Harry staggered and fell as his feet hit the ground and looked jealously at Cedric who was still standing. He them registered the lack of noise and cheering fans. Standing, he saw rows of gravestones and subconsciously moved closer to his tall companion.

"Where are we?" Cedric asked, breaking the silence.

A rustling noise drew the boys' attention to a short, shadowy figure standing a few meters away. Harry heard a hissing noise, then realized it was words, parseltongue.

"Kill the spare," the figure hissed, who then raised their wand and pointed it at Cedric, murmuring a curse.

Everything seemed to happen in slow motion for Harry. He saw a bolt of green light leave the wand and realized that he was moving too. He ran and jumped through the air twisting to face Cedric, whose expression was changing from confusion to realization and fear.

Harry felt a ripple enter him as he took one last look at Cedric before everything went black.

Harry was naked. That was his first thought as he woke up on a cool floor. He wasn't cold, but he felt exposed. It wasn't until he found himself wishing for clothes that he found some on a bench next to him. Convenient.

He pulled them on, then became aware of a horrible wailing sound. He looked around to see that he was at King's Cross and that on the bench directly adjacent to him was a screaming bundle. He walked over to it and realized that it was some sort of baby, slightly slimy, with red eyes and pale, almost white skin. He felt the need to help the thing, but was repulsed.

"I'm sorry, but you can't help it Harry. It's too far gone."

Harry turned to see the people he never thought he would see again. A tall man was standing in front of him with messy black hair and light brown eyes. Next to him was a woman with fiery red hair and gorgeous green eyes, the same eyes as Harry.

"Mum?" he croaked. "Dad?"

His parents smiled and opened their arms, allowing him to run to them and hug him tightly.

"Oh, my baby. You're here. It's you!" His mother was crying softly into his shoulder.

"Oh Prongslet!" His father wasn't better, openly sobbing, even more than his mother.

They could have been standing there for seconds or weeks, but after some time, Harry drew back. Surprisingly it was his father who was mothering him.

"Oh, Prongslet! Look at him, Lily, he's entirely too thin. Have you been eating enough? And your hair is far too long, you look like Padfoot. Honestly, as soon as you get back to Hogwarts, I want you to call that house elf who likes you so much and bind him to you...and now that I think about it, that other one, Winnie. She could use it. Anyway, getting off track. House elves are known for their styling skills, so have him give you a haircut. Although, you might want Wimbleton to supervise, Robby is a little...hyperactive. I don't know if I trust him with sharp objects around your hair. And why haven't you bonded with your owl yet? She's a snow Phoenix you know, extremely rare, but she needs to be bonded to get her true form. Have Her-own-ninny look up animal familiars once you get back. And I noticed you haven't claimed your house ring yet? Have you been living under a rock? Is that why you're so thin?"

Harry's mind was spinning as he tried to keep up with his father's speed-talking.

"Oh, honestly, James," Lily scolded. "Give Harry a chance to breathe. But I would like to know about that rock bit, dear. Where have you been living?"

Harry shifted uncomfortably. "At Aunt Petunia's."

The station went deathly silent for three seconds. James had just enough time to tackle Harry before a wave of flames flew through the air where his head had been.

"TUNEY!? HE SENT YOU TO LIVE WITH HER AND HER WHALE OF A HUSBAND AND THAT MEGALODON SHE CALLS A SON!? ALBUS WAY TOO MANY MIDDLE NAMES DUMBLEDORE! WHEN YOU FINALLY DIE I AM GOING TO THROTTLE YOU, YOU OLD BARMY MANIPULATIVE TWO-FACED BACKSTABBING LITTLE-"

James covered Harry's ears as Lily let out a string of profanities which would have earned her detention for the rest of the year from McGonagall, no matter if she was still in school.

When she had finally worn herself out, she let out a sigh and plunked herself down on the bench next to Harry and James. She rubbed her hand in her forehead as if she had a headache and sighed again.

"Harry, we don't have much time. Do you know what that is?" His mother pointed at the wailing baby-thingy. He shook his head, afraid to speak.

"That is a horcrux. I'll spare you the five-hour lecture, but I do have a 1/2 hour one which condenses all the information."

She stood and a whiteboard appeared next to her while James groaned.

"Oh, shush, James! I had to sit through your Quidditch matches. Don't mind him, Harry. Anyway, the first known horcrux dates back to the Egyptian pharaohs, who used the magic to basically give themselves extra lives. They used cats as the containment vessels as cats were a familiar that only royalty could have and were viewed as the most trustworthy animal. Descendants of those cats can be found in magic cats who have nine lives. So, they are the most evil of things..." the lecture went on for a while longer, and when his mother finished, Harry was beside himself.

"THE OLD BASTARD!"

"Language, Harry," Lily scolded, before being sent twin looks of incredulity from her husband and son from the memory of some certain words that had been used not long before.

"I HAD ONE OF THOSE IN MY HEAD AND HE COULDN'T BE BOTHERED TO TELL ME!?"

