A/N: This little one-shot popped into my head last night at about 12:00AM. It thought y'all would enjoy it, so I wrote it out and posted it!
A first year girl with straight black hair, bangs, glasses, and Slytherin robes was quaking in her boots. It was only her second day of school and she was being bullied by Leo Suley, a third year Slytherin. Third year! Her day had started out horridly. First, in an attempt to avoid some mean girls, she had run into the girl's bathroom and met a ghost. Who looked just like her. Moaning Myrtle did NOT do a good job calming the poor girl down, and fear caused her to flee the bathroom- the very place she had been trying to find refuge in the first place!
Now Leo Suley was teasing, yelling, and snickering at her with his goons.
"Raven! Her name is Raven! She doesn't belong in Slytherin! SHE BELONGS IN RAVENCLAW! WITH ALL THE OTHER NERDS!"
Now in tears, poor Raven just wanted to run away. All the jeering kept her frozen in place. Sniffling and shaking, taking every hit the bullies threw at her.
Suddenly, a new voice rang out.
"Hey! Leave her alone!"
Silver Jenkins was standing in between Leo and Raven with her hands on her hips and a stink eye aimed straight at the bullies. Silver was a second year, and was known for being an expert at well, everything. She was good at everything she did, including standing up to bullies.
"It doesn't matter what her name is! Just go away, you're making her cry!"
When Leo just rolled his eyes mockingly and grinned maliciously, Silver shouted,
"And anyway, your name, Leo, means lion. So you're 'Lion the Slytherin'. Maybe you belong in GRYFFINDOR! Oh wait, they wouldn't want a scumbag like YOU to be a part of their house!"
Leo looked just about ready to explode. He drew his wand with his "henchmen" mimicking his movements. Silver drew her wand and began uttering a jinx when a nasal, whiny, utterly Slytherin voice spoke.
"I do hope that there are no problems I need to deal with. Especially from well behaved Slytherins. I wouldn't want the Headmistress to come after me for any incidents you five are causing."
Professor Draco Malfoy stepped out of the shadows with a sneers distorting his face. That sneer morphed into an eye roll when the voice of Professor Harry Potter rang out,
"Oh, shove off Malfoy! Jenkins was doing just fine handling the situation!"
"Handling the situation, Pottah? No I think she was just finding an excuse to cause problems for Mr. Suley. Unfortunately Miss Jenkins, you're unacceptable behavior is going to cost Slytherin 10 points! Such a shame. I do hope that no one in your house will hold any grudges toward you for loosing points."
"Are you kidding me Malfoy?! That's it, 10 points for Slytherin because of Jenkin's chivalry!"
"10 points from Slytherin!"
"10 points to Slytherin!"
"10 POINTS-"
A scoff could be heard as Professor Hermione Granger marched towards the quarreling Potions Master and Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher.
"Honestly you two! You're setting a bad example for the students! You haven't changed a bit!"
Mr. Potter looked sheepish while Mr. Malfoy sneered.
"Sorry, 'Mione."
"That would be Professor Granger during teaching hours. Now, Malfoy, go down to the dungeon and wait for your next class there or so help me I will turn you into a ferret! And Harry, your students are probably waiting outside your classroom at the moment so I advise you to get there as quickly as possible. No, neither of you give me that look. I WILL call for Headmistress McGonagall!"
With both Professors Potter and Malfoy dispatched, Ms. Granger turned to the five Slytherin students who had been watching the whole affair play out with great interest.
"Mr. Suley, go to your Herbology class and explain to Professor Longbottom why you are late. Silver and Raven, I believe your next class is Transfiguration so you'd better come with me."
Leo stalked away toward his next class while Silver and Raven trailed behind Professor Granger. Hermione smiled softly to herself, remembering the excitement and independence that came with being a student at Hogwarts.
Welp, hope you enjoyed! Hopefully I stayed true to the character personalities and you had fun reading this! Please leave a review!
