Title:It's Going To Be Alright
Team:Pride of Portree
Position:Chaser 2
Note: Yes I changed "girl" to "boy" and "queen" to "king" but it was so the lyrics could work better for the story
The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen
A kingdom of isolation
And it looks like I'm the king
Harry stumbled into his room. the others were already packed and gone, but he had just got back from Dumbledore's office. He couldn't believe Sirius was gone. He should have listened to Hermione. If he did Sirius would still be alive. Why did these things always have to happen to him? Why couldn't his life just go right for once. It's not like Dumbledore helped either. Did he really have to tell him about the prophecy now? If He told him that earlier things could have ended differently.
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I've tried
Don't let them in, don't let them see
Be the good boy you always have to be
Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know
Well, now they know
Before Peter knew it he was crying. It had to be him or Voldemort. There was no there way for this war to end. But where was he going to go after if he survived? He wouldn't go back to the Dursleys that's for sure. But now Sirius was gone, so where would he go? How was he going to stop Voldemort? Dumbledore hasn't been any help and if he knew all along why hasn't he helped Harry before? He would have to talk to Ron and Hermione. This was all too much for him. He walked to the bathroom and for some reason it all just hit him. He is alone, he had to kill or either be killed and had no idea what to do.
Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door
I don't care what they're going to say
Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway
While he was crying he heard a sound coming from his room. He looked over and saw Hermione standing there. She stared at him for a second before slowly walking towards him and wrapping him in a hug. In that moment he broke down even more. He didn't know what he would do without her. Throughout all his years here at Hogwarts she has always stuck by him. He knew he would have to tell her soon. Because there is no way he is going to be able to do this without her. They both sunk to the floor as she continued to hold him. She ran her hand through his hair trying to comfort and calm him down. And he had to admit it did help. He wondered where Ron was at this moment. If anything he thought he would be the one to find him. He was glad though, that after all the people he has lost that he still has his two best friends. He wouldn't have been strong enough to make it this far without them.
It's funny how some distance makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me can't get to me at all
It's time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me
I'm free
They sat there for a bit. Harry calming down from all the revelations that he discovered that night. He knew it was going to take some time for him to heal. But while Hermione hugged him he knew he was going to be okay. He was going to spend the summer preparing for what is to come. Sirius might be dead but he was going to live for him. For him and his parents, and make them proud. He was going to work with Ron and Hermione and he was going to beat Voldemort. Then have the life that his parents and Sirius wanted for him.
Let it go, let it goI am one with the wind and sky
Let it go, let it go
You'll never see me cry
Here I stand and here I stay
Let the storm rage on
After a few minutes Hermione let him go. She just looked at him wiped away the stray tears and gave him a smile. He knew everything was going to be just fine. They both stood up but said nothing. Harry had to admit he did feel a bit better. He wanted to tell her now he just didn't know how. How do you tell your friend there is a very good possibility that you're going to die.
"Hermione" he started off looking into her eyes "we need to talk, there are somethings I need to tell you" his voice getting softer by the end of the sentence.
"Alright, what do you need to tell me?" gaining his gaze back to her. "does it have something to do when you were talking to the headmaster?"
Harry just nodded not being able to speak. Feeling like he has a lump in his throat. Hermione just looked at him with understanding and nodded.
"Alright let's go find Ron and then we could talk." She took his hand and started leading him to the common room.
My power flurries through the air into the ground
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I'm never going back, the past is in the past
They found Ron sitting down on the couch. Everyone was gone saying goodby to their friends before they boarded the hogwarts express. They caught his attention when they walked in.
"Hey guys whats up?" He asked standing up.
"Harry wanted to tell us about something" Hermione all sat down around the couches facing the fire.
"When I was with Dumbledore told me something. He told me what the prophecy was. I don't really want to repeat it but at the end it's going to come down to me or him."
They both looked at him shocked. Ron looked a little angry while Hermione just wanted to looked down at his hands in his lap not wanting to make eye contact with them.
Let it go, let it go
When I'll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go, let it go
That perfect boy is gone
Here I stand in the light of day
Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway
They both got up and hugged him. Reassuring him that everything is going to be ok. And he believed them, He knew with them by his side he knew he could get through anything.