"Harry, calm down! There's time to blame Dumbles once we're finished. Now, follow me."

"She's very scary when she has a time limit," James muttered to Harry.

They followed Lily to the end of the platform where there were broken glass cases.

"These are blocks. Dumbledore placed them on you to prevent some of your abilities. Being hit by a killing curse removed them. Luckily, now that they have been removed, I was able to add a layer of protection preventing the placement of any more."

Before Harry could let so much as an outraged yell out, Lily forced a book into his hand.

"Okay, this is information that you will need to know when you go back. It has a plan to take down Dumbles and completely reform the ministry and pure blood society, bringing Britain into the 20th century."

Both Harry and James stared at her.

"What, we can't see Harry unless he's at Hogwarts, and summers and the first 10 years got boring, I had to do something."

Harry, who was going through all of this in his head, latched onto one word. "Back?" His parents looked at him.

"I'm going back? But...I died!"

Lily and James brought him in for another hug.

"When you got hit by the killing curse again, it only affected the horcrux. Technically, you are still alive and horcrux free. It also destroyed the blocks, so you can go back and kick old Dumbles where it hurts," James explained.

Suddenly, Lily and James started to flicker.

"Oh, that's our cue. Just remember that we will always love you and be proud of you. Also...small thing, itty bitty really, there may or may not be a small marriage contract between you and Cedric, you can find out more in the journal, okay, love you, bye," his mother said quickly, before kissing his cheek and disappearing with his father.

"Wha-" Harry didn't have time to yell before everything went black.

Cedric didn't know what was happening. One minute he was grabbing onto the cup with Harry, the next he was in a graveyard. Then, some psycho shot a killing curse at them and Harry jumped in front of it to save him. The absolute idiot.

Cedric was internally screaming, devastated over the death of the younger boy. Tears rolled down his cheeks as he raised his wand at the figure. He tried to stun them, but his hand was shaking so much that he accidentally stunned a gravestone.

"Wormtail, you idiot! I told you to kill the spare! How dare you!"

Cedric was extremely confused as the bundle in the figure's arm started berating him.

"Crucio!"

He watched as the figure dropped to the ground, writhing in pain, but that was before his gaze fell on the body in front of him.

All thoughts of the figure forgotten, he knelt down, tears falling silently down his cheeks. He couldn't speak. He couldn't scream. All he could do was look at the pale face and the small body in his arms.

He didn't notice that the mysterious figure had stopped screaming. He didn't notice that the figure had stood up. He didn't notice that the figure was pointing its wand at him and he didn't notice the bolt of green light that soared through the air towards him. All of the sudden, there was pain in his cheek, darkness, and then he was falling.

-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-

Harry was laying on the ground. That was the first thing he noticed. The next was a sharp pain on his forearm.

"Quickly, Wormtail, get it into the cauldron now. You had better hope that the blood is still pumping through his veins, that's the only way this will work. If you ruined it, I will be most...displeased. By killing the other boy, I have proven that this form does not limit my capabilities."

Cedric. Harry's heart sank. Cedric had been killed. He felt tears welling up in his closed eyes, but did his best to keep them in. Voldy believed that he was dead and it wouldn't do to let on that he wasn't.

He suddenly became aware of a weight on his hand and, after making sure that Wormtail had stepped away, carefully cracked open an eye, then immediately closed it to keep from crying. It was Cedric, his hand brushing against Harry's, even in death.

Harry was almost at the brink of bursting into sobs when he realized that the hand against his had twitched. He cracked his eye open again and came close to letting out a shout of joy when Cedric's eyes met his. Both of their faces lit up when they saw each other, though Harry could see tears glinting on Cedric's cheeks, as well as a small wound in the shape of a lightning bolt.

Risking a glance around, Harry saw the cup not five meters away from his left hand. A flash of light made both of them glance in the direction of Wormtail and Voldemort. The latter of the two was stepping out of a cauldron in his full snakey glory. Red eyes peered out from deep-set sockets and pale, scaley skin glinted in the moonlight.

Voldemort appeared to give Wormtail orders and then Wormtail rolled up his sleeve. Voldemort proceeded to touch Wormtail's arm and Harry heard a whimper, before hearing the cracks of apparition and seeing people in black cloaks and masks appear.

Harry looked back at Cedric who had a grim expression and caught his eye, before pointing at the cup. He counted down on his fingers from five and he and Cedric sprang up and ran to the cup.

"My Lord!" Harry heard a shout and then a scream of rage and, "POTTER!"

A cracking noise at his feet sounded and Harry looked back to see his wand laying on the ground in three pieces. He slowed to try and go back out of instinct, but Cedric grabbed his hand and with one final step, grabbed on the cup. A red light flew over their heads, but after that was just a blur of light and a spinning sensation.

With a thump, the two boys landed at the entrance to the maze amongst shouts of surprise and the deafening music of the band.

Harry looked at Cedric and with an unspoken agreement, hands still joined, the two lifted the cup in victory.
