mission." Claire revealed shocking the two childhood friends and to their joy.
"Congrats, you two." Shadow smiled.
"Yeah, glad to have you with us." Hayato nodded.
After the meeting, Latia jumps around in joy that she and Fritz have joined Selection meaning they'll be part in some major actions though Fritz worry that it'll cut in on their free time.
"Mister Kisaragi, Mister Chaos." Judar called out getting their attention.
"Um, yes sir?" Hayato said.
"Is there something you need?" Shadow asked.
"Yes, fortunate that I run into you two because I wish to have a chat with the both of you." Judar answered.
"Now, but we're actually…" Hayato stopped his sentence when he sees Judar walking away.
"We might as well hear what he has to say and hope we like what we hear." Shadow suggested following the man.
Hayato hesitate at first not wanting to leave his friends and his first girlfriend without telling them, but Shadow and Judar are already leaving and decided to apologize Emilia after this chat the older Harvey brother wants.
"We should start training immediately!" Latia suggested.
"Right on, let's do it!" Fritz excited.
"Huh, where did Shadow and Hayato go?" Emilia noticed they're gone.
(Elevator)
Hayato and Shadow have joined Judar to ride down an elevator as he wanted to show them something while just quietly waiting to arrive at the floor.
"So, this chat has something to do with whatever floor you're taking us, right?" Shadow guessed sharply.
"Such insight, you are correct. Have you boys ever wondered what powers the whole Little Garden ship?" Judar asked.
"I hear it's a nuclear fusion reactor." Hayato recalled studying that.
"That's the official answer." Judar said confusing the two.
They arrived at the floor and exit the elevator seeing long red-lighted hallway as they walk through it.
"This ship contains a sprawling academic city-state. In order to power our research initiatives, Little Garden requires a tremendous amount of energy, and it takes quite a bit more than a fusion reactor to achieve that sort of output." Judar explained.
"Something here is more powerful than a fusion reactor?" Shadow surprised.
"Yes, and you two are about the source that keeps this dream boat afloat right through this door." Judar grinned as he types in the code and the door opened.
Shadow and Hayato walks in following the blue light at the end as they try to guess what this energy source could be, and the answer is revealed as both top boys gasp when they see a blue metal capsule and inside is a little girl.
Somehow, this little sleeping girl bears a strong resemblance to Claire albeit with a petite body and straight blonde hair. She is also covered in thorns with blue roses around her neck and a thorn-made crown.
"(This girl almost looks like Claire but smaller.)" Hayato thought surprised.
"Just like Sleeping Beauty from the fairytale, isn't she?" Judar commented.
"You got to be kidding me? This energy source you speak is this girl?" Shadow shocked.
"That's right, she is the beating heart of Little Garden." Judar answered as he looks at the girl.
"In truth, without her, we would be nothing. LiZA." Judar revealed the girl's name.
"You mean, she's LiZA? As in the AI of the ship?" Hayato shcoekd as well.
"Correct, she is the first Slayer and Variant ever created by humankind, Liza Harvey." Judar introduced the girl's full name which shocked the boys more.
"Harvey?" Hayato asked.
"That's right, she and Claire are sisters, and I am their older brother." Judar said.
Shadow and Hayato look at Liza again, never would they have imagined meeting one little girl with the strength to power the entire ship by herself meaning she could also be a strong Slayer as well though wonder why they never heard of her. Shadow thinks there might be more to this story while Hayato wonders how did this girl ended up being a power source of the ship exactly if she is a Slayer.
"You said too much." Claire said behind with a gun pointed at them.
"President?" Hayato gasped.
"Guess you got suspicious of your brother talking to us." Shadow guessed.
"Start talking, Judar. Why did you let two outsiders know our secret?" Claire demaned.
"Take is easy, what would Liza think if she woke up and saw you right now? Why, I'm afraid it would break her tender heart into pieces. She would probably say that you were acting very unladylike." Judar tried to calm her down.
"Yoou better answer my question right now!" Claire said and Judar just chuckles.
"I would also like to know why exactly did you bring me and Hayato here?" Shadow asked with a scary glare though Judar is unfazed by it.
"In the near future, these two boys will become the premiere Slayers under Warslarn's employment though Shadow is already part of an organization so the choice would be his to make." Judar glanced at Shadow with a smile.
"(So, he knows about me being from G.U.N.)" Shadow thought.
"I thought it would be right that they would know about Little Garden's secret that must be protected no matter what." Judar explained.
"Something tells me there's more to the story than meets the eye." Shadow suspected.
"LiZA's ability to generate energy could change the fate of the world. No one else can be allowed to have something so powerful." Judar explained more and dodge a gunshot to the foot shot by Claire.
"You watch your mouth! Call her a "thing" again and my next shot won't miss." Claire warned.
"My apologies, I wasn't thinking." Judar apologized.
"Anyway, there was another reason I brought these two with me. You see, they have the divine blood, and that means either one of them or both could be the key to truly awakening Liza." Judar mentioned.
"Explain yourself now." Claire demanded.
"He's talking about me and Hayato being Variant once we have the virus from the Savages flowing in our blood." Shadow pointed out.
"That's right, for some reason her responses seem to be drawn mostly towards you two the strongest than anything over the years and I want you to try waking her up with a "true love" kiss." Judar ordered.
"Wait, kiss her?" Hayato gasped.
"Have you lost your mind!" Claire snapped.
"He wasn't serious." Shadow said seeing that as a joke.
"Yes, I was kidding, you two should lighten up!" Judar laughed.
"Hayato, Shadow, all you have to do is touch the capsule which will release some of your energy into it." Judar explained honestly this time.
Shadow and Hayato look at each other for a moment wondering if this is okay as they look to Claire consider this is her little sister, the blonde president gave them permission to do so with a nod. The boys walk up to the capsule holding their hands out and Shadow suggest tapping into their Variant power to give Liza a little more power from them, their eyes turned gold and touch the capsule sending their Variant powers into it as Claire and Judar watch the capsule glows.
Then something happens within the capsule, Liza's right arm moves with the hand outward like she is reaching out to something or someone.
"Liza!" Claire called out as Judar watches of amazement.
But the hand went back down, and the glow died down.
"A failure, but not entirely. You two were able to make her move her right arm, something hasn't done in years meaning you have made her awakening closer than ever before." Judar clapped his hands to them.
"Now, I should warn you there's a ruthless woman who is hunting Liza. She will stop at nothing to steal her." Judar mentioned.
"Her name is Vitaly Tynyanov." Judar revealed the name of this ruthless woman.
"Vitaly Tynyanov?" Shadow wondered and suddenly a painful sensation screams in his head as a memory started to show of a woman with red hair.
"Shadow, are you okay?" Hayato asked.
Shadow didn't answer, but he knew deep down that woman feels very familiar to him.

Shadow and Hayato have met the older brother of Claire, Judar who he also introduces them to LiZA's true form which is a little girl sleeping in a capsule that powers up the entire Little Garden ship, and it looks like Shadow is starting to remember something else from his mysterious past as well.
